Irusu: An Explosion
By the good Gods, finally this moment was here! Standing near their headpoint, she could sigh out in relief. Irusu looked at her team proudly, and a part of her eager to be done with this and have some personal her time. While she enjoyed them, she missed her own headspace and peace. Still the runts were good, and heck she hadn’t killed any of them yet, so an added bonus, of course. Irusu sighed deeply. “Alright we all know the drill here. We have to move quick, we have to be precise, this is not a time to lose your nervous, otherwise… Boom, we’re all dead.” a toothy grin grew on her face, something about it made it seem like this would be the exact way she’d want to go out.
“Any questions at all? Anyone wanna go running back to their mama? Ain’t no shame in turning around, but don’t be made if we make jokes about you for the rest of your sad life.” she chuckled hotly at them, nostrils flared as she shifted her shoulders, allowing the bag to rustle softly. A fine reminder of the explosives she had within them. While she joked, she took this mission seriously and once everyone got their concerns and nerves out of the way they could begin. She tried to poke and prod at them, to get them to lash out, trying to get anything that would jeopardize the mission out of their system. Some would think it cruel, Irusu assumed it was tough love, and like hell she was gonna let some punk ruin her chance with some explosions

Mateusz "I can feel my enemy begin to fear my drum I am ready when it comes to pain, I'm numb I can tell you things you won't believe I've done I kill to feel alive."
The red unicorn was admittedly excited for the rescue mission. The ex-smuggler had done many just like this, and in an almost bored fashion, switched the staff over in his teke.
His time on the 'road' was nothing much. He had been travelling all over the place these past few months, and he was beginning to grow restless waiting around a home for the mere weeks he had. But in that time, he had grown unusually close to the kirin that stood practically attached at the hip. He would refuse to admit his affections aloud without the aid of some booze, but until then the two (three?) have been able to learn from one another. At this point, it would be no surprise that they could read each other like a book.
Teu cleared his throat, a soft sigh passing his lips. "I'm good here, darling," he said, his voice coming out as a clear, slowed whisper. His eyes found themselves wandering back to the blue-scaled equine, as they often did nowadays. The unicorn's tail lashed as if batting away at the non-existent flies. It was a small sign of reassurance, letting it cross lightly over Caivarus' for a split second. Then he looked away, back toward the mare who would lead them to battle.

╬ ⧖ C A I V A R U S ⧖ ╬ "I didn't care if he was a genius or a fucking idiot, he was rotting away, and it wasn't fun to watch." TW: Light Mentions of Self Harm Thoughts
Why were they here? What made them come all this way? Had it just been Teu? Just the fact they- Varus, didn't want to be separated? It honestly made Varus ashamed, left him shaking, unable to meet anyone's gaze. He had nothing useful here. If anything, he just- He felt like he stuck out like a sore hoof. Maybe- Maybe with his own scales, a dark, rich purple, that could blend in with the rock and stone, he would be fine. But these green- These scales, that were not his own- They just-
The scales burned, they itched, they ached, and he longed to claw at them, to rip and tear until they came free from his skin. But that would make him more useless, and Caius would shout at him. And his voice couldn't even grow sore.
Tensions between the two souls were at an all-time high, since Varus had denounced Ignacio and turned to Argus. Before there had been a tense, but calm sense of peace between them. Strained, but manageable, made bearable by Teu's presence. Now there was simmering anger, as Caius was holding a grudge against the other, refusing to believe Ignacio had been wrong all those centuries ago, and Varus was left shaking, unable to hide from the other's sharp words and accusations.
Anxiously chewing on the metal end of his pipe, teke constantly pulling on the warm scarf around their neck in an attempt to avoid the teke finding a place on their scales, only to rip and pull, Varus didn't expect to hear anyone speak. Teke faltering, he nearly dropped the pipe, catching it before it hit the ground and tucking his head down, lightly biting the fabric, again to redirect his attention. He should let Caius have control. He couldn't fight. Caius could fight. But he was afraid of what would happen- What might happen to Teu, if he did, considering Caius' anger.
"Stupid fuckin- Stop fumbling. Listen to her, or you're gonna get us both killed. I'd rather not be dead in a physical sense, being dead to Ignacio is already enough for me, even though that's not my fault," Caius spat, causing the other to flinch.
Varus stood shaking, his gaze on the stone below him. He couldn't tune him out. It wasn't that easy. Pipe clenched tightly between his teeth, sucking in a sharp, smoke filled breath, Varus felt the touch on their tail, returning it with seeking out Teu's tail in return, just gently resting it on his. He couldn't say they were alright. He wasn't. They weren't-
"We're just fucking peachy here, lets just get on with it so Varus can crawl back to his hole," Caius snarled out firmly, but quietly, wrenching control for long enough to finally make eye contact with the other equine. Varus needed to stop being a spineless wimp. They were actually doing something worthwhile for once. It wasn't for Aodh, or for Ignacio, but it was a hell of a lot better than sitting around folding paper in a smoke hazed room.

