H u r r i c a n E 🌩 Vagabonds | The Flight - Striker 🌩
"An eagle uses the storm to reach unimaginable heights." ~Eric Thomas 🌩 Even for a stallion rough around the edges as he had a hard time containing his excitement for this job. He could crow and cheer all day every day when raining bombs down upon the Talori scum, but this was a more delicate job, one he felt more than honored to be tasked to do. And alongside the Primary no less! He had never stepped hoof into the legendary, underground tunnels of Breim, in fact, it had seemed like nothing more than just a legend at that until it was staring at him in the face.
He had stayed quiet, offering polite nods or smiles, or uttering his gruff grunt of approval. Shortest and oldest of the bunch, but he knew he had made up for all of that during his years of serving the Flock. There was nothing simple about him.
The tunnels were nothing special, but what the Bremians had made of them were nothing short of miraculous. It was impressive, to say the least. And Nariah was the most spectacular of it all. Despite everything that had happened to the city, Hurricane was impressed by the herds' heartiness.
But despite his high first impression opinions, the staring of Watchers and other Guards was, of course, unnerving to some extent. But he was not going to let them see his unease, hiding it under a guise of neutrality until called upon. If his eyes caught any, however, they would be given a polite, feathery nod of his head. For now, he was all business, even if he so wanted to look around the beautiful city more and more.

It was odd going back, to Point and then all the way to Nariah. Jun looked around as if she was just taking in everything for the first time, but it was the nostalgia she was actually viewing things through. She could see things had changed here, too. She had given so much, laid down everything and abandoned her whole life for her cause, for Digend, then taken the Flight’s as her own. She had not imagined she would care; she had gone in intending to be a mere vessel, a tool to be used at the right moment. But she did care.
Jun knew it was a risk for her cover attending this trip. But she had already proven herself in negotiation situations and spoken for Flight in Serora, so she had been asked. And she had felt proud – she knew she could be useful. She felt a tinge of nervousness knowing what was left of her accent would be much easier to place, but she would answer the possible questions later. Right now, this was of utmost importance.
She had kept low profile and remained very polite towards all the Breimians they came in contact with, quietly willing her company to do the same but making no suggestions. When escorted into the Palace, she was calm and collected to the outside, but felt her heart pick up the pace. She met the politicians with short eye contact before looking away, putting her right hoof forward and leaning into a deep bow. <Please humor me.> she said to Elijah in his head, gently, hoping to set up an example. It wasn't the first time she was in his head, so she knew she would have the easiest time getting in.

ELIJAH Even Elijah had to admit that Nariah was something else. He wasn’t one for aesthetic, and could not have lived in this herd, under the stone sky, but as a place to visit, it was not all that bad. It was such a far cry from Talori and their architecture that in a way it was almost comforting in how foreign it was. This was a place untainted by the hatred of his kin. If anything, he felt like their winged bodies gained a few politely admiring looks from the locals. A welcome change to the faces of the Talori, indeed.
Elijah was not sure how well suited he was for such a venture, seeing as he wasn’t much of a negotiator. Or thinker. Especially not a politician. Towering over the rest of the company and honestly most of the Breimen too, he did see the attraction of him being here, however. Elijah could provide could provide plenty of muscle if needed. He hoped it wouldn’t be needed. From what he understood, they were here to make friends.
Jun’s gentle prodding at his mind was quickly accepted, and he opened himself to her. Feeling strange but diligently following her example, he clumsily copied her movements. His bow was not as deep, but unmistakably a bow regardless. <I’m not sure if I will ever get used to someone being in my head>, he admitted to her through the open connection. He did, however, enjoy the privacy of it.
Unsure on what to do next, he stood there stone faced, his eyes darting between Jun, Antiope and Milo, clearly looking for some kind of instructions as to what to do next.

