Dire Decisions
This roleplay is taking place after our current plot chapter 001: Safety In Numbers. Despite the group separating, they all have made it out alive and mostly in one piece. As they all hide away, it wasn't long before the city was more in control and the streets a bit safer. Yet they were not all safe quite yet, word spread quickly of decisions needing to be made, a settlement of the sort to keep them all safe. There was a decision to be made, and it seemed this little group of Misfits banded together once more in hopes maybe this time, they can decide on the right thing to do.
Setting: They are all to meet up in Kali's safe haven, a place where most of them escaped to wait out the storm of the city and the bloodshed of the streets. They all hoped that perhaps this place they could make decision on what to do next and let each other speak freely about concerns and fears more easily then they all could elsewhere. One by one they all will show up and discuss what is to become of them all.

Farsight || Talori || Harrower
Everything passed as a blur in those past few days. Farsight was left on the cold pavement, beaten to a pulp. Luckily for him he was found and nursed somewhat back to health. Still even now as he traveled to the a place, he never made it too, he still looked banged up. His wings missed some feathers and he still walked with a limp. Eyes closed for a brief moment trying to recall what all has happened. His little group escaped, he was beaten down, and now there was talk of a settlement for them all. They said it would be for safety, but there felt to be a wrongness in it all. It was like a cage for a bird, sure he may have room to spread his wings and fly about, but still there was boundries, there were gates. It may seem like a haven, but Farsight was leerily, though after getting himself beaten down against the pavement, the idea of not being panicked when others were around sounded good too.
Farsight opened his eyes and looked forwards into the forest like area and snorted a bit and soon realized... He was a bit unsure of where to go from here. He never made it out to Kalakara's haven, and a part of him wish he wasn't so foolish and left them all behind. Yet from what he heard they all had made it safe and to him it was worth it. Despite the fact his wings were bandaged up, from the rough house and the extremist trying to snap them in half. He shuddered faintly, but it was over with, at least for now. Farsight trotted forwards a bit, but the feeling of uneasiness grew more and more, he didn't want to see them all, he avoided many of them not wanting to see their look of shame or guilt at him. He made a mistake and it was hard enough for him to try and forgive himself, he couldn't even imagine how all the others felt about his act of childness. He stopped in his tracks and looked forwards and sighed. Farsight honestly had no idea where he was going... Maybe if he waited around a bit someone would show up from their little group. Surely they weren't all waiting on him to get there?

Tansy's light heartedness had fled her. It had left with a woosh as she watched Farsight, HER Farsight, rush off to what Tansy was certain was his death. Shaking her head small water droplets were sent flying everywhere. She was desperately trying to dislodge the thought that Farsight was ever hers. He was Zenith's or at least would have been if he had not done something so gallant.
For the past few days of their hiding she had gone from cold, to sad, to numb and even to angry. An emotion Tansy was not all to familiar with. Currently, as she stood on the edge of a pitifully small stream that was caused by an underground spring erupting to the surface, she felt mad. Mad at him and at herself for not jumping in to help him. Letting out a huff she fell to the knees of her front legs and stretched her head into the water. The level only came to over her lips and if she moved around too much the water would become sooty with mud, but it was water. The calming effect it had on Tansy was noticeable if she had not been alone. After their flight and after Farisights notion of martyrdom she had mindlessly tended their small group. Most of her efforts directed to Zenith and her wounds. But through it all she had not been the same. She often left the grouo in search of water. Her hydromania had always helped her think better if she was touhing water. Now without Farsight everything felt grey and she couldn't bring herself to be as chipper as she always was even when bathing. If he was truly dead would she even stay in Talori?
That thought brought her back to herself and she pulled out of the trickling water with a snort. Righting herself on her hooves again, she glanced around. Was that a noise? Tansy did not bother with cover, she was black and white and in this green haven she was a sore thumb. Stepping lightly though she moved out of the thick jaggers that encompassed the stream with ease and saw him in the thinner part of the area.
It was Farsight though he had surely seen better days. Yet he wore bandages and though he moved stiffly he was upright. A surge of jealously at having someone tend to Farsight like she could raged across her mind but she bit it back harshly. He was safe, that's what mattered but that didn't stop the rising feeling she was having. It felt like anger again but not all at the same time.
Disregarding their concealment she rushed to him huffing. Boy she had a few words she wanted to say to him!
"Ooooh!!! Yooou!" she screeched angrily though a snort as she beared down on him. The otherd woukd surely hear her. The closer she got however her stomach twisted. Her hooves sped up and she cannoned against him, disregarding all the lines she had just been collecting to hurl at him. Standing with her chest against him she wrapped her head under his and beside his neck. She knew she would catch him off guard as he had not seen her hidden amongst the thorns.
In her embrace of him her emotions sprialed as tears began to flow. Some of the things she had planned to say came out but in an emotional tangle.
"You hard headed... Stupid... Brave... Idiotic..."
Words continued to pour from Tansy as she stood there against Farsight and wept.

