SA| Sevada| War Forged| Weather witch (Click above to see Sevada's application!)Being a mare that loved every kind of weather and every time of the year, winter had it’s downside. There was so many strong and miserable memories connected with it. Sevada was born in the cold snow, when her mother disappeared. It was also the time for desperate thieves to attack the raiders, like her caring dad. Moreover, the environment and weather was harsh in Onea. Many horses died in the freezing weather, experienced snow avalanches from the mountain and everyone was a bit down. As a youngster, Sevada couldn’t understand why the winter had to be like this. Why did the God of Earth this to her people? Luckily, this naive youngster faded away as the black mare got older – you can say she got used to living in a tough land like Onea. The winter was soon over and it was a feeling that that couldn’t be described with words. Literally, everyone woke up. The forest was full of animals and the city of Onea, called Skeldr town was for once filled with laughter, talks and singing friends. From her glass house, at the bottom of Skeldr mountain, she could see the landscape around the mountain. Blooming forest, farming fields and the city even had it’s own glance. The heat from the sudden sun warmed up the glass house on the mountain. It was an amazing place to grow plants, even though it wasn’t being used for it. However, every year at the flower festival, Sevada decorated every corner, inside, onto and even of the roof with all kinds of flowers and plants. Even in this very moment, Sevada rushed down into the Skeldr town to buy some missing plants despite having decorated all day. ‘Closed due Flower Festival’ a sign on the plantshop said. With lifted eyebrows and a rather angry facial expression, Sevada read the sign repeatedly. There was so many thoughts. Now I can’t get the last flowers. I have to go down here tomorrow again. Why has a shop that sells flowers even closed on this day? More frustrated than ever before, the black mare’s stomach began to growl. She was tired of running down the mountain and had to get her hooves on some food. Despite being closing time and twilight colors flushing over the sky, the city was full of other citizens. Sevada was soon to be seen at a food wagon that sold everything from candy bars to mixed salad and with all the shards left, she decided to go with both. Word count: 421

Zestoka | Valkyrie
Zet was more ecstatic than she was on her birthday. She loved spring, being a spring baby and all she particularly enjoyed the cold mornings and the warm sunny afternoons. The weathers variance made her so happy. Green grass made her happier than a colt witnessing it's first snow fall. Winter was great but had nothing on spring in Onea where the forests came alive and the Festival of Flowers was held. And you bet your ass Zet was going this year.
Zet had arrived a day before to watch the huge carts of flowers arrive and garlands being hung. Her cold attitude would melt away for these next 10 days where all she would focus on is merry making and flowers. She had drank and danced most of her day away, even letting some mares and foals decorate her thick braided mane with colorful little flowers. Feeling a little more tipsy than usual Zet looked for some honey coated pine nuts to munch on before headed back to the inn she was staying at, since she lived high up on the mountain such a trek would have been quite annoying to make half drunk. She made her way to cart and noticed a silvery black mare with gorgeous eyes and a beautiful mane. Zet walked over to the mare and offered a half smile as she looked her over, finding her height cute. "Hello." Zet purred. "My name is Zestoka, How are you?" She asked stepping closer so their shoulder barley brushed against each other. Whether it was the alcohol or her talking she was definitely interested in the mare with the breath taking green eyes.

As the sun went down and left the city dark, the streets woke up. To celebrate the Flower Festival, many horses came to visit Onea. Of all the different faces, Sevada did only know few. As the black mare counted her shards, while slowly chewing on some lettuce leafs more and more horses entered the inn. Some went to get food as herself; others came in big groups to stand together at the tables in the other corner. A young couple walked singing straight to the bar, as if they didn’t have enough. Sevada looked around, thinking of she should leave this place, sitting here all alone. As she finished her meal, collected her crystal shards an unknown voice interrupted. A pair of sharp green eyes looked right, but could only find other eyes if looking up. It was a huge black mare standing in front of her. Personal space didn’t exist any longer, as this mare nearly touched her. Sevada could feel her heartbeat starting to go faster, as she didn’t know what to do.
The unicorn, with a harsh face that must have been through a lot, started to speak with a funny accent. It was kind of sweet, to see such a tough looking person speaking so differently. Sevada’s facial expression changed quickly from suddenly fear to a relaxed smile. “My name is Sevada, glad to meet you.” She tossed an annoying hair away from her eyes. She didn’t really know if she should continue to speak, as she didn’t answered the question. Why should she tell a completely stranger how she was doing? How did that ever become relevant to anyone beside friends and family? Sevada’s green eyes looked into the unicorn’s blue. “Um...I’m very fine!” She did an awkward smile and stepped a little back. “Enjoying the flower Festival…What about you?”. The large mare had a strange attitude going on, her breath revealed that she might had been drinking.

"Sevada." Zet repeated, her Russian accent changing the S into a strong Z and over extending the D, she couldn't help it. "What a beautiful name." She said and smiled softly at the little mare she was quickly growing interested in. With a small tilt of her head the bells attached to the chain connected to her nose and horn gently played a quick melody. "That is good to hear!" She said when Sevada said she was fine, "I am too, its the only time I can come and be with others without fear.." She mumbled loosing herself for a moment in the end, slipping into a sudden drunken haze then lightly shook her head, jingling the quiet bells, and turned her attention back to Sevada clearing her mind.
"Would you mind going on a walk with me?" She asked her denim eyes maintained contact with Sevada's chartreuse colored eyes. "I noticed a flower crown stand on the other side of the village and don't wish to go alone. Oh!" She exclaimed suddenly and looked around the filled inn, Muri (her drinking buddy) was just there but had disappeared. "Yes it seems it really would be just you and I if you'd like to accompany me?" She asked hoping the mare would agree and walk with her.

