Dawson | Shoal
Thankfully, Dawson wasn’t the only one who’d been curious enough about their last expedition into the Temple.
Granted, anyone who hadn’t been, he might have deemed crazy. The Temple of Time was an enigma… Filled with enigmas. Since first stepping hoof in the Temple, Dawson craved to explore every nook and cranny it had to offer. Perhaps one day he’d have the chance to do so. But today, he, and several others, were on a personal mission of sorts. Excitement and trepidation fluttered in the Shoal’s stomach, wondering what new knowledge they might walk out of the Temple with.
They were to speak with the Oracles, to try and scour and glean the contents of Mesitafi, a no doubt powerful relic of their past. Dawson himself had already been witness to a few visions, but last time… The mare and her daughter had seemed so… tangible. Maybe it was because they were able to interact with the pair, but the event had left its mark on him. Dawson, however, had not expected to be able to successfully convince Krein to come back with him. The kirin’s reasonings had been cryptic at best, but still, he was glad his friend had decided to venture back with him.

Meredith Talori - The Shoal [Gatherer/Explorer]
......
Her weary eyes looked at her Evie who stood infront on her, making otter noises to try to wake the mare up. "Could you give me five more minutes please." she said as she turned back around to go back to sleep. There was nothing important today, so she might as well keep sleeping. It took a few minutes, but then she remebered. She did have something important today... Oh no how could she forget the expedition today. With the speed of a just awoken mare who found out she had forgotten something important she jumped up, grabbed her saddlebags and ran out the door.
With a fast but happy gallop, Meredith went to the Temple of Time. Excitement ran through her veins as she was excited to the rest of the group back. She was one of the equines who had discovered Mesitafi, something she silently is still proud of till this day.
With a cheery hello she greeted Dawson, her eyes shooting everywhere in curiousity and excitement while her large ears turned everywhere. What were they going to discover today? Another artifact? Who knows? Adreline shoots through her veins as she eagerly patters from hoof to hoof.

Urbi;Talori | Oracle the less you care, the happier you'll be Urbi was glad when the chirping birds of the jungle told her she wouldn't be alone when she removed herself from her room that morning. The Oracle hadn't been sleeping all too well lately, ever since her Goddess graced her with the blessing of Retrocognition, admittedly. The few moments she did manage to sleep were plagued with vivid visions that were terribly difficult to distinguish between made up nightmares or genuine passages of time with equal chance to be past or future. Often she was up with candlelight at ungodly hours of the night, dusting and busying herself. Sometimes even doing extra study of the passages that were of abundance in the Temple to try and get a handle on the visions, particularly those of the past where the information could be located tangibly.
She began the peaceful mindless chores that began her day before the sun had a chance to rise above the seas, even though Cascade decided to bless the earth that morning with a light drizzle and gentle fog. Urbi decided she would take a trip into the city and visit a Cleric and hopefully get some aid with her sleeping.
Once she had finished mopping the floor of one of the various libraries, Urbi geared herself up to head to a Cleric when she was stopped in her tracks at the Temple's entrance where a few equine were gathered with clear curiosity bright in their eyes. Urbi dipped her head in acknowledgement of the crew, "A blessed morning to you all." She smiled politely. "Welcome to the Temple." She was just about to move past them when she thought she should probably fetch Athaliah to at least assign an oracle to aid the group. "I'll just fetch Athaliah for you." She spoke gently, turning to find the older mare, giving a small shocked gasp and she discovered she was to be found right behind her. Urbi sighed and acknowledged she needed more aid for sleeping than she originally thought.

Krein|Talori|Shoal/Philosopher
Krein was all but on autopilot as her followed Dawson and a couple of other horses that had been with them during the temple search, back towards the Temple of Time. It had been a busy past couple of months, mostly spent studying and trying to figure out his place here now that... everything was so much clearer. The reborn kirin didn’t really want to think about it all too much, though he also didn’t want to get to into forgetting again either. Regrettable decisions are made that way... again.
Krein had almost been excited when Dawson mentioned a trip to the temple to show the Oracles the book that they had found in the ghost area (as the philosopher had taken to calling it). A little less excited when others joined them (obviously with the same idea), but at least it kept Dawson from asking to many questions. Krein nodded towards the Oracle that greeted the group, wishing to stay in the back of the group. It was generally easier that way, even after a full year among this time, others were still weary or intimidated by his presence. Not that Krein blamed them with his current knowledge, but caution never served to harm anyone.