antiope i feigned umbrage at my bruising fist
This was not a battlefield of Antiope's choosing. She preferred to take her victories by the sword rather than the pen.
The notion of Palaces, of High Kings, raised Antiope's hackles from the start. The stiff politeness and veiled suspicion with which they had been treated since their arrival did not escape Antiope's keen eye, and it smacked too much of Talorian sensibility to put her at any kind of ease. She didn't know whether Breimian rigidity was rooted in piousness or pompousness, but she didn't care for either.
As always, however, she kept it to herself. Antiope was choosy with her words in the best of moods, but she'd been essentially mute since arriving in Sirith, breaking her silence only for the pleasantries that guides had advised her she would need. To this point it had been the proper tactic; it seemed that Breimians did not have the cultural compulsion to fill the air the way some in Aquore did. The strategy had gotten her as far as the High King's chamber, but truth be told she was unsure what would happen next. Antiope had never been much of a negotiator; Perseus was the natural politician, and Antiope had succeeded in delegating diplomacy since his departure. Here, in this palace in a pit, surrounded by tight-faced guards, Antiope missed the weight of her spear. She missed the sky. She missed the calm thoughtfulness of her Commander Hyperion.
She let out a long steadying breath, giving the chamber a cursory scan as she entered. The centuries of monarchy dripped off the walls of this dreadful place. It turned her stomach.
Her traveling party bowed, their right hooves forward in a posture Antiope had witnessed among the Breimians. She let them. Rather than bowing herself, she dipped her head slightly in the greeting of her native Aquore, and let them think what they wished of it. She'd been advised that the Breimians were even more sensitive to eye contact than the squeamish aristocrats of Inaria. She studied Hajime's face in intervals, rotating between him and the Overseers present, but did not cast her gaze down.
The quiet in the room stretched on, but didn't bother her. Back home, the first to speak was considered the lowest in the present hierarchy; she wondered if that rang true in Sirith. She wondered if they expected her to begin. She wondered what would happen if she didn't.
Khione had grabbed her chin before she left the Aerie, and made her promise to behave.
"High King Hajime," the lilt of her Aquorian accent made every consonant sound like a jab. "Thank you for welcoming us into your home." 445 words | post 1

Othala;Vagabonds | Flock Medic I don't wanna hurt you, it's not my nature.
Never had she been this far away from home. As a born mainlander from Talori, she’d never expected to ever leave Aquore. Even the Aerie had seemed like a far away place the first time she traveled there.
The most unnerving thing however wasn’t the distance to her homeland, but the foreignness of this land and it’s residents. As someone with claustrophobia she wasn’t too fond of going underground, but over the time living in the Aerie she had slowly become used to it. And even tho she had been sceptical at first, she had to admit that Nariah was beautiful in its own way, with it’s glowing crystals and gemstones. Yet she asked herself how someone could spent a lifetime without seeing the sun, the clouds, the sky itself.
Her knowledge about the cave dwellers was sparse, and so she was rather surprised to be confronted with cautious, but also admiring glances by those that came passing by. Even tho they lived far away from Alya’s domain, they seemed to be strangely fascinated by the Pegasei.
The admiration and curiosity ended at the palace doors. Guards observed every single of their steps with stern faces and while it didn’t appear unfriendly or rude, she could clearly feel their dislike towards foreigners. From the corner of her eye she noticed a movement and as she turned her head she saw Jun and Elijah bowing. Quickly she put down a leg as well. Her bow was a little shaky and probably not deep enough, but she wasn’t used to that kind of movement. Yet it felt strangely appropriate within these halls.

H u r r i c a n E 🌩 Vagabonds | The Flight - Striker 🌩
"An eagle uses the storm to reach unimaginable heights." ~Eric Thomas 🌩 As with the others, Hurricane extended himself forward in the intricate bow that Jun, followed by Elijah, initiated. Antiope kept to her Talorian greetingAlthough he absolutely did not quite like having to lower himself further to the floor just for a greeting, this was no time for him to complain about such trivial things. His eyes followed Antiope’s to the one she called High King Hajime, the very one they needed to convince to allow them to establish their trade route...legitimately.
When the others would rise, so would he. He was willing to bow, but he wasn’t willing to stay in the pose for longer than necessary. Show politeness and reverence, nothing more. His eyes looked about the room from under heavy brows as he kept his body straight and stoic, wings tucked against his sides. While he had confidence in everyone present that they would succeed in their mission, he still knew he knew practically nothing about the Bremians other than what they were briefed about, and even then, some knowledge could have been misunderstood or unintentionally skewed. It was better to let Antiope talk until he was called upon, if at all.
And as the seconds marched on, so too did the itch to stretch his wings. Even though caves weren’t foreign to him, at least he knew how to quickly enter the sky from the Aerie. Here? More complex. And he couldn’t taste fresh air until they were victorious in a battle that took a silver tongue than a steel sword.

