Hawke Stone Circle | War-Forged
"Do not cry wolf cub. For when the light leaves, the dark fears you."
As impassive as they have ever been, Hawke doesn't appear to be too concerned, their features fallen together into one damn good poker face. Not like they have been known for their emotions, anyway.
Well, like many other times, they don't appear too concerned at first.
Hawke does consider this to be as much of a normal day as ever for them, albeit a rather boring job--in their eyes at least. But they do suppose they would prefer it to be boring over something... More exciting. Indeed, it's less likely for things to go wrong that way.
Carefully watching over everything, Hawke finds themselves a nice spit to watch and take it all in, having paused in their own attempts to help out here and there. Put that there. Place that here. No, no, I said put that there. Kaia help us. Simple enough for a day's work, they supposed.
Frankly, they think nothing of it at least, their senses picking up on the faint scent of smoke in the air. They interest had perked, but they hadn't paid it too much attention till the wanna-be messenger plummeted from the air. And if there was one thing to be noted, they didn't need a sixth sense to pick up on their state.
They find themselves taking a step forwards. Fire? They didn't need to hear it twice.
"Everyone who can help, get moving! Now!" They call, their prosthetic creaking at the sudden surge of movement forward.
Much needed crops simply could not be lost, and they weren't going to be the one responsible for that. And, to be honest, that kind of trouble is not something they think they could talk their way out of.

Addeva strained as she pulled a large crate full of baking supplies, her density control causing her to leave small scuffs in the earth where her hooves had been. A large stallion had asked if she wanted help, and while the young mare probably...should have accepted...she and her pride turned him down. Or was it just stubbornness? Nevertheless, the Valkyrie gave one last huff as she finished dragging the crate of flour and sugar to an elderly woman's little shop from her cart. "All finished, ma'am!" She trotted over to the lady, who didn't look a day under a century old, still catching her breath.
A toothless smile spread across the graying face of the old baker, "Thank you so much young man..." "But I'm a--" "Here, have a cookie for your troubles" Addy's eyes widened as she took the cookie from the old lady's teke. Oh sweet baby Kaia, it smelled so good. She resisted the urge to shove the whole thing in her mouth. "Thank you so much! Have a good day ma'am!" Addeva turned and walked towards where she thought she saw the dark pelt of Alyshia, nibbling on the top 10, no, top 5 best cookie she's ever had. Casper looked to her and gave a questioning mrrrp? to try to see if the zonkey would share, but she only responded with "No, not for kitties." Casper huffed and trudged with his big paws next to her in a pout.
She took a big bite before she saw that a scout practically high fived the ground with his face. He was yelling about something, so Addeva unceremoniously shoved the rest of the cookie in her mouth (gods she had to get more later) and galloped closer to catch the rest of his warning. A fire?! Her head turned towards the direction the scout pointed to, seeing billows of grey rise from the earth in the distance and the hint of smoke in the air.
Hawke's call did not fall on deaf ears. Addeva immediately leaped and rushed towards the blaze, Casper not too far behind her. She would do whatever she could to stop the inferno from taking more crops, the livelihood of so many people depend on it. Word count: 375| Post #1

The day had gone exceptionally well so far. Chirin had been entertaining the thought of a visit to the small town of Taenos for some time. He had thought that, with winter coming, today would be a good day to trade some of his Apana fleece blankets. His charges were traveling with him this time, their pristine, white, cotton-like fleece easy to pick out against the greens and browns of the surrounding structures and grasses. His dog, Maple, was also among those following him to the town, providing the colt with much appreciated assistance.
He had managed to trade all his blankets and even got himself a few bits and bobs here and there. As he looked around from his place beside his Apanas, who were grazing peacefully, he noticed a few horses that seemed familiar to him. First, there was a tall, dark unicorn mare. Her mane and tail were long and her coat was speckled with white dots, reminding Chirin of the night sky. The interesting thing about her was that her chest seemed to glow bright blue from the inside out. She interested him and he wondered how she got her chest to do that, since it didn't look like a tattoo to him. Another, much smaller, striped mare drew his attention. She was shorter than he was and didn't look that much older than him either. That didn't stop her from helping out an older mare with her cart of baking supplies.
The Snow Leopards following them both caused his brain to immediately think “Valkyrie”.
They were probably working, so he decided not to bother them. There were a few others he had seen in passing but their names were unknown to him.
Returning his attention to his flock, he watched as some of the young rams head-butted each other playfully. A large, quick moving shadow passing overhead distracted him once more and he followed it's trajectory as the Pegasus Scout landed on the dry earth with a heavy thud, breath heaving from their chest in an attempt to catch it.
Chirin tilted his head, curios as to why a Scout had rushed here so urgently. Listening, the colt's eyes widened with alarm as the Scout shouted news of a wild fire on the edge of the farmlands.
Turning to the direction of the fields, he lifted his head and sniffed the air. He could now smell and see smoke billowing into the air. That was the only direction he could get back home without getting lost. If that fire reached the forest Onea would burn.
High winds had been kicking up dust devils on the tundras all day. It would only feed the fires.
Hie whipped his head around as an old horse started shouting, telling those who could help to do so. Chirin's hooves itched to run and help, but how could he?
He was answered, not with words, but with emotions that were not his own. Calming – Determined – Enquiring
Chirin would be helping. He focused on a possible solution, not simply rushing in without a plan, “Okay!” He mumbled to himself, “What kills fire? Water. Where can you get water? Easy, no where. We are not near any rivers. How else do you put out a fire?” the colt wracked his brain, “Ummm.... you? Throw dirt on it? Stomp it out?” He considered it, but his size and weight made him susceptible to easy burns and damage. ....... But Gaster was bigger. He could dig up the earth at the fires edge and force it to suffocate without something to burn!
But what could he do?
Wait.
Ice!! ICE WAS WATER! He could freeze the ground! The fires heat would melt the ice and make everything soggy! Fire can't burn soggy!
Quickly locating a local farmer in the town, the colt pleaded with the stallion to allow him to pen his Apana in the backyard wile he aided with putting out the fire. There was only a moment of contemplation before the stallion agreed and Chirin's flock and Maple were safe inside the fence.
Wasting no time, Chirin turned on his heel and shot into a breakneck sprint. He caught up with the other horses in no time, keeping pace as they all rushed to put out a fire they couldn't even see yet.
The colt's heart was beating out of his chest, Fear, Worry, Hope and Doubt battling for dominance.
There was a sudden and aggressive ripple of Anger from the beast that shadowed Chirin's hooves. The colt wondered why then realized that Gaster must have just noticed that the farmlands were on fire. The ground shook and the earth cracked.
The edge of the wild field right of the group erupted with a deafening roar as the Beast Below ripped it's self from rock and soil. The creature was of Carbon, Iron, Diamond and Garnet, standing 60 feet tall. Massive claws tore empty rivers into the earth as it effortlessly scaled a rocky bluff and out of sight in the direction of the smoke, it's ear-splitting roars full of rage.
As the colt ran he shouted to the others “Kaia's lands are burning! He's angry! Just ignore him! He knows to watch his step!”
As he looked to where Gaster had vanished over the rocks he quickly coated his fur in a thick layer of frost, drenching himself, “Let's put this fire out!” 904 words || post 1