Y O Z O R A Male | Arisen | Kawaru Briem
Barren head slowly lifted. The days in the cell had seemed to all meld into one long dreamy nightmare. On the side, it had been boring as hell, but on the other he'd been able to listen and gather a touch of intel from the guards they dropped off their rations and stood ever watchful at the door. Mischievous and calculating eyes took in the setting around him for the what seemed like, millionth time, flopping back on the stone floor with an annoyed breath. At least he had a cell mate. Being alone in this solitude would have driven him mad, had it not been for Arges. Head slowly lifted, blue somewhat transparent horn catching any light that moved about.
"Hmm, seems like little birds might be right soon... I do miss the pitter patter of the world outside." A calm foreshadowing to the events he hoped the sources had been right about. Today was supposed to be the day, yes?

Yuki and Hikaru
Yuki trotted along happily with her excitement growing. After almost a month of traversing the tunnels, the group was almost at their destination. She glanced at Hikaru who looked utterly unamused, and proceeded to roll her eyes at them. While she could understand her twin's attitude, it was still mildly irritating. It had been far too long since Irusu had invited the pair to come along one a mission, and Yuki for one was absolutely thrilled to be out and about.
Irusu's voice snapped the mule from her thoughts, and she listened intently as her mentor spoke. “Alright we all know the drill here. We have to move quick, we have to be precise, this is not a time to lose your nervous, otherwise… Boom, we’re all dead. Any questions at all? Anyone wanna go running back to their mama? Ain’t no shame in turning around, but don’t be made if we make jokes about you for the rest of your sad life."
Yuki couldn't hold back the laugh that had built up in her throat as the older mare spoke, and it came out in a strained giggle as she spoke. "You know me, I'm not going anywhere." She smirked. Hikaru on the other hoof simply nodded in reply before glaring at their twin.
"There's a time and a place for that." They hissed quietly in their twin's ears before glancing around at the others. While Yuki had enjoyed the massive amounts of company during their month long trek to Kibirie, being around so many equines had worn on Harkaru greatly. Instead of mingling, they had remained focused on the mission at hoof, occasionally going over things with Irusu to ensure they had all the information they needed, as well as helping maintain the integrity of the explosives. They'd had a hoof in creating them after all, and that was, at the end of the day, where Hikaru's talents lied.
The duo glanced over at the bay stranger and his kirin companion as they responded to Irusu's statement in kind. The pair were interesting and seemed to keep to themselves most of the journey. Yuki had tried to converse with them a few times over the month, but Hikaru's wariness tended to force more distance between them. Still, they were willing to work with them if it meant completing the mission.

Arges | Driven
His mind was buzzing. It had been for months since the arrest. Anah had been confiscated and without what was quite literally his security blanket, Arges had lost his crutch. He didn't pay much mind to the business around him. They'd find a way to clear their names. He was sure of it. Often, Arges would lay and pray silently, sometimes to Argus, sometimes to the open airs. The more time passed he cared less and less who answered. Though his skin would grow hot, the only thing keeping him from exploding in the cell was Yozora. Sharing company with the Arisen was comforting. The Driven was nervous however of what the unicorn thought of him. After all, he did burst into flames at will. He couldn't tell if he did it for his own comfort or out of consideration for his cellmate, but Arges gave Yozora a wide berth, not wanting to make obvious the excessive heat that now constantly emanated from him.
Arges broke his blank staring as Yozora spoke. The pit of his stomach churned. Turning his tired gaze to the unicorn Arges spoke telepathically, "Little birds do not drag attention to their nest". Perhaps they had different morals. Of course Arges wanted to be free. But he wanted freedom through compromise, not chaos.