Sevada was staring at the rather odd-looking mare in front of her. She almost forgot the other horses around her and the terrible noise from the drunk pair. The large mare had a funny accent that Sevada couldn’t seem to place from anywhere. Maybe she was from the Aodh herd? Her facial jewels could fit well into there as well. In addition, when the mare talked about being with others without fear. Sevada had so many questions, but didn’t seem to interrupt the unicorn.
Of all sudden the unicorn asked Sevada to go with her and an instant voice in her head, yelled NO. Sevada wasn’t the type to go around, being seduced by everyone. Especially not persons who have been drinking. Despite the alarming signals, that muted Sevada, Zestoka continued. The naïve child, from Sevada’s past woke up again. To see the flower crown and enjoy the festival in company seemed like a great idea. “Of course you don’t have to go alone!” Sevada raised her head and smiled. “I’ll go with you – if you can show me the way.” She laughed, with a hidden strange feeling underneath her breath. You could tell the little black mare that she was not too fond of this situation, but curiosity hadn’t killed this kitten yet.

Zet smiled at her excitedly and said "of course I will." then laughed softly. The large draft mare gracefully turned on her haunches to head out of the cozy inn and back into the night. She took a few steps foreword creating a rhythmic sound with her silver covered hooves on the wooden floors then waited for Sevada. As they walked towards the door Zet slowed her pace down so the smaller mare wouldn't have to worry about keeping up with her extended strides.
As they exited the inn Zet narrowly avoided a drunken horse who swayed with every step that was, hopefully, on their way back to their room. Her turned her gaze to look at the beautifully light streets that cast warm glows contrasting with the dark starlight night skies. Then her attention moved to the street where she watched as a few horses danced in the cobble stone street to a band that played a festive song that could make even the angriest of horses jump up and dance. Zet then looked down at the small black mare and asked "What position do you hold in the herd?" Curiously, she had never seen Sevada in the Valkyrie training sessions, "I am a Valkyrie in the herd." She added proudly, even puffing her chest out a little more.

The black mare followed Zestoka out of the inn. Despite being close to accident when a drunken horse lost his mind, Sevada liked Zet’s company. She was much larger than she was and could almost be used as a shield. The giant mare even had to walk slower, with Sevada’s small footsteps. She smiled at the thought.
As then went outside, all sight of daylight was now gone. Another day passed, but the night was full of life. Normally the streets would have been empty at this time, but since the flower festival started and the temperature increased, horses were blooming from everywhere like flowers. Talking about flowers, Sevada had forgotten all about her decorations at home. She could always go to the forest and pick up the flowers by herself, even though it was hard work. She looked up upon Zet as they walked, maybe she would like to join? She could feel her partial white face starting to blush. Suddenly the awkward silence was interrupted and the subject changed to another. Zestoka shared that she was a Valkyrie. Sevada had yet not heard much about these as she never got to any of the training sessions. Her father Samedi, did simply now allow his precious daughter to get hurt or get into any business that reminded him of the raiders. However, it was always very exciting to sneak out and see the training with her friends, when they were small. Zestoka acted very proud of her position – something Sevada normally hated. With a smile, she tried her best to steal the shine. “Well I’m a Weather Witch.” She closed her eyes, lifted her head and took some quickly steps to get in front of her. “I report to the War Lord whenever she needs and live on the mountain.” She stopped her fast-walking steps and opened her eyes to see Zet’s expression with a quirky smile.

Zestoka turned her attention to the couples' pathway, thought kept one ear locked in on Sevada as she waited for a reply from the small mare, the other small ear pointed foreword along with her eyes, scanning the ground, occasionally glancing back to Sevada's own eyes. She then noticed their shadows on the wall, it was hilarious how different in size they were, their shadows combined showing Zets larger frame swallowing her shadow whole, a Sevada's pair of legs came from the shadows barrel making a six legged horse. Hearing Sevada being to give her reply Zet tore her eyes off the cobble stone road and onto the beautiful black mare. She listened intently, ignoring the laughter and music of the background. 'A weather witch?' Zet thought to herself, she hadn't had the chance to meet one till now. A small smirk tugged at her lips as she then watched Sevada prance ahead and cut the larger mare off. Zet rather enjoyed the sparkle in Zevada's eyes and the way her voice rose on octave or two from pride. Facing the Sevada now Zet's large head tipped to the side causing the bells to softly twinkle in reply. The smirk slowly turned into something softer, a pleasant smile now.
"My, my. I must be in the presence of a truly beautiul master then." Zet teased lightly about Sevada's position, and also slipping in a comment, before preforming a small bow. "You live on the mountain full time too?" She asked, blue eyes twinkling. Then Zet took a two large steps till she was closer to Sevada, "So Miss Sevada, what hobbies does the Witch of Weather take part of?" She asked curiously. Letting her shoulder brush Sevada's as she continued walking slowly so Sae could catch up.