Soana | Shoal | Post: 1 | WC: 218
Once more, morning. Once more, the last possible second. It wasn't fair to say that Soana was completely against the morning time, over the years she had enjoyed a few lazy sunrises on the beach. She would not go so far as to say that the sun was her enemy.
But there was something about groups. Something about setting her schedule to someone else's time. Something Soana was not a huge fan of.
So, out she wandered, hooves crunch-crunching through the jungle brush. Her blonde mane had been swept messily to one side, and her eyes were narrowed against the brightness of the sky and of the energy before her.
A few of these horses before her she actually remembered. Actually, no. One of them she remembered. The happy one beaming sunshine and rainbows as she greeted her companions. Something that Soana managed with barely any energy, just a harrumph and a lethargic nod of her head. The other four she didn't recognize, but she counted two others that were most likely here for the same reason as her- that book.
The other two were older, adorned with ceremonial trinkets that caught the craftsmen's curiosity in Soana's eyes. Those two, oracles she assumed, were the ones she came to a stop watching, standing next to her supposed companions.

checkpoint!
Athaliah smiled gently at Urbi, one of her newest Oracles before turning her gaze to the others gathered around them. Next to her, floated by her teke, Mesitafi glittered. With a golden cover inlaid with engravings and pearls, the book's expense was clearly seen, clearly felt.
Her look is almost knowing when she opens the book and the air tangibly shifts. You squeeze your eyes shut in surprise, willing the dizziness in your head away. When you open your eyes again, bright sunlight filters through your vision. A glance around confirms your suspicions. You are not where you once were. In fact, it appears that you may stand in a Temple, though the temple is not large, nor does it look anything like the ones you are familiar with in your time.
Athaliah clears her throat, "It is by her will that we revisit her time." Her will? Mesitafi's or Cascade's? Athaliah doesn't clarify, merely steps outside of the marble structure and into the full glare of the light. You follow her out of the Temple entrance.
Around you, people move about their days. It is delightfully similar to Talori today, except that, already, you can tell there is a lack of animosity between most. Before, in the Temple at your discovery, the two ghosts—the two memories—that had greeted you viewed you with abject distrust. These people though... there's no distrust.
Then, Athaliah steps right through one of the passing horses. So. You are intangible. A mere ghost in their environment. A memory not yet had. "Come along, surely there is a reason we've been brought here."
Welcome to Ancient Aquore! Mesitafi has seen fit to thrust you back in time. As revealed in Athaliah's post, your characters are like ghosts in this environment. Those of you blessed with Retrocognition or Clairvoyance will find this similar to their visions. You can see but you cannot touch.
About the environment: your group has been deposited in an old coastal town named Inci. It is reminiscent of modern Talori in terms of architecture, but this particular town is different from modern Talori in that most of its population are hippocampi and pegasi because of its nearness to the ocean and to high, but relatively safe, sea-side cliffs. Take some time to explore the town. Unfortunately you cannot talk to anyone from this ancient time, but you can see how they lived and perhaps, figure out why Mesitafi has brought you here.