K I G E R Taenos was a quaint little town, to be sure, though she had never consciously planned on visiting. Distributing supplies was admittedly not her favorite job, nor was it being done under favorable conditions, but she liked the sense of gratification she received from grateful villagers who came to collect their share of necessities. She also had a chance to barter off some of her own works, though there wasn't really much around that she was really interested in. Some things she agreed to trade was done simply out of compassion.
At this rate I'm going to go into poverty for sure, she chided herself, smoothly navigating around a couple of snow leopards. Hmm... Valkyries? The black mare paused to tilt her head at the magnificent creatures and felt a slight pang of guilt. She'd left Chips at home to keep an eye on the front door, but mostly so the aggressive little animal wouldn't steal stuff or worse, bite someone's child, both of which had already occurred on numerous occasions. Still, the loneliness was becoming rather acute as she gazed at everyone else with their familiars.
As the sun shifted from morning to afternoon, she began to get the sense that something was wrong -- but looking around, she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary--
There was a loud WHOOSH as a scout suddenly appeared overhead, feathers raining down on the crowd as the young equine flapped his wings furiously to keep his balance.
Horses called out to one another, some turning their heads to look at the circling pegasus while others hurried to make room on the ground. "He's going way too fast," someone in the background said. Sure enough, before Kiger could so much as even blink, the pegasus had more or less crashed into the earth in a tangle of limbs, screaming all the while. At first she thought he'd been hurt -- but no, he was saying something else -- a fire?
She turned her face into the wind and at last, she saw it: thin clouds of smoke rising into the otherwise clear sky. Kiger felt like she was trapped in syrup as she began to wordlessly run after the others, though she willed herself to go faster, faster. It felt like she hadn't gotten very far when the earth began to feel unstable, culminating moments later with a golem wyrm bursting from the soil with an ear-deafening roar. Startled, Kiger couldn't help but scream -- Chirin's words did little to reassure her as she spotted the others climbing after the wyrm, but with grim determination, she quashed the feeling and followed them. They had a fire to put out, and failure was not an option.

Adair Shield 861 words || Post I
Adair wasn't exactly slacking off, but his heart sure wasn't in the job today. Yet again, yet again he was given just another simple duty. He did not consider himself arrogant or overly ambitious, but Adair had always struggled with being too young for the rank of Shield, or privileged by being a Stone Council member's son. He had hoped to do more, be more for his herd. A few months back, it seemed like Hira had finally trusted him enough with a more serious mission... And now he was back to this. Why did she send Edmond back but not him? Right, she needed her precious Valkyries involved again... The dull thud of another crate being unloaded made Lad start with guilt and swallow his bitterness. He looked over to the source and found Addeva struggling with a load perhaps a bit too heavy for her. Effectively distracted, Adair actually snickered at the telling off the poor stallion who attempted to help her got. He turned to Alyshia, who had been helping him with the supplies for an apana herder, with a grin. " Do you think she'd drop that sack of flour on my head if I offered my services?" He whispered in jest. Addy didn't need their help. It was both great to see and also somewhat sobering. He knew she had been faring well as a Valkyrie, but he sometimes forgot she wasn't just his excited, surprisingly strong baby sister. Yes, it would be better not to dwell on his issues with the War Lord. He had never been assigned to a mission with his sisters before, and their companionship was nice. The homey feel it gave him allowed the stallion to relax for once, instead of keeping the serious soldier face on all the time. Besides, he had to remember they were Valkyries too, it wasn't their fault for being Hira's favorite merry band of warriors, even though he and many other Shields worked just as tirelessly to serve her... But yea. Family. Spending some much appreciated quality time together during a simple mission. Lad was just considering secretly buying a handful of those cookies to surprise the girls after they were done, when he noticed the pegasus coming closer, way too fast. " They should slow down-" he muttered, when the pegasus dropped from the sky before them. As some horses rushed over to tend to them, the scout began to gasp as they told the group about the fire and Hawke, the Stone Circle member who was overseeing the work on Taenos, commanded them over to help stop the flames. All thoughts about Hira dissolved from Adair's mind as he went on high alert. Addy raced before him towards the fire, and he pushed the tiny flicker of worry for her and Alyshia out of his mind. They were trained warriors who had been in many situations more dire than this. They'd know what to do. " Come on!" He called to Alyshia as he followed Addeva towards the fields, mentally complaining about whoever decided to pray to Ignacio for him before he was born. His heat vision would be worthless in a situation where fire needed to be contained. He was thrown off his track when the ground began to shake, and he heard the scream of a dark mare besides him - was it one of the traders who had accompanied Chekilla to the Aodh border a few months back? Adair thought she had mentioned someone who fit the description - as something massive shot by them towards the fire. It took Adair a moment to comprehend it was an actual golem lindworm. In his pocket, the arrowhead that was Rune most of the times begun to shake, his familiar clearly sensed a sibling nearby. Adair clenched his teeth. No. No! He screamed mentally at it. Ever since Rune had first appeared, Adair had been slowly making progress with his golem. While Rune was still extremely hard to control, he seemed to at least be able to get when a situation was serious, and would listen to him for a change. " He's angry! Just ignore him, he knows what he's doing!" The voice of a- a child, an actual legitimate child pulled him short. Was this youngling responsible for unleashing that beast? Adair had been frustrated all day, and in the stress of the situation, composure was the least of his worries. " What do you think you're doing?!" He turned and stopped before the young horse, drawing himself to his full height. " Who the hell thinks a lindworm can watch their step?! What of the people on the fields or on the way towards them? He will trample them! What of the fields themselves? We have to save these crops, not crush what's left of them!" He practically growled at the child. " If you want to help fine, come with us, and we'll think of an actual strategy, but control your beast right now or I will see to it myself." He snapped, before turning around and speeding up to catch up with the black mare. Without slowing down, he called out to her: " Are you alright?"