Hajime Breim l High King "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."
References l Playlist l Moodboard
Hajime watched as the strangers were slowly escorted into the throne room, some of them appearing quite uneasy, not that she could blame them. Though surrounded by watch, She couldn't help but feel a twinge of wariness as she recalled the tragedy and turmoil that the last visitors left in their wake. Still, these strangers were not from Aodh, and though Hajime had her reservations about them and their motivations, she was willing to hear them out. "Welcome, friends." Haji said loudly, rising from her gilded throne to place her right leg forward and dip her head slightly in greeting. "Forgive the wariness of my people, we do not often get strangers here. That said, I hope your journey was not a terribly difficult one. I know the Labyrinth can be a bit daunting at times." She added, glancing briefly at each of the strangers, memorizing their faces just in case something went awry. "What is it that brings you to Nariah?" She asked, settling back into her place on her throne. Whether she cared to admit it or not, Hajime was genuinely curious as to why these strangers would traverse so far to speak with her here in her home and was quite interested in what they had to say. M I L O
Striker Commander of the Freedom's Flight
......
Milo wasn't surprised he was selected for the mission to Nariah. However, he wasn't thrilled. This had to be his least favorite part of the job. Like Antiope, he was a warrior through and through, raised in a faraway rough and tumble village. A ruffian freedom fighter who rubbed shoulders with pirates and other undesirables his whole young life. And now, here he was, among Breimian royalty. The young pegasus had little knowledge of the mysterious herd, only that they were very rigid in their ways and extremely polite...even more so than the Talori. That thought solidified once they entered the tunnels and furthermore the city, then the palace. Much to his displeasure he had to leave his weapons and armor behind...he felt naked. But he had to represent his people in their strength. Carreau, his harpy, sat with his talons curled into Milo's dreadlocks, peering at the world around him with suspicious curiosity.
Upon confronting High King Hajime, Milo's eyes widened. The horse had a third eye in the middle of their forehead. He couldn't help but stare in wonder before shaking his head, disturbing his messy mane, and offering a small bow along with the others, his metal hoof clacking on the ground rather loudly. The echo caused his ears to swivel around as the vibrations traveled. If I were to yell in here...I would bring the whole earth down on our heads. he thought to himself as he stood tall once more.
When the King referred to them as friends, Milo couldn't help but crack a small smile. For years their most pleasant greeting had been with arrows and spears. Negotiations weren't his strong suit no, but it was nice to be greeted warmly for once. Thankfully for the Flight, the young pegasus warrior grew more cunning as his time with the freedom fighters grew longer, so he knew the proper things to say. He stepped forward and replied in a hearty, warm tone...
"These underground tunnels of yours are strange to us, but splendid indeed. The journey was made rather easy thanks to your capable guides." said Milo, his golden eyes like pools of warm honey in the light. For once they held no suspicion or accusation, solely friendliness. His wings were folded loosely at his sides and his tail feathers were lazily resting against his dock. "We've made this journey to your fantastic city to discuss the possibility of opening up trade between us and our lands. I feel it would be mutually beneficial, and would very much enjoy discussing the specifics with you and your Overseers."

Emeryn offers a slight bow. They clearly did not expect you to have any manners, and are positively surprised. Pyria's greeting is more energetic. She smiles at you openly, in that courteous Breimian way.
The overseers will hear you out.
"We have reviewed the documentation you brought with you", Pyria says: "This agreement is old and has never been acted upon. What has made you come here, seeking to review it?"
"What she means is", Emeryn speaks, much less friendly: "What can you offer now that you could not before? What can you give that would be worth our while?"