The past few days had been trying, to say the very least. While Tansy had tended to the physical wounds of the group, the emotional damage drained them all, especially with Farsight separated from the others who had so narrowly escaped harm at the hands of pegasus haters only a few days before. Kali's head was low, and her eyes flickered as she fought to stay awake, feeling the sun warm her splashed coat. Despite the turmoil she felt, wondering if Farsight was all right, worrying about Daemyn's state of mind, and thinking about her new friends, Kali was ready to fall asleep on her feet.
That was, however, before she heard Tansy screeching her head off. The overo's head shot up as she heard the other mare's yelling from nearby. Thanks to the dense woodland, it was impossible to see Tansy, and Kali felt a shudder go through her. Was the mare being attacked? Kali turned and began cantering in the other paint's direction, slowing slightly when she realized it sounded like Tansy was doing the attacking. Maybe she didn't want to get mixed up in all that.
But, before Kali could back away slowly - or find some form of peace offering for what sounded like a very angry Tansy - she stumbled into a clearing, where Tansy was leaning, sobbing against none other than Farsight. Eyes wide, Kali stopped, shocked. She could barely believe what she was seeing. "Farsight!" she cried, rushing forward. She stopped just short of the pair. "I can't believe you made it," Kali said, giving Farsight a once over. He appeared to be injured, but in no worse shape than the currently distraught Tansy.

Zenith l Talori l Brewer
Zen snorted softly as as they gingerly made thier way through the thick plant growth of the wilds, limping along slowly. It had been a long couple days, and honestly, most of it didn't even seem real. Between the attacks following the sacrifice, and the conversation the young horse had recently had with their brother, Zen felt as if they were in a daze. Everything was all so surreal... Flicking their ears around like a satelite, the appaloosa anxiously made their way towards Kali's shelter. It wasn't ever easy to traverse the wilds, as danger lurked around every corner, but it was even more difficult with a new mobility cart that wasn't quite broken in yet. Shuddering, the copper horse thought back to the last time they had been here... The young horse and their companions had been feeling for their lives, running from violent dissenters who wished to cause the small group of pagasi and those who chose to help them harm. It was all so terrifying, and took the young brewer back to a place they never wished to go mentally. It had been years since they'd been attacked on the Isles of the Dead, but this brought it flooding back as if it was yesterday. None the less, the appaloosa continued onward, wanting nothing more to be by Serene's side once more. The older mare had cared for them through all of the pain, confusion, and anxiety last time, they only hoped she could do the same for them now. Then again, this time the little horse was far from alone... Tansy would be there, as would Daemyn, Kali, and hopefully Farsight. Farsight... The brewer's heart caught in their chest at the thought of the stupid yet brave horse to whom they were betrothed. The last time Zen had seen the young Pegasus, he'd been flying head on into the fray...They could only hope he was alright and had found someplace safe to wait out the chaos. Flicking an ear to the side nervously, the copper horse heard the familiar voices of their companions. They were close. A wave of relief washed over Zen as they stumbled through the thick plant growth to make their way to the others. Approaching cautiously, the young horse stepped into the safety of the clearing to see Kali, Tansy, and... Farsight! He was alright! Everything in Zen wanted to rush forward, but something held them back. Maybe it was the way Tansy sobbed against Farsight's neck, or the way the trio seemed perfectly comfortable in each others company...but something about the entire scene made Zenith feel a bit like an outsider. It had been obvious before that Tansy cared for the speckled pegasus, but it was even more evident now. If Zen hadn't been there, would Tansy and Farsight have ended up together? Were they a better match for each other? The brewer bit their lip, anxiety flooding their being once more. Were they hindering love that should be allowed to bloom? Were the demands of out of touch parents who cared more for tradition than passion destroying something beautiful? Shaking their head softly in an attempt to force the thoughts away, the young appaloosa stood silently at the edges of the clearing, feeling like an intruder as tears began welling up in their eyes. Farsight || Harrower || Talori
The forest was quiet and Farsight was beginning to feel like he had taken a wrong turn, he had never been here. Ears flickered back, but suddenly his attention was pulled forwards. He heard something and his ears flickered back, fear grasping him, yet when he saw Tansy, all fear washed away. He began to smile slowly, but then her voice called out to him and his ears were back and his face in complete fear for a moment. Tansy was angry... with him. Farsight was like a deer to headlights. Gods have mercy from Tansy's wrath, no words could escape his lips as the his long time friend came towards him with fury he never wished to have upon him. This was it, this was the end. He thought to himself.
Collapse, crash into me, Farsight thought to himself. He felt her embrace, the rush of tears and words. If he could work his sore wings, they would wrap around her. He'd brush the mane out of her face, like he had done so many times before when they were young, okay even know he still did. "Tansy." he murmured so sweetly to her. Yes, by the gods he missed her, he missed them all. Gods he missed them all like never before. "Gods be good Tansy you're alive. I'm alive." he laughed a bit as he nipped at her mane, a smile on his face, but tears threatened to fall down. He nuzzled her forehead gingerly. "I know... I'm dumb." he laughed all the more. "But I told you I'd be a hero someday." he grinned. Though in all honesty he always told her, he would be her hero. But that was back in the day. All he knew she was alive and well, and he hoped the others were as well.
Ears perked up and his head followed suit. Someone else was bearing in. Kali. "Kali! You did it, you got them all safe! I knew you could I knew it." he beamed at her with such a bright smile it made his eyes twinkle with delight. "I'm so happy to see you! How are you? How are the others? Are they here already?" he asked his voice rushing with excitement, despite the bad times. How was Daemyn? How was Zenith? Zenith... Gods... Would she forgive him? She wanted him by her side.. and yet he left without a second thought. He was guilty. He was to afraid to know the answer. Oh Zenith is fine, but she doesn't want to see you... His ears flickered back and he sensed something. A trigger of the sort, a small glance hazed over his vision. A gift of his being notorious as ever. Yet something urged him to look over. So.. he did.
Pale eyes looked over his shoulders. Stomach instantly dropped, he felt his heart quicken so rapidly, did it stop? So fast it didnt beat at all. Was it possible, that's how he felt. But there she looked at them, and Farsight felt the overwhelming power of guilt. He left her side, gods why... He did it for them all. For her. Yet there she was just looking. Was his mere appearance a thorn in her side, what would she say to him. He wanted to say so much, to say he was sorry, beg for forgiveness. His lips parted and all he could mutter was a single word. "Zenith." his voice was soft, and yet his eyes did not leave her sight. A smile was on his face though it was so light so willing to flee from his face. He felt so utterly guilty as he looked to her. He felt like he broke a promise, when all he aimed to do was save them. Save her. He messed up that he knew... He messed up big time and only the gods knew if he could ever make it up to her. It was like before, when he saw her wounded and hurt. Why? Why did they seem to have a knack for meeting up like this? Farsight chased away those thoughts and remained looking right at her. "Are you okay?" he asked her. He wanted to say he was sorry... but where to even begin?

