Setting: The new Osulas lake
Time of day: Early Afternoon
Acorro hadn't been expecting to leave a crater and come back to a lake - when he'd first arrived back at the Osulas ruins he'd wondered if he'd gone the wrong way. There was water, everywhere. Which wasn't a bad thing, but he wasn't used to water suddenly being where it wasn't. This was a desert land, water didn't usually do that. It made a lot more sense when it was explained to him that it was Alya's doing. It was starting to sound like she was being seen a lot more often these days...
The water's edge was a lovely place to relax and not think about current affairs. Acorro was taking the chance to lounge near the new lake, half dozing in the afternoon warmth. Lailah was lying against his side, actually asleep and her large ears twitching every so often as she dreamed. At the sound of wings overhead his own ears twitched and he raised his nose off the ground to look skywards, eyes squinting against the bright sky. There was a flash of pale wings and he followed them absently, until they dropped into a steep dive and they and their owner vanished below the water's surface.
Acorro blinked, surprised and suddenly more awake as he focused on where the pegasus had vanished beneath the surface of the new lake. Or at least, he was pretty sure that was what had happened. There'd barely been any splash, he hadn't imagined it had he? He wasn't even sure if it was something a pegasus would do, and he was pretty sure those wings had belonged to a pegasus and not a diving bird... He tilted his head as he tried to think, staring at the water's surface and definitely starting to wonder if he had just dreamed up the diving pegasus until they surfaced. Well, that answered that question.
It wasn't until he locked eyes with the aquatic pegasus that he realised he was staring and he blinked once more before offering a sheepish grin of apology. He hadn't meant to stare, honest!