H u r r i c a n E 🌩 Vagabonds | The Flight - Striker 🌩
"An eagle uses the storm to reach unimaginable heights." ~Eric Thomas 🌩 The King spoke, and the words were enough to settle some of the old man's insecurities. Honestly, he couldn’t blame the Bremians for their wariness. If the Aerie was visited by outsiders unannounced, he himself would likely look upon any visitors with extreme scrutiny and dislike. But perhaps that was also because of the nature of their being.
The Strike Commander, Milo had done well to speak for Antiope in her silence, and Hurricane was quite pleased with the outcome. He couldn’t have said it any better himself. The gruff old man nodded his heavily feathered head in approval, sending plush feathers bouncing from the simple action.
Of course he had his own ideas of what they could offer the Bremians. Since Breim was mostly located underground, the Flight could easily offer surveillance and information that they surely lacked. He himself would have been more than willing to do flyovers for the King in return for the use of their system. And even though he would have gladly spoken his mind any other day, today just was not that day. While the mare appears to already be on a better foot with their group, the other seems to need more persuasion. He glances towards Antiope to see if she would speak this time, or if Milo was going to continue with the diplomacy.

Jun was pleased when her fellows bowed, too. She listened intently with her Telepathy, keeping a keen ear on the discord and rising up before the thoughts became too rattled. Yes, it was polite to bow as long as possible, but it was not more important than pushing the limits of her comrades. A delicate balance, a razor’s edge – she often felt like her whole existence had come down to that.
“If I may. I’m sure my comrades can better explain the benefits of such a trade, but we have some additional documents for your appraisal. They suggest a different route for trade; by water, instead of land”, Jun said, politely shifting her gaze up and back down, stepping gently forward to offer a map that detailed the connecting point to a river. She had very gently suggested that she could hold onto the documentation – she had already done it with the Rogues, after all. And had the Breimians decided to apprehend them, Jun suspected and her non-combatant air had a higher likelihood of not losing held items.
She stepped back again, not looking to take the spotlight but very much keeping an ear on everyone, ready to mediate should the need arise.

ELIJAH Their greeting seemed to go over well enough, Elijah mused. He didn’t really know the ways of these people, so it was a bit hard to say. However, no one had seemed particularly appalled, or tried to start a fight with them, and Elijah counted that as a win. Towering over friends and strangers alike, Elijah felt curious about the greetings. Were they friends? Elijah was not used to friends who were not from his own faction. He was used to hatred at worst, suspicion at best. Even the alliance with Rogues was not on the sturdiest ground – he knew some of his fellows were working on that back home.
There was a question, and then silence. He looked to Milo for guidance, for it was their Commander who had spoken, rather than Antiope. Instinctively he took a half a step closer to Milo, securing his Flank by shifting his weight.
A small, proud smile graced his lips when Jun stepped forward to hand the officials the new piece of documentation. Jun was always so smart.
“Underground river”, he piped up, sounding a bit excited: “We’ve tried it once, know it comes into Breim. Didn’t bother no one, of course – just peeked to see where it went.” As far as he knew it had originally been explored mostly as an emergency evacuation path, but trade sounded much better – much more like it would allow them to kick some Talori ass in the future.

Othala;Vagabonds | Flock Medicr I don't wanna hurt you, it's not my nature.
The mare listened quietly, eyes respectfully lowered. Never look directly at someone higher ranked than yourself. It was one of the first lessons you learn as citizen of Aquore, especially as Pegasus. She tried to analyze the mood of the room. The High King appeared politely curious and her advisers - overseers, it was called overseers, she reminded herself - both interested and skeptical.
“High King, Overseers” she piped up after both June and Elijah had begun to answer the question raised. Othala politely bowed her head, this time using the Talori gesture instead of a Breimians. She was sure that it would still be viewed as respectful, even in this foreign herd. “This new route would make any trade incredibly faster and safer than ever before.” A slight smile appeared on her face, still a little hesitant but warm-hearted. The Rogues had freaked her out and she felt much more comfortable around these strangers. She could handle this, hopefully better than the last negotiation she was involved in,
“That alone could make the trading between our people more worthwhile than ever. Furthermore we are also happy to announce that, due to our new allies (the Rogues), we are able to offer a much wider range of commercial goods than we could before.”

