Uriah
There was a rare lull in the afternoon, between meetings, and work - enough time to justify the scarce chance for them to get out of their office for something other than travelling home. It felt so strange to see the streets during the day; so much more now that there wasnow sunlight on their backs. Uriah still wasn’t used to that shift - who would be, after a lifetime in the dark?
They’d stopped in a small place for lunch, but Uriah didn’t linger long, especially with their Devil bird, Jasmine, was on their shoulders, pulling at their ear and making a sight once she grew bored. And once back on the streets, a horse who couldn’t fathom the idea of free time, was lost without something to do, so they began to wander aimlessly through the streets.
But if Jasmine being mildly annoying in a shop was a scene, when she realized Uriah was subconsciously walking back to the office, her fit would be closer to a riot. Between being pecked and a fury of flapping wings, it took a few moments for Uriah to realize their familiar’s sudden fit, only for Uriah to break out into strangler laughter between being suffocated. There was some muttering and sorries spoken to a bird, as if they owed it upon them, her annoyed glance too clear. Uriah turned around, as if being scolded to do something, which led them to walking in a direction they barely touched before, eyes scanning everything around them, almost looking like a tourist...or perhaps lost.

With a ruffle of papers here and the tapping if wood there Sariel was sure she had everything with her as she ventured back home. The mares saddle bags were filled to the brim with papers, parchment and other artsy supplies, a charcoal pen even bung from her lips as she scrawled on an unrolked parchment she held infront of her. Her teke gripped the paper softly as she strode forward, a second pen scribbling up a storm where the one in her mouth could not, surely she had memorized the stars in that book. "...Was it Can-is Major... or was is Canis-Minor?..." she hummed to herself, her hoofsteps following the same route home from the markets they always did. Silly filly she was, no matter how many scrolls or how much parchment she bought she always seemed to run out quickly, it was probably for the best, who knows how many blank books she could have gone through As she walked she lifted her dress over a small wet crack in the pavement, long tail and ruffles of fabric gripped up in her teke as she passed it. It had become a ritual of hers that sane way home, she almost forgot about it too as an incessant fluttering and squaring filled her ears. She peered up over the top of her paper and cocked her head to the side, amethyst eyes searching for the Source and- there!. She was quick to pinpoint the source, she was almost ready to throw caution to the wind and approach when she realised she had been staring. Staring for the longest time without a word, "Cheese and Crackers..." she huffed quietly to herself, awkwardly shuffling over to say hello

Uriah
Jasmine seemed rightly please, not to mention proud, that she had swayed Uriah to actually take a break. Fluffed up feathers, head held high, Uriah had to sigh under breath at the bird; sometimes she acted like she owned them instead of the opposite ringing true. But she was at least easy to please, and they had a monumental soft spot for their familiar that they wouldn’t change a thing.
Jasmine seemed suddenly intrigued by something, ruffling her feathers and eyes wide. Following her gaze, it wasn’t hard to spot the elegant horse in the crowd, approaching them. An dark coat scatted in adornment of stars that would give the night skies a run for their money.
They swore they heard something about crackers between them, a frown passing over their face, but quickly forgotten with that confusion and thought as she got closer. Instead, Uriah dipped their head and offered a distant, yet pleasant smile as they approached, ”hello?” they spoke, almost hesitantly. Tilting their head, they gave them another look over - closer, everything about them really stood out. Next to them, Uriah was starting to feel like their love of stars paled in comparison. ”What brings you here?” they asked, eyes wide, now fills with curiosity, although not clear why.

Sariel peered at the cautious bird a moment as she approached, watching it curiously before she returned a warm smile to the one that was offered. Now she had made contact what was she supposed to do?, she thought hard, thoughts muddied before she had her ah ha moment. "Hello yes! Sorry!" she replied quickly, dipping her head respectfully in return. Her necklaces jingled as she bobbed her head excitedly, crinkling her parchment slightly against her chest as she answered, "Oh! Me? Working. Rightfully so though, I honestly can't remember which constellation I read about and it's putting my head into a spin". Her memory wasn't always in the best place, mainly from her constant lack of sleep, but she had only read about it just a few days ago and it really was already giving her troubles "Its just the daftest thing really, I've gotten all my new supplies and was scribbling it up as I went home, but here I am babbling it out. I have the hard cover boom at home i can check, but I really wish I could just remember", the mare chuckled lightly at herself seemingly out of nowhere, honestly she could go on and on she was sure. She hummed in thought, more words pouring from her mouth, "Yes of course my apologies! Where are my manors?, Sariel at your service. It's a pleasure to meet you!", she nodded, necklaces twinkling once again with her movements, "I am Charmed to meet you"