Krein|Talori|Shoal (Philosopher) Krein gave a slight nod of respect as Athaliah joined the group. She was one of the few non-kirin equines that the child of Ignacio fully respected. And honestly, anyone who had enough patience to teach a highly bigoted and xenophobic kirin out of his time an entirely different literary language is deserved of the highest respect, especially in hindsight by said kirin. Krein gathered around with the others as Athaliah opened the book and immediately a wave of discomfort flowed across him. The Philosopher closed his eyes and stumbled slightly before righting himself and glancing around and sighing as the world around him seemed to have shifted.... again. “It is by her will that we visit her time.”Krein gave a slight glare at the sky as he followed the Oracle out of the temple and into the streets of the past. His eyes only slightly widened as it was revealed that they were no less than ghosts in this vision, this time. At least this time there would be significantly less looks of fear from passerbys, those do get annoying after a bit. “Come along, surely there is a reason we’ve been brought here.” Krein followed after the group, glancing around at the surrounding town in the past as everyone surrounding them went about their lives. “That part is obvious,” Krein muttered sarcastically, just loud enough to barely hear. “This is like the third time I’ve seen visions of your herd in the past. There has to be something in the past someone is trying to tell us. And either we keep missing the point or Cascade or whoever really wants to beat the idea into our heads that those who don’t hold your views aren’t evil. It’s really a toss up at this point.”

Dawson | Shoal
His head in an excited fog, Dawson waited for their party members to arrive, and together they swept off into the Temple to meet with the Oracles. Best case scenario, Athaliah would better be able to explain the history and knowledge contained within the books ancient pages. Perhaps they would glean some new knowledge for how to settle the waves brewing within the herd. Dawson believed that any knowledge they did receive would be helpful in one way or another, even if only to better understand their origins. Ears buzzing as Athaliah opened the book, the Shoal squeezed his eyes shut, suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of dizziness.
Upon opening his eyes, he was confused for a split second before understanding began to seep into him. The Oracle's words confirmed what he had been thinking. The pair of Oracles led them out of the Temple, and Dawson found himself peering curiously around at their surroundings. Were they actually in the past, where they could interact, like the last vision, or was it just a memory? Once again, Athaliah answered his question as she stepped, and her body seemingly melted through one of the bustling horses without even a blink.
Stumbling after the Oracle, his gaze swung wildly around. They were definitely seaside, though he didn't recognize any landmarks. Watching with amazement and curiosity, he realized there was no feuding, not animosity, no guarded scowls, no mistrusting gazes to be seen between anyone. It looked peaceful, and Dawson felt his heart yearning for his herd, in the current times, could look as serene as the scene they were immersed in.
Turning to Athaliah, he tilted his head slightly "Did you know we would be coming to this point, did you know she would permit us to view her history?" Actually, this was much better, and way more exciting than what he had originally thought the best case scenario would be.

Urbi;Talori | Oracle the less you care, the happier you'll be When Athaliah stepped beside her and smiled Urbi knew she wasn't going anywhere that day. She smiled, but inside she cried as she knew what was likely going to happen when her eyes laid upon the ancient looking book. She knew she wasn't going to get a chance to visit a Cleric that day.
Once they had been transported and the familiar time traversing tingle was gone from from her brain Urbi looked around. She had seen countless visions any of which were difficult to decipher between past and future. Future she was more comfortable with being the blessing she had been gifted since birth. Past was one she was personally still getting comfortable with. She had been subjected to strange visions within the temple, but only brief moments. Never like this.
She chuckled at the Kirin's reaction to their situation. They were clearly not pleased. As she looked around, Urbi felt that to her, this felt normal. The strange animosity that was felt in the heart of Talori was completely absent here, despite the lack of unicorns and common horses that was now seen mingling around.
Knowing she had actual control over being there, Urbi felt a desire to not look for important clues at that moment, she wanted to see what the Vendors were selling during this time, so she wandered closer to some stores to see what they would contain. It was not her mission after all.

Meredith Talori - The Shoal [Gatherer/Explorer]
......
More familiar faces had joined their party. There were only a few that she didn't recognize, but none of that mattered to the grey mare right now. All that rushes through her mind was the excitement of unknown. What where they going to do?
When the book opened, strange things happened, air shifted around. She closed her oceanic blue eyes.
And when they opened again, they were met with bright sunlight. She was not familiar with her surrounding. It confused her for a bit, they went somewhere yet they have not moved.
"It is by her will that we revisit her time" she heard Athaliah say.
"We're in the past?!" She said, not even trying to hide her excitement. "Awesome..." followed shortly after.
Meredith followed the group, looking around curiously at her environment. But the true shock came to her when Athaliah passed through one of the passing horses. A small excited gasp came out of her mouth.
They were ghost! Or were we the ghost? Well it didn't matter to her since this was one of the coolest experiences ever!

