IW: Everybody
Once they had been freed, Kelby shouted out to the others. "Are you all okay?" they called, looking over the group. "I'm trained as a Medic, although I might not be one." Thankfully, they say no injuries, other than some bruises from the tight grip of the vines. Nodding, they turned to the rest of the group. "I'm glad we're all okay. Let's figure out where-"
The ground shifted beneath her. With all of her hooves on the ground, she didn't get thrown, but her balance was not good. "What was that?" she said, pulling her longsword and rapier from their sheaths where she had put them, and readying to fight. Was a Blessing from her Goddess being used against her? Would the Earth Mother condone using one of her blessings to fight her own children?
Another wave, this one more violent than before. This time Kelby did stumble, losing their balance and moving a few paces to their left. The vines, too, started to come after them again, and Kelby reared, slamming their front hooves down and putting a layer of frost down on the nearest vines. They pinned their ears, and turned to the other Valkyries.
"Ok, it's time to go," she said, nodding to everyone there. "Blessings at the ready, and we're going to need to move fast." She thought quickly, starting to prepare herself for a run. "Ok, let's partner up. Do whatever you can to make sure your partner is safe. Alvane, take Icabod, protect him. Icabod, watch Alvane's back."
She turned to Fay and York. York was decently speedy, but not overly so. And Fay, well- she wasn't the speediest on land. She turned to her best friend. "York and Fay- you're together. Stay behind Alvane and Icabod, and set the pace. Fay, flying might be a good idea for you, but stay close- you'll be our eyes in the skies. York, stop any vines from getting to Fay."
She then turned to Delta, her best friend. "Delta, you and I are well-used to fighting together, and our blessings are pretty useful in stopping the vines. We'll take up the rear, and let everyone else keep moving."
They turned to the group. "Move fast, keep your wits about you. Let's move!" Moving into position, on Delta's right, she nodded, and took off. Hopefully they would get out of this without anyone getting seriously hurt.

York | War Forged | Scout
Once the Council member began speaking, he, along with Delta and Fay, grouped up as commanded, and although the forest began to calm itself from its ruthless attack, York was far too paranoid to want to sheath his broadsword, and his paranoia wasn't kept hidden. Though his head faced Icabod, his ears kept twitching behind him and around the area and his body tensed with energy, readying to hop to the side if a vine comes slithering back to get at them. He could barely hear what the Council member was saying, but lucky for him, he was snapped back to reality when his name was called, and being the kissass he is, he did what he was told to do with haste, stepping towards the front with Alvane, noticing that she had taken the lead rather than him. York's heart managed to revert to a more stable pace, feeling more comfortable that the group was taking more precautions while navigating the forest.
But his mind spoke too soon. Not even a few steps away where they were regrouping, the vines returned, and for a plant that doesn't bear a face, he sensed that they are angrier than before.
"Oh no..." the young stallion's voice whispered worriedly, a hoof taking a step back, "Icabod, they're coming back."
Before he could even properly react, the ground began to quiver, then escalating into a sudden eruption. The first shake made York sway to his side, his legs stomping to plant his hooves into the ground to stabilize himself, but like Kelby, the second one tossed him off to the other side, briefly falling against the ground, stabbing his sword into the dirt as his legs frantically kicking to roll himself back to his side and get himself back up on his feet.
Kelby began speaking once more, developing yet another strategy. York commends her for her bold heart, especially now due to the fact that Mother Kaia's land is trying to kill them. His heart began to race, and despite not being able to hear most of Kelby's plan, he saw how the others partnered up and assumed that he was with Fay. "You're good right?" York asked, making sure the medic's health is fine both physically and mentally, "We've gotta get moving, Fay. I'll keep the vines off of you for as long as I need to, let's go!" With that, the stallion ran, his sword at against side next to his quiver, the blade facing his rear so he wouldn't risk injuring one of the other members. When a vine got too close, he'd leap to the side and cleanly slash through the flora, focusing on keeping Fay safe, as promised, before worrying about the ones coming after him. York was definitely terrified out of his mind, but if this meant looking useful and skilled in front of higher ranks, he would risk his life to flex his bravery.

Icabod | Stone CircleEverything felt like it was settling down. One of the mares approached him with a rock. It was a very intriguing rock. Then her description reminded him of something. "That doesn't sound like anything too suspicious. I'd guess there's a golem in there. Seen plenty like it. Not a huge fan of 'em myself, but it's a great find to be sure," he smiled at her. Then they began walking forward into the forest.
Alas, the calm was not something they would get to savor. Icabod pinned his ears and pressed his hooves deep into the ground. Then a loud and powerful rumbling hit the group. Of course they couldn't get a break. He righted himself in time to notice the vines reappearing. Then Kelby spoke out with orders. Icabod glared at her briefly, he should be the one making the orders, but she had a point and they had no time so he did not argue.
"I suggest all of you run like hell and don't look back! Keep your partner safe! Fend off the vines if they reach you!" Icabod yelled back at each of them. He quickly glanced over to make sure Alvane was ready then he sprinted forward as fast as he could. He hadn't run like that in quite some time. Every step was torture, though. He could feel the vines, they would not let up. Something had to be after them. "Gods be damned, show yourself you coward!" the stallion screamed into the seemingly empty woods. He knew something, or someone, was out there. But, he could not feel it. Why couldn't he feel anything other than the damned vines?