Uriah
Uriah stares patiently, offering a slow tilt of their head as they waited for her to speak. The only movement from them was of their bird, who shifted her position and ruffled her feathers to get a better look at the sparkling horse.
Uriah pulled back their head as Sariel spoke, blinking back the surprise from her enthusiasm that seemed to burst outsell at once. And before they even got a chance at a breath, it seemed, this horse was rambling on, unleashing the power of her thoughts upon inspecting Uriah.
They gave a rightful laugh after the first lull in the conversation, once their surprise was digested enough to swallow. A grin now on their face; it was, needless to say, not a surprise that this horse admired stars. ”What constellation?” they asked, with sudden enthusiasm to their posture. Not a moment later, Uriah was sliding the aligned book over their head and flipping through a few pages, until they stopped and one - which was bookmarked. They leaned over to show a page, beautiful drawn, charting out the stars in astrological fashion. A closer look would reveal the gold symbols of constellations and names against the dark page and small, tiny blurbs written next to the artistry, too small to read from afar. ”I have them all catalogued,” they grinned.
They pulled back, just a bit, in the introduction, to let them dip their head. There was some tenseness back in their posture during this bit, build back up after a brief moment of letting loose. ”It’s nice to meet you, Sariel, I’m Uriah.” They let a small smile, relaxing a bit, ”You as well,” they gave another soft laugh.

The mares eyes practically gleaned with excitement as it went from her babbling to the most wonderful topic of constellations, one of the most enthralling topics there was to deal in, even more so when Uriah brought out a book. This book was just like the one she had at home yet it was more intricate and much more detailed, well taken after too. If she was any less mature she would have easily squeed with excitement, "Oh my! she exclaimed, tucking her pens up behind her ears "Why yes! I can't remember completely off the top of my head for sure but it was either Can-is Major or Canis-Minor that I was thinking of. I was going to go home and check but ah! Here you are with the book right here!"As she spoke she was quick to flash her scribbled drawing, a bunch of lines and different sizes dots as well as some other scribbled things here and there. "You see this one, I do love them by gosh but sometimes I'm so scatter brained that I truly get myself all mixed up sometimes. I've been told that I would lose my head if it wasn't screwed on!" she laughed at this, curls bouncing as she did. She was normally pretty good at remembering all this stars, moons and all but some just slipped her mind to the point she had to re-read about them to remember, it was so silly but she enjoyed it never the less

Uriah
Uriah grinned noticeably when they saw Sariel’s reaction to seeing the book. While it was based off of common illustration, and many charts could be seen nearly identical, it was nearly impossible and costly to find them of great detail like this. They may have splurged and fulfilled some whims when they were promoted to Arisen. But there was plenty more money where that came from.
They nodded along with what Sariel spoke of, raising a brow. They turned the book a bit more towards themself and scanned over the page, giving a glance at the constellations she was naming. ”I am a soul who can’t be far from the stars, weather by illustration or underneath them, trust me to hold the answers you seek,” Uriah winked at Sariel, grinning. They leaned forward, giving a glance at the paper she’d scribbled down. A moment later, after another glance at their own book, they nodded, ”Canis Minor. Far simpler than it’s sibling, but their names do not help ease confusion,” they laughed, ”when I was first learning to chart stars, Ursa Major and Minor were the bane of my existence. For some reason, I couldn’t remember which was which - even if it should have been obvious.”
Their grin reached their eyes, laughing, ”don’t fret, I can confirm your head is still currently still screwed on. You’re safe, for now.” Uriah gave a dramatic sigh, ”these stars, I swear, they only wish to play tricks on us.” As they finished, they closed the book and swung it back over their head. Their eyes seemed bright and interesting - a quick friend could be made of her, they were certain. ”There’s a shop nearby, would you perhaps like to sit down and grab some tea? My treat - I swear on my hooves that their stuff is Devine.”

