Kathra|War Forged|Valkyrie
Kathra plodded through the muddy streets of Skelder Town, another long day of training over. Well, not that long today, one of the valkyries managed to accidentally damage some of the equipment so training had to be halted until it had been fixed. So Hira had given them the rest of the day off. The chill mountain air filled her lungs as the mare looked over the rustic township she called home, her heart missing the open countryside just a touch. She looked in through the windows of a few shops, taking particular time to look into the armor shop. She'd been thinking about getting herself some hide armor, nothing to heavy like steel but would still protect her and keep her warm. She flicked her tail, moving on and taking in the other shops. There were bakeries, clothing shops(no clothing that would sustain fighting though, much to Kathra's annoyance), weapon shops, bookstores, furniture stores, familiar shops, then just some odd and sundry touristy shops for all the outsiders that visited on occasion.
She continued on, not really thinking of much, till she heard a bit of a commotion. She looked up just in time to see the door to a coffee shop fling open and a mare not much younger than herself shove out a horse not much older than herself out. Shouting something about getting out more then shutting the door behind him. It took a moment later to register that the stallion had been pushed out with such force that he'd actually bumped into her. She looked up at him, a quizzical expression on her face.
"Uh, hello there."

Marco | War-Forged Merchant Marco hated his sister to say the least. He hated her quite a lot.
Here he had been, just calmly trying to get the shop cleaned up a little during a slow spot during the day. He had been wiping down the counter and organizing the mugs, when his sister came up behind him and said it was his 'Sunshine Time'. Marco protested rather strongly, digging in his heels into the stone floor of the coffeeshop as his younger sister quite literally shoved him towards the front door. This was not okay! She KNEW he didn't like going outside! Especially into the cold, all alone! Why did she keep doing this!?
"You're going out there, Freckles!" Mirth said while shoving him towards the door. While she was younger, she was much more physically strong then her brother, and could quite easily overpower him.
"Mirth, M-Mirth, I don't need to g-go out there- MIRTH!" Marco shouted as his sister shoved the door open and forcefully threw him out into the open area. He stumbled heavily and smacked into something firm before falling squarely on his hindquarters. He stared back at his sister standing in the open doorway of the coffeeshop. "M-Mirth, come on!" He pleaded again.
"Nope! You get your Sunshine Time, and you aren't coming back in until you're out there for at least an hour!" The freckled smoky black mare snipped back. She threw a thick, silvery caribou pelt cloak out after him, smacking him square in the face before shutting the door firmly and locking it with a click.
Marco let out a small noise at the pelt smacking him in the face and draping rather ungracefully over his head. He pulled it down to rest on his back and quickly scurried to his feet before going to the door and banging on the door. "Mirth! Come on!" He shouted, his ears flat against his head. He just saw his sister turn to look at him, her blue eyes clearly holding an expression of 'are you serious', before she stuck her tongue out at him and went back to barista duties--the duties that should have been his to do! Ugh! "Kaia smite me now," he moaned and collapsed against the door, the caribou pelt falling over his head.
He was going to freeze out here! All because his stupid sister thought that it was 'good' for him to get out. Yeah, right, as if. Marco gave a small, pathetic noise and blew his black wavy hair out of his face to stare at the window, and it was then that he heard a voice.
"Uh, hello there."
His head shot up and he quickly looked over to see a rather large horse standing there. With the hoofprints from his stumble next to her. Oh noooooo, he'd ran into her! That was what he ran into! "Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it! My sister is just a jerk, and she threw me out so I could get 'Sunshine Time' or whatever, and she won't let me back in, and I didn't mean to run into you, I'm really sorry about that," he rambled on, his face flushing a little.

Kathra|War Forged|Valkyrie
Kathra listened to the stallion ramble on, stifling a chuckle as she raised an eyebrow. She nodded after he finished, so, this one didn't get outside much it seemed.
"Don't worry about it, my brother and I have had similar tussles." she snorted, remembering some of her childhood moments with her older brother Murdok. She briefly wondered how he was doing, recalling his wish to be a scout like their father before she left for Valkyrie training. She looked around to where the coffee shop was. She'd heard of this place, she was pretty sure, something about the other Valkyries stopping by for coffee or tea on occasion. She looked back at Marco.
"It must be a slow day if your sister thinks your time would be better spent outside than helping in the shop." She remarked with a snort, twitching an ear and flicking her tail. The Chimera blinked and mentally slapped herself at forgetting to mention who she was.
"Ah, I almost forgot, the name's Kathra." She said, dipping her head quickly in greeting, before looking expectantly to the stallion infront of her.
"And your name is?" She asked, her head inclined slightly to catch the unknown name.