Maybe Soana had woken up too late. She remembered the discussion just briefly of the others taking the book here. No hard agreement had come from her side to tag along, of course, but at that point no more pressing issues were on her schedule so she found herself following anyway. In all, just a few scant words had been spoken from her, and she had heard little more than a few sentences back.
But here she was, in front of the temple, waiting for something. A ceremony? An appraisal? Was this cleric here to value the book, or had the others already worked out a price and she wasn't included? A few of the group seemed to know the mare who walked out, or at least showed some form of respect to her.
And then she spoke, and one long ear chose that moment to twitch and rotate. Soana could swear no more than ten words had been spoken, to concise and unassuming that she hadn't thought to listen.
Soana let out just a small noise of confusion. She considered asking for the old mare to repeat herself, considered it for just a few seconds before brushing the idea away. Then her head was swimming, dipping down against the feeling of her vision slipping as liquid past her eyes.
A new land stood before her when her eyes had opened. The old mare spoke, the others were taking in the scenery as if it were nothing more interesting than stepping through the door to a museum. One mare, the only one she could really recognize, remarked as she trotted past Soana.
"We're in the past?! Awesome..."
Again, Soana sounded her confusion. She felt as if she were missing something, some agenda or planner that had been passed out. She had skipped the part where everyone introduced themselves, where the old mare leading them had said who she was, where they were going, and what all of this was.
"Uh..." Soana spoke to no one in particular. Most were heading forward, or wandering away. All she could do was trail after the energetic mare towards the back. "Did I miss something?"

mutiara Of the horses milling about Inci, one catches your eye. She's a curious sort of mare, one with long tattoos trailing down her skin. It's such a rarity to see something so permanent (even in your time) that it stands out, especially since the idea is commonly that the past is more conservative than the present. She walks forwards and seems to spy Athaliah. Her gaze flickers with something akin to recognition and then she speaks to the Oracle.
"Athaliah, are you coming to the Surge with me?" She cocks her head.
"No, not today. My bones are too brittle for such a trek. Do you know how to get there?" The Oracle asks the unnamed mare. She shakes her head and gestures in the distance where the stoney maze of aqueducts lies in the distance.
"That is as far as I'm directed to go. Bahiri said it was at the source, but..." She trails off, then looks beyond Athaliah. Unlike everyone else in Inci, it seems this mare can see you all. She looks instantly curious, brown eyes lighting up in interest. "Who are these people?"
Athaliah turns around and gestures to all of you, "Friends. They'll accompany you to the Surge. You'll need their help." The mystery mare (impossibly) seems to grow even more interested, her body positively humming with excitement.
"They look like they'll be a good crew. I'm Mutiara." Then, she turns to Athaliah once more. "Do you know what Bahiri's sending us to get?" Athaliah nods her head, but doesn't say anything more, merely stepping back.
Mutiara seems to understand that the conversation is over and so she turns to you all. "Come on, then, there's no time to waste!"

Dawson | Shoal
Before Dawson could receive an answer from Athaliah, one of the memories from the past looks in their direction. Familiarity fills the mares' eyes, and Dawson finds himself confused and curious. It almost seemed like this ghost could see them, though that couldn't possibly be true. His gaze flitted over the mares form, noticing with surprise the tattoos that were etched onto her body. Before he could try to get a closer look, the mare spoke, and to Athaliah. Blinking rapidly, the Shoal's gaze rapidly drifted from the newcomer, to Athaliah. How could this apparition see Athaliah??
He would not have a chance to question Athaliah however, for the Oracle began speaking to the mystery mare.
Ears pricked, Dawson drank in the words, trying to understand just what exactly was going on. Bahiri… Another question he had no answer to. And then the mare's gaze shifts to him and the rest of the group. Meeting her eyes, Dawson realized she was just as curious about them as he was of her. From the sounds of it, Athaliah was no longer guiding them, rather they would be following... Mutiara.
"I'm Dawson." his voice is almost as confused sounding as he feels. Nodding to Mutiara's next words, Dawson stuffed his growing questions down, and dips his head to Athaliah before turning to Mutiara. He was tempted to ask just what they were going to get, but since it seemed no one knew the answer, he kept his mouth shut.
All would be revealed in time, he supposed. For now, he trotted up beside the mare, eager to find out what the next leg of their journey would uncover.
"What exactly is this Surge that we're going to?"

