When You Look At Me Farsight & Zenith
Setting: Torrine, the weather is grey and dreary a faint bit of mist falls from the the sky above. The weather matches the attitude of most here in Torrine, though some try to keep their spirits up as well as others.
Farsight laid in his own little hut, it didnt compare to his own home. Where he had earned each item within there, from a few lush pillows to soft blankets, his home was well.. His own, and somehow he was taken away from it all. Taken away from everything. Most days, he was brave, he would smile and try his best to keep his feelings at bay. He would perform with his cards to give hop for others, he had discarded a few of the awful cards so that he wouldn't have to deal with handling that situation. Yet on a day today, he laid in his hut sighing gently as he let his head poke out from the door, allowing the faint mist of rain fall on him. He was curious, how was everyone else doing? How where they, many did their own thing, anything to try and adjust to this way of life.
Ears flickered a bit as he glanced about the place, he wondered how she was... He lifted his head and nodded briefly to himself deciding that yes, he would go and try to find her. He sighed a bit as he got up, his body still ached from that day, he was never attacked like that before. His wings were still in wraps so he wouldn't have to try and keep them rested at his side. While his bruises and cuts faded from him completely, he looked pretty healthy. Something he was thankful for in all honesty. With a quick shake of his head ridding himself from any access of water, Farsight made his way into the heart of Torrine, wondering if she would be there. If not he'd have no shame in searching for her everywhere. A part of him so desperately needing to see her, as if making sure she was well and alright. Everytime he seemed to vanish from her side something happened to her, it made his stomach tie in knots. He couldn't let it happen again, he'd stay with her, to Torrine, to wherever she may go, he'd be there beside her.

Zenith Talori Brewer
It had been a long few months since the Winter Solstice debacle. Though the horse had only lived within Torrine’s borders for a few weeks, it seemed much longer. A blessing in disguise the emperor had called it, and though at times the appaloosa had a hard time seeing it, they tended to believe it. Hawkeye was their brother after all, and the brewer couldn’t imagine the older horse knowingly lying to them. Anxiety and intense pain had kept Zenith practically home bound since they moved into the simple hut they now called home. To call it a hut was almost amusing to the copper horse, as it was much larger than their previous shop and cottage combined. Potions and brews laid scattered about the shelves and workbench as the appaloosa stared at the window, counting the unfamiliar faces that passed. It was a tactic they’d used many times before in an attempt to ground themself and keep the darker thoughts and memories that tended to be stirred up by the recent chaos at bay. It worked well enough, and Zenith’s anxiety began to wane slightly as they slowly lost themselves in the monotony of it all. That was, until they spotted a familiar figure among the endless sea of meandering faces. Farsight. The appaloosa’s heart almost jumped out of their chest. Zenith hadn't seen their betrothed since they’d entered settlement. They’d almost started thinking that the young pegasus had chosen to flee Aquore instead, as they knew the speckled stallion was a flighty creature who greatly valued his freedom above most things. A smile crept onto the spotted horse’s face as they awkwardly hobbled out the door, not bothering to grab the cart or braces that made long distances and long days on their feet possible. “Farsight!” They called, relief and excitement evident in their voice. “You’re here, you’re really here!” Their voice cracked slightly as they stumbled a bit on awkward legs, attempting to reach the stallion without falling face first into the cobblestone street. “Where have you been? I was worried...I thought…” Zen’s words caught in their throat, not wanting to offend the younger horse. Though their engagement had been arranged, and their relationship had a rocky start, it was safe to say that (at least on Zenith’s part) love had slowly begun to blossom. "Never mind...You're here, that's all that matters." Nickering softly, Zenith pressed their forehead against the stallion's cheek. [Word Count: 419]

