ORISA | TALORI | EMISSARY
So as the waves come, let 'em take us - as they cover you and me, and they pull us underneath - it takes the shape of who will save us.
Choking, retching, Orisa made her way to the shore, dragging her aching body through the heavy sand while her chest heaved from a mixture of exertion and terror. The ribbon wrapped through her mane and tail had all but unravelled, as had her nerves. Normally, she would have been mortified to be seen out in public like this, but with the city lying in ruin behind her and her companions alike left to lick their wounds, the thought was quickly pushed aside to study more troubling matters at hand.
"THE CURSE HAS BEEN LIFTED; A NEW AGE IS DAWNING."
The weighted words of her Goddess still echoed throughout her head, and as tired as she was, her mind still spun, teaming with questions; ones that seemed she would get no straightforward answers to.
With her nose pressed into the sand and her legs curled tightly beneath her, Orisa replayed the events in her head, trying to understand, to comprehend the meaning behind Cascade's actions; only to flinch as she recalled the foal they had been desperate to save, then were forced to watch as they were taken by the city, crushed beneath its ancient pillars and laid to rest at the bottom of the sea.
Almost automatically, the images made her reflexively touch her side, and though she was barely showing, another fear crept to the surface... was her child okay? The dread of being a first-time mother began making itself known the longer she lay there, and she felt powerless to stop it and the things now forecast to come.

Tiffanyi;Aodh | Envoy I’ve got a thing for genuine people Letting her head rest, Tiffany tried to calm her spinning mind. The adrenaline throbbed through her veins as her body welcomed the stability of Kaia's earth. Even though the sea had just tried to kill them, she now focused on Her waves to slow her breathing. In... out... in... out.... Feeling more like herself after several minutes had passed, Tiffany rose to her shaky legs and allowed herself to take in the damage all around her. Cascade had really done a number on her people.
Feeling heavy emotion sit on her heart, Tiffany walked back to the water's edge and let the gentle waves caress her hooves. One could not deny the power of water, a life source and a common end to life too.
Being so drained from using her blessing more than once in a day, Tiffany couldn't hold her typical mask on any longer, the day's events washed over her and tears streamed down her face. They were so lucky to be alive, unlike those poor souls who got taken down by the wrath of the Gods, some so young. Far too young.
Taking one last deep breath, Tiffany squared up and spun back around, putting the fallen city behind her. Her attention was caught by the younger mare she had aided underwater. Her face was cracked with hidden fear. Tiffany felt partially cursed for her heightened awareness of emotions. She always played the noble game, but here she felt responsible for being there, making herself known, making Aodh known. They were not the enemies, they had been allies for so long, this was no time for changing that.
Making sure to keep her presence light and maternal, Tiffany made her way over to the mare. "That was some pretty scary stuff, huh?" she said quietly to her. "I don't even know if we should be thanking Cascade for our escape." She said offhandedly, hoping a lighter mood would make her feel more comfortable.