Alyshia had learned, from very early on, that things in Onea had a way of not going as planned.
It would have been nice for things to remain as they were. Dull, perhaps, but pleasant all the same. Helping her people stock up for the days ahead, getting good and honest work done alongside her siblings. Laughing quietly at her brother’s jokes and reveling in the fact that for once, they were getting the chance to spend time with one another without it having to be outside of their jobs.
And then bad news quite literally came crashing down upon them.
The Forged, if nothing else, were a practical and no-nonsense people. Neither she nor her siblings were alone in their dash after Hawke, with several of the merchants galloping alongside them. Alyshia fell silent as she channeled her strength into her strides, the acrid scent of smoke reaching her nostrils as they all neared the source of the chaos.
She gave a startled shout—Poofkin yowling beside her— as the earth began to tremble underneath their feet, skidding to a stop as a massive golem writhed in her way, charging toward the flames ahead. The Valkyrie glanced about her with a jolt of panic, counting heads, ensuring no one had been hurt by the mad creature—
“Just ignore him! He knows to watch his step!”
Alyshia turned back to find a young adolescent trailing them at full speed. Oh, gods, was that his? How did a child end up with such a volatile familiar?! Adair seemed to share her concerns, enough to voice them in a harsher way than Aly might have. She loathed admonishing children so sharply but couldn’t deny that there were more important matters to address.
As they all set off into a run again, Alyshia tagged onto her brother’s rebuke. “He may want to help—you both may—but an angry golem is dangerous, no matter their intentions. Please, call him back if you can!”

Hawke Stone Circle | War-Forged
"Do not cry wolf cub. For when the light leaves, the dark fears you."
Thank Argus, at least some of them had listened to their words. Frankly, Hawke wasn't the kind of person that ever enjoyed repeating themselves. And now would not be an exception.
Hawke's grimace is almost permanently etched into their face, as if they know something's coming but can't quite figure it out. They can sense something moving beneath the surface before it finally breaks free. And boy are they not to pleased when they see the cause of it.
Their head whips around quickly to find the source of the voice, and their first feelings of displeasure turn into all around annoyance. How did a child get his hooves on something as powerful--and deadly--as that? He was responsible for controlling that? Argus, please, be with them.
"An angry golem is not what we need at the moment!" They bellow out, not wanting to get to into the idea of having a rock beast currently running about. It could damage the crops more than they already wear. And the last thing they wanted was the get squished beneath those claws. Frankly, that's not how they wanted to be taken out of this world. "Get him under control, now! Do not make me repeat myself!"
Hawke composes themselves as best as they possibly can, slowing their movements enough to maybe predict where the golem was going to end up next and not have themselves trampled to death. And certainly having any of these heroichelpers die on their watch wouldn't look too good on their soul, now would it?
The smell of smoke is getting stronger and stronger now, so much so they turn their nose up at the smell. Skidding to a stop a few paces away, Hawke feels their stomach churn at the sight, throwing up another quick prayer. Perhaps if they were blessed with something more inherently practical compared to their Sense, they might be more readily able to help.
While they debate over what they can and can't do, the thought of the golem comes crashing through their mind again. Almost as if to punctuate their thought, they can feel the earth shaking beneath them once again. If they couldn't readily help out with the fires--besides stomping them out--at least they could give fair wanting so they could all watch their heads.
"Be mindful of the golem! I don't need any of your deaths on my conscience, alright?" They call, focusing more of their attention of keeping an eye out for the golem, letting their Sense reach out and do the majority of the work.
They suppose it's better to have a prosthetic now than ever before. Can't quite feel the flames beneath your hoof if it's not real to begin with. But then again, what was the best way to go about this?

CHIRIN
The stallions words had been harsh and jolting to a colt who was not used to receiving such a verbal smack on the hoof. It didn't help when a Valkyrie and a scary looking horse also joined him.
Chirin wasnt able to get a word in for any of them, but...... He understood where they were coming from. Gaster was big. REALLY big. His mere presence was enough to terrify hundreds. Gaster didn't mean any harm. He was Kaia's creation and her lands were now ablaze. His first instinct was to protect it.
But so did Chirin and the others.
The colt glared in the direction of Gasters roaring. Pinning his ears he let out a huff of ice fog through his nostrils and went after the beast.
When he had caught up with him, Gaster hadn't actually made it very far. If anyone rounded the bluff they would see him, angry but stationary.
Gaster redirected his anger to the colt once the boy stood in front of him. The colt knew why and returned his glare, "You need to stop. We can handle this."
Determined-Dissmisive-Angry-COMMANDING
Gaster groweld, his head close enough to the colt that one bite would end him.
"I SAID LEAVE." Came the boys order. Gaster looked furious.... But yielded. Respect-Displeasure-Obedient.
The massive Golem turned away and simply pushed into the face of the bluff and vanished, the hole he had made healing over, leaving no trace.
Letting out a breath he had been holding, Chirin quickly found the others and joined them again. He located the stallion who had yelled at him and ran up beside him and a black mare the colt recognized as a Farmer, "There. He's gone. I've never had to order him around before, so he wasn't happy, but he listened. I didn't mean any harm by it, honest."
Looking to the black mare, Chirin offered her an apology, "Sorry if he scared you."
Turning his attention back to the stallion, "I can work with Ice, but only a heavy frost right now. I could freeze the ground infront of the fire and the heat would turn it to water and make it soggy. Would that help?"

K I G E R Kiger almost felt bad for the young unicorn, but she was also quite shocked that he was the wyrm's owner. How in Kaia's name did the child get his hooves on such a creature? Surely he knew even the tamest ones that ever existed were still very dangerous? But now was not the time to ask.
A different unicorn appeared beside her, his bulky strength making him seem bigger than he actually was. "Are you alright?" he asked.
Am I? she wondered briefly before responding with, "Yes, yes I'm fine! Startled me is all." Kiger swished her tail in what she hoped was a dismissive gesture as the younger one came by to apologize. "No worries, no worries--" Her voice was cut off as she crested the hill on the heels of the quicker equines. Dear Kaia, it already looked quite bad. Lucky that the kid had frost manipulation -- she sorely wished she had a Blessing, but she'd never had time to ask for one. Plus, she worried that if she had asked, the gods would have ended up gifting her something that she couldn't use in this situation anyway.
She quickly scanned the carnage for things that she could use. At the most, she could make use of her naturist talent to construct a fire block -- she knew what plants liked to burn and what what burned poorly; perhaps she could get the farmers to clear the brush to minimize the chances of fire spreading to the forest. She wasn't sure how to convince them to make a fire block in the fields though. What they really needed were those blessed by Cascade...
"The frost will have to be good enough. Does anybody with water or earth manipulation?? Apart from the golem, I mean," she blurted in an uncharacteristic rush, shooting Chirin an apologetic glance. "Anyone who can't help put the fire out can help make fire blocks! Some plants don't burn as readily as others!" Her gaze flitted towards the farmhouses, where she could just barely make out the dark shapes of panicking horses.
A horrible thought occurred to her. Please let there be no children!