Vincent Outcast 546 words | Post I
Not for the last time, Vincent wondered what the hell was he doing here. He hadn't exactly wanted to be part of this mission, but after months of living on his own and barely interacting with other horses, he admitted that it was nice. Vincent was still surprised at how easily he was accepted in this rather serious mission - one of their rescues was to be one of the Arisen after all - but for all his observation, he still found it hard to understand the power struggle between the two Breimian factions. Perhaps they saw something in him. Or perhaps he was just being a pretentious fool yet again. He would not admit it, but the kirin was mildly interested in getting Yozora back. The unicorn had been one of the few figures he more or less recognized. For a second, he wondered if this was how Shep felt going on missions with Vance, back in what was so long ago but felt like less than a year for Vincent. He doubted it would have been a stealth mission like this - you cant expect a wyvern to be quiet - but the month of training reminded him of his brief, failed attempt to become a dragon hoplite all those years ago. These... Horses, the non-kirins, weren't as harsh as his first mentors had been, and Vincent was torn between being relieved and scoffing at them for it. He huffed, pining his ears back for a moment as he chased the memories away. The memories ached. Vincent had always been a loner, but because he'd had Shep, he never found himself lacking anything. Until his entire world had been ripped away from him. After all these months, he hoped the pain had faded away, but it was as raw as ever. Vincent distracted himself by checking out what his companions were up to. Irusu seemed to be getting excited at the knowledge they were finally getting closer (he rolled his eyes at her words), while the curious-looking horse that was Yuki and Hikaru chatted with her. He also took note of Caivarus and the bay horse who usually stood by their side. It had been hard to conceal his shock the first time he had seen the kirin. He had known there were others about (he had heard the King's Call after all), but sometimes it still felt like he was the last of his kind. It brought Vincent a measure of comfort that there were others like him still around. He sighed, staring at the rocky path beneath his hooves, missing the comfortable weight of his long, thin antlers. Probably the quietest of the group, he'd maybe said a word or two to each of his companions during meetings and training, though there were moments, like now, that he wished he'd gotten to know them better. If only to figure out what made these horses tick. At least they were almost there. The hypocrisy of the situation was not lost to the kirin - hadn't he refused the King's call on grounds of not fighting someone else's war? - but now that they were closer, Vincent couldn't quite ignore the prickle of excitement at the thought of finally getting it done. Perhaps this time he would not fail. Maybe.

Mateusz "I can feel my enemy begin to fear my drum I am ready when it comes to pain, I'm numb I can tell you things you won't believe I've done I kill to feel alive."
Teu's eyes darted quickly over to the kirin as he snapped out a response. His own lips peeled back in a snarl, hind leg lifting as if threatening to kick if he continued to act up. "Caius, figure your shit out or put it away--I need you right now," he growled, tilting his head to ensure he stared the stallion in the eye. Varus may have control, but he knew Caius could see him.
He didn't quite know what had happened between them, but he noticed the change like one notices an oncoming storm. Teu cared for both souls deeply, but he wasn't afraid to admit that the more assertive of the two was acting like a petty toddler who didn't get his favorite toy.
Nonetheless, they had a mission.
The unicorn straightened, stepping forward with staff in hand. "Remind me, why are we... blowing things up? Can't I just pick the lock and let them slip out undetected?" He had known of the plan for several days now, but as they neared the destination he realized just how risky it was. He was a smuggler--or at least, he used to be--and he was trained to be undetectable and silent. "I fear they may be caught in the crossfire."

Eos | Citizen
Eos was a ball of anger and nervousness, be it a small one. They had spent the last few months, alone and sad and angry without their uncle and their papa out of reach. They had sobbed and screamed and perhaps destroyed a thing or two and thrown paint all over the place, only to look apathic to those outside their home. When they caught wind of the escape plan they wanted in and they hadn’t taken no for answer. They were getting their uncle back, even if it meant walking into a prison themself.
Motivation adequatly fueled as it might, they were all nerves nonetheless, practically shaking on their hooves as those around them tossed around jabs and language they weren’t quite used to. It annoyed them, they just wanted to get moving and the emotions made them snap. “This isn’t a joke, let’s just get started,” as they threw around glares, almost shouldering into one of the fellow planners as they put word into action and took a few step forwards. No chitchat, work. The sooner they were reunited with their uncle the better. For now they were ready, scowl firmly etched into place.

IrusuTrust the wolves but never tell them where you're going Maybe they have all spent to long together, perhaps this journey had been a bit madding? "Alright alright, ya all settle your damn nerves. No this aint no joke, so settle it down. The last thing we need is to get all pissed off before we get started sheesh." she sighed shaking her head. What mess did they all manage to get into.
Iurus nodded to their apprentice, two sides of a coin they were, but we thankful to have them along for the trip, someone that perhaps could remind her to not throw a bomb and just hope for the best. Though Irusu turned her attention Mateusz "You're not the first to think and ask that question." she remarked with a roll of her shoulders. "Most tried to find a way to deal the less damage and get out us all out in shape, and sadly, that way ain't a option. To smuggle them out while avoiding more guards and the sort, well its far more of a risk then this. We secured this back road tunnel, why it took so damn long to get here, but this is our best chance. Our only chance. Plus its a matter of principle, ever action has a reaction no matter what." she grinned coldly as she looked to the team.
Irusu looked at the back wall of Fort Agate Prison with distaste, nostrils flared as she nearly snarled on the spot. "Since we are all on the same page hopefully, and cooling off. Lets start with the basic real quick, does anyone here have a blessing? Bring anything useful with them? We are going to need to get in contact with others through this big as wall of stone." she grinned. Let them figure out a puzzle, its good team work she thought as she looked to them wondering if any would have an answer.