Farsight -Harrower-
A voice called out to him, his name falling so freely from her lips, how could he forget how wonderful and oddly intoxicating it was to hear it. For once it wasn't breaking from sadness or horror, instead he could feel the energy the excitement in it. Gods, why did it take him so long to seek her out? Why did he know nothing of such things? He turned his head and there she was, a smile breaking on his face. "Zenith." he spoke softly to her, smiling all the more. She spoke more and seemed so astounded that he was here, and in all honesty... He thought of fleeing, of running awya from this place, how he so very much wanted to take his little group of friends out and away from the dangers of this herd. They all had a reputation now. Would it bite them more in the butt now? Yet as Zenith spoke, he felt guilty, that he allowed her to feel like he would have vanished from them in a blink of an eye. Though from past events he couldn't really blame her.
"Sorry Zenith." he remarked lowering his head as she moved towards him and embraced him so gingerly. He nuzzled her cheeks and let out a sigh amongst her neck. This was home, he felt, But as to why? He really couldn't understand. "I was having some trouble coping with everything." he admitted a bit shamefully. "I kept to myself for a while, I spoke to a few here, but I hardly moved. I'm so sorry... I should have came to find you sooner." he remarked gently. Eyes looked to her and smiled. "But I'm here to stay. Like I said before I'm not leavin you again." he remarked as he nipped her forelock playfully.
He wouldn't lie that he was a bit nervous around her, but in ways he couldn't comprehend. It was like being nervous around her, yet he longed for her attention, her gaze and when he received it, he was baffled and unsure of what to do. Surely he'd make himself a fool before her. "How are you Zenith? Have you been well?" he remarked as his eyes looked over her form, checking for any wounds or sign of trouble. He never mentioned the fact she was missing her brace of cart. She was strong willed and if she wanted to do without them, then he would be her shoulder if she needed it. He'd be her wings to guide her safely back. He may not be thick like other stallions, but gods be good he had the will power to change the tides forever.

Zenith Talori Brewer
"Sorry Zenith... I was having some trouble coping with everything. I kept to myself for a while, I spoke to a few here, but I hardly moved. I'm so sorry... I should have came to find you sooner. But I'm here to stay. Like I said before I'm not leavin you again."
The copper horse nodded knowingly as the pegasus spoke. The last couple weeks had been hard, and there were many adjustments to be made for all Talorians, none of which promised to be easy. Zenith's anxieties began to quell a bit as they grounded themself in the familiarity and safety Farsight provided. He was a breath of fresh air in a suffocating time.
"It's alright Farsight." The appaloosa murmured, gently leaning against the younger equine for support. "I understand...I haven't left home myself. Solitude, though it can be lonely at times, has a tendency to present you with clarity as well...something I have found I am greatly in need of at this time. I will admit though, I am so happy to see you here. I've missed you terribly, and my concern for you only doubled it." The horse whispered, smiling gently at the young stallion. Time almost seemed to stop for the young horse, standing there with the one they had come to love. It had crept up on them, quietly and slowly, but it was a feeling that Zenith welcomed with an open heart. For years, the horsehad pushed aside thoughts of romance or loving, believing themself unworthy...and then they'd met Farsight, and though Zenith had been quite skeptical of the younger stallion, he'd since then far surpassed any expectations the appaloosa had of the speckled pegasus.
"How are you Zenith? Have you been well?" Farsight's voice broke into their thoughts, startling them slightly.
"Aye, I suppose in some ways... Though in others, not so much." The copper horse cringed slightly as they shifted position. "But we should continue this talk inside. Please, come in." Zenith flashed a smile as they slowly hobbled along, leading the other equine to their home. They had much to talk about, but the conversations at hoof were better suited for a more private environment than the middle of the street.

Farsight Pegasi || Harrower || Talori
In a way he was happy to be with her once more, it was like a piece of him was missing and somehow with her there, he felt whole once more. He didn't quite understand these feelings, the way he was ready to sacrifice himself for her, or how he'd bring himself down, when he caused her any grief. He didnt understand love, he thought it was like always these stories, it was a spark a single eye connection and one knew. Little did he know, love was more like a calm breeze the way it can slowly creep upon him. The way it felt like home, and ruffled his feathers and made him want to cast everything aside and fly within its winds. Love was this, and so much more. Though Farsight, still young, still naive had trouble understanding this feeling was more then just a love for friends and family, but a love unlike any other.
Ears and body remained alert to her, listening to her words, and every part of him screamed why did he not visit sooner? Why was he still a coward on the inside? He could easily pull of being brave, the cocky smile, the puff of chest, but inside, Cascade help him, he was still afraid. She spoke true of clarity, while he... He tried to look at his own cards and dealt himself a deck, and it only brought back shivers of the mere glimpses he saw. He though preferred to keep such things to himself, what good would it be to trouble her. "Yes, lets go inside." he remarked with a playful smile, nipping at her mane a bit, before a quick peck on her cheek. He had been bad at showing affection, afraid he may do the right thing, but a part of him wanted to make sure she knew he cared. Though he smiled, he felt a bit worried of what else there was to talk about. He followed her inside the small house and looked to her.
"You know you can speak freely to me as ever Zeneith I wont judge at all, and what is spoken between us stays with us." he remarked with a confident smile. He felt that maybe letting her know would make her feel a bit more easy, or maybe it was to make himself feel better, he wasn't to sure. But he could feel the rise of panic in his chest, the way his heart seemed to speed up. These sort of talks... did they ever lead to good things?

