Acheron of Serora
In the desolate landscape that was Sedo, it was always a welcome sight to return home to his family’s farm -- where stretches of greenhouses housed vibrant flowers and useful herbs, and small gardens bore the food that sustained the family to keep trips out to Osulas to a minimum. It’s an even more welcome sight when he’s been on the road for several weeks now, having just completed his circuit of patients, and he’s just about out of every supply -- from bandages to dried herbs to medicinal pastes, his saddlepacks are empty and he cheerfully shucks them from his back onto a nearby fence, ignoring how the nearest goat bleats at him grumpily for the intrusion.
It feels good to be home, and he heads for the large, carved cave that houses his family proper, sticking his head inside and glancing around. There’s a feeling of cool relief as he enters the shaded cave, checking each of the common areas, but his parents and Jara are nowhere to be seen -- likely out foraging or tending to the plants in some of the farther greenhouses, he would guess, especially with some of the plants beginning to enter harvest time.
“Looks like everyone is busy,” he chuckles to himself, withdrawing and turning to retrieve his saddlebags from where he had left them, shooing a few of the more curious goats away from the worn leather. When he rummages through the pockets, he finds a few dried fruits left from his travels, and he offers them to the goats instead with a small smile.[261]
