Plot: The artisan Angelia visits Lady Scarlet and brings along her pit slave Ze'ev to discuss the pit fighter business now that the crucible is destroyed and all the pit fights have been put on hold (or whatever else they want to talk about). Ze'ev, meanwhile, trains with one of Lady Scarlet's pit fighters.
Drip ...Drip .......Plop! Ze'ev shook his head, crossing his eyes to scowl at the water droplet dampening his velvety nose. The rain had stopped around early afternoon but now everything was soaked and dripping. He hunched his shoulders against the cool breeze, bringing with it the scent of more rain to come. One glance at the overcast sky and he was certain the clouds would open up and douse him with a downpour any second, but the rain held out, only the distant roll of thunder warned of a coming storm.
The spotted stallion splashed through a muddy puddle set in the cobblestone road and picked up his pace so that he was trotting at his Mistress's shoulder. "Are we almost there?" he asked, albeit politely. "I've never met this 'Lady Scarlet', do you know her very well?" his idle chat was interrupted by a merchant pulling a cart, rudely bumping into Ze'ev as he grumbled and tugged his wares down the path. Ze'ev swallowed the urge to snap at the old merchant and trained his yellow eyes ahead. The houses and buildings were all quite grand, though he hadn't a clue which belonged to their host.

Jenko was fully awake by the time the rain had been pouring down on Aodh, tickling against his chamber’s window. The stallion had always found comfort in its soothing sound and yet, he hadn't slept well. Then again, what's another night of restlessness? The nightmares were plaguing him again. Mocking and booing Valorians whom he did not recognize their faces sent cold shivers down his spine. Tossing and turning until he woke, panting heavily and sweat dripping down his features. He hadn't gone back to sleep after that. Sighing, he lifted himself off his bedstead for an early morning stretch. After that was over with he decided to head downstairs to greet his Mistress. He figured Lady Scarlet might be up by now.
“Good morning, My Lady. Did you sleep well?” He called out to the Noble whilst gathering his training bandages and hoof boots. He was told there would be a meeting with a certain Lady Angelia and her pit fighter this afternoon. He wondered if he knew her pit slave and if Lady Scarlet would allow him to socialize with the latter... He was pleased he was allowed to go with the Lady of Ardor. Truth be told, Jenko loved the Lady dearly and would always try his hardest to treat her with the utmost respect. Jenko wasn’t particularly gifted when it came to fancy talk and courtesies, but he managed nonetheless. It's the least he can do for everything she's done for him. (I edited a few things as promised!)

sHIT AM I LATE TO THE PARTY
Ange |
The small mare strode quickly and carefully down the streets of Valore. She was trying her hardest to get Ze'ev in before the rain started, she didn't want to arrive at a noble's home, completely soaked. Her eyes flickered back to her slave, who trailed slightly behind. With the fights coming to a halt for the moment being, so this left the dark appaloosa with nothing to do. Ange was trying to get him out of the house, a trip to the Pearl here, some parties there. She'd rather not have him die of boredom. With meeting lady Scarlet, they both had a perfect opportunity to socialize.
With small drops started to fall, she tried to quicken her pace. Hopefully they hadn't gotten lost, how embarrassing would that be. Ze'ev arrived at her shoulder, asking if they were close, "I'm sure we're close, it feels as if we've been traveling for ages." Ange answered, scanning for any signs of the noble's house. "It can't be far now." Her attention was grabbed from the small-talk, to an older merchant traveling down the stone road. Ange offered a polite smile as they passed, her eyes scanning Ze'ev's reaction. "They're old, they probably didn't see you. She mumbled to the stallion, once out of ear-shot. He never did seem well with people..
At last, they finally arrived at the correct address. Ange strode up to the door, and rung the door-bell. She could finally get away from the humid air.

Jenko had more than enough time to prep himself for the afternoon visit. He had finished his breakfast rather quickly. The appaloosa noticed the open drawer to his right, his favorite drawer. The drawer filled with delicious pastries. He glanced around, looking for the Lady and the other slaves of the Ardor household. There was no one in the kitchens. Jenko took the opportunity to sneak to said drawer and steal a blueberry pastry. I shouldn’t… He prayed the Lady wouldn’t notice one had gone missing. Forgive me, My Lady. It was far too tempting. He took his belongings and left the kitchens like a thief in the night.
The guests seemed rather important to the Noble. The young stallion decided it would be a good idea to bathe and pamper himself in his favorite scented oils and flower petals. He had to look presentable and well-groomed, obviously. He didn’t want to put the Lady of Ardor to shame.
He dried his mane by shaking it vigorously, following by combing and styling it to his liking. He was pleased with what he saw in the mirror, his reflection staring back at him in approval. He noticed his mane had gotten longer. It started to curl again. Perhaps it was time for a cut. He'd ask Lady Scarlet later. He figured there was no need to strap his bandages just yet and left the preparations at that.
Ding-Dong
Already? He thought to himself. Well I’d be damned. I made it just in time. He ran down the stairs, calling for the Noble. “My lady, I think the guests have arrived! I shall open the door and invite them in.” He suggested. He was too proud to admit he was excited to meet them. He couldn’t help but wonder: who might be this Lady Angelia’s pit fighter?
Jenko went to the door knob and twisted it with his telekinesis. “Good afternoon, My Lady and fellow pit fighter. Lovely to make your acquaint-“ Jenko stopped mid-sentence when he noticed the stallion, struggling for words. Out of all possible pit fighters… it just had to be HIM. The spotted pretty boy himself: Ze’ev.
After everything that happened it just had to be him. Here. Now. At this very moment. Jenko realized, much to his dismay that he was not dreaming. He quickly gained his senses, figuring it might be rude to stare. “M- My pardons, My Lady. Fellow pit fighter. How rude of me. Lovely to make your acquaintance. My name is Jenko. Please, do come in…” He pulled the door wide open. “If it please you” he said “I’ve heard today’s weather is dreadful. Would you like to warm yourselves by Lady Scarlet’s hearth?”
(@poe If anything is out of context regarding Scarlet, her house and ways, just tell me and I'd be more than happy to change it!)