╬ ⧖ C A I V A R U S ⧖ ╬ "I didn't care if he was a genius or a fucking idiot, he was rotting away, and it wasn't fun to watch." Caius saw the lifted leg and responded by fixing Teu with a sharp stare, his lips curled to show their teeth. He would tell him that they couldn’t exactly figure their shit out or put it away, thanks to Varus, thanks to Argus, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to maintain control for long enough to fight all of the equines here off if he decided to just blatantly go around hissing about how horrible Argus and the blessing he put on Varus was...
Varus wasn’t fighting him for control here, and he found that odd. The other soul was practically invisible now, but Caius could feel the tug of the shared consciousness still. Taking out their staff, he placed the end of it on the stone with a small tap. “I have a staff and I know how to use it, as long as I keep control. The other soul in here has fuckin’ dream walking of all blessings.” He ground out. It was one thing to get a blessing from a god who wasn’t Ignacio. It was another thing for the blessing itself to be something that useless and childish. Asking for a blessing so he could stop having nightmares, what a waste.
”That blessing won’t do shit unless those others are asleep. And I don’t want to be here for that long.” He continued, lashing their tail. Where had Varus gone? “Why aren’t you saying shit?" He hissed under his breath to the other.
“...”
Snorting, Caius shrugged. “Fine, stay quiet, probably better for both of us if you just don’t say anything else.” He hissed again to the other soul.

Vincent Outcast 250 words || Post II
The kirin remained quiet, as usual, looking at the path ahead but watching Caivarus and Mateusz' little exchanges out of the corner of his eye with what might have been amusement. The drama was more interesting than the road anyway. Vincent hummed, partially interested when the teenager spoke up. " She's got a point." He said to no one in particular, but speaking at all was unusual of him. Then, Irusu began detailing the reasoning for their mission a little more. Vincent didn't particularly care, watching the wall of the Prison come ever so closer. He flashed to the great War, and how he had survived the initial attack likely due to sheer luck (and maybe a dose of Shep coming to his rescue). If this mission had any silver lining, it was that it taught him how to fight, something Vincent had been very resistant on doing since being kicked out of the Hoplites. Then, when Irusu inquired about the blessings, Vincent's humor soured yet again. He had blessings, once. He could manipulate shadows, mold them into what he desired, use them to his advantage. He could control lightning with the flick of an ear. And now he had nothing. He was a sorry excuse for a blank slate, nothing to work with but with his memories intact. " Nothing." He said at last, looking away from Irusu, accidentally catching the conjoined twins' eyes. He quickly looked down, pinning his ears to his back for a second, before refocusing on Irusu.

Yuki and Hikaru
Hikaru nodded in agreement as Eos spoke. "Indeed." They added quietly, shooting a disproving glance at their all too giddy twin. They dipped their head slightly towards Vincent in acknowledgement of the kirin's statement as well.
"Since we are all on the same page hopefully, and cooling off. Lets start with the basic real quick, does anyone here have a blessing? Bring anything useful with them? We are going to need to get in contact with others through this big as wall of stone."
Irusu's strong voice was difficult to ignore, and both Hikaru and Yuki turned to look at her as she spoke.
"No blessings here." Yuki said with a slight shrug. "But I suppose you already knew that." She added with a cheeky grin, leading Hikaru to roll their eyes once more. This was serious, and they were tired of Yuki treating this more like some kind of a game. It was almost infuriating.
"I don't think I have anything in my pack that would be of much use either unfortunately..." Hikaru said with a small sigh, mentally kicking themself for not thinking further ahead and packing more tools that would have assisted. "I'm sorry Irusu." They added, lowering their head in shame. Yuki snorted at her twin's apologetic display and nipped their neck harshly.
"Oh pull yourself together." She said, an edge of irritation creeping into her own voice as Hikaru apologized. It wasn't as if Irusu had brought anymore than they had, and realistically, the three of them had all packed for the journey together, leaving her to wonder just why their twin was feeling any kind of guilt whatsoever.
Shaking her head, Yuki turned to the youngest of the group who'd come along despite Irusu's warnings. "What about you? Did the gods bless you with anything useful?" She asked, tilting her head ever so slightly before turning to the others as she continued. "And does anyone know if our rescuees may have been blessed with anything that could assist in their own escape?" She added curiously. Hikaru nodded in approval of their twin's question, relieved to see she was at least thinking critically about some of this.

Mateusz "I can feel my enemy begin to fear my drum I am ready when it comes to pain, I'm numb I can tell you things you won't believe I've done I kill to feel alive."
Teu of course bared his own teeth toward Caivarus--it was common for both him and Caius to get into snarling fits with one another anyways. But he didn't say anything else to address the kirin, and instead looked to Irusu.
"At least being sneaky could offer us a delayed reaction, dear. Blowing things up only gets things messy." Teu looked into his pack, spotting the dark purple and black cloth he had used primarily as a blanket. He had purchased it a few months prior when he was randomly thrown into Nariah, and had used it to shield himself and his companion from watchful eyes.
He didn't think it would be of any use.
"Just some basic weaponry for the journey. I hope I don't need to use it?" He stared toward Irusu. "We could cause a diversion and draw some of the guards out. I can grab the Arisen and the Driven and then you can blow whatever the hell you wish." He looked to Caivarus, seeing Caius' personality within the way he stood, taking hold of their body with absolute confidence. He nudged the kirin, attempting to draw a bit more out of him--it wasn't often he was 'out,' and as a result Mateusz didn't know much of just how reliant he could be. "Keep your head."

