Hajime:
Wandering the garden under Hireath's twin moons had become an almost daily occurrence for Hajime as she tried to adjust to life on the surface. It was terrifying to be out in the open like that, but there was also a strange beauty in it all, and walking among the garden's flowers in the pale silver moonlight gave the High King a sense of peace amidst the chaos of their daily life. With everything that had happened, the herd was on edge, and Haji couldn't blame them. She was as well - though it wasn't something she could afford to show. Instead, she put on the mask, hiding her frustrations and insecurities from all but those closest to her. Even then, she was hesitant to share the true depth of her feelings. She was the High King of Breim, and in a time when the herd had nothing but questions, she couldn't appear insecure or indecisive. To make matters worse, with Isamu's arrival, whispers of those wanting the older, more experienced king back on the throne taunted Haji from the shadows, undermining the confidence and independence she'd found since her father's disappearance. It wasn't that she wasn't glad he was safe, but growing up in his shadow with rules and regulations as her constant companion - she wasn't thrilled with the idea of losing the crown she'd sacrificed so much for already. Sighing softly, she pushed the thoughts aside for a moment to just relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the world around her.