Even as Soana watched, the horse that had wandered to peruse the stalls walked through another. The apparition, the local, was browsing the wares themself and had no reaction to the sudden intrusion into their own body.
And yet, on Soana's other side, a mare trotted up to the old mare leading Soana's little group and began to chat with her. There were traces of names in their conversation, names that meant nothing to Soana. A 'Surge' too, something important to them that Soana couldn't even begin to guess about.
Not understanding what they were talking about was common enough to Soana. What she didn't get was what their conversation meant for this world they had found themselves at. Was there something special about this particular horse? Or could the old mare decide at will who saw them and who didn't? Were they all visible, but no one was reacting? Or did this one look like she was talking to herself to everyone else?
The blonde looked briefly over the new horse, then cast her gaze across the city around them at the townsfolk going about their daily lives. She pursed her lips, expression souring, and carefully shuffled her hooves to draw her closer to the excitable mare at her side. Soana's tail was closer to her body as well, her eyes flicking from horse to horse, ghost to ghost.
"I really wish someone would just tell me what was going on," she mumbled. It was the most she had spoken in one time to any of them, even if her words were low and not directed at anyone in particular. "Stringing me along might be funny for the rest of you. But I'm not too happy."

Meredith Talori - The Shoal [Gatherer/Explorer]
......
With her eyes darting from here to there, Meredith didn't gather much of the conversation that had happened behind her. Her eyes and mind were more focussed on the surrounding, and asking herself many questions thqt probqbly will remain unanswered.
But when she turned around to check on the others, her sight noticed another horse that wasn't part of their original party. Yet, this mare, could see them clear as day. In all honesty, Meredith wanted to go up to the mare and boop her nose to see if she was a ghost or not. But if Athaliah was confident in her, then she was too. Even if she were a ghost.
But her curious eyes also fell on someone, Soana. She had seen the mare before in her previous expedition to the Temple of Time where they had found the relic Mesitafi. The grey mare had often ignored her grumpy complaints and glares then, but now the flaxen mare seemed more lot than annoyed. Meredith slowed her pace a little, at the point that she walked right beside Soana. She herself didn't know much of what was going on, but she wanted to help either way.
"Okay so i think what is going on is that we're back in time, somehow, and we're now going to Surge, i think? I'm not sure myself honestly. But let's keep our heads up, smile a little and let's just see what will happen." She said cheerly.

Urbi;Talori | Oracle the less you care, the happier you'll be The Oracle was fascinated by the old trinkets and wares of the ancient shops. It was also fascinating to see so little potion options when in the current day there was a large abundant. Getting lost in the old ways, Urbi's attention was caught back to the group when she heard an unusual voice and Athaliah responding. Trotting back she was just catching the last of their words. A slight giggle caught on Urbi's lips as she took in the faces around the group. It was mostly shock she caught. Personally, Urbi was used to such strange visions now but admittedly being taken on an actual mission by someone from within the vision was more peculiar. But listening to Athaliah's tone, Urbi nodded her head in understanding, the exhaustion finally lifting a little from her bones. She trusted the older Oracle with her life and she found herself quite excited for more exploring and better yet, exploring with a purpose! She found it comforting when this adorable mare accepted all Athaliah had to say, it was nice that another equine understood Athaliah did most things cryptically, but generally with a purpose. So with a grin she happily followed the new mystery equine and looked back at the others with excitement matching Mutiara's, "Oh the possibilities are endless with this mission!" She said aloud cheerily, enjoying knowing that this vision had a real purpose, instead of just having to study various moments in Aquorian time.

