Accompanied by Antiope - a trusted and respected member of the Flock - their purpose away from the Aerie was a simple one; take out a man who dared to threaten the safety of the Flock. Though the Flock was careful about who they did business with, there were times when bad apples slipped through. Generally the task of removing traitors fell to Tabitha, and the mare took great pleasure in the act. The safety of the Flock of the utmost importance to her.
Salty sea air filled the grey mare’s lungs. It reminded her of past memories, the childhood she spent in a cozy seaside village. Just for a moment - and only a moment - she allowed herself to find some peace in those memories before coming back to reality.
They had traveled into a village, which rested near the docks that Isles of the Dead, to find this traitor. It was vital that the man was taken out quickly. It was dangerous to come into town, they had to use their time wisely. Any delays and they could risk the Flock being exposed - whether from the traitor or guardians catching them. The current political situation of the Talori wasn't of much help, it only made things more difficult. Riots resulting from the child sacrifice caused the guardians to be on high alert. Every pegasi was a suspect. Anyone who showed the slightest sense of disagreement to the sacrifices were questioned, and some even arrested.
The presence of Freedom’s Flight was, of course, not well known. It was kept to rumors, which generally remained among the inhabitants of the Isles of the Dead. The curious equines were the ones who took the risk to delve further for the truth. Finding the Flock was no easy task. The man whom they were seeking out was a brewer, who did trading business with rogues. Knowing only a description of what the man looked like, finding him wasn't exactly easy.
Tabitha turned to Antiope. “The guardians over there have been watching us,” she spoke in a hushed tone. She eyed the guardians from a reflection on a window. “They are getting suspicious...we better find this guy soon, or we might end up finding trouble with those guardians.”
