The day had started like any other for the young Shaman; He prayed and ate, studied a little and then went about his errands that needed to be done. If others need his help, he would aid them as best he could and spend his downtime preparing salves and potions that needed to be restocked. It was a simple life but one that gave Jack immense satisfaction and joy. He had not been Shaman to the Serora tribe for very long, but he was slowly getting used to the daily grind. So now as the sun rose to its highest point of the day, Jack quietly hummed to himself as he wandered around the canyon that was lower areas Osulas. Other horses and foalds were out, running around the canyon and enjoying the cool shadow that it offered against the heat of the rocky earth. Bending his head, Jack carefully picked a bushly of flowers with his telekinese, gently stowing away them in his satchel that hung from his hip. Jack didn't hear the apporaching pawsteps that came towards him as he minded his own buisness, only raising his head when he heard the soft whine of a Coyota; it wasn't rare to see them near the canyon, especially when many found homes among the Serora people.
But this one seemed different. Tilting his head, Jack watched as he little one jumped around and whined, tail between its legs and ears back as he yapped and whined at Jack, or so it seemed to. Was it begging for food? perhapse hoping to get a scrape of anything from the horses that occupied the canyon. Frowning slightly, Jack stepped towards the Coyota to see if it would scurry off, hurry back to it's pack and go home... but there it stood still, looking up at him and circling, whining still. It seemed pecular to Jack, and with slight hesitation he opened his mouth to speak to it "Are...are you okay? is something wrong" he asked, wondering if it would understand him or not. But his words seemed to gain a reaction from the dog, it jumping up and waving it's tail more, walking away and stopping to look at Jack once more. Raising his brows, Jack decided that what ever it was it must have been important for this dog to come and seek someones aid.
And so Jack trailed after the familar creature, watching as it stopped every so often to glance back. Leaving the shade of the canyon wasnt all that unpleasent, but Jack found himself soon sweating, his ears pressed back as he continued on this never ending journey of tag with this Coyota. After what seemed like forever, Jack was just about to give up and turn back when he noticed the Coyota ducking into a natural crack in the side of a steep hill. Frowning, Jack wondered if he should really trust this dog but...he had followed it this far, right? Licking his lips, Jack stuck his head into the cave, blinking as his eyes adjusted slowly to the dimly lite room. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until.
With a gasp, Jack's eyes widened as he saw the horse collapsed on the floor, saliva dripping from his open mouth as he lay there seemingl half dead. Rushing forward, Jack realized all too quickly who it was. "Booker?! Booker are you still there?!" he called, throwing down his bag and quickly opening it. He wished he had known what was going on, brought the right stuff but he couldnt think about that now!! With his heart racing, he salvaged through the bag "booker wake up" he spoke loudly, trying to see if the stallion would respond.