Ahh so it was Canis Minor! Such a silly thing to forget at such a silly time, it was lucky she happened upon this other fellow lover of the stars. "By Argus' heart thankyou! I swear they try purposely to confuse and and all who try to study them. I sometimes go cross eyed through my telescope trying to confirm which is which... I'm glad I'm not the only one whom struggles sometimes" she chuckled lightly as her companion did, a pair of nerds just enjoying a lovely chat about burning balls of gas. "Oh yes! The Ursa Major and Minor got me as well when I first started, all the similar names must be some form of trick. But either way it makes for some fun interesting times, between all my books and charts I do remember them eventually"Sariel paused a moment and used her teke to check If her head was indeed there, once she was sure she burst out into laughter, pushing away curls from her face as they fell. She didn't know why but the gesture seemed to bring a strange glee to her belly, the laughter slowed and surprise spread across her face. Tea? She hadn't been asked for tea by anyone except Fel... "Tea? Oh! Oh I yes of course. I'd love that!" she replied with a bright smile. "If they are as good as you say I must visit, I do hope they have some delicious pastries. I do rather love a pastry when in company! But please allow me to treat, it's the least I could do for your help".

Uriah
Uriah smiled and dipped their head, ”it isn’t the worry in the slightest. I know how vexing it can be to loose your thoughts and tongue.” They chuckled softly, ”plus, as a connoisseur of the stars, I won’t complain for any reason given to me to pull open a book and discuss them. Even if only for a minute.” Their disposition was jolly again. As if simply the talk of the stars brought them a rare sense of comfort and joy - one may even notice how their posture changed. As if a weight was temporarily lifted from their back. ”I can guess you share my interest?” There was, of course, a hint of teasing in their tone. But also genuine curiosity. Sariel’s elegant looks could be nothing but aesthetics, perhaps. It was talk of the stars that more or less confirmed Uriah’s suspicions.
”Truly, it can be so confusing to novices. There are countless animals around, and yet the astrologists decided to use the same animals for more than one set of stars. Perhaps some poor planning on their part, in my own honesty.” Their light tone ended in a laugh as they watched Sariel. They were such a strange character, already. It was, easily said, time in their company, would be interesting.
”Fantastic” they beamed, taking a few steps, ”this way, just around the corner on Main Street. It’s a tiny little corner shop, but so cozy - and the owners are darlings.” they smiled. But there was half a pause, Uriah shaking their head, ”oh no, I insist! I am the one inviting you after all. And Tea and pastries is the least I could do. Anyway, I think my Familiar, Jasmine, would throw a fit if I tried to go back to work, any time soon. She already tried once, so truly, it’s you doing me a favour,” they laughed.

Sariel laughed, "By the stars! I lose my thoughts and tongue more then you could possibly imagine. Truly being a connoisseur of stars like you has me working near constantly... give little time for relaxation and rest. Probably why I lose thoughts ever so easily" she replied, gesturing for her companion to lead the way. "Oh yes yes! My love of stars, galaxies and nebulae is unparalleled. You must come see my observatory some day, I've got my telescope pointed towards a particularly interesting milky way I've been mapping, so many stars I actually ran out of parchment... hence my current state" she stated, gesturing toward she's bursting saddle bags Her attire wasn't just for show, everything she did and owned had something to do with stars, everything consisted of them including alot of her furniture too. "Yes, I wouldn't say I'm an expert per say but I'm no noob and yet here I am still kafuddled about the similar names of smthings. I do feel they did it on purpose to make the craft harder. It was poor planning or a lack of attention I beleive". Sariel offered the small bird atop her companion a smile, pulling a small bell shaped cookie from her bags. She used her teke to offer up the snack whilst also giving a soft and gentle scratch to the precious devil bird "Oh you are too kind! I'd love to join you and your feathery companion for tea. Next time it's my treat then and I will not take not for an answer! It's only fair. Besides Jasmine sounds like she needs a lovely muffin for her troubles, such a darling little companion. I'd love a familiar myself but I fear I wouldn't have the time for own... anyway please, do lead the way, tea awaits us!" yet another smile pulled at her lips as she stuffed her parchment away, pulling down her pair of pens and showing them in her bags as well. It was an unexpected meeting but she was glad she had a reason to be out, surely her work could wait for a little while... She was starting to like her new companions company, their mutual love of stars seemed to help a fair bit