As Tansy's heavy sobs drifted slowly into mere sniffles as tears still welled and spilled silently. She felt his playful nip of her mane and she warmed, noting in her mind that she felt her heart again. There was her blood, beating hard in her large heart. It thrummed happily and she sighed relaxing. For the past few days her blood had felt like it had drained from her into the earth and her heart simply beat to defy her greif. That though, was no longer needed. Farsight was not dead. She felt his warmth as he nuzzled her forehead and she smiled through her tears with a strangely sweet giggle.
She couldn't talk, her throat was too tight to let anything but a gentle wheeze of air to sustain her to pass. She hiccuped and nodded vigorously sending her fuzzy mane to puff out acknowledging him always steaking claim to be a hero. She remebered him saying that often but she never believed the sweet hearted pegasi with her now would be in a position to act upon it. Trying an attempt at a deep breath she was shocked she could and gulped the sweet, precious air as she discreetly backed away from Farsight, only slightly though.
Tansy noticed Kali had joined them though she had not heard their approach and words in her wave of shock. Quivering there, her face glittered with tears, she watched him through her disheveled hair. Tansy was still close enough to Farsight to feel the vibration of his voice before she understood he had uttered Zenith's name and looked back from where she had first bolted. Indeed Farsight had seen his betrothed standing there with an odd look on her face. This was nothing she had not come to terms with awhile back when she had learned of Farsight's betrothal. Still she felt a sharp pain in her chest as she glanced back to see Farsight's own fixation on them. Mindful though she forced her ears to perk forward with attention and called out rather lamely.
"Zenith. He's okay!"
She stepped away more. Coming to stand closer to Kali so that there would be a place for Zenith to join them, with Farsight's focus mostly to them. Her body still shook with the overwhelming joy she felt but in her shock she did not feel the twinge of despair she knew would come later. Tansy knew Farsight would not be hers any more and she had accepted that with the knowledge she would not lose him fully but would be gaining a new friend hopefully in Zenith. She grinned without any withholding of feeling to Kali then Zenith.
"It will all be okay now"
She said with real feeling. Seeming like her normal self for the first time since they had started their flight to safety.

