It had been days since her return to the land of the sands; the mid morning sun reminding the young mare that she was home under Ayla's watch. Being within the land of Breim had given the young mare a new perspective on life. But now, she had come home to speak to whom she was devout to, Ayla. The Haflinger mare had come to the shrine for a reason, a personal vendetta to herself. With her soft eyes full of concern and her mouth agape at the statue, she spoke. "You greeted everyone but me, you were here when I weren't."
Acuna's voice was soft, but had the touch in jealousy hiding behind her. It hurt, the fact she wasn't there to witness Ayla's presence over the land. From hearing the numerous whispers and hearing the various celebrations, Acuna had grown jealous of everyone who had interacted with her; which unfortunately meant her cousin too. In truth, Acuna did not mean to feel this way, but it was too hard to not acknowledge the pain. The jealousy. Her golden eyes had been on the ground for a while now, as tears brimmed at the thought of what was going on. It was driving her crazy.
"It's so unfair you know," Acuna's voice shook as she raised her head again, to look once more at Ayla's shrine "The fact that I have been nothing but extremely devout for you, even wearing this bracelet I found with Nuriko." Acuna raised her only white leg, which displayed a beautiful bracelet with Ayla on it. The mare took a deep breath, her body reminding her of the pain she was feeling.
"Why were you even here? What were you looking for...?" Acuna lowered her hoof with a slam, hitting the ground with force. Anger flowed through her, but what came from her was pure disappointment. Her braided hair swished through the breeze that was blessing this location. It was like the sky mother was trying to comfort her child, but Acuna was brushing it off. The mare moved her head to the size, a mix of hesitation and discontent.
"Why do I disappoint you Ayla? Why do you avoid me? Am I one of your mistakes?" Acuna honestly didn't know where she was going with this. All she knew was pain, from all around. All she wanted to do was belong, for sky mother to love her. Acuna believed she was the anomaly in all of Alya's believers. That one child that felt pushed out by their own mother. Maybe Coleit was right. Maybe being a planter was all she was good for.