Uriah
Uriah looked over, a smile on their lips, sighing to themselves as they listened to Sariel talk. There was a lot in her words they could relate to, ”rest assured, I can at least, with my own experience, reassure you that you can get used to sleep depreciation and loosing your thoughts with enough time.” They paused, blinked, and flicked their tail, ”or perhaps that’s simply my biased, hopeful opinion. If not, I’ll have to redo a lifetime’s worth of work. I don’t think that will help the lack of sleep or my productivity though.”
”An observatory you say?” once again, perked up, almost like a dog being offered a treat. They’d of course been to observatories before; it would be a crime any other way. But to live in one? That gave them some curious idea that would make their mother’s ghost hit them with a newspaper and chime on about the perfection her house if spoken aloud. ”That would be simply devine, I’d love to. I’d be so curious to see your work.”
Uriah let out a healthy laugh at Sariel’s choice or words, and how she furthered their own point. There was a gleam in their eyes. ”For being so smart, Astrologists truly lacked some foresight, it seems. Or they wanted to confuse the novices just for fun.” It took Uriah a moment to realize what Sariel was doing - and by that time, Jasmine was hoping curiously up their neck, towards the snack. Hesitantly, with fluffed you feathers, they grabbed the treat offered to them. Uriah sighed at their bird and turned back to their conversation.
”Don’t be fooled, Jasmine may look charming, but she has a mean streak,” Uriah grinned and had to pull away their head to keep their bird from pulling at their ears. ”But I understand. She never leaves my side - the only true reason I can justify any kind of familiar between piles of work.” Uriah dipped their head, leading the way.
It took a few turns, to swerve around a horse or two - one who noticeably stopped to stare. Uriah seem to seem phased. And then through a door, they were in a small tea shop; big enough to be comfortable and fit a few horses in it, but far from enough space to be anything but cozy. Uriah walked up to the counter, dipped their head to the register, said a friendly hello to the horse behind it, before turning behind to look at Sariel, ”what would you like? Help yourself to the fullest; I do not mind.”

Sariel nodded along, with enough time she was sure the sleep deprivation would ease and she would get used to it but right now she worked too hard to notice when she was too tired to continue. "Oh I have more then enough productivity dispite my inevitable lack of sleep. Some say that I work too hard to avoid it... with time and a better routine I do hope I'll get used to it, though having a night time job does take it's toll" she smiled even though something tugged at her, saying it out loud wasn't something she normally did. But she loved the work she did and the rewards that came with it, she couldn't completely complain about it. Sariel nodded in confirmation, "I do, it's quite the sight even though it's further up to get the best views of the sky I don't mind. It's art studio mixed with home, observatory and other things... " She coughed and cleared her throat, chuckling awkwardly, "Its a mess mind you but once I clean it up If be hapoy to send you a letter of invitation. I'd love to show someone my work, star charts and maps are much more fun with someone to share them with"The dark mare found herself nodding along, completely agreeing that yes. Astrologist more then likely lacked the foresight or wanted to utterly confuse the beginners to look better, "In light of that they may or may not have had a good reason. Possibly". Sariel curious watched the bird take the treat, grinning ear to ear as the curious feathered beast watched her from the top of their companions head. "Oh hush now I'm sure she's rightly charming. Those pretty feathers must catch all the attention"Sariel quietly appreciated the talk she was getting from her new, dare she say friend. Working at night sometimes was lonely, even with Fel there, speaking with someone was nice for a change. "Oh! Thankyou that's so kind" she replied, stepping up to Uriah's side to glance at the pastries. They all looked so mouth wateringly tasty, she had to resist the urge to drool all over the counter, "Perhaps A muffin and pot of tea? I'm sure we could share a pot. There's plenty we could talk about over a pot!"

Uriah
Uriah’s grin turned into a laugh, followed by a nod of agreement. ”I am not surprised. I’ve also been told I might as well marry my work. I won’t say I haven’t thought against it. Perhaps it would be kinder to me if I did.” They smiled and gave a rowdy flick of their tail. ”I do hope you do find some balance though. It is nice to get out, every once and awhile.”
Uriah perked up, ears forward; a generous amount of intrigue in their posture. It did not take long to get their interest rolling, eyes filled with a particular shine. The more they listened, the more sure they were that their mother would return from the grave to yell at them. ”That sounds marvellous!” they laughed, ”the thought never crossed my mind to have an observatory built into a house. How intriguing, perhaps one day I will have to take inspiration and do some renovations.” They blinked and dipped their head, ”I would adore an invitation.”
”Possibly,” Uriah replied with a grin. And as if Jasmine knew she was being talked about, she preened her feathers. Uriah sighed, ”I fear you have fallen for her trap. Now that you are a victim, their is no escape.” Uriah gave an even more dramatic sigh, ”and I was so hopeful, too.”
Uriah nodded at the order, repeating back to the server, also adding a small piece of cake for themself. After a quick exchange of shards, Uriah turned to Sariel, gesturing to the corner before walking over, ”take a seat, they are so very kind and bring it out once orders are assembled,” they let out a long sigh, once given a moment of relaxing. ”Thank you, again for accompanying me. I’ve been given more free time and I wasn’t sure what to do with it, I was almost tempted to turn back to work simply out of habit. Jasmine decided against that.” Their eyes lit up, ”may I ask what you do for a living? I got hints - but it sounds curious. I’d rather not assume.”

