She said, "here's your one chance, Fancy, don't let me down.
Here's your own chance, Fancy, don't let me down."
It was brilliant.
This new idea could make everything possible! No more hiding their relationship from the world, from the Eminents that could damn them. No more pretending to have nothing between them in public. No more fear that they would be discovered, and that they would be forever parted.
No more!
Mind racing with possibilities, he penned a swift letter to Alyxx and sent it off, asking for his presence at the very first opportunity. He glanced around his little flat, finding more paper and ink to write down the thoughts flying about in his head. He would need to have a logical argument in order to win the Eminent over, so he needed to arrange his thoughts right away.
His shrewd business mind went to work. He estimated costs, thought of potential recruits, building plans and potential locations. Potential names for this business venture, styles of interior design, catchy slogans. When he filled up one paper, he would pin it to a board, setting it up by order of theme. He thought of Artisans to create artwork, Architects who could design the building, potential backers to mold this idea into something new, something fantastic.
When he began to run out of ideas, he paced, trying to think of more. He noticed the state of the flat- pillows overturned, spreadsheets strewn across the floor, ink spilled in a few places. He turned his attention to cleaning- he couldn't stand to have his home so messy, even if he was in the middle of a breakthrough.
He had just finished tidying up, placing his hair back into a neat plait along the side of his head, when he heard hooves coming up the stairs, and a knock at the door. Ensuring he looked perfect, he strode to the door, lightness in every step.