mutiara "It is good to meet you all," she looks curiously at the kirin in the group, but doesn't judge. Athaliah had chosen them to be here just as much as anyone else, and so, they could be trusted. "The Surge is down river, near the sea. Many of the aqueducts let out near there. Presumably, we've got something to find. Or, at least that is what I've been told."
Mutiara begins to lead them through the city, walking until the grass greens out and the roads disappear. In minutes, you can hear the sound of rushing water. "Many things are lost to the River of Time... Bahiri sends me here often to see what turns up, but this time it seemed more urgent."
There's something for them to retrieve, but given the ferocity of the river, the inherent danger of diving in that area, it makes this mission a group effort. "While we walk, perhaps I can answer some questions? I'm not the most knowledgeable, but I like to think I'm a good talker?"

Soana | Shoal
The grey mare had paced herself to trot closer, tail sweeping happily side to side, ears up, and eyes wide. The energy she displayed constantly was infectious, and at times not the good kind of infectious, but closer to an infection with how harsh it could wear on Soana's frustrations.
Still, Soana felt her face heat under the attention and she turned her head away. Rather than look at the mare beside her, she watched the rushing river come into view.
She had thought the 'Surge' to be some deeper meaning. Only looking at it did she realize that they had meant surging water in the literal sense.
The grey mare was talking to her as they walked, trying to cheer her up. In a way, she did. She had at least answered one of Soana's questions, that at least the two of them were on similar levels of lost here.
"Honestly," Soana said. She had cooled her face enough to turn towards the mare, then flicked her head and ear to get her blonde mane out of her eyes. "I've done a lot of jobs over the years. If I was called to work by being pushed down a hole and told to look for a holy coffee mug to fix, that would be the last time they could ever contract me for work. These holy folk just need better foreman." It was only after her low reply to the other mare that one of the horses ahead of her spoke up. Soana was immediately struck by how much she sounded like a tour guide.
"Here's a question," Soana said, speaking up loud enough to hear up front for once. "Just, why? Why call all of us here to pick garbage out of a river?" Post: 4 | WC: 296

Urbi;Talori | Oracle the less you care, the happier you'll be Excitement tingled in her fins as they began an adventure through time. With the mention of meetings, Urbi realised she hadn't actually done so. "It is wonderful to meet you! I'm Urbi. A new Oracle in the time of 1701." She told her with a great smile.
When she mentioned knowing they had a mission but not knowing exactly what it was, Urbi had to laugh. "I know that feeling all too well." She commented back. Life of an oracle was certainly one deep spiral into not knowing what time was, so she knew better than to ask anymore specific questions there. She couldn't stop herself glaring back at the grumpy equine as they sullied her job. "The life of an Oracle, although confusing a lot of the time, is a rewarding one." She tossed back to them. She scoffed when they asked why they each had been chosen to come along on the mission."I think it's fairly obvious to pick that our new friend here, had no hoof in getting us all here. That's a role for someone of a higher power." She said in response.
The mention of Bahiri alone put a pep in Urbi's step. Looking to their guide her eyes bright, she asked her questions. "Are you from this time we're in right now?" Urbi had recently acquired some body paint and she wanted to start placing time specific patterns on herself to try and keep track of when and where she was. "You mentioned Bahiri, are working with them? It's a name I've only learnt of recently, myself, but I know they work alongside our Goddess, Cascade. Have you met her?" Then looking around there was still one question Urbi had unanswered from her last group oracle effort. "Do the Barrier mountains exist in this time?" She asked squinting her eyes to where she roughly thought they could be.