Sariel couldn't help but laugh along with them, the thought of marrying ones work seemed too good to be true. "If it was indeed possible or even legal I'm sure I would have done it many moons ago. Though marrying ones work would make things alot easier, the divorce would be messy though if it ever came to that" as she laughed she snorted a little, causing her to laugh just a little bit more before it started to ease. "I implore you though... the legal fees would be cheap to say the very least"The mare flicked her ears and eyed off her companion, smile yet again touting softly at her lips, "Then consider yourself wholly invited! Remind me to off you my address when we part away later. I'd love to show you observatory m, really, I don't get many visitors. And yes Jasmine, you may come too if you behave" she dipped her head to the devil bird in a small gesture of respect, "Perhaps then the pair of you could find ideas to build you own. If you need help I'd be more then happy to assist, I do know the builder who helped build it, I could refer you if you'd like? It might cost extra shards but the craftsmanship is completely worth it!"Sariel chuckled as they took their seats, placing her bulging saddle bags under the table and out of the way. True she had been sucked in by the dark birds obvious charm but she was sure she hadn't been completely sucked in. "This place is utterly charming, that kind of service I have to say may make this a must for me. I may visit here more regularly". She nodded slowly, "Trust me I haven't fallen quite deep enough for Jasmine's charm just yet. I may be immune". The dark mare licked her lips as shortly after their order arrived, placed on the table with afew short words here and there, "Oh it's no trouble at all! I'd be at home working if you hadnt invited me. Seems we have that in common... work always comes first it seems"She lifted the pit as she spoke, flipping the tea cups up the right way as she poured the both of then a cup each. Once the tea was poured she offered the cream and sugar up to Uriah first with a smile, "My Living? My work?. Oh! I paint star maps and charts to sell, all of them completely accurate with the help of my telescope. Most of them a bought for decoration... but I've had afew sailors and travelers buy them also. It's a start for sure" she nodded excitedly, talking about her work was almost as good as doing it, "What about you?, what kind of work do you do?" She finally asked taking a sip of her tea

Uriah
Uriah grinned and shook their head, sighing. ”Truly a shame. Although, perhaps medical professionals would not call it the most healthy course of actions. But if I already spend so much time with it, why not?” They rose an eyebrow, ”truly a shame, I must say. Least then, no one would ask when I’m getting married.”
Uriah dipped their head, eyes soft, but still full of energy and joy, a hearty smile on their lips. ”Thank you, I’ll be sure to remind you. I’m so curious, a personal observatory is too fascinating not to see for yourself. Truly a stunning idea, I say.” The devil bird seemed to recognize her name, tilting her head and flapping her wings once. Whatever that meant. Uriah laughed, ”perhaps! I’ll have to hold out grand ideas and letting myself get too carried away until I see yours! But it sounds adoring. If I do end up building one, your help would be more than appreciated.” They blinked, as if surprised by the idea, ”oh, the price is never a worry.”
Uriah watched Sariel settling in. Uriah nodded after she settled and spoke. ”It truly is! There’s a reason I come here when it suits.” Uriah laughed a second time. ”We’ll see about that.” They gave a look at their bird, now perched on the edge of the table and shook their head.
It didn’t take long for the order to be brought out, they offered a thank you to the server. Sariel was the one to move the tea around and pour it, nodding in thanks. Themself, they were sure to move the pastries to each person, while listening to Sariel and her work.
”I thought it was something like that! How utterly fascinating. I’ve probably wandered around and seen your work without even thinking about it, haven’t I?” They smiled softly at the idea, ”that’s truly marvellous. I would love to see your work, given the chance. I truly respect why you do.” The stars, after all, were one of their many passion, although perhaps, one of their bigger ones. No surprise, her too. To meet someone who made a living charting them? Fascinating.
Uriah nearly chocked mid sip when the question was turned back on them. Refreshing their breath, they hastily set down the cup, raising ab eyebrow. Perhaps they were all to used to everyone just knowing who they were, they weren’t expecting such a question. It took a moment, them awkwardly looking away, scratching their head with their teke. ”For most of my life, I’ve held the title of Alchemist.” They looked at her with an lopsided, awkward smile and shrugged. ”These days, you might know me as Arisen Uriah.”

