Hey everyone! I'm going to be your DM throughout this adventure! But before we start, let me say a few things 1. Please link your RPG reference, at least, on your first post. 2. Any fights will be handled in the SA chapter methods with different methods of dealing with things. If anyone wants to roll for attacks hitting, message me on discord (houndflash #4128). I'll be using creatures, from D&D 5e Monster Manual and PHB modified to fit SA lore. 3. Currently in this party is Kelpie-Boi, Mad-Manx, KeraRose, Zookcan, and Dreamlark. There is room for two more characters to join the group, so if you want to join, please message me on discord. 4. Verun is going to be y'alls plot device. Have fun with the gun slinging, knife welding, chaotic chaotic child. NOTHING CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG! Right? 5. Have fun, and please let me know if something doesn't work for you.
Verun's Ref Time of day: Late Morning Season: Spring Location: An unnamed Inn/pub outside of Sterling The world seemed at peace this morning as a small crowd gathered inside a small inn. The inn/pub was situated on the crossroads outside of Sterling, an easy place for all travelers of all herds to rest their heads and fill their bellies, as long as there was the right amount of shards. The main room of the pub was mostly dark, having no windows in the main room itself, with tables placed along the walls for patrons. There was a single innkeeper at the bar, a stout, gruff unicorn with an old scar across his face. Some of the patrons were eating a late breakfast or early lunch, while some had already started the traditional pass-time of drinking. There was a small band of a couple of common horses in the corner playing a few quiet songs. Meanwhile a small ruffled pegasus, with a sack of what look to be knives and a firearm strapped to her back, is quietly darting from one table to the next. Talking to each table for a moment in small clipped tones, then moving on.

Sinarin;Rogue
It was late morning, and while the thief still had a ways to travel to get back home in Asylon...well. He never missed a good chance to pick up a few extra shards to fill his pockets. So with a flashy grin, the common horse turned down the dirt trek toward the inn he had just spotted, whistling a jaunty tune to himself.
The place seemed small, but that didn’t deter Sin. It wasn’t like he was looking for a room to rent. No, he had his sights set on a quick meal, a decent drink (hopefully), and easy target to pickpocket.
With that in mind he sauntered through the door and toward the bar, silver eyes roaming quickly over the interior and its occupants, a magpie riding upon his saddlebags. Everything seemed pretty typical for the place...except the odd, small pegasus hustling about.
“Heyla, old chap. I’ll take a meal, a drink, and the latest local gossip if I can,” Sinarin informed the innkeeper with another grin, his attention shifting back to the room’s occupants to scout out the best target.

K E L B Y Kelby sighed as she entered the inn. The trip from Onea to Sedo was taking a very long time- her hooves ached, her legs ached, her whole body ached. Still, her muscle was returning, and there was finally some meat on her bones. Her mind was clearer, the nightmares far fewer. Still, she was unreasonably angry at those who had done bad things to her and others.
She walked to the front desk, renting out a few rooms to house all of her fleeing family. She had a few shards, but not nearly enough to get them all the way to Sedo. She'd likely have to find some work at some point, since she didn't know if she'd be able to get them started in Sedo without money.
Afterwards, she went to the bar, spotting a painted Common Horse at the counter. She shambled over, her shiny metal armor packed away, though she doubted she'd ever use it again. Instead, she had swapped it out for leather, lined with fur to keep her warm on her journey. She nodded at the equine next to her, hoping that he didn't notice the scars, which she had tried to hide with her armor. Still, they couldn't all be hidden, especially the garish wings on her sides. She prayed to the goddesses that they wouldn't ask.
"A mug of ale, please," they asked, giving a short half-smile to the barkeep. "A meal as well. Thank you." Their voice was raspy, the tones clipped with a past vocal hemorrhage. Turning to the stranger, they nodded, giving a healthy stomp of their hoof. "Kelby, pleasure to meet you. Your name, stranger?"

Alyxx | Noble
The Champagne colored horse's hooves clicked on the flooring as they entered the in. Blue eyes roved the bands of horses inside, trying to find a good place to sit and rest for a spell. Being from Aodh made them feel as though they ha da target here on their back, with all the goings on in the world and whatnot. But, they were safe for the moment, as they weren't easily recognized outside the city of Valore. They'd left most of their shiny trappings behind, settling on a bridle inlaid with gold and opal as their only worldly adornment today.
They found a couple of horses conversing, and slowly approached. When cut off by the inkeeper, they quietly ordered a meal and some ale, before continuing on their way over to the strangers. Clearing their throat, Alyxx waited to be noticed, before they tried to slide in with the others. They were tired from the long journey, and in much need of refreshments, but perhaps they could make some new friends here as well.
"I'm Alyxx," greeted the Champagne, nodding to the others. "It's a pleasure to meet you both."

Sinarin;Rogue
"Well, well, if it isn't my lucky day~" The rogue announced, voice turning a bit of a drawl as he checked out the equines that had slowly approached and ordered food. One looked pretty battle worn, someone Sin wouldn't want to pick a fight with. But the other...well they looked sleek, and wealthy if that bridle was anything to judge by. Gold and opals were glittering, though the stallion knew well he couldn't slip that pretty thing of the other's face without them realizing it. Even with his considerable talents.
"Definitely a pleasure, Kelby and Alyxx. The name's Sinarin. And while I'd like to flirt with you both, do either of you recognize that flighty little scoundrel bouncing around? I'm curious what they're up to." Sharp silver gaze had been following the small equine, eyeing the weapons that appeared to be in the sack strapped to her back. Now that...was certainly something he'd like to get his hooves on. But the smaller equine hadn't ventured close to them yet, and was talking too softly to be heard from where Sin stood at the bar.

K E L B Y "Pleasure to meet you, Sinarin, Alyxx," the mare said, nodding to each of them in turn. "Barbarian, at your service, should you need a guard. I'm heading to Serora, but willing to make a pit stop, should the need arise."
She turned and saw the little pegasus wandering her way through the crowd, stopping here and there to chat, but not staying in any one spot long. Her brow furrowed, eyes narrowed as she tried to place the foal, but failed. "I have no idea what she's up to," she said, fixating on a loose buckle on her armor for a moment. Tightening the strap, she looked up once more, only to find the pegasus filly on the move again. "Perhaps one of us should ask her?"
She looked at her barmates once more. Sinarin was a tricky fellow, of that she was sure- equines would have to watch their pouches of shards closely. The other was wealthy, if the bridle had anything to say about it. The gold inlaid in it gleamed softly in the light, the opal providing a nice contrast. The equine themself wasn't that strong- their body was lightly toned, but it was likely for dancing and light workouts, not fighting for one's life, like she had dealt with.
One could never know the full story of an equine without asking, but Kelby had a pretty good idea.
Sinarin could go and ask the child, but it was likely to end poorly. The pegasus also looked to be the roguish type, and two rogues together was never a good idea. The noble, Alyxx, would likely end up with a lighter purse- if she left him with Sinarin or he went to confront the child.
With her experience with her sisters, perhaps it was best that she go. "I have sisters around her age. I can ask her questions, if we want to."
She just hoped that her scars and raspy voice wouldn't scare the poor child away.
