Karanila Serora - Windracer As soon as Karanila popped into the Oasis she took off leaving others to yell rudely in her dust but she did not mind them. She had run all morning as soon as she heard about the teleport point coming to her area for the day. Her mother, Asavana, had sent her in her stead - the Screamers were concocting another assault on an Aodh invader transport and could not make it in time. Just as well - Asavana would have probably caused much more uproar flapping about searching for Sarthak. He had traveled to the Oasis with the rest of their caravan when the Aodhians and War Forged had attacked while a quarter of them, including Karanila and Asavana, had gone into movement, hiding and picking off supplies meant for the invaders. She careened right by her father in her desperation to find him, but he saw the blood bay and cream blur that was his daughter and reared up, calling her name. She skid to a halt, tossing a bit of dirt onto some foals who cheered when the recognized her. She winked at them before spinning on her heal to run into her father. "Oh, you're safe!" she said, relieved. "So are you," Sarthak said. "And your mother? Where's your mother?"
"She's fine. Her band of Screamers is raiding an Aodh transport and she can't come to the teleportation point set up for today - they have to keep them all on the move so the invaders don't find us. I'm not even ranked to know the next time I'll be in an area with a teleporter-"
Sarthak pressed his forehead to his daughter's. "It's fine. You're both okay."
Karanila took deep gulps of air and nodded. "I expect you want to check on some friends?" the Creator horse asked. Karanila nodded. "I heard Uluru's okay, and I've heard from a few others, but I haven't gotten a correspondence from Acuna..."
"I saw her family down by the waterfall this morning." At her hesitation he chuckled. "Go, I'm alright. Our caravan is just down there." He pointed with a forehoof at a collection of tents set up in the shade. Karanila hugged her father again, touching her neck to his, then raced off in the direction of the waterfall.

"Dream big, fall far."
The afternoon couldn't have come any sooner. The showers from the blessed skies above had soaked the Oasis which were now in shambles due to the war outside its walls.
The waterfalls were pooling now into a river, as Acuna's family had set up a few days prior. It had been a while since Acuna had seen so many horses in one location, and she wanted out of there. To be able to fight with the screamers and the furies was a dream of hers. But she wasn't a pegasus and she never would be. Alya's curse would be placing her with a troubled family who couldn't free her from the mess, to allow her mother to birth a wingless child and to live on the ground. She wasn't a fan - walking everywhere but there was nothing she could do about the problem. But there was one thing that kept her mind off having no wings, her friend Karanila. It had been ages since she had last seen the appaloosa, as fast as any horse she had ever seen. Acuna had hoped Kara had not been captured by Aodh and turned into a slave, that's what she found out through the gossip.
Those who hadn't made it were fighting or caught by Aodh.
"Brat." A snarly and stern voice spoke from behind her, causing Acuna to look.
"What do you want mother?" Acuna raised an eyebrow, her body shifting to glance at her dam. Her mother's dark coat almost seemed to camouflage her into the shade of the falls. Acuna's mother was awful, incredibly scary. But she hid that fear via her anger, it was the only way to show that she wasn't going to win. Not now. Not ever.
"Come help your siblings and I with organising the shop." The mother snorted, her ears flicking back at the disgust of her child.
"I was heading off actually, to find Kara. Not like you care anyway."
"You're right. I don't care."
Acuna nodded with a condescending laugh, which seemed to piss off the older horse. Before the older equine could lunge at her to bite at her rump, Acuna dashed out of there towards the teleporter . If she was just outside the Oasis, maybe she could welcome her in like Kara would for her. She just hoped nothing bad happened to her or her family. They were nice people. Certainly a lot nicer than her own.

Karanila Serora - Windracer Here? No, there? No, that horse is champagne dun - not Acuna. Karanila poked her head in tents, ducked under builders, and leapt over crates. Where was her friend? Had that evil mother horse left her behind on purpose? She snorted at her own thought. No way, her father wouldn't allow it. That's when she bumped into Acuna's mother. "Oof!" Karanila grunted. "I'm so sorry, I- Oh. Coleit. Hi." She was stunned into a somewhat polite greeting. "Hmph!" Coleit dusted herself off and picked up the basket of goods she had been carrying. "Watch where you're going, adrenaline junkie."
Karanila blinked. Gee sooooooorry, she thought. What bit your butt today? Aloud she asked, "Glad to see you made it. Uh, where's Acuna?" She looked around Coleit for her amber champagne snowflake appaloosa friend, but only saw Yance and Acuna's siblings setting up the family shop for the afternoon. Coleit sniffed and looked down her nose at the pintaloosa. "That lazy brat is looking for you." She turned and walked away, swishing her tail. "Wait, she what? You mean she's outside?"
Coleit was either too far away to hear or was ignoring her as usual. Karanila pinned her ears and half turned, imitating the sour mare's words silently and sticking her tongue out at the end. She rolled her eyes then took off back in the direction of the teleporters. She pranced in line waiting with groups of other Serorans looking to either leave or get out to check on loved ones. She bobbed her head. She swished her tail. She leaned over to inspect how far they had left to go. "Come on, come on..."
Finally, it was her turn and she jumped into the designated area for the next group traveling out of the Oasis. The transporter verified that everyone was ready and then POP! they were gone.

A c u n a "Dream big, fall far."
Acuna had been outside for the last 15 minutes searching around the entrance and near the Oasis. Her chunky body moved towards each rock and bush with ease, the mud climbing her legs gradually due to every step she took. Acuna was sure she had seen kara, until she realised it was another equine making their travels to Oasis. With a heavy sigh, she kept looking. " Acuna!" A voice called from behind her and her head turned, it was an equine she had come across during her time in Oasis who apparently, knew her family fairly well. The mare smiled and trotted towards the other equine. "Have you seen Kara? I'm trying to look for her.." Acuna spoke with gentleness in her tone, this horse not needing the same toned response as she gave her mother earlier. The older equine chuckled, their ears swivelling forward. With a breathy sigh, the equine responded.
"Kara went inside not too long ago."
Acuna's facial expression went from a bright smile to an expression which seemed like she didn't register properly. The mare's irises shrunk as she yelled out. "She what now?"
" She went inside. Kara was looking for you."
Acuna had never turned on her heels faster, racing back towards the teleporter. If she had missed her best friend by a few seconds, surely she'd realise Acuna was outside of the Oasis. Hopefully, Kara and Acuna would bump into each other.

Karanila Serora - Windracer Karanila popped into place and took off running, weaving side to side as she turned searching for Acuna. Luck was on her side because not a few moments after she popped into place did she spy the familiar pounding run of her mixed breed friend heading straight at the teleporter. Karanila squealed in delight and relief, tossing her head. She double tapped the ground with her forehooves and raced towards her friend, tail and head high. "Acunaaaaaa!"
Laughing and ignoring the eye rolls from others Karanila leapt up to her friend, throwing her front hooves around the other the way she would use teke hands to grasp something. She hugged her friend fiercely and they teetered, dancing around each other, connected yet precariously upright. "I missed you!" Karanila declared, finally coming back down to all fours. "How have you been? Was traveling to the Oasis hard? Did any of the invaders catch up to you?" In her flurry of questions Karanila pranced around her friend, looking her over for scrapes. "Oh if they even bruised you tell me who did it - lemme at 'em!" She barely took a breath between questions such was her excitement. She still wore the straps of her harness, but no saddlebags were attached. Those were hidden safely away with her windracer board, tucked into a crevice not far away in the Valley of Melodies. If she needed anything they would take no time to locate, but she had wanted to travel faster without the burden of the board and supplies for the day.