H u r r i c a n E 🌩 Vagabonds | The Flight - Striker 🌩
"An eagle uses the storm to reach unimaginable heights." ~Eric Thomas 🌩
To his surprise, Milo did not continue, nor did Antiope speak up as Hurricane has expected. Instead, it was the blue-winged Jun who took her turn. Looking towards the pegasus as she spoke, he watched her present the King and his Overseers with the map that she had been carrying since their departure. The mare had said her piece before she respectfully stepped back in line with the rest of the present Flight members.
Next was Elijah to chime in, and Hurricane didn’t bother suppressing the smile that crawled to his face at the young, colorful male’s excitement. He nodded but wondered if the admission of following the river already was the best idea, especially without permission. But how could they not? They had to admit they knew where it went, and instead of doing it behind the Bremians’ backs, trying to diplomatically make an agreement with the Bremians was a far better idea. Yes, honesty was the best tool.
Wondering if he ought to bring up his idea, Othala took her turn. Looking towards their young medic, the stallion smiled at her politeness. The smile faced some, however, as he immediately recognized the Talorian bow she decided to use, yet he would never hold it against her. Some things were hard to break, or she was simply using it as a tactic. Whatever it was, he would respect her regardless.
When she stopped speaking, it was his turn to step forward. He would make an effort just like the rest of the group.
“My name is Hurricane. High King Hajime, Overseers.” He lowered himself into a bow again as he had before. “If I may,” He began as he stood back up. “We may also be able to offer you information. Should you agree to this trade deal, I believe we may be able to relay to you anything that we may find along the way of the river. We could provide surveillance where you currently do not have any. So while our traders do their business up and down the river, if anything strange happens, you would be the first ones to know of any potential issues that you would not expect to happen from locations you have perhaps not yet traversed. I know I myself would be more than willing to offer my eyes and wings in exchange for use of the river.” He bowed once more before taking is place among the Flight.

“I see”, Emeryn says, sounding, if not excited, then at least intrigued. They eye Othala and Hurricane especially. Pyria nods along to all of them. “This river sounds very useful indeed, and we are glad that you did not use it without our permission”, Emeryn adds, now sounding clearly pleased.
“I have an interest in the practical matters”, Pyria says, nodding to the Flight again: “I am the manager of trade agreements, so you understand that my main concern is the goods. What are you looking for in this agreement? We know approximately what the Talori can provide - how about you?” She looks at you with inquisitive eyes, and then adds on: “And perhaps more importantly, what do you want from us?”

ELIJAH Elijah looked at Othala and Hurricane with appreciation. They too, were so smart. So good with words. Polite, too! Elijah had never been great at any of those things – he was more of a battering ram, especially with how big he was. Never really had found much use for talking and stuff, there were usually others around to do that part for him. He was just there when things went wrong for the talkers. At least that’s how it usually went. Elijah frowned slightly. He doubted anyone would appreciate if he started punching the Breimen. That would hardly garner them any favor with the faction.
Hurricane’s talk made a lot of sense to him, however. Information they had – well, at least some of them did – and he at least could help with the protecting and fighting bit. The idea of traversing the underground and perhaps fighting some monsters or whatever lived down there sounded very interesting to him.
This next question however, he didn’t really know what to say. He knew they made weapons and armor at the Aerie, but looking at the Breimen, he somehow doubted they’d be interested in that. Well, Pyria did look like she had seen a few scraps in her life, but the other one was very manicured. “There’s the Wilds”, he said quietly, more to his companions than the Breimen. Then he reached out with his mind, poking at Jun: <Do you know what they like?>

Hajime Breim l High King "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."
References l Playlist l Moodboard
Haji nodded in agreement with Emeryn's words, almost relieved to have some of his most trusted Overseers present for this meeting, and even more relieved these strangers hadn't taken it upon themselves to just sail into Breimian territory unannounced. The last thing the King needed was another international incident. He shook his head as his thoughts wandered back to the now retired Talori Consul, who had suffered greatly during their time in Aquore. His eyes narrowed slightly at the thought, but he kept his face nuetral, listening intently to the conversation as it continued. Talk of trade routes, and trade agreements without any mention of what goods would be available, and what these strangers from Aquore would want in return. Finally he heard Pyria speak up, ever a voice of reason and practicality. “I am the manager of trade agreements, so you understand that my main concern is the goods. What are you looking for in this agreement? We know approximately what the Talori can provide - how about you? And perhaps more importantly, what do you want from us?”
Hajime nodded in agreement with the question, ears flicking forward as one of the strangers spoke rather softly. "There's the wilds." The speaker seemed more like they were suggesting ideas rather than coming forward with a plan, which concerned the King. "Surely you must have some idea of what you are after, and what you could provide in return. Why would you have taken such an arduous journey if that wasn't the case?" He asked slowly, his voice firm but not unkind. Word Count: 261 Post #2