As Addeva's hooves raced across the land, she picked up the movement of the earth below before a massive golem burst through the ground. Someone behind her screamed, and she heard Aly's shout. She dodged flying boulders as the beast passed her by, her eyes wide and mouth agape from the sheer size of the rock worm. Sure, she was used to seeing Adair's golem, but this one was almost ridiculously huge.
The zonkey slowed to make sure everyone was okay, just in time to hear the owner of the beast (a kid around her age??? with THAT??) call the massive thing back. What the heck was that all about?
She met up with the small group, careful not to step on dead, hot patches of earth. Addeva's heart broke for the blackened state of the flora they were unable to save and the screaming earth beneath her hooves.
But they still had a chance of saving the rest of it. Upon hearing the black mare suggest for an earth manipulator ("oh right, that's me!"), Addeva rose her front hooves to the air before crashing them down to the ground, causing a ripple of earth to turn to fine dust several feet before them. Casper leaped with surprise from the wave-like movement, his tail lashing about as he looked around, half expecting another golem to appear. With the dirt loosened, she took large amounts of dust with her manipulation and chucked them into the open flames, smoke replacing the embers as the large patch of fire was put out. "Pick up what dirt you can and throw it onto the fire!" Her little voice shouted above the roars and crackles of the flames, churning up more of the ground around the group and throwing more onto the angry inferno. At least everyone else can use their teke! "You're all honorary earth manipulators today!"
Addeva too saw the horses running in the distance. Think think think think... She looked to her companion, the snow leopard clearly uncomfortable from the heat. "Casper! Guide them to safety away from the flames!" With no hesitation, the feline ran off, grateful to be away from the fire.
The Valkyrie went back into her pattern of upturning dirt and showering it onto the fire. She looked to Alyshia nearby. "What do you think caused this, Aly?" Word count: 390| Post #2

Ah, sh-t, was Alyshia’s immediate thought when Hawke joined in on scolding the young teen. But the point, at least, was almost certainly driven home. Chirin left them all behind with a burst of speed, and by the time they all rounded the field the lindworm was gone. The Valkyrie gave him a curt “thank you” as she passed, saving her breath for the task at hoof: get there in time.
As Adair checked in with the frazzled mare, the others immediately moved into discussion. Gods be damned, no one here had water manipulation—but the unicorn golem-lad was blessed with frost, and that was better than nothing.
But then her sister had a brilliant idea; one that she presented with an almost theatrical rumbling wave. The earth bounced up in ripples around them before falling away into fine and shallow dunes of dust.
“Pick up what dirt you can and throw it onto the fire! You’re all honorary earth manipulators today!"
“Good thinking,” Alyshia hurried out, doing as she was told and collecting as much dirt as her teke would allow to snuff out the nearest flames. Her ears wavered back when she heard Addeva’s question, desperately wishing she had a good answer for her. She could make no sense of the chaos that had overtaken the farmers’ lands; there was no rhyme or reason to any of it.
“I’d have said a campfire were it night,” she spoke in between dirtball chucks, “or the early morning. Lightning if there were a storm. I don’t know what could have caused it, Addy.”
“… If need be, I can safely take us through this mess with my force-fields! It’ll be useful if we find anyone trapped in the flames!”

T A E N D ❅War-Forged | Stationary Merchant❅
He had come down with the intention to sell some wares, help with the unloading. Heck, maybe even make a few new acquaintances.
He did not take into account the fact that the universe royally likes to screw him over.
His head shot up at the scout's cry.
Immediately he dropped what he had been doing and made a break for the fields...
Only to stumble as a golem cracked the earth. He whipped his head around to watch in terror as the golem thrashed... and the subsequent yells of the valkyries around him. He pins his ears for a brief moment, only for him to overhear the Alyshia's words.
With a snort he canters to the valkrie's side, bowing his head in greeting as he stops. " Miss Valkyrie, I won't be of much use out here, but I'm at least a big enough lug to carry out any injured. If we need to go looking, now would be a great time before the flames can gain anymore traction."
His head glances up, eyes staring forebodingly into the crackling fire- "Now might be the only time."

Hawke Stone Circle | War-Forged
"Do not cry wolf cub. For when the light leaves, the dark fears you." The Stone Circle member--standing a bit too close to the flames-doesn't seem to flatter, not even when they consider they might have been a tad bit too harsh to the kid. You know, the one with a golem? They still couldn't even figure out how he managed to find that. It's the crackling of the fire that pulls them from their thoughts. Now was certainly not the time to worry about being gentle, they could apologize later, when this was all said and done.
Hawke listens to them all with intent, their gaze not daring to flicker away from the flames.
There's many things that could have caused this, they supposed, all options seeming plausible to them at least. Perhaps it was a campfire or even lightning. Though, the one that seemed to make them tense up the most was that someone had done this on purpose. While it made their blood both boil and go cold, it was quite feasible it had been true.
They reach out with their Sense, searching for anyone trapped in the flames. Their gaze finally flickers towards the Valkyrie, the one blessed by Ignacio.
"If you can get into the flames, I can lead." They call, their gaze perhaps a bit too calm and collected for what was going on around them at the moment. Their teke absentmindedly reaches for dirt as they speak, tossing the material onto the nearby flames. "As long as you don't wander too far. I'll go in with you, if you need."
Of course there was always a catch to what they could do. They had chosen Argus over Kaia, and perhaps they would again if the time ever came. Though Kaia's blessings are seeming to be a lot more practical for a time like this.
As Hawke waits for a response, their gaze falls back to the flames.
Hopefully they could save the vast majority of it. Even considering, or hoping, they could save it all seemed like a foolish thought to them. Some areas already seemed charred down to nothing, swallowed whole by the flames. Their hearts seems to twists, a pit forming in their stomach, perhaps if they had reacted a little quicker to the smell of smoke, they wouldn't be here.
Argus be with them.