Y O Z O R A Male | Arisen | Kawaru Briem
A slow smirk turned the unicorns lips up. Thoughts turned to the conversation within their minds, letting the other speak with him were Arges seemed to feel safer. "But wouldn't it be more fun, to draw attention and then suddenly vanish? Like an old magician's trick." His voice was smooth, calm and collected, as if laying in this dirty cell wasn't the biggest bore in the world.
Teal eyes turned to the door, watching the shadow shift hooves as their back ones seemed to get tired. "With us being 'model' prisoners, they have become secure and bored. A bit of excitement would brighten their day, don't you think?" Maybe it was the boredom that was edging at Yozora's mind or maybe it was just who he was... But whatever it was, the unicorn could feel his mischievous side itching to come loose, come free and have something to do. Being stationary was fun and yet incredibly boring.
Today had to be the day.

╬ ⧖ C A I V A R U S ⧖ ╬ "I didn't care if he was a genius or a fucking idiot, he was rotting away, and it wasn't fun to watch." Snorting lightly, Caius watched the others around them speak and add their own thoughts. The two-headed equine captured his interest, and he couldn’t help but thank Ignacio that he and Varus hadn’t been... Reborn as that. It was bad enough to be stuck in each other’s heads, but to be able to physically go after one another, and need to work together for walking or other tasks... Ugh.
Ears crossed back in an annoyed manner, head high, neck arched, Caius cast a side glance to Teu upon getting nudged. “I’m the only one in here who still has,” He gruffly replied back, tapping the side of their head with the end of the staff. “I’m not the one you want to be telling that to, I’m just trying to keep him from getting us killed,” he added at the end.
Tail lashing, he snorted again. Now he was getting unnerved. Varus didn’t usually do this. “The fuck you doing.” He hissed again quietly. He wanted to be in control, be his own person, but having the other soul go entirely silent was unusual and it worried him to an extent. This was unusually long for him to be in control.
”...Y-You’re... The one who’s worried about appearances...” Varus just whispered hoarsely.
”What? That’s what this is about?” Brows furrowed, Caius bared the corner of their fangs, lip curling slightly. What was Varus talking about?
”...”
”Varus, you fuckin-“ Caius sucked in a sharp breath through their teeth, hissing lightly. “Just don’t take control from me during this. We’ll talk later about whatever the fuck you’re doing, just let me handle this so we don’t die.” He stepped forward a bit, “Let’s just get going. If we want to do his,” he gestured to Teu, “idea with causing a distraction and then the boom, I’m game for it. I’d gladly assist in the distraction, I need something to do.”

IrusuTrust the wolves but never tell them where you're going Teke was out rubbing the side of her head as she listened to the group their thoughts and ideas. As great as it was, it was decided already what was to be done, they had secured this back tunnel, had watched it for long to ensure it was fully theirs. "We don't have time to back track out of this tunnel and up front. We are wasting time, and our time frame is thinning out." she nearly barked. She was getting annoyed now and watching this group struggle with sudden connection was frustration.
"Fuck this!" she bristled up as she got up the wall and kicked it a few times. "Listen here you little shits, we are gonna put an explosive back here and if ya all ain't far back enough I'll tell your family something fucking heroic." she nearly laughed. Soon she kicked a few times at the wall and looked at the group.
"Place the bombs get them ready, we need two swift movers to get in, help them out. Have weapons ready in case of guards. We need to move now." she looked to them. No more questions no more other ideas. "Come on get to work. Someone stand close to the wall in case they try to talk back to us Otherwise, get the explosives secure and the runners ready to leap in and out." she remarked. Irusu dropped her supplies digging out the explosives and flammable wick that will lead to the impending bomb.

Arges | Driven
Arges felt his stomach turn. For one who put himself in the spotlight so frequently between work and stupid stunts, he hated standing out. All the Driven wanted was their moment to speak and work things out quietly. Just for this whole thing to blow over. Except the plan was to blow it up. Arges moved up to the front of the cell and stuck himself in the corner. He just wasn't sure. Wasn't sure about anything. "If I felt they needed their day 'brightened', I'd light myself on fire." Agitation began to creep into his mental tone. His gaze was unfocused, burning yellow eyes staring ahead at nothing. If something were to happen today, how could he keep it from ruining the lives of everyone at home? Arges flicked his eyes to Yozora for a second. How could he look so pleased?
The dusty brown horse looked straight ahead once more. The tension was becoming more obvious. Thin strands of smoke curled up from his hooves, thickening and waning with his deepening breaths. A thought came crawling into his mind. He didn't want this. He didn't want any of this. His body shuddered as it sucked in a ragged breath. A slight tremble was visible on the horse. Eyes still staring ahead into nothingness. The smell of smoke reaching into his nostrils. With an urgent tone he reached Yozora's mind again, "This was a mistake"

