Cultural or religious sentiment aside, the new lake was great. It had easily become one of Acorro’s favourite places whenever he was in Osulas and he often found himself gravitating towards it in his spare time. Truth be told her was more interested in the sparkling water itself in its great singular, still expanse, so uncommon in their land, than he was in its origins. A gift from the goddess he was told, which certainly made sense given its rather sudden appearance, but he wasn't going to like it just because of that. His father would have been absolutely beside himself over it he was sure - the thought of the late mullah' excitement, and more specifically the sermon that would have undoubtedly come with it, made Acorro shudder. No, it was great for what it was, not where (or who) it came from.
He had been absently skirting the edges of it, enjoying the feeling of the sun and the breeze and half-considering plans to run through some solo drills, or alternatively just relaxing by the shore, when he spotted a familiar equine down by the shore. He was hardly alone in his appreciation for the new landmark and there was almost always horses milling about, but the bright bay coat and flowing scarf of Esin were unmistakable. Ever social and happy to see those he knew (and even those he didn't) he diverted his path to trot down to where she was.
“Hi Esin,” he greeted brightly. He was hardly going to go by without at the very least exchanging pleasantries. "Wind beneath your wings! Lovely day today," he continued on to make idle conversation. However, emotionally dense as he was, even Acorro couldn't miss the melancholic air that surrounded her and his smile soon morphed to a concerned frown as he stopped beside her.
"Is everything alright? Anything I can do to help?"