She seemed to be on the right track with this idea. Hawke approved of it, as well as one of the stallions that had rushed to the farmers’ aid. Alyshia acknowledged him with a grateful nod—it was a rare pleasantry to come across men who treated Valkyries so amiably— before turning her attention to the Stone Circle member.
“I’ll move at as fair a pace as I can,” she responded, summoning a large disk of solid light and shoving it out in front of her. “I could cover us entirely, but that would get in the way of putting the fire out. We need to be able to snuff out whatever we can.”
Gods, the smoke— the air was thickening faster than she’d have liked; there was no more time to waste. The unicorn pushed forward, using her shield to keep the flames directly in her path at bay. “I’m going to be relying on the both of you to throw that dirt around. I need to focus on keeping this up. Once we’ve cleared a full path and reached those trapped within I can shield us all more efficiently!”

K I G E R "Pick up what dirt you can and throw it onto the fire! You're all honorary earth manipulators today!"
Yes, why hadn't she thought of that? It was so simple, the most basic ability any horse had. I'm an idiot, Kiger berated herself as she began picking her way towards the edges of the blaze. Behind her, she heard snippets of discussion between the old councilman and the Valkyries. The black mare cast a quick glance back over her shoulder to assess the locations of the others. Surely no horse would do this on purpose . . . or at least, surely no War-Forged would do this. A foolish accident, perhaps, or even an enemy -- but what did anyone hope to gain by setting fire to their own?
Kiger picked up the pace, circling around the main blaze with considerable caution while she mashed down the various plant matter she came across with her wide, heavy hooves. Having no Blessings, it would be quite a disaster if her long thick tresses caught fire. Though there weren't any large patches of bare earth nearby, she supposed the farmers would need to forgive her for scrounging among the rows to cover the ground behind her as she went. Once again, she was pleasantly surprised by the great strength of her teke -- so different from how flimsy her control had been when she was young!
As the others worked to make a path towards the center and snuff the fire out, Kiger was determined to put a gap between the flames and the surrounding forest before it became too late.

As Chirin and the others closed in on the fire he listened to the conversations happening around him. Turns out the Scary looking older horse was, in fact, a Stone Circle member...... which only made the scolding they had given the colt sting just that little bit more.
Emerald green eyes gazed up at the blaze, the flames reaching well over the boys head. Chirin felt a stab of doubt. Would his frost even be enough?
A ripple of loose earth made the colt still and for a moment he thought Gaster was surfacing again but a quick observation, and the declaration of the smaller Valkyrie, told him that she had been the cause.
He eavesdropped on the two Valkyrie's conversation as he joined the others in throwing dirt onto the flames. He paused for a moment and turned to the two mares, going back to kicking dirt as he spoke, “Hang on! Addy and Aly? Those wouldn't happen to be short for Alyshia and Addeva would they?” he called, his voice a yell over the roar of the flames, “My sister told me a lot about you two! Said you were great fighters!” he told them, smiling as he gave the complement, “I don't think I ever introduced myself! Name's Chirin!”
The colt grunted as a stray ember fluffed up from a spot he had thrown dirt and singed his coat. This dry thin dirt was getting him nowhere. Looking to the loose soil ahead of him that others were still tossing the colt rolled his shoulders and closed his eyes, focusing.
He felt the air around him snap into a frigid shock. Jumping forward, Chirin drove his front hooves into the dirt. A jagged ripple of thick frost and cold wind spread over the dirt, the heat from the flames melting the would-be ice and moistening, not soaking, the earth. Looking back to the mares he gave them a quick nod in greeting, “I'm Froya's little brother!”
He got back to shovelling now damp earth onto the closer flames, steam rising from the piles he threw as the fires were snuffed out, “Also! About how this fire started!” he shouted to anyone who would hear him,
“Am I the only one who noticed how it was JUST THE FIELD that caught fire!? Even if it was a campfire, what Farmer is stupid enough to have one this close to crops?! And what about the crops? They are all to green to catch this easily! I mean, from where I'm standing it looks like someone with Fire Manipulation SET them on fire! I don't exactly doubt that War Forged hasn't made any enemies who would love to see us all starve in the winter!”
The colt jumped, cursing under his breath when he stepped on a hot coal by accident. This fire was pissing him off.
He then heard Alysha and the Stone Circle member talk about going through the fire. He trotted up to them, blowing ice fog through his nose, “My frost will be no use from behind the fire,” he told the older horses, looking mostly to Alyshia, “I need to get in front of it. You already have the Council member, him and yourself to worry about protecting, so I'll find my own way through.” he told them before turning and dashing away from the fire, “I'll see if I can give you a bit of extra insurance on the other side!”
He had a plan. He had done this manoeuvre with a rock-slide before. He just needed to time it right. Once he was far enough away, he turned on his heel and headed straight for the wall of flames at a full sprint.
He gave a more than generous amount of distance between himself and the others.
Keeping his eyes on the flames, the colt coated himself in several thick layers of frost, his hooves freezing the blades of grass behind him as he ran.

“Gaster! Could use an assist!”
Suddenly there was a calm roll through the earth that felt more like when a heavy boulder rolls down the mountain than an earthquake. Gem and iron spikes tore up the ground in front of the foal and ripped through the fire, creating a small, clear trail just big enough for the colt's hooves to fit in. The fire lapped at the edges of the extinguished earth, threatening to overtake the gap once more.
The wind had picked up slightly and Chirin hoped that this worked-