Yuki and Hikaru
A subtle grin grew across Hikaru's otherwise stoic face as Irusu finally snapped, kicking the dense, stone wall of the prison hard before barking out orders. This is what they were here for. What they'd traveled a month to do. A strange sense of excitement began to bubble up under the surface of their emotions as they turned to Yuki, nodding as they reached into their over sized leather pack to pull out the large explosive they'd been entrusted with carrying.
Stepping forward until they reached the wall, the pair searched for potential weak points, anything that may make entry into the prison cell easier. Hikaru paused for a moment, tapping the wall in a few places with their forehoof, noticing a crack that seemed to run up the height of the wall.
"Here." They said with a slight nod, gingerly setting the explosive in place before securing it firmly to the wall. "We're all set when you are." They added, scrutinizing their handiwork closely before turning to Irusu.
Yuki nodded in agreement with their twin, pausing for a moment to place his large ear against the wall, listening for the rescuees on the other side. "Lets just hope our friends there got the memo..." He muttered absentmindedly, kicking the wall a few times himself for good measure. If he they were lucky, they'd hear him. Looking around the group his eyes fell on the few who hadn't yet answered Irusu's question. "If any of you have anything that could make any of this easier, speak now or forever hold your peace." Nodding as if in affirmation of his own statement, he looks to his twin as the pair slowly makes their way a safe distance from the soon to be destroyed wall.
Turning to Irusu, Yuki motions towards the explosive on the wall. "It should be already for you to perform your magic, if you just wanna double check it and make sure it all looks right." He adds with a cautious nod, glancing down at his missing leg. Hikaru frowned slightly at the implication of Yuki's request, but nodded in agreement nonetheless. After all, it had been their fault Yuki lost his leg, and they understood their twin's caution.

Vincent Outcast 328 words || Post III
Vincent watched as Irusu seemed to get even more agitated, Caivarus argued with themselves, and the gates coming even closer. His eyebrows raised in amusement at their leader once she finally lost her patience. " Easy there, Kingsguard, you were the one to ask", Vincent pointed out, before shrugging and as the explosives were put in their correct places - strange little devices that they were. " Can't blame 'em for telling you what they think." Except maybe Caivarus, but then again, Vincent didn't have another soul fighting to control his body. Ugh. That'd have been bad. He pondered on Irusu's words for a while though, as he pulled his axe and readied his sword. He had practiced so hard for this moment. Vincent still had no idea of how he had gotten himself involved in this silly power dispute between the Umare and the Kawaru, but now that he was in, he desperately wanted to prove that he had what it took. Who he wanted to impress was anyone's guess - they were all dead at this point anyway - but the feeling took hold of him, giving him new strength and letting the adrenaline kick in. A new fire burned in his dark eyes. " I would be willing to be one of the ones to go inside to get them." Vincent piped up after Hikaru and Yuki were done. " It would be good to have a partner that is familiar with them, but I'm fast and I couldn't care less about detours." The kirin shrugged. " I just want to get this done." It was clear from his voice that Vincent didn't intend to force anyone to accept him as part of the infiltration force, but he stood by, ready to do whatever Irusu agreed on. If he was to rescue this bunch of Breimians so be it. He was doing it for himself, not them. Regardless of Irusu's decision, he stood by, tail curling in anticipation, looking ready to bolt inside.

Mateusz "I can feel my enemy begin to fear my drum I am ready when it comes to pain, I'm numb I can tell you things you won't believe I've done I kill to feel alive."
He groaned inwardly as Irusu yelped out a response, wincing as she kicked the wall and continued her shout. "Amateurs," he grumbled, brow pressed down with suppressed irritation.
Nonetheless, he spun his borrowed spear, testing its weight before stepping back. He tensed, clearly unnerved with the plan but he said nothing else. There were mixed feelings, and plenty of questions. Who had arranged this, and why? He looked toward Caius, uncertain.
While he had confidence in all of their abilities, they were not trained in the art of moving live bodies from one place to another, unnoticed. But, he thought. This may not be a mission intended to go unnoticed.
The unicorn took another step back, seeming more than ready to get the hell out of there as soon as the bomb went off. His tail brushed against the blue kirin's side, despite it being the soul that had lesser feelings toward him that had dominance over their body. His stance was rather tense, but he seemed ready for whatever was to happen. He looked to Irusu a last time, but it wasn't his place to disrupt her.

