A Dante and Kylo RPDante had been out late finishing up a recent job. He considered finding a creek to rinse off in, but he was too tired to bother with it. Instead he went straight home. His fur was blood soaked, his sword dripped red onto its sheath, and he had a raging headache. Dante worried that he may get caught on his way home by some brutish raiders, but the walk was surprisingly quiet. He was extremely happy that Kylo and him had found a house near the outskirts of the town. It was run down, but it was definitely temporary, especially so after the conversation he planned to have with Kylo that night.
The stallion quietly opened the door, hoping not to scare his lover. When he laid eyes on them, he smiled. "Hey gorgeous, how was your night?" his voice was rough from how tired he was. He unclipped his saddlebag and sword, resting them near the small table in the room. He would get to cleaning those later. "Care to join me for a bath? I have some things I'd like to discuss sooner rather than later," Dante winked at Kylo then headed toward the bathroom. It wasn't very large, but it was enough. Dante began to clear out the old water and heat the new. After he was satisfied with the level of water withing the bath and its temperature, he slowly sank into it. His muscles ached, which the bath helped soothe. He felt bad at how red the water turned just from him stepping into it, but he could easily replace the water if Kylo decided to get in after he'd scrubbed all of the blood off.

In a small house on the edge of Skeldr town, sat Kylo, who was reading about Onea’s myths and legends. The wind rattled through the open window of the house, tonight was extremely peaceful around these parts. Kylo continued to read until they heard the door creak open. Looking up at the door revealed a bloody and tired Dante, had Kylo not been with Dante for as long as they had been together they would have been scared of the sight, but for them it was a normal occurrence.
"Hey gorgeous, how was your night?" Dante had said to them as he walked further into the house."Care to join me for a bath? I have some things I'd like to discuss sooner rather than later." Dante finished with a wink that had Kylo grinning from ear to ear. Following him to the bathroom, Kylo lingered in the doorway as they watched their lover sink into the tub. “ How did that job go love? Not too much work hopefully?” Kylo asked Dante. Once Dante was settled in the tub Kylo came further into the room and sat on the toilet next to the tub. “What did you want to talk about love?” they questioned their lover curiously.

Dante began to carefully scrub the muck from the day off with a sponge in his teke. He kept his gaze on Kylo the entire time he did so. Sometimes he enjoyed just looking at them. It was nice to just sit and admire the horse he loved so much. "My day was fine, nothing too spectacular. The damn target put up one hell of a fight, though. He had a couple daggers he tried to get me with. Got in a few slices too," Dante mused. He had a more exciting day than a normal horse would, however it was pretty ordinary by a mercenary's standards.
"Anyway, that's not what I wanted to discuss," Dante shook his head. He had to ponder over how he would say everything. He'd been thinking about it a lot, but was unsure how Kylo would take it. "So, you know how I group up within the cult of Digend and how they're all fuckin' crazy, right? Well, I was kind of starting to think about that more. I never hated them while I was growing up, simply because my mom knew how to spin a wild tale," Dante wasn't quite sure how to tie in what he really wanted to say. But, he would at least try. "I thought that Ignacio was the god I cared for the most and I also appreciate Argus, I took one of his blessings, after all. But, lately I've felt like the gods have forsaken me. I can't even be in Eithne anymore, because the damn Aodhians don't think of vagabonds as real, living, thinking creatures. And Ignacio stands by and does nothing!" Dante let out a breath, he didn't need to yell. Kylo was listening patiently. No reason to get worked up over nothing. "Anyway, I heard these rumors. Rumors that Digend might be real. I think it would be worth looking into. The cult may go about things in a twisted way, but Digend was never really a being of hate, just chaos. So I thought I might search for Digend. I wanted to know how you felt about all of this before doing anything rash, though." The mercenary climbed out of the bath, drained the blood-soaked water, then began to refill it. He got back in and gestured for Kylo to join him.

Kylo hummed as they thought about what their lover said. They thought and carefully watched as he drained the bloody water from the tub and replaced it with new clean water and gestured for them to join him.
Moving towards the tub, Kylo slowly sank into the warm water of the tub with Dante. “ I’ve heard these whispers and rumors of Digend possibly being real. “ Kylo began to speak as they looked into their lover’s eyes. Kylo knew very little about this god, only mere whispers on the streets from back alleys and dark places. ” I will admit that I’m quite curious about it since I’ve first heard it. I’ve heard from someone that Digend brings good luck to those who worship her. “ Kylo thought for a moment. “ You know I don’t really follow any of the gods, but I’m very curious about this Digend, If you want me to I’ll join you. Perhaps you’ll find some use for me on the journey.” Kylo finished their statement flirtatiously winking at their lover.
“So dear, if and when we do find this Digend, what do you plan on doing? This is a God we are talking about.” Kylo asked curiously tilting their head back as they relaxed further into the tub.