Addeva gave a determined nod before Aly generated her force field, sticking close behind her while they began to move further inwards. From the corner of her eye, she saw the curly-haired mare from the market also attempt to help from the outside. "Please be careful ma'am!" she shouted, "And let us know if you need help!" The last thing she wanted was more people getting burned from the flames. Who knows if there's horses trapped in here... gods the thought of it made her stomach turn and her hooves work faster into the earth.
"Hang on! Addy and Aly? Those wouldn't happen to be short for Alyshia and Addeva would they?" The young unicorn knew about them? Did they become famous without her knowing?? 'I mean I've gotten pretty good at making things outta rock...and Aly GLOWS so she's kinda hard to miss...' she thought to herself.
“My sister told me a lot about you two! Said you were great fighters!”
OH! That makes much more sense. "What! You're Froya's brother?! That's awesome!" Addeva took a second to send several feet of dirt flying into the flames before continuing, "It's nice to meet you, Chirin!" An awful circumstance to meet over, but she did remember Froya mentioning her little brother from time to time. And Addy did have a habit of listening to everything she said because Froya is only the coolest Valkyrie there ever was and ever would be (besides Alyshia of course).
At least his frost manipulation was helpful, and it was kinda nice having someone her age around.
She listened to his thoughts and nodded, still working to tame the flames while doing so. While she wasn't sure if it was a fire manipulator that did this, the Valkyrie did agree with Alyshia and Chirin that this was both really out of the ordinary and seemed intentional. Addeva would love to give a swift kick in the butt to whoever did this if that was the case.
And-- wait. What was he doing? Alarm bells set off in her head as Chirin literally ran straight into the fire, the rumblings of his golem creating a path for him. No no no no NO! She did NOT want to watch him die, she had seen enough death and destruction. Images of dead horses up the mountains, flashes of half-buried bodies rising from the ground in an abandoned town, the injured from the war.
Anxiety gripped her chest, and it erupted as she shouted. "Chirin, WAIT!" Addeva's heart raced with adrenaline as the zonkey leaped after him, floating above Alyshia's shield and landing on the rocky path that the golem created, following him deeper into the flames. She ignored the heat as best as she could, but it felt as if she were placed into an active volcano.
Getting closer to him, she let out a shout as she called to her connections with the ground below her, thrusting her chin to create a thick rocky barrier between them and the flames and hopefully stopping the teen in his tracks. She again emitted a wave through her hooves to break the ground into finer dirt and attempted to tame the flames around them before they were burned to a crisp. After a few large sprays of dirt and a little breathing room, she turned to him with heavy doses of both concern and relief. "Are you crazy? Just because you were blessed by Cascade doesn't automatically make you fireproof!"
And she knows. She asked Adair to look it up in a book once.
"We gotta work together, okay?"

Adair Shield 621 words || Post II
" Nice, Addy!" Adair grinned. Maybe they had no water, but hey, they had the next best thing, and the earth would put the fire out more firmly and without as much smoke. " Yes," Adair nodded at the boy besides him and the black mare. " You-" he stopped, noticing the kid had gotten distracted. Well, he was helping now and the lindworm was nowhere to be seen, which was much better. He nodded to- yea, she had to be the Kiger Chekilla had mentioned once. " Alright, let's do this." As they worked on it, Adair knew that while Addeva was making good progress, she was the only earth manipulator they had. He clenched his teeth in frustration. His blessing was useless, he was useless, as always. Maybe that's why Hira kept sending him into this sort of errand. Adair shook his head, huffing. He was far too distracted today. The thought of horses trapped in the fire terrified him. They must get them out. " I'll go with you too Aly," he called out to his sister, " If you'll have me." the Shield deferred to Hawke. " The fire won't bother my eyes, not with my blessing. If we get too close, Aly, I can help guide you as per our Councilmember's Sense." Well, at least there was something he could do with it. The heat and brightness of the fire would not bother his eyes, since what he made via heat vision was usually much worse than that. Adair didn't like how the smoke was making it harder to breathe. They had to move, and move now. Suddenly, the kid - Chirin, he had overheard - started ranting about Ignacio-blessed horses and how they surely had to be the cause of it. Adair pinned his ears back, planning to explain to him that it wasn't very nice of him to assume, when the kid launched into some plan to try and contain the fire from the other side and- wait, hadn't he said that he couldn't do much work outside of heavy frost? - wait- And then Chirin called on the golem yet again, and Adair's panic rose as the ground shook under his hooves. He firmly squashed the emotion, and had to take a moment to control Rune yet again. The lindworm had sensed his feelings, and Adair had to convince him that he was not in (too much) danger. " Chirin, NO!" He gasped, echoing Addy as he attempted to stop the boy while at the same time keeping his own golem down. " There may be people trapped in the fire! You don't know if it's safe for them! Gaster may hurt them!" He wasn't sure if Chirin had heard him, but Addy quickly flew after him. He couldn't see if she had managed to stop the unruly teenager, but he immediately decided that he'd pull the kid aside (if they all made it out alive) and explain to him about thinking his way through before rushing into things like this. Who knows if the enormous beast hadn't killed anyone already? It was so large and uncontrollable, he doubted it would sense any small horse trapped by the flames. Not to mention how he carelessly put two of them in danger, one of them being his younger sister. He was supposed to have hers and Aly's backs, damnit. Right now though, they had to get to Addy and Chirin. Perhaps with the kid's blessing they would avoid being burned alive for longer, but it wouldn't last forever. The Shield looked at Hawke and his sister. " We need to get to them now." His voice was controlled, but he was sure Aly would notice the fear hidden in his gaze. They had to get to Addy.

Hawke Stone Circle | War-Forged
"Do not cry wolf cub. For when the light leaves, the dark fears you." They just wanted this whole ordeal to go as smooth as possible.
For the most part, Hawke did like to consider themselves a relatively patient person. In fact, it might be a required trait to have within their line of work, but even then, their patience only tends to reach so far. Perhaps the fire might just be making them a tad bit more irritated than normal, or it might have sucked up with little amount of patience they had left.
She sees him out of the corner of their eye, their head whipping around, "Someone stop him! Now!" But he's gone into the flames before they can do anything about it, one of the Valkyries hot on his tail. As they watch, they voice comes out in a barely audible whisper. "I am getting too old for this shit."
By Argus, they were going to lose their mind before this was all said and done. And, perhaps in the more extreme case, they were simply going to die from all of the stress.
They aren't quite sure if their voice will even be heard above the sounds of the fire, but they were a little annoyed. And maybe--just maybe--a little impressed by his daring nature. But one thing was for certain, if he were to wind up burned, or worse, dead, it would look bad on them.
"You two, don't do anything brash or... Or stupid! For the love of Argus, so help me--" They snort, mainly talking to the kid, their prosthetic leg stomping down against the ground. It was just their luck to be stuck with something as crazy as this. Why did the field have to be on fire under their watch? Why?? "If you can, stay were you are! We'll get to ya soon!"
As they watch the flames, they supposed the Valkyrie and the kid would be the first two on their rescue list. As soon as the trio were in the flames, they could reach out where their Sense, searching for anyone and everyone who might be lost in there. Though, they couldn't be a hundred percent sure on who they were "seeing", going off only body shape and type..
"Ready when you two are."