Zenith Talori Brewer
"You know you can speak freely to me as ever Zenith I wont judge at all, and what is spoken between us stays with us."
Zen nodded softly, settling down on a large pile of blankets and pillows in the corner, their joints finally giving in to the pain and fatigue that plagued them. Grabbing two potions off the shelf, Zenith looked to Farsight, motioning for the young stallion to make himself comfortable as they quickly gulped down the potions. The appaloosa hoped they would stave off the pain and anxiety that were quickly overwhelming them, but as with all potions, it was luck of the draw. Thankfully, the copper horse was fairly sure this last batch they'd made was a good one.
Sighing heavily, the appaloosa looked to Farsight once more, studying him carefully as he settled in. He made grandiose claims and promises that he could be trusted and would never leave them...but doubt still clung in the recesses of Zenith's mind. They were scared...terrified even of what the younger horse would think...what he'd do... but they desparately needed someone to talk to. Taking a shaky breath, the young horse began to speak.
"I..I don't know where to begin with all this...so please bear with me." They paused, trying to decide how to continue. "I haven't slept well in days. Aside from the general anxiety, flashbacks, and pain that I expected to come of this, my nights have been riddled with nightmares more terrifying than I can explain...I feel like...Like I've angered the gods somehow, and they want to punish me..." Zenith paused once more, tears threatening to spill down their cheeks as they recalled the figures from their dreams. "Not that I wouldn't understand it...I'm a sinful creature in the eyes of Cacsade..." The horses words came out more as sobs than anything, as they pulled thier legs close to their body, curling up in a tight ball. "I'm scared Farsight.... I feel like something is going to happen to me... and I don't want whatever it is to hurt you too..."//

Farsight The Harrower of Talori
He followed her in, and got comfortable and watched as she downed a few potions. Heartbeat began to race, he thought of his talent, his gift with potions and his desire to run his own gypsy shop, yet here was Zenith struggling to cope with her pain, and anxiety. Farsight vowed to try and learn someone new in hopes to help her. Though all thoughts dropped as she began to speak. Pupils thinned as his eyes widen, there was no time to think of what he was doing. It was as if his body moved without thought or course. the second he heard the cry in her voice, the tears in her eyes, he was by her side. His wing outstretched to cover her, as he nuzzled into her neck. He listened to her words, and he felt this sudden rush of hatred for the gods, he was unsure as to why, but the idea of them punishing Zenith... The mere idea, she would think that made him want to throw away all his beliefs on them and turn his back on them. If they punished her. they were no gods of his.
Farsight was still young still reckless. He tried hard to be the adult many needed him to be, but at times. He failed miserably, would now be one of those times? He pulled away from her neck to look at her, a stern look on his face. "Zenith, you do not deserve to be punished at all. To even think yourself to be so... it kills me on the inside." he remarked. "You have done so much for everyone. You have followed you heart, you have fought for your friends, for what you thought to be true. If that is worthy to be punished. Then gods be damned Zenith, I'd take all the wrath for you." he remarked. He didnt falter in his words, nor pause. he spoke the truth, it was clear to see he bore no true affection for most gods, even though he was blessed, it was a curse in disguise.
He paused for a moment probably knowing his words may not be what she needed to hear. "Maybe the stress of everything has caused them? Its been prettypretty roughfor everyone, Im sure you are not alone in your nightmares." he offered her a light smile, yet his mind was curious. "What have you been dreaming about though? That would make you think such things?" Farsight nipped at her mane a bit offering that gentle smile of his, hoping maybe talking it out maybe she could get some restful sleep.