There were so many questions from Farsight that Kali didn't know where to begin, but she needn't have worried about it, for only a moment later Zenith appeared, waiting at the edge of the clearing as though she were an outsider. Luckily, Farsight was quick to remedy that situation, rushing to his betrothed's side. The way he greeted her, tenderly but edged with the grief of his actions, the suffering he'd caused Zenith, raw and present under his words. Kali now felt as though she were on the outside, that she shouldn't be peering in on such a private greeting between Zenith and her fiance.
Tansy's arrival at Kali's side distracted the mare, and she glanced at the other black and white paint, seeing that the mare was trying to be as cordial as she could under her distressed state. In fact, Tansy's upset seemed to be leaving her, evaporating like dew in the sun. Still, Kali gently pressed her shoulder to Tansy's for a second, letting her know that she was there, supportive. Then, just as quickly, she moved away.
"Zenith, Farsight, I don't mean to break you up," the mare said, smiling at the pair. "But I think we would be safer at the hiding place. We're not out of the woods yet," she reminded them. "Shall we head back? I'm sure the others will be happy to see you, Farsight," she said, glancing at Tansy, then the others.

Zenith l Talori l Brewer
"Zenith."
Farsight's voice broke into the horse's thoughts as a single tear rolled down their face. Looking up at the younger stallion, they quickly wiped the tear away, not wanting the pegasus to think less of them, though anxiety still dictated their every thought and movement. As their betrothed approached, Zenith did their best to smile, not wanting to worry the other with the chaos that plagued their mind.
"Are you okay?"
The copper horse nodded gently before finding their voice. "I'm okay." They muttered softly, the anxiety that overwhelmed them creeping into their voice. "I'm just glad to be back with all of you." They glanced back at the two black and white paints who stood a few paces behind Farsight. "Are you alright? I've been worried sick about you.." They paused, choosing their next words carefully. "I...I thought I might never see you again." As they spoke, tears threatened to spill down their cheeks once more, and Zen found themself biting their lip in an attempt to keep the tears at bay once more. Before the younger horse even had a chance to respond, Tansy's soothing voice called out from behind him.
"Zenith. He's okay! It will all be okay now"
The cleric's voice was gentle and reassuring as always, and Zenith couldn't help but smile a bit as she spoke. Turning back to Farsight, the appaloosa nickered softly as they nuzzled his cheek, inhaling his scent as they did. It was calming, being near him. Maybe it was because of all the chaos they'd endured together, or something more divine, but whatever it was, it was good.
"Zenith, Farsight, I don't mean to break you up, But I think we would be safer at the hiding place. We're not out of the woods yet, Shall we head back? I'm sure the others will be happy to see you, Farsight."
Kali's voice broke the silence, and Zenith found themself nodding knowingly. It was true, it still wasn't entirely safe to be gathering out in the open like this... and there was much to discuss with the small group in private. Their brother, the Emperor, had a plan that must be shared with the group. Panic began to overtake the spotted horse once more as they thought about how the group might take the news. Burying their face in Farsight's mane, they tried to shove the thoughts away. Safety first, panic later...They told themself as they slowly began making their way back to the hide out that had saved all of their lives.

Farsight || Harrower || Talori
Eyes watched her every moment, as if her nervous he would see that look of anger, that look of betrayal. he kept looking for it, or perhaps it was his own guilty heart that pleaded for some sort of punishment from her. Though none came from her, instead she spoke so tenderly, and it shattered him. Wasn't this the duty of heroes? To save those that needed to be saved? Sure he was none with any powers of greatness, but he'd risk anything for them all. Especially for her. He smiled, but he felt the urge to embrace her, to bury his face in the warmth of her, to tell her he was so sorry for leaving when she asked for him to stay. How he thought that he could be... be what she needed. All he wanted was to prove his worth. Was that so wrong?
Gentle words so fragile, almost seemed to break as she spoke to him never seeing him again. He smiled all the more and flashed her a wink. "It was never seen in my future to leave you all that fast." he chuckled a bit, but he glanced at himself. He was still bruised, cut up and wings bandaged up. "Can't be rid of me that easily." he tried to make light of things, to make her smile, or even better laugh. He loved hearing that, to hear someone laugh, especially the good belly laughs. The kind that hurts your stomach and tears fall from your face. He placed his head towards her and whispered so softly, words only for her ears to hear. "I'm not leaving you, not again."
Ears flickered upwards as Kali spoke of it not being safe to be out here not like this, the infamous little group, a little gang. His family. Farsight nodded, "Yes lets get out of the open and somewhere safe, and we can all catch up with one another." he remarked with a nod as he walked forwards. Farsight looked to them all, and he hoped Daemyn would show soon, but he assumed being a guard, he must be quiet busy trying to keep the peace and everyone safe after everything had happened. Farsight looked to them all, and he smiled so brightly, who knew such tragedy could bring them together into what he assumed was a tight knit family. Yes, everything surely had to get better. Let the waves wash away the taint of the past. Surely their future would be brighter. Farsight nipped at Zenith's ear playfully, before moving forwards and following after Kali. So much to catch up, but Farsight was just happy to finally know exactly where he belongs. Here with them all.