╬ ⧖ C A I V A R U S ⧖ ╬ "I didn't care if he was a genius or a fucking idiot, he was rotting away, and it wasn't fun to watch." Sneering, baring his teeth at the small tantrum, if he could call it that, from Irusu, Caius looked to the supplies. Explosives... Those were new to him. They hadn't been around during their time, so they didn't know very well what they would do, aside from creating a large boom and lots of destruction. Hmph... Ear twitching towards Teu, catching wind of the small grumble, he gave a small huff, and the slightest nod of his head in agreement.
"Don't know the fort, don't know who we're looking for. I doubt it would be smart if I- If we decided to go in as a runner." Caius replied, resting their staff on their shoulder, watching the other kirin curiously when he said he'd be willing to go inside. Besides, even if he wanted some action, if it meant leaving the red unicorn, Varus probably would take control back again... Eyes flickering to Teu, he watched him with the spear before he mimicked his motion of stepping back. The explosives probably weren't good to stand near, even if flames and heat weren't a problem for them.
Watching the other equines curiously, observing and taking in how they moved about and worked with the explosives, the touch on their side made his brows furrow, looking at him out of the corner of his eye. Whatever... He needed to focus. First time getting some action like this in hundreds of years. Rolling their shoulders, Caius breathed in deeply, exhaling and steadying himself before maneuvering his staff in front of him and taking up his stance, a form that he'd done so many times it was as easy and natural as merely breathing.

Eos | Citizen
Eos felt their anger boil. Why did they care about damage? As long as they made it out in one piece, that was fine by them. They’d even blow up the space themselves. Then there was talk about who was going in. Why didn’t they all decide this beforehand? The wait, the chatter, it made them nervous. They pawed their hooves at the ground, moving restlesly in place. They harboured similar feeling to Vincent at least. They wanted to get this done an over with. “I’m fast,” they piped up. Not too fast actually. They were mostly agile. They weren’t aknowledging that right now though, mind set on one thing and one thing alone: getting their uncle back. “I’m going in and coming out with Uncle,” they said, clearly stubborn in this statement. It wasn’t even a request.
Their face was set to a scowl, patience snapping and they barred their teeth, looking every bit fiercy despite their age. Waiting was over, it was over minutes ago. They shouldn’t have messed with them and Eos felt no remorse. They were getting what was coming for them. “Time to go. Let’s blow this place up.”

IrusuTrust the wolves but never tell them where you're going They were finally making decisions on whether to be a runner to grab them or go. Or those to be near in case of trouble. Finally, after some yelling and other fine lady things, they were seeming like a bit of a team, this group of misfits. "Good everyone get to their place and be ready." she remarked nodding to each of them in turn. Despite the fact they all shared different views and ideas, she was pleased with this lot regardless in some odd sense. It was better to have those that thought outwards and planned on the dot, then to have a bunch of sheep following whatever.
"Let me see how you two did." she remarked. A sense of pride growing in her as she looked over their work. She seemed to be scanning it all, nostrils flared a bit as she studied it, it was something that needed to be exact, something wrong could cause a cave in, cause them all to get blown the hell up.
"Looks good." she smirked at them, a bit of pride gleaming in her eyes as she watched the twins. While they differ so greatly from one another, she did enjoy their banter, their hard work and dedication to the cause.
"Alright everyone get ready, it goes off on three." Irusu looked to them all one more time, this was the moment, something they all waited for, to free their people. to send a message. Irusu watched them move to their needed position. "One, two... three."

The explosion goes off with a loud BOOM, seemingly tearing through the thick stone wall of the prison as if it were paper. Smoke and dust linger thick in the air, and rubble is strewn across the ground, but you've broken through!
Still, a scream from inside catches you off guard. As some of the smoke clears, you manage to make out the Arisen, Yozora crumpled on the ground, blood and dirt mingling around him. It seems as if he was standing too close to the wall during the explosion and his injuries seem rather severe. This will certainly hinder the speed at which you can get away... Move quickly, carefully, and deliberately to rescue your fellow Kawaru and get out of there as quick as you can! It won't be long before the watch are hot on your heels....

Hikaru
Hikaru watched anxiously as Irusu came over to study their work. She was a tough mentor, and critical at times, but they supposed those were necessary traits in their field of work. After what seemed like an eternity, Hikaru found themself holding their breath as Irusu turned around. A smirk on her face and a glint of pride in her eye, she finally spoke. "Looks good."
Hikaru let out a sigh of relief, not even realizing they'd been holding their breath. Taking a few steps back with their twin, they waited patiently as Irusu began her countdown, leading to the all too satisfying "BOOM" they had traveled so far to experience. The ground quaked beneath their feet as smoke and dust filled the immediate area, the sound of rubble settling filling their ears. A slow grin spread across the mule's face as the smoky haze began to clear, revealing the now shattered wall before them.
Kicking some of the nearby rubble away with their forehoof, Hikaru glanced at their twin briefly before looking to Irusu awaiting further instruction.