Dante grinned as Kylo began to speak. They were so understanding. It was just wonderful how great they could be. Dante gently rested his head over their withers in a nice hug. He was happy to be so close to Kylo in such a nice situation.
"Thank you, Kylo," he whispered softly in their ear. "The journey will probably be long and difficult. We may need to hire a ship in order to reach Sirith, because we cannot risk going through Eithne." Dante's mind was already racing with the countless ways things could go wrong. But, he would have Kylo at his side, meaning things wouldn't be so stressful. On top of that, he had to worry about any encounters with the Cult of Digend, considering they'd be more than happy to tear his throat out. But, he believed Digend was not the chaotic monster they made the god out to be.
"I don't know what we'll do when we reach the destination. I've heard of many bringing offerings, which is something we may want to consider. I just want to decide for myself if this god is worth more than the rest of the pantheon. You know?" Dante let his nose gently wander over Kylo's body, basking in their comfort. He was going to savor the moment if he could. "We should also consider selling this place. It will give us extra travel money and maybe we can find a new home somewhere far away. I've never been one to stay in one place."
Dante then sat back in the warm water. He focused on the soothing feeling as the water lapped around his aching muscles. His eyes closed. "And hey, maybe we'll find something exciting along the way."

Kylo smiled softly as their lover rested his head over their withers. Kylo softly caressed Dante’s neck with their head. “ Anything for you Dante” Kylo said softly to him. Kylo honestly didn’t care how long or hard a journey would be, as long as they got to go on the journey together that’s all that mattered to Kylo.
“I’m sure the both of us could scrounge up enough from our work to hire a ship that will get us there.” Kylo said as they thought about the journey. “As for what we do when we get there, well we will figure it out on our way there, we will have plenty of time to figure out what to bring for her “ Kylo added with a hum as Dante’s nose glided over their body. “We can definitely sell this place, I don’t have a problem with that, I don’t mind where we go or if we choose to stay in one place for long, I’ve been moving for so long it would be weird to settle down in one place.” Kylo responded leaning into their lover and pecking him on the cheek with a kiss as he moved to sit back. “ Perhaps, we will find something that will change our lives forever” Kylo finished quietly to their lover with an excited smile on their face.

Dante smiled brightly. He hadn't felt so excited for something new to happen in a long time. Kylo was such a willing partner and he was so happy to have them. Dante climbed out of the bath after a while. He grabbed a towel nearby and began to dry himself off.
"So, now that our grand plan has been plotted out, what next?" The stallion gave his lover a cheeky grin. "I had a pretty rough day, so unwinding with you sounds like a good plan. I'm not quite tired enough," Dante waited for Kylo to finish up. While he sat waiting, he brushed through his mane and tail. He hated when it got tangled, so he always made sure to brush through it when wet. Then he carefully braided both in an attempt to keep them from getting too messy. Sometimes he felt too elegant with his long mane and tail, he'd even considered chopping them both off. But, he didn't. Kylo was a testament to the fact that any horse could look however they damn well pleased, despite gender or lack thereof. So he kept it and he thought of them anytime he felt weak about his appearance. It really was such a silly thing to worry about.
Dante quietly walked out of the bathroom. Their house was small, but it was cozy. He was almost sad to leave it behind. Almost. But not quite. He made his way to a cupboard they kept food in, grabbed an apple, then walked to their small room. Dante flopped onto the bed, eating the apple in small bites after sitting up. He excitedly awaited Kylo's entrance and whatever activity they decided on, be it just a simple conversation or sleep or something more intimate. Honestly, anything with Kylo was fun.

Kylo watched Dante as he climbed out of the tub and dried himself off with a towel. How Kylo got so lucky to snag this handsome fellow they have no idea, the gods must have something to do with it. The one thing Kylo was most thankful for was standing right in front of them. Without Dante, kylo would have probably continued to throw themself at any loving being they came across for even a moment where they weren’t completely alone.
Kylo smiled to themself at the thought of potentially being with Dante for the rest of their lives, traveling together, starting a family together. They don’t need anyone but themselves, Kylo and Dante till the end of time, Kylo couldn’t imagine it any other way.
“Well love, we need to figure out what direction we go first to find Digend.” Kylo said as they stood from the tub and grabbed the other dry towel and began to dry themself off. Leaving their hair unbraided Kylo followed Dante to their room. “Although, I’m sure figuring out a direction can wait till tomorrow. For now, lets talk about other things and relax.” Kylo spoke softly to Dante as they sat on the bed next to their lover, letting their hair drape across the bed and to the floor.

Dante's eyes wandered to Kylo's ridiculously long mane. He smiled at just how gorgeous his partner was. His teke gently began to stroke through the lengthy mane. Dante's own was pretty long, but it was a mess and nothing in comparison to their's. The stallion nodded slowly as Kylo suggested a change of topic. He rolled flat onto his side. A million different topics raced through his mind, but none seemed to carry enough weight to bother saying. He was lot in thought for many moments longer than he planned, creating a bit of an awkward silence. Finally he spoke up. "I uh, don't remember if I've asked before, but what were your parents like? Your whole childhood actually. I don't think I've ever heard that much about your past. I want to know everything." He gently moved his teke to stroke closer to Kylo's neck.
