Asalah was quietly working in her shop, pulling bits and pieces of cloth across her simple workbench in the hopes of creating new bridles to sell after the new years celebration was finished. The shop had been closed today so that both Airta and Evalynn could prepare themselves for the event, but Asalah had still come to work nonetheless. Bridles didn't make themselves, and although her siblings were always excited to partake in the festivities during this celebration, Asalah was not so inclined. It was on days like these that she would quietly remember her old home and wonder about the family she had once known so well. Sometimes this nostalgia would show up in her work, the normal fire designs turning to that of water before Asalah would have to adjust it and turn it back into the well known designs that reminded so many of Ignacio. She let out a soft sigh, her eyes quietly training in on the small jewels she used to decorate her works as she thought about the life she would have lead back home, before reminding herself that she was an Aohd horse now.
There was no way she'd leave her sisters behidn anyway. This was their home and although she occasionally would miss the home she had once been apart of, Valore had become a city to adopted to. It was a city where Asalah learned she had a natural talent with bridles and a city where all three siblings made decent money, even if Airita and Asalah both were considered commoners. They made enough money by selling wares to the higher ups through her sister, Airita while Evalynn worked hard as a blacksmith. Even with Asalah's homesickness during the festivals, she had to admit that the city had become true members of the herd by this point, and she didn't mind the lifestyle she and her siblings lead. It was simple (for the most part) and enjoyable.
They had managed to make a business for themselves. Evalynn sold her own personal goods and helped supply intricate designs that Asalah could place onto the bridles she made, Airita helped sell the goods both sibling made, and Asalah took the time to find various materials for Evalynn in her free time between bridle orders. They were a well functioning team... most of the time.
Except on holidays, when both Evalynn and Airita took the day off to celebrate and immerse themselves into the culture of the city. Asalah could still hear the echoes of Airita and Evalynn telling her that she needed to get out more. They both were excited to take part in the new years festival again, though Asalah most definitely preferred staying away from the overindulgence of the rest of the Aodh population. They had asked, and asked, and asked so many times that she thought they would eventually get that she didn't want to join in, but that wasn't the case. This year seemed to be the year that they'd get their sister out of the house to meet somebody or possibly even get her interested in doing something other than working all the time.
Asalah snorted, like they didn't know how stubborn Asalah could be on a normal day. Though she had relented eventually, which was why at this very moment, Asalah was putting away her goods and preparing to take part in the New Years Festival for the first time, despite the fact that she had been a member of the herd for nearly five years. Now she just had to wait on one of her sisters to stop by so that they could get going for the night...
Though, the young draft horse couldn't help but wish that they would forget her promise and leave her be for the night.