Sariel had honestly been enjoying herself, the chatter about stars and work, the possibility of helping another build an observatory, everything had been going so so well up until that last little bit where her world came crashing down dispite all the things she wanted to reply to. The dark mare had been nodding along, listening quite intently to her companions words that she was even planning a fair response to... as she sipped her tea the introduction was made and she involuntarily inhaled, choking on the hot liquid so badly it sprayed across the table and dripped from her nose, the best and worst kind of reaction anyone in her position could have had The embarrassment she felt was nothing compared to the pain and shock, tears brimmed in her eyes as she coughed trying to very hard to so be able to breath again. All the while she was thinking horrible things, why did everything have to end so poorly... She was already such a clutz and now she didn't even recognize on of the leaders of her own herd! She silently cursed at herself as she tried to suck in a breath, teke scrambling for a napkin in hopes to clean herself up. The customers around them stared worriedly as their server hurried over, whispering hushed words of worry as Sariel regained herself. She nodded in reply that she was indeed okay, the only thing she could to as she wiped the went from her nose and eyes, "Cheese and Crackers..." she wheezed, voice hoarse as she took a small sip of her tea, "..I-I am so sorry-sorry. I didn't recognise you and... oh for Argus sake. I've made such a mess... this is embarrassing...", slowly she regained herself, patting down her face and the table in an attempt to clean up the mess she had made

Uriah
Uriah had expected some kind of reaction. Perhaps a still, a “really?” or something of the sort. They’d met a few horses who didn’t know who they were after an introduction - even if it was rare. Most reactions were comical, one or two near offensive. They had been expecting something of the first with Sariel, considering who they were.
Instead, Uriah was left staring wide eye, a few drops of tea dripping down their face. Unexpected to say the least.
They, too, were left in a moment of shock, this time from her. But after the surprise passed over them, Uriah was quick to get to their feet. Thankfully she seemed to be ok, breathing and nodding, which made Uriah sigh in relief. After a brief moment of concern died, they were grabbing some napkins, helping, to clean up the mess left around them.
It was half way through cleaning up the mess, where everything truly hit them. When they were sure Sariel was ok, and a few horses had turned their heads away, the server shooed away, where Uriah broke out into a laugh. Something loud enough to silence the room again - though Uriah didn’t mind that part. It took a few moments for it to die down, leaving the Arisen to wipe some tears from their eyes.
”It’s alright, just because I’m an Arisen doesn’t mean I’m owed being recognized by everyone.” they broke out into a small chuckle, even hiccuping. Their smile was lopsided, but good nature. ”You’re alright though, yes?” They were certain they probably were, but still. ”That’s the first time someone’s reacted like that,” they remarked rather dryly, ”but I do think getting a full pot of tea was probably a good idea, considering half of it ended up on the table.” There was mirth in their eyes.

Once the coughing cleared all she could do was smile awkwardly, her companions laugh a welcome relief after the worry that had previously flashed across their face. Now with the most embarrassing moment of her life out of the way and the ice unnaturally broken she was able to bring herself to chuckle lightly, if a bit awkwardly as she cleaned up the rest of tea and placed the soiled napkins off to the side. "I know who you are, I know of you" she responded quietly, "I just spend too much time with my work to actually know what you look like... I know you learned under a driven at a young age. Talented and confident, rising up through as an Alchemist and eventually Arisen" she trailed off as her face twisted into a small but awkward smile, she had read enough to know the stories of most of their leaders, this was a rare treat indeed She nodded slowly at the concern however, smile growing warmer by the minute, "Physically yes I am well thankyou, this may be the most embarrassing thing to even happen but it doesn't change anything. You are still just a lovely friend whom invited me for tea... lucky we had a full pot or I beleive I would be down in shards" she chuckled at that, using her teke to fill both their cups as she spoke. Leader or not they were just like everyone else, normal everyday citizens dispite the rank they held