Soana's face scrunched. Her ear flicked.
The other horse had approached herself and the grey mare. One of the two holy figures, an older mare, dark and grey and decidedly more refined in appearance than Soana herself.
But Soana's face had scrunched when she began to speak. Apparently her hearing was a lot better than Soana had figured, picking up the few muttered words Soana had spared with the young mare at her side.
No sooner had the Oracle begun to talk to Soana before her attention was drawn away. She had first trotted towards the pair, blonde and grey, then turned and headed to the fore of the pack, where the native of this time had taken to giving them the tour of the Surge.
Keeping close to the grey, Soana circled the edge of the group, looking out over the rushing waters beyond. Parts of her were curious, as visible in the way she glanced up and down the length of the river that she could see. And then, as quickly as her curiosity had shown itself, it was gone. Her head turned away from the sight, ears twitching as they angled away from Urbi and whoever it was she was speaking to. They were talking of names that she had no knowledge of.
If it were up to Soana, she would have been back where they had started, perusing the architecture and the workmanship of the wares in the market. But she didn't dare stray from the group, for risk of finding herself stuck in a place no one could see her. So she settled at the edge of the group and watched.

mutiara Mutiara listens to Urbi's questions good-naturedly, "I am from this time, and I'm good friends with Bahiri, yes," she says kindly, trying to catch all of Urbi's questions. "And the Barrier Mountains? Yes. They are... a necessity." The mare says softly, as if reminded of a horrible scourge. She looks away from Urbi and back towards the coming Surge. The rushing water. Their mission.
"I can dive, because of my fins, but I cannot do so without help." To the hippocampus in the group she looks. "Anyone that is like me, one of Cascade's creations, should dive. I do not know what we're searching for, only that there is something here."
She then turns to the horses and sole kirin in the group. She motions to the stone walls that surround the grates running down into the river. "There are corridors within the walls for maintenance and what not. Also places where items the Surge collects are deposited, you all can go check there."
She points at the archway into the riverside structures. "Bahiri said that this item was requested by Cascade herself. She said it has the goddess's mark on it."
You wrack your brain. What is symbolic of your god?
"You look like a faithful lot, perhaps you'll recognize it." Without further ado, Mutiara dives into the surging water.
Any hippocampi are welcome to dive! Some items that can be found scouring the rushing water include: a skull believed to belong to one of the mythical hydra, a pair of rusted shields, a gleaming silver dagger (obviously recently lost to the river), and a gleaming golden short sword.
Any non-hippocampi are welcome to explore the structures on the riverside. There is a collection vat within all of them that contains items sifted from the river and the aqueducts that empty around here. Some items that can be found in these vats are: a broken mortar and pestle, obviously discarded; a cornerstone inlaid with a Qotoki, probably from a building that had collapsed into the river during a flood or something else of that nature; an almost full set of rusted armor with a helmet that mimics a dragon; and several tattered remains of leather-bound books.

Urbi;Talori | Oracle the less you care, the happier you'll be The Oracle was excited by Mutiara's words. Just hearing that she knew Bahiri meant she was closer to really learning who she was. The Barrier mountains threw her off however. So whenever this was, it still wasn't far back enough to be when the Barrier mountains didn't exist... Urbi brought out her notepad from her saddlebags and jotted down the keywords Mutiara had said. "Bahiri, friend, Barrier mountains, crucial, the Surge." Then other such details from around her to mark the time they were in.
Urbi's concentration snapped back when Mutiara mentioned diving and finding the item they had been sent to find. Bracing herself, Urbi first watched the mare dive in then quickly followed. Mentally enjoying how she was now swimming, with her tail out, in a completely different time than to the one she existed in.
Looking about, Urbi was drawn to something that clearly didn't belong. A pair of rusty old shields that had obviously sat in this place for quite some time. She went in for a closer look but was first distracted by a skull. At first she assumed it was just a regular large aquatic mammals skull, but noted direct differences and gasped as she actually took in the size of the thing. A Hydra skull?! Dislodging it from its place in the river, Urbi dragged it along to the rusted shields to get a better look, determined to find the symbol of Cascade. Whatever that might be...