Hurricane | Flight Striker Hurricane nodded his head at Emeryn’s comment. Yes, he was glad too. No sense making enemies with the Bremians, especially when an alliance would do both so much better. Bright blue eyes turned to focus on Elijah, a small smile coming to his lips. Ah, how could he forget? The Wilds held resources that the Bremians might be able to utilize. After all, they were underground and likely didn’t have many operations above ground. Turning his attention away from his companion as the King spoke, he stayed silent as he listened to Hajime speak. His eyes turned to Milo, before he decided to take the lead. “If I may?” He looked to Milo, then towards the King and his Overseers as he stepped forwards away from the line of Flight. “Yes, it has been quite a journey for us.” He nodded, keeping his gaze low, but his head high. “We have a few allies of our own, merchants if you will. They have access to locations and herd we are unable to reach ourselves, and with that said, their reach could gain you resources from places you likely do not have access to either.” He paused for effect, before continuing in his calm tone. “If memory serves me correctly, your herd has medical supplies that we are most certainly interested in as our own seem quite primitive in comparison to your own.” He looked back towards Othala. “Othala here could possibly tell you more about our merchant allies and what they could offer you, as well as what they could possibly want for themselves and to trade. I would be so bold as to say that your ores and gemstones would be quite appealing to them as well as your superior medical supplies.” Looking back to Hajime and his companions, he nodded his head towards Elijah. “Elijah here spoke about the Wilds. We have access to this location now, and perhaps you might be interested in the area as well.”330 WordsPost #5

Jun had to admit, she did feel a tinge of nervous energy holding herself politely in front of the High King. In this company she hardly stood out with her iridescent feathers, so many proud pegasi standing side by side. The Flight, perhaps, was not known for its subtle political stances, but Jun was proud of them. It was a time of change.
She let the words pass, observing cues, watching, considering. She picked up tips with her blessing shamelessly, almost tasting the air. She responded to Elijah’s poking with a positive, thoughtful hum, meant to calm his nerves. Her expression ever-so-slightly sharpened at Hajime’s words.
“I’ll chime in to add”, Jun started with a polite nod, “that our trade allies have connecting points to our harbor with no risk to Breim. They have reach much greater than Talori, just like Hurricane here said, and their hooves are not nearly as locked in at this… unfortunate economy where trade deals have suffered from wars.”
“The Wilds are a jungle area that have many natural riches, including medicinal plants for harvesting. Until recently no one could reach deep into the Wilds due to their dangerous nature, but this has changed and Flight has access to these harvests. There might be potential for new discoveries and research the rest of the Hireath has not seen yet”, Jun went on.
“The Flight is most looking for independence, and a trade deal with such a great nation would greatly improve our resources and better our standing with our other allies.”

ELIJAH Elijah, against his nature, blushed when the High King reacted to his words. He wished he too knew telepathy, so he could talk with the others in secret. He was no good at this diplomacy and trade stuff, no good at all. He was just here to protect everyone, give a big impression. Not a good one. Luckily Hurricane came to his rescue. Elijah shot the much smaller man a short, appreciative glance, and allowed himself to rest on the calming hum sent by Jun’s mind. He could never have survived something like this on his own, that was for sure. It was good he had his brothers- and sisters-in-arms here with him, to keep him from faltering too much.
As Jun spoke, he felt like he too could add something of value to this. After all, he came from a rural village, and although he had never really spent time in the Wilds – for obvious reasons – he did know what grew on the fringes of it. More importantly, however, he was strong and able, as were many others among the Flight. “The Wilds also have magnificent animals that might interest your people as familiars. The Flight is strong and maneuverable, I’m sure we could get you anything from the jungle that interested you”, he assured the King and the two Overseers.