Fay War-forged - Medic
......
Her mind was still trying to lay out what just had happened to them. What was happening here? Why can't there just be a day without any thing happening? The medic had enough of it, she just wanted some peace and a cup of cinnamon tea.
But the tea had to wait, cause what happened next was unexpected to say the least. Though the vines were cut down, they rapidly grew back. But before she could react, Fay suddenly got thrown into the air due to the a large rock rocking the forest. If it wasn't for her wings, she surely would have made a nasty fall.
All her senses said that she had to flee, and fast. But Kelby's plan shook her up from her flight reaction. She nodded as she agreed to her plan. "I'm good." she replied to York, though she tried to hide the fear in her voice. With a quick nod to him she quickly flew, staying close to his side and the short-sword that she got from Alvane to her other side in case any vine decided to get even get close to her.

Alvane || Valkyrie The mare smirked devilishly at Delta’s comment. “Is that so?” she called back “You know, I was thinking of getting another sword. Maybe even a scyth. Though maybe it's not much of my style” She said with slight sarcasm. Though someone who didn’t know her too well would think otherwise. Alvane swished her tail playfully at Delta as she turned around. Then she saw them. The vines, they were coming back. The mare readied her sword. Raised above her head and they riggled and writhed towards her. She swung at them. Cutting them into salad. Though it didn’t seem to stop them. The ground rumbled beneath Alvane’s feet. Her ears falling flat again. “Time to move.” Kelby started to bark more orders and the blue haired mare couldn’t help but look at her Shield Sister. She waited till she stopped talking. “Kelby, darling. Shut the heck up and run.”“Delta!” Alvane yelled back. “Burn this bitch to the ground” A grim smile lined her face as she trotted along side Icabod, before bursting into a canter. Keeping his speed but also wanting to make sure the others weren’t left behind. She sped up to reach just in front of the council member. Alvane caught them in the corner of her eye. Shapes keeping their speed with them. She knew better now than to bolt off on her own again. The blue haired mare was possibly one of the only things keeping them from death if they were to come across a challenger. She kept her wits about her. Charging into the forest, in hopes of reaching the other side. Post 5 || 275

DELTA
Delta was relieved to say the least when Icabod reacted so passively to her finding a Golem Stone. Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm her nerves, gazing at the arrowhead in her teke. Icabod had said that there was a Golem in the stone, but from what Delta had learned about Lindworms from Froya's little brother, Chirin, she didn't think that that was the case. Chirin's Golem Stone was a Carbon, Iron and Garnet hoop earring. The earring was still in the colts ear whenever Gaster was present.
Were they just invisible?
"That's… not quite how it works," Said the female voice, answering Delta's unasked question.
-Amusement-
The voice startled the mare a bit and she had to make herself keep walking so as not to hold up anyone behind her. Tucking the arrowhead back under the shoulder plate she let her eyes wander as the voice continued, "The stone is merely an anchor. It ties me to you and you to me. Apart from being fashioned from my hide, its is simply just a rock, albeit an important one. A Key Stone if you will." she explained. Delta hummed thoughtfully to herself, contemplating the Golems words.
A jolt of alarm that wasn't hers shot through the Valkyrie,
"BRACE!" Came the thunderous order from the voice. The Earth suddenly pitched beneath her hooves and sent her slamming into a nearby tree. She quickly regained her footing and cast her gaze behind her and she filled with panic. The vines were racing towards them from where they had been cut.
"Run!" Commanded the voice, urgency and concern clear in her tone.
Delta's ears were ringing from the impact with the tree. She did manage to catch Kelby's orders and the silver mare pinned her ears in irritation as she ran beside her friend, "How about you shut the hell up and just RUN!? Plans won't work this time!" She shouted. Her prosthetic leg was in agony. She was still recovering and the weight of her armor was only bearable if she was walking or trotting. At a full sprint, Delta could feel her right leg tremble as it threatened to fail her.
And then it did.
She barreled into the ground as if her legs had been pulled from beneath her. She managed to get one hoof under her before she felt thick, thorny vines wrap around her back legs and haul her backwards, away from the group.
She set her back legs ablaze, the vines burning away but leaving deep gashes in her flesh that would surely scar.
She was sick of this shit.
Gritting her teeth, smoke billowed from her nostrils, ears flat against her neck. She was livid. And it wasn't just her who was angry.
The earth beside them rumbled and churned, the ground turning into a river of upturned bushes and small trees. Everything seemed to go quiet around the Valkyrie as the very wrath of Kaia erupted from the forest floor in a flurry of dirt and debris.
Massive white stone jaws studded with jagged Opalite teeth crashed down onto the attacking vines mere moments before they reached the Valkyrie, ripping them out from the earth and then throwing them hundreds of feet away.
The beast placed its body between the vines and the retreating horses, acting as a barricade, jaws parting to unleash a furious roar that would terrify even the most battle-hardened soldier.
"Go! I'll keep them away for as long as I can!" The Lindworms voice came as an echo to the silver mares ears, hearing it both in her head and in the open air. Delta took this chance to pull herself up and bolted as fast as her prosthetic would let her. She could feel the blood running down her back legs as well as the tremors caused by the Golem's footsteps. She wasn't as far behind the group as she had thought, but even with a brutal swipe of the Lindworm's tail that had actually made a small clearing in the forest, the vines still lashed at her hooves.
Never again was she ever setting hoof in any forest of Kaia's making.