Dawson | Shoal
Dawson listened silently as the others conversed, his eyes straying from the path they were walking, instead taking in the surroundings of the past. He didn't care to listen to complaints he could hear back in the present, this was a rare opportunity to view the past in absolute truth, nothing able to be changed or altered as many tended to do in tomes and scrolls. Drinking in everything he could see, the stallion followed the group, his ears catching Mutiara's words about the Barrier Mountains. Turning towards her, he was about to ask why they had been a necessity at this time, when the rushing sounds of a river cut his thoughts off.
They were here.
Instead of asking her a question, he listened to the mare as she gave them directions. Looking over at Krein, he figured his friend was likely more than happy to not have to dive into the water. Nodding to his scaled friend, Dawson dove into the water, feeling his legs give way to his fins as the water rushed over his body. Blinking underwater, he steadily begins to sink lower and lower to get to the riverbed, taking in the items that lay strewn about. Looking up, he watched as Urbi found something, and drug it over to.. something else. From his distance he couldn't make out anything other than it being very obviously rusted.
Realizing he wouldn't unearth anything just by watching Urbi and her discoveries, Dawson began to search around, eyes peeled. Glinting from the faint rays of sunlight that were still able to penetrate this deep, Dawson caught sight of two shining weapons, that he was guessing were bladed weapons at the very least. Swimming over to them, the shoal found his assumptions were correct. Laying close to one another, though he doubted they were from the same origin, was a silver dagger, and a golden short sword. Dawson couldn't see any sigils or marking that would identify them as holy relics, but perhaps there would be something under the small layer of grime and algae that had begun to accumulate on their surfaces. Grabbing the dagger in his mouth, he grasped the shortsword in his teke, and began to swim back to the surface.

Soana had waited for the odd horse and the Oracle to stop speaking. It took them a while, when the native of the time turned towards the group as a whole and addressed them all.
An item with Cascade's mark on it. Something, either beneath the rushing waters, at the bottom of the dangerous precipice, or hidden in a dank sewer, none of which were welcome options to Soana. She did enjoy water, she swam pretty often, dove for pearls whenever she was out at the coast.
But Soana was a horse. One look at the rushing water, just listening to the monstrous roar it let out, was enough to tell her than a horse alone could do little to fight that monster.
So, she split from the gray mare at a slow trot, taking her way to one of the arches of stone and darkness. After the entrance, grates from above let a filter of sunlight guide her way, down and down until the rushing water was a constant echo and she could hear none of the chatter from above. Where she found herself, water slipped between two stone paths, occasionally emptying through grates into deeper tunnels or funnelling back into the river itself. Soana carefully, delicately, began to scoot alongside the water to a place where 'items', as the other mare had referred to them as, were gathering into a clattering ball of trash. The exposed parts of the path were slick and smooth from an eternity of water teasing at their surface. Each step felt slick, causing her to dig her hooves into the stone to keep from getting too close to any water that might hide a deceptive current.
One thing had almost immediately caught her eye.
There was a marble stone brushing against the grate with the rest of the trash, inconsequential at first glance, unless one had the trained eye of an architect. Soana could tell it was a piece of a building, some lost architecture, barely wider than her neck and thinner than her hoof. It may have come off a building, a pillar, whatever, all Soana knew was that it likely held some secret to ancient architecture, a secret she could use.
That, and it had a carving of a sea creature, a Qotoki on it. It could be her consol.

checkpoint!
As soon as you had entered this time—this vision. You are leaving it. It is the touch of Soana's teke around the cornerstone that seems to do the trick, but anyone that has retrieved an item takes it back with them.
Urbi's teke grabs onto the shields and the hydra's skull just as the familiar tug of a vision ending returns. When she blinks open her eyes, all three items rest at her feet.
Dawson keeps hold of both weapons and tugs them up from the River of Time just as Urbi and Soana had done with their chosen items.
Mutiara is no where to be seen, but in her place, Athaliah is there once more, a familiar, knowing constant. She takes one look at the cornerstone Soana had found and nods. "Well done, you've returned Mesereti to the Temple." She grasps the corner stone in her teke, gently tugging it away from Soana.
Then she turns to the group. "You've done well, take what else you've found home with you. Surely there will be a use for it."
Congratulations on completing Talori 803: Storybook ! Rewards will be distributed at the end of chapter.
As for your plot, you are welcome to take one (1) of any of the items home with your character for free. I'll drop a list of them in your discord chat so you can choose.
That being said, please feel free to post your wrap ups!
