Aerynn - Eminent - Post One
Morning light filtered through the curtains of Aerynn's many windows - which had been supplied by the Drizdra family, and featured a number of stained glass facets, creating a rainbow pool of light on the floor before him. The young Eminent shifted under the covers, and yawned. It was a warmish day, though when was it not warmish in Aodh? He stretched, and tossed back the red bedclothes with his teke. Standing, Aerynn turned to the wash stand beside his bed. He splashed fresh, cool water on his face and neck, and combed through his fluff of a mane, which was beginning to grow out a bit. Then, he glanced in the mirror, and decided that he looked all right.
Next, it was time to head for Suzan's quarters. While most Eminents wouldn't be caught dead heading for the slave quarters, Aerynn had no such qualms. Suzan might be a...purchased friend, but they were a friend nonetheless, and should be treated kindly. So the young champagne trotted down the halls, until he found his way to their room. Knocking lightly, he swished his mop of a tail, waiting to be let in. He might be the owner in this scenario, but he still had manners.

Suzan Aodh - Servile Slave Because Suzan was still young themselves, they didn't have to wake up as early as the rest of the slaves. This allowed them to sleep in for a while longer as their body and mind were still growing, though when they finally did wake, they rolled out of bed excitedly. The events that had taken place in the Sanctum were not forgotten, but since that dreadful night, Ignacio had Blessed them with powers to continue protecting their dearest friend and charge, Aerynn. So it was hard to stay afraid with that power in their grasp, even if sometimes they had to wear a bridle to keep it locked away. With their face cleaned and their mane combed (as best as they possibly could get), the young filly was finally able to start their day. Just as they finished making their very simple bed, a knock upon their door caught their attention. Feeling a mix of excitement and worry, the filly hurriedly opened the door; excitement won out as it was their favorite horse and not one of the older Masters."Good morning Aerynn!" Suzan beamed, "Did you have any dreams?" The child exited their room and pulled the door closed, prancing around their friend and Master with a grin on their face. "I had one about a Faerie! But it was a giant Faerie! As big as your Fathers!" |

Aerynn smiled as soon as he saw Suzan at the door. His tail was swishing back and forth, almost like a dog's tail wagging. But he pranced excitedly, letting it flag, a moment later, grinning at his friend. He was thrilled to see them, and wondered what they'd get into today. The mention of dreams made him cock his head to the side as he considered it. A Faerie as big as his fathers' were? Wow, that would be SOMETHING to see. And he said as much, telling Suzan, "That sounds like a really cool dream! I can't imagine a Faerie that big." He considered for a moment, then smiled, as his pygmy dragon caught up, and settled on his shoulder. "But if Pygmy dragons exist, and real Wyverns exist, maybe big Faeries do too," he giggled softly.
"But in answer, no I didn't have any good dreams," he sighed. "No nightmares, just boring dreams about lessons," he said, making a face at the thought of his work invading his nighttime escapades as well.

Suzan Aodh - Servile Slave Suzan nodded their head, wishing they could somehow project their dream and show Aerynn himself. "I couldn't until I saw the big one in my dream!" After seeing such tiny Faeries, one almost seemed to need to have a dream about a large version to think it were possible. The filly grinned when Spike fluttered over and settled like she usually did on Aerynn's shoulders. And then to her surprise, Aerynn said something that made her think giant Faeries were really possible. After all, Wyverns were real, they both were witness to Sola that fateful day in the Sanctum. And they were both witness to Spike right now. Pegasus had wings, so they were the closest thing to what giant Faeries would probably be, just different kinds of wings.
"Wow...maybe you're right..." The thought came and went as they listened to Aerynn's answer about his own dreams. "Better no dreams than bad dreams. Bad dreams are too scary and mean." They nodded their head matter-of-factly. "Lessons can be fun. Like swimming ones!" To punctuate their point, they fluttered the frill that encircled their body. "We could go swimming if you want!" |

The idea that large faeries might exist was exciting, but the child didn't spend too much time on the matter. For Suzan had mentioned swimming, their fin rippling at the thought. Aerynn grinned, his tail flipping up over his back at the very idea of getting into either the family pool...or better yet the waters that existed in the wild. There were plenty of streams running through his parents' property, so the option to get good and muddy was...tempting.
"Swimming!" He agreed, his head bobbing as he nodded along with the idea. Yes, swimming would be perfect. It was still hot, scorching almost, in Aodh this time of year, and despite his herd's love for the sun, all he wanted today was to cool down. So he cocked his head, considering where they should go.
"Should we stick to the pool?" He asked, sounding none too impressed with this idea. Surely, surely, they could go exploring to find a good stream, right?

Suzan Aodh - Servile Slave Suzan grinned at Aerynn bobbing his head in agreement with their suggestion to go swimming. They loved swimming, and it was a good excuse to ignore any other orders from the other slaves or their other Masters. Continuing to wiggle their fin, they considered Aerynn's question, hardly missing the unimpressed tone of his voice. Suzan didn't do a ton of exploring of the Stonebriar Manor grounds due to their position, but Aerynn just provided them both with the opportunity to do so.
"We could go outside if you want! We won't even leave the property! You said there are streams right? Can you lead us to them?" It shouldn't be a problem if they don't leave the grounds, they thought. After all, there's workers who keep the grass cut and the trees pruned. Even if they spent the whole day playing and swimming, someone would know where they were and could lead them home.
"Going out will be more fun than the pool, yeah? And we can see Ignacio's sun too!" |

Aerynn nodded, enthused by this idea. Getting out in the sun would be a wonderful treat, and they could always lie about, get nice and toasty, and then go for another dive in the ice-cold streams to wake themselves up. It would be very fun indeed. So when Suzan inquired if he could lead them, he puffed out his chest and nodded gravely. "Yeah, I know where lots of them are," he added. "Da sometimes takes me when he wants to get flowers for pressing in his books," he explained, with a swish of his tail.
"C'mon, this way," he said to Suzan, leading them towards the closest doors of the mansion that would take them outside. It was actually a small door in the side of the slave quarters that he found, pushing it open with his Teke, and stepping outside.
