AriThe morning was still young as Ari quietly picked his way through the kitchen, his eyes searching the room in the dim light for something to snack on while a pot of tea sat on the stove, the bubbling noise within letting the young child know that it'd soon be letting out a high pitch squeal to alert his mother it was ready to drink. It was a quiet morning, one that wasn't full of him rushing off to school or the need to leave for any real reason.
A small part of him was excited, it'd bee a bit since he had been given the chance to just enjoy being with his mother. Maybe she had plans for the day? Or maybe they both were going to just talk over things. The boy wasn't sure, but he was looking forward to it.
It wasn't often the two got to spend time together now a days. Mom always seemed busy, though that wasn't exactly a bad thing. Quietly, the boy pulled out a book to read before his mother came to get the brewing pot, though it wasn't long before a loud screech filled the air.
The boy flinched slightly. "Mom! The water's ready!" He called.