Y O Z O R A Male | Arisen | Kawaru Briem
Eyes glinted as he looked towards Arges. He could see the flames just baring being controlled. Such an interesting trait, to be touched by the god of fire, the one they all supposedly feared. At least the other equine was interesting and kept him entertained. It was only as the more frantic words licked through his mind that the arisen finally stood. Head turned to look over his shoulder, towards the back wall of the cell. "Staying here isn't doing any of us any good-". The world suddenly exploded around him and before he could finish his sentence his world was black.
[GRAPHIC CONTENT AHEAD] The next thing he remembered was the humming in his ears and the smoke that seemed to clutch at his throat and mouth. Blood dripped down his lips, pain sparking up all around him. Glittering shards of blue gem were scattered around his head, horn broken, cracked and shattered. The right side of his face was covered in blood and shards of rock and gems. The damage extended down his neck and Shoulder, his right front leg stripped of skin and some muscle with the bone exposed. But it was intact. Hind end however had taken most of the blast and his right hind leg was missing from above the talus bone and half way up the tibia bone. It was hanging on with just strands of muscle and shredded tendons. He was out of it and the pain that his body was demanding he feel was being cancelled out by the concussion that robbed his motor skills.

Arges | Driven
Was this turning into a game? To Arges, the Arisen seemed amused by everything and far too smooth given the situation. Maybe that's what it took to ascend to the rank. Politics. Arges turned his head slightly as he heard the unicorn start to stand, just enough to keep the Arisen in his eye. Their telepathic exchange continued with Yozora. He wasn't enjoying the conversation, but he listened close to his words. Then, in an instant. The rock behind Yozora exploded forward with a loud CRACK and blinding light stinging his eyes with a flash. He only saw Yozora for a second before the flash forced his eyes shut.
Dazed. Bits of debris had flown past the Driven, a few chunks of wall had hit over his back, but other than some future bruises he looked okay. The leftover noise was muffled. It was like trying to listen through a shut door. The only thing he could hear clearly was a ringing in both ears, it was painful. Arges swayed where he stood letting his eyes adjust to the smokey room. Gods help them. Although the room spun he found himself staring at the bloodied and broken form of his cellmate. He stared at Yozora's shattered horn, the torn flesh, and pooling blood that continued to creep further from the unicorn's body. Was this nausea or rage? Those idiots.
Arges felt his stomach lurch and bile coated the inside of his mouth. Those idiots! Something made his body move. His hooves lifted up, leaving behind scorch marks and dragging blue flames up from the floor. Fire flicked up from his coat and embers flew into the air as he spun to face the newly formed hole in the wall. "DAMN YOU!" Smoke billowed from Arges' mouth as he screamed at the hazy opening. Cold blue light cast across the room as his blessing steadily took over his form. Standing still had done them no good, that was right. But this, he couldn't go through with this.

Mateusz "I can feel my enemy begin to fear my drum I am ready when it comes to pain, I'm numb I can tell you things you won't believe I've done I kill to feel alive."
The explosion had racked his entire body, but the scream that followed shook him to the core. His lips pulled back into a grimace as he leaned into the kirin beside him, eyes squeezed shut as the ringing failed to subside.
He shook his head, mane now a complete mess as he regained his composure quickly. The life of a smuggler had taught him to do so, even if one was bloodied and broken. Cold eyes lifted, staring accusingly toward Irusu.
They should have waited.
But there wasn't a moment to spare lingering on the past. What is done, is done. Teu spared no time running forward into the rubble, the sight of furious blue light hardly swaying him as he stepped over rocks and bits of--
Horn.
He stared down at Yozora's bloody form, eyes flickering over the wounds, back and forth. But it wasn't horror in his eyes--no, he was calculating. His jaw was clenched and his eyes were narrowed, Arges' shout only adding fuel to the literal flame.
He slammed a hoof down, the hard surface sending a vibration through his leg as the impact recoiled. He turned his head. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE, DAMN IT! Get over here and help me!" he shouted, voice echoing off of the cavern walls. There was no time, no time, no time. "You've blown off his fucking leg!"
He didn't bother looking for the missing limb. Even the best Kawaru doctors could not reattach the appendage, the wound shredded into nothing but blood and bone fragments, but the foreleg looked salvageable. Teu tore out the Umarean cloak from his saddle pouch, using the force of his metal fangs to tear it into separate sections as he kneeled to Yozora's side.
He wrapped both legs, tight and practiced, as if he had done it a hundred times before. His brow was furrowed with tense concentration as he tied off the makeshift bandages. "Don't you dare fucking die on me," he spat, ears pinned flat against his head. He could feel the heat from Arges' flame against his back, and he straightened. "Ground yourself, Driven-- I need you to cauterize his leg wound, or he's going to bleed out."
Teu stood, spinning to face the flaming horse, nose scrunched up in what could only be irritability.