Othala;Vagabonds | Flock Medicr I don't wanna hurt you, it's not my nature.
In the further process of the discussion, Othala largely remained in the background. When Hurricane spoke, she slightly nodded at his words. Information was probably one of their most valuable ware they could offer to the Breimian’s. The arcane herd shun the sun, a decision understandable, considering their history. Yet their lifestyle also was of great disadvantage from time to time. In these uncertain times, sometimes knowledge was the crucial factor to survive. The Flight was also dependent on gathering news, as many and as fast as possible to ensure their survival. So why shouldn’t they share the knowledge?
Othala silently released her breath after the Overseer’s voiced their opinions again. Even tho one of them still seemed to be suspiciously, it was clear that they were not by any means averse to a potential trading agreement.
She waited for June, Elijah and Hurricane to finish speaking, so she had enough time to organize her thoughts and remember the captains correctly that sided with the Flight only a few months ago. “Our trade partners, like June already indicated, have a reach greater than most. They aren’t much affected by world politics and can even provide wares from herd’s that wouldn’t trade with Talori, or us, under the current circumstances. They are welcome in the harbours of Eithne, Onea and Sedo. Whatever you or your people need, High King, we will spare neither cost nor effort to provide it. “ she paused a moment to let it all sink in before she continued. “In return most of them probably would be greatly interested in the marvelous gemstones you harvest and the fine jewelery you manufacture. The Flight however is ,among other things, interested in your comestible goods and your high qualitativ medicine and prosthetics.”

The Overseers listen to you once more. Pointed looks are given by Emeryn towards your leadership, who remain silent, but Pyria smiles encouragingly at the Flight as they manage to get out their needs and offerings.
“Thank you. We will retire for a moment, now”, Pyria says, giving a courteous bow. Emeryn also offers one, but it is less deep. The Overseers retreat further from the Flight, conversing with each other in quiet voices, and then return to Hajime, speaking to him with those hushed, polite tones.
Emeryn advocates trade of goods, voicing her interest in the new plants they could gain from the trade. Traditional to a fault they are, but with these challenging times, perhaps exotic plants would be a suitable distraction. Besides, they might be able to find not only medicinal plants, but foodstuffs as well, or decorative plants. Some of them might even be able to be cultivated here, with enough effort. An opportunity to trade out gems seems profitable for them, and even Emeryn admits that a want for consumables and medicines hardly sounds nefarious. They do state, however, a lack of trust for the Flight for their actions against the Consul, and don’t want Breimen to travel up the river, but for Flight to come to them. Emeryn attests that the Flight don’t seem to be quite a real herd yet, and although they have unison, they seem to lack leadership, which means they don’t have a head of affairs that would be easy to consult and discuss with. They also advise against allowing Flight traders a freedom of movement in Breim, suggesting that they should be under Watch’s eyes while there. They suggest Flight be allowed to sail no further than Cresa, where a trading hub can be established.
Pyria, for her part, seems much more eager. She too is excited by the prospects of trading gemstones and medicines, but more so than the offerings of the Wilds, it is a near direct access to the Rogue trade that seems to interest her the most. They sound crass, yes, but it is not as if Breim will have to deal with them personally, and there is no doubt that they could use these versatile trade partners. Unlike Emeryn, she seems to think the Flight is trustworthy, and would not be against Breim also sailing up the river. She thinks it would be of a much greater benefit to them to offer the Flight trust and kindness, and perhaps gain an ally no one expects them to have. To this effect, she suggests that the Flight be allowed to sail all the way up to Nariah to do their trade.
Final decision rests on King Hajime.

Hajime listens intently as his advisers speak. He nods in agreement, taking in each of their points before stepping forward to address the horses gathered before their throne. "We would be pleased to call you partners in trade." Haji says slowly, their gaze shifting from one stranger to the next. "Much of what you have offered is intriguing and potentially quite useful and promising by way of my peoples needs. A mutually beneficial agreement seems to be in both our nation's interests." Hajime nods slightly. "That said, I am wary to trust those who have made themselves the enemy of some of our oldest allies." They glance back at their advisers. "As such, we will allow you to set up a trading hub in Cresa, but you may go no further. All trade between us would happen there, as I refuse to send my people into an unknown war zone again." Their eyes narrowed slightly as their thoughts turned to the Talori Consul who had been imprisoned in Aquore for months. Pushing the thought away, they speak once more. "If these terms are agreeable to you, we look forward to trading with you." They say, bowing their head slightly before returning to their throne. Word Count: 204 Post #3