Uriah
Uriah took a brief moment to help her gather up the stray, soiled napkins, and take a few steps to the nearest bin, so that they didn’t have to deal with those later. Once they came back, Sariel seemed to have a better grip on herself; well at least, her composure. Still? Obviously surprised, but no longer choking or heaving for breath was a better state than any.
Uriah nodded as she briefly recounted their life story in a few sentences. There was a lot more, to fill in the gaps. But that wasn’t really quite as known - as they were thankful in. ”It does seem as if most know of me,” they grinned and let out a long sigh, ”which I can’t complain about.” They has been an Alchemist for most of their life, after all. Even if they weren’t an Arisen now, that kind of title still followed many. Their family name also had quite a reputation too, thanks to their parents. ”I spend a lot of time at work as well, I can’t blame you for that one,” they chuckled, ”but you about summarized it all.” Even if it had only been so little time ago, the days of their Alchemist title felt like ages. They, oddly enough, never really missed that job. They were someone of the sciences, they would always tinker at home, but they didn’t miss it as much as they thought they might have, one day.
Uriah let out another laugh, shaking their head, ”if that’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done, count yourself lucky.” They chucked again and sighed, ”I promise I didn’t intend to surprise you as such. I expect to be known by you - perhaps a rash assumption on my part. But as you said, treat me no different as you would before. That’s how I prefer it.” At least when it came to horses like Sariel; where their friendship could be of pure mutual interests in topic. And not for business, as so many others were for their rank.

The mare smiled sheepishly, she was sure there was more to say about Uriah's history but it didn't seem to feel right just blurting out alot of personal things about someone without never truly knowing then we'll enough. "I apologize if I stepped out of line. I've just done alot of reading on history and culture that I've unintentionally learnt alot about you and the others whom lead us" she replied quietly, sipping at her tea as her ears fell back. A pang of guilt pulled at her heart a moment, trying her best not to show she knew too much, "...obviously I don't know everything. There's more substance to one then just whatever a history book has to tell. If I had to read mine, it would be short" She dipped her head and nodded slowly, completely accepted that the pair of then were easily the most work obsessed star nerds there ever were, she wasn't sure it it was a good thing or not. "Your history isn't what makes the impression, it was you as a single soul... and me as a clutz" she laughed as she took a bit of her pastry, savoring the sweetness as it coated her tongue, she would have to buy more to eat at home that she was sure of She chuckled lightly as Uriah did, nodding as her nose wrinkled, "The most embarrassing thing I've had done in public... I beleive passing out covered in paint has to be one of the top ten atleast" a snort filled her nose which made her laugh a little bit more, necklaces jingling as she jiggled with laughter. "Its alright I promise, It was just sudden as I want expecting to speak with someone of your position. That's not important though, tea with a friend is". She held out her teacup, offering up the small porcelain object for a soft clink of friendship, it was nice to have some company for a change, between work and the store there wasn't always someone to talk to

Uriah
Uriah raises and eyebrow but they shook their head a moment later, offering a smile. ”Don’t fret over such things. I’ve grown up in the public eye, my history is well known by many.” At least the basics. There was many personal things they were glad weren’t on everyone’s mind. But being an apprentice young, an young Alchemist, and now a Arisen; those things were easy to find out. ”It is closer to flattery, than offensive - as long as you don’t know my every secret,” they gave a wink. But they leaned back and shrugged, ”it’s not a surprise though. It seems like the only one who has secrecy here is the Arcanist.”
Uriah raised an eyebrow, letting their head tip to the side as curiosity unbalanced it. Double blinking, they straightened up and offered a smile, slowly breaking into a soft chuckle, ”you can say that again,” they have a flick of their tail. ”You should never see me when at work, - or well, most of the time. I’m a closed book, I admit. But talks of passion, and some easy company can bring the shyest of creatures out, even if unintentionally.”
Uriahs’s eyes widened and a smile overtook them. ”In public? How could you manage such a thing? I must hear this story at once.” They sighed a moment later. Shaking their head. Their most embarrassing moments weren’t something they were too fond of sharing. Personal, close to home. There were the small ones like tripping over their cloak in public, but the ones that actually hit home were for other reasons. They shook out that thought and perked their ears, raising a brow, offering a hum. ”Of course. Perhaps I should take tea with more citizens. Keep them on their toes. The surprise is fun to watch, too.” They winked and smiled. ”But I’m glad you agree. I know there is no doubt some pressure, when with someone in my position.”