“Thank you, Adair,” Alyshia responded with a small breath of relief as her brother caught up to the small evacuation party. It was true, his eyes would fair far better in the heat than any of theirs could. “When the smoke gets to be too much for any of us, you can—" she was interrupted by the youth from earlier before.
Ahh!! So this was the esteemed Chirin! In truth, Alyshia should have known. He had Froya’s heart as well as her courage. In time, she was sure, he would gain his sister’s wisdom as well.
That time, however, was not at this moment.
Oh, no—
--oh, no—
No, no, no, gods above--!!!
There was little she could do to stop the scene in front of her from unfolding, not without risking burn injuries to herself or to Hawke and the stallions who had accompanied them. That fool of a child and his golem—how eager was he to get himself killed?!
Alyshia’s heart only raced faster as Addeva rushed forward after him, using her blessings to keep the fire at bay. She was dimly aware of Adair shouting Chirin’s name, Hawke calling out to the both of them to be careful—
Adair’s eye contact pulled her from her surge of panic.
“We need to get to them. Now.”
“Ready when you are,” was Hawke’s response, and with a deep inhale, Alyshia steadied her nerves. They all needed this from her, they needed her to be f-cking calm. Not just for those trapped, but her sister. Froya’s brother.
So much was at stake, but these were the sort of catastrophes that Valkyries were made for. Time was of the essence.
She pushed onward, altering her course just slightly to reach the two now standing in the middle of a damn fire, quickening her pace but not so fast as to leave any of her companions straggling. She blinked away sweat as the heat began to take its toll, desperate to make sure that the shield wouldn’t break.
“Don’t… move!”

Adair Shield 216 words || Post III
" Ready when you two are." " Of course, sir." Adair nodded at Hawke. He watched as Alyshia steeled herself, and he twined his tail with hers for a second. They'd get them out of there. They'd get Addy out of there. He might even tease his little sister about saving her once this was done just for the assurance of her response. Just for the feeling of knowing she was being herself and okay. Adair knew Addeva was a very capable Valkyrie and he had always trusted her and Aly, but... They were family. He'd always worry about them. Then, Aly put her shield up, and they carefully walked into the flames. Adair wondered how Hawke and Aly were standing it. Just the heat and the smoke were hard enough, he could at least see what was going on. " A little to the left." He had to call to Aly loudly, the cracking of the flames was so loud. The Shield picked up the pace alongside her after she corrected her course, until they were upon the two horses and Alyshia grunted an order to not move. " Addy, Chirin, we're almost there! Don't move for now, we're almost ready to get you out!" Lad called to the two trapped horses, hoping they'd be able to hear him.

Autumn is not peak fire season, but it follows close enough on the heels of summer to still be dangerous. Nonetheless, the fire does seem to be spreading faster than normal, consuming the precious crops with an avaricious quality that might be chilling... were it not for the hair-singing heat.
Your group and the others in Taenos are working quickly, but the fire seems to be working faster.
Three new dangers have appeared!
- Incident A: A soot-streaked farmer appears next to you and is wild with fear; you learn that a group of other farmers (some of them children) have been trapped by the flames they were fighting, and are in deep trouble. 4 characters must work together if they are to save these farmers! Requires 1 round of posts.
- Incident B: Another shout rings out; you turn to see that though the wind has seemingly not changed, the embers of the blaze have traveled to a previously un-burned field and now it too is kindling. To lose this field would be devastating. 3 characters much work together to save the crops! Requires 2 rounds of posts.
- Incident C: A third commotion rises closer to the village; the embers are traveling there too, and while many of the structures are made of stone and fire-resistant wood, the grain silo stands closest to the edge. If it were to catch fire... the best outcome would be the mere loss of the grain inside. Much more likely would be a fireball that would blind even the stars. 3 characters must work together to save the silo! Requires 2 rounds of posts.
There's no time limit on the posts but fire waits for nobody so move fast and where you think your talents will be most useful! The order in which you choose to act will be relevant. Once your character has chosen an incident, you must stay there until the incident is resolved before moving to a new one!

The heat was really beginning to get to her now. She worked to keep the flames at bay surrounding her and Chirin, but there was no stopping the sweat that coated her face and body. It was NOT a good day to be fuzzy.
Her head lifted as Hawke and her brother and sister called out to them. "It's okay! We're okay! Over here!" Addeva tried to yell as loud as she could over the crackling and roaring of the fire. After awhile, she could see the very tip of Alyshia's shield over the top of the wildfire. The valkyrie spread dirt to meet them half way, giving her siblings a sheepish smile before the farmer came to meet them.
A group of farmers trapped? Suddenly the heat didn't bother her. They had to rescue them. "Come on guys, we gotta get them out" Newly determined energy flowed through her as she pressed her little hooves into the burned soil, exhaling. As she did, a wave emitted once again from Addy, this time upturning the burning crops and rolling them under the ground much like an ocean wave, the extinguished flames hissing in response.
Addeva went in the direction the farmer came from, putting out whatever she could on the way and hoping the rest of the group will follow. The trapped farmers couldn't be too far from them.

Hawke Stone Circle | War-Forged
"Do not cry wolf cub. For when the light leaves, the dark fears you." "Thank Argus! Are you two hurt--are you okay?" With a quick survery over them, the medic in their blood coming out, Hawke feels an ounce of the weight lift from their shoulders. "You two look fine to me." Well, as fine as one is allowed to be after diving head first into flames.
There stomach churns at the thought. The youth never seemed to not impress them--or cause their concern to rise to unbearable amount.
What little peace, if it could be called that, is found by the two being safe and sound is snatched by the arrival of the farmer. If they had ate anything before arriving, they might have upchucked it right then and there. Could they not get one bloody second of peace?
They supposed not.
"You heard them." They bellow, their voice litter with the heaviness of smoke. "Get a move on. Do what you can."
Hawke, lingering a little close to the flames, does what little they can do to help. Slinging dirt onto the flames, it's all they can do without any 'practical' blessings at their disposal. Even now, how much help would their blessing be if they aren't directly in the flames? They can count at least a portion of those trapped, their Sense reaching out farther than they can.
"If anyone wants to play hero. I'll direct you."

Adair 212 words // Post IV Their progress had been slow, far too slow for Adair's taste, but he could feel the strain Aly was in, so he did not complain and stayed close by her side, grabbing onto earth and ash and throwing it into the flames - not that it did them much good. Suddenly, the earth before them moved, creating a path for Chirin and Addy to reach them. Addeva smiled sheepishly at them, but Adair only allowed himself a sigh of relief and a crooked kind of smile (honestly though, he kind of wanted to hug her, but it wouldn't do well for him to be distracted like this and besides, he was sure Addy wouldn't appreciate it at this moment). Before he could say anything though, a horse burst through the fire, begging them to help others trapped inside. Adair nodded to Hawke, and looked pointedly at Chirin. " I'm glad you're okay, kid. When Aly gets us out, go and check on the others, make sure everything is fine- and if you want to do anything, check with Hawke or one of us first. We want you to help us, but running off like that won't do." He murmured, voice rough due to the smoke. He then turned to the councilmember themselves. " I can help lead them out if need be, but we must act now." Adair then turned to Alyshia. " Ready?"

A wave of relief rushed through Alyshia as they finally, finally reached Addeva and Chirin. The two met them at the last stretch courtesy of Addy's blessing, and with the help of the others a path had been made for evacuation. A good thing, too, as the heat and smoke was beginning to weigh uncomfortably on Alyshia's lungs.
They would need to act fast, however. It would only be a matter of time before the flames engulfed all their hard work and trapped them all in this literal hell.
"Ready," she answered Adair with a nod before the group made their way to the farmers trapped just ahead. "Everyone! Get close to me!!!"
With a surge of great focus and strength, the unicorn summoned a large dome of solid light around her comrades and their rescuees. It settled down with a flashy sheen, and as soon as they were safely secured she set off at a brisk trot, the fastest she could walk while maintaining the forcefield.
Mission accomplished.
One of them, at least.

K I G E R She heard a lot of shouting -- voices that, this time, she didn't recognize as those of her fellow townspeople. The black mare paused in her work to stretch her neck over the tall plants, glancing back at where she split off from the rest. And . . . wait, what was that? She narrowed her eyes to a squint and couldn't help but gasp when she saw it: fire had spread to a neighboring field as if it were a live animal.
Kiger pivoted and immediately began striking out towards the other field, reasoning that with the extensive damage done to the one she was working through meant it was probably as good as lost. She hadn't gotten very far before another shout rang out -- the urgent panic in the horse's tone made her jerk her head towards the source with a start. Hey, isn't that a silo? Oh. Oh sh*t.
Although she wasn't a farmer by trade, she knew most farm towns were typically well-stocked no matter the time of year. Their silos and granaries were capable of storing as much as several years' worth of feed (although anything over a year old was probably . . . not ideal for consumption). But the grain wasn't as big a deal as the tall building falling apart on the poor equines desperate to preserve its integrity. Worse . . . depending on its contents, the tightly-sealed structure would gather too much internal pressure and explode. Also killing horses. Probably more due to explosion radius.
Kiger changed her mind in mere seconds. She wasn't entirely sure how the others were doing, as tall fronds blocked much of her immediate view, but decided that there was more danger and more to lose if the silo caught fire.
"SAVE THE SILO!" she bellowed. Field forgotten, the tall mare shouldered through the plants to get to the silo.

Taend was slow, but he wasn't as acutely aware as he was now.
Just as he went to follow the valkyrie others dove into the fray others dashed forward. With a snort he jumped back and moved away, putting out whatever fires came near. He up turned dirt with strikes of his hooves and his axe, trying desperately to beat back the flames.
He flashes his awareness from his task and the group running into the flames, ready to leap to help at a moment's notice. He was only stirred from his frantic task at the scream of a soot streaked farmer. The farmer screaming how their family was trapped within the fire. Also at that exact moment, another appears with warnings of the silo under threat. A curse falls from his lips. So much to do, so little time.
He spins on his heel and breaks into a gallop following close behind the young, tan mare. He shouts over the rushing of the wind "What are we going to do once we get there?"

CHIRIN
It had taken Chirin a fraction of a second to long to stop when a wall of stone shot up in front of his path, the result being his basically slammed right into it, sparing only a fleeting moment to turn his head away or else his horn would have shattered completely. He fell onto his side, the smoke and the impact briefly knocking the air from his lungs. Coughing, the colt got to his feet, bristling, knowing full-well who had stopped him. He glared at the Valkyrie, "I was gonna make it! I had everything timed!" he shouted as the small mare put out the fire around them.
"Are you crazy? Just because you were blessed by Cascade doesn't automatically make you fireproof!"
He opened his mouth to shout again when Gaster angrily interrupted him, giving Chirin a fierce headache that caused the colt to flinch away from the pain.
Disapproval - Scolding - Angry - Demanding
It felt like a parent verbally lashing at their child's stupidity. Like how the other older horses had gotten angry with him about Gaster earlier. It... made Chirin feel bad. Guilty.
"We gotta work together, okay?"
Chirin looked around him, seeing the walls of fire that now surrounded himself and a Valkyrie, all because he wanted to play hero. He could have gotten her killed. He was so stupid! Why he thought that no one would chase after a CHILD who ran into a fire was beyond him. Gaster hadn't been a fan of his idea and was simply obeying an order. But now that the colt had been called out on it, he was more than happy to help with the discipline.
The roan colt hung his head in shame and was about to offer Addeva an apology when the three older horses from before met them in the fire, a Force Field shimmering against the blaze. He avoided their gazes and physically tried to make himself smaller.
He only barely listened to what the scarred older mare was saying. It was no doubt something about him and his dumb idea.
Then the group was moving again, though more rushed this time. Something about trapped farmers?
Chirin thought it best to just stay out of their way and made his way out of the fire where the other Farmer and Merchant in their group was still trying to put out a blaze with hoof-fulls of dirt. Making himself useful, he pitched in. The tan mares shout nearly gave Chirin a heart attack.
"SAVE THE SILO!"
His head spun around, "What Silo?!"
then his eyes located the tall structure, now threatened by stray embers, "Oh... Never mind! Found it!"
Hesitantly, the colt started to follow the other two adults, his pace slowing slightly as his eyes traveled over the scene in front of him. A silo ready to burn. Silto's contained grain, mostly. Grain was fl-WAIT. GRAIN WAS FLAMIBLE!! And to make matters worse it was to close to buildings for anyone to be comfortable with. If that silo ignited it's explosion would a pure catastrophe.
They needed to keep the silo from catching fire, but they also needed to protect the houses behind it! He had an idea.
Breaking into a sprint to catch up with the other two, Chirin kept pace with them as he spoke, "Hey! Uhhh- I have in idea about how we could hopefully save the silo! And I thought it through this time, kind of!" he told them with a lopsided smile, "If that thing falls, it'll crush the houses! You need something to take most of the force but also something really big, cuz that silo isn't exactly small! Fortunately, we already have something that can do both! Well..... Someone, actually!"
He could see the realisation flash over their faces and quickly added, "Don't worry!! I'll keep him in check this time, I promise! He wont move, I swear on both of my parent's graves!"
He veered to the left slightly to avoid tripping over a small rock then fell back in beside the two, "Then there is me! I could continuously cover the silo with REALLY thick frost. It won't be ICE but it's as close as I can get. I'd need to be pretty close to it though... like.. Right beside it. If I get enough layers it'll look like it got snowed on!"
As the group neared the silo he gave them both an uneasy smile, "But .... that's just my idea. It's up to you."
