firebirdfalling's Ritan and Faunafawn's Evokar
Setting A cold day in Skeldr Town, winds shrieking off the nearby mountain. The sun is setting, making it colder as the light recedes. Watch out, because there's a cold around.

I pinned my ears back, sniffing the herbs around me. Dozens of scents hit my nose, but I picked out the one I was looking for. A sharp, bitter smell, almost like mint but not quite. I pushed against it with my telekinesis, checking the texture to make sure it was the right one. Fuzzy, with serrated edges. This is what I'm looking for...I thought, picking it up. I turned around, pushing telekenetically at the walls. I found the door, walking through it. Another horse stood there, a mare with a sore leg.
"Boil this in water until it turns brown, then drink it while it's hot. Like tea. Should solve your problem. Use all the leaves." I said, pushing the herbs towards her. A tinkling sound, then I heard her leave, the door shutting behind her. I felt around for the shards, sliding them into a slot in the counter. Ugh. Almost done for the day. I thought, turning back to my storeroom to take inventory.

Evokar || Stone Circle
The sun was colors of pinks and oranges as it began to set in the sky, truly a beautiful sight. Evokar would have drank in the sights, yet he seemed to be taken ill. Something he couldn't afford with his rank, as if he was sick and greeting others on a daily basis, and most of the stone circle was older then himself. Surely the right thing would be to get help. To seek medical attention. Evokar shamefully admitted, he had been putting it off for a week and know he was stuck with this cough that wouldn't stop. How his chest felt tight and he was always cold. He remembered complaining he was cold and someone in the stone circle was quick to shut him up saying it was always cold.
His thoughts were interrupted by his coughing fit, and how his body ached whenever he did. He was a mess and he obviously wasn't going to get over this cold without help. He draped himself in a fur coat and soon made the travel to visit Ritan the medic. The second he stepped out into the cold, he immediately wanted to go back inside. Yet he needed this, he needed to go. Each step ached with new pain, and ever part of him wanted to crumble to the ground. War Forge would allow him to die in the snow, that he seemed so positive of. The strongest survived and if a mere cold could kill Evokar, the better they all were. He forced himself to move, to keep walking. Gods how was he to get there? Tears fell from his face, the cold wind continuously slapping him in his face. This mere winter coat did nothing to keep him warm, it was more weight to carry and he was tempted to drop it and go.
Vision became blurry, or was it because of the snow? Suddenly his rapid imagination and his own eye sight battled to be what he saw. Whether it was all real or not, he was no longer sure. Hooves slipped for a moment and Evokar was down in the snow. He coughed and wheezed and laid there for a moment. Could he just rest for a second? To rest his weary body? No... He thought to himself as he laid his head on the snow. No... his mind shouted to him. He felt his eyes closing. NO. his mind seemed to scream. A soft sigh escaped his lips, surely a rest would do him some good. A sudden rush of wind seemed to bellow at him, he opened his eyes meekly. The winds howled and screamed, he whined only to himself as he got up on shaky legs, the constant wind seeming to push him forwards, as if telling him to move. Surely his goddess did not want him yet. So Evokar moved forwards snow coating him and his winter fur coat left behind.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he found the medics dwelling. He raised a hoof and knocked at the door, gods be good, please let someone be home. Curly locks blew all over his face and he coughed more and more. Please be here. Please. He whinned a bit between his coughs and wheezing. Surely she was here, or maybe another medic? Gods don't let him succumb to the snow once more, because surely if he did, there would be no getting up.

I popped my head out of the storeroom door, ears pointed forward. I swore I heard someone knock, I thought, turning my head in the direction of the door. Another noise, coughing. I sighed. And I thought I was done for the day...Using my telekinesis, I maneuvered my way through the shop, pausing to check that I hadn't trailed any herbs after me on my tail. I'm gonna have to trim it again. Sighing, I opened the door, getting a blast of cold, mountain air. I felt around, finding the customer that was waiting outside. He was a unicorn by the feel of it, male, and apparently come down with a case of the sniffles. Oh yes, just what I need. I pinned my ears back, saying, "Are you going to stand outside or are you going to come in? I don't have all day and I'm going to have to sterilize after you leave." Eyes felt watery, and yet frozen all at once the cold air blistering his face the more he waited at the door. The door opened and he felt the heat of the hearth embrace all around him. Yet it was gone as swiftly as it came as the healer called out to him. A bit abrasive and blunt, but Evokar cared less. Many of the kind here in War Forge acted as such. As if being tough spoken made one a strong warrior on the inside. Then again Evokar was not the warrior type, it was clear he was not even War Forge material, but he was here and that's all that mattered. "Thank you." he remarked as he walked in on shaky legs. As he walked in, he shut the door behind him, and let out a is of relief. It was so warm in this place, but so warm it seemed to burn his flesh, but he didnt mind, it made him feel more alive than what he did out there to the winds. Eyes looked to the Medic and it was then he realized he was in the presence of Ritan. Evokar knew pretty much everyone in the herd, even if not all of them knew him. He believed in being in the Stone Circle you had to know its equine within it. "Sorry for coming here so late... I just can't ignore my illness anymore." he remarked out softly, before coughing plagued him once more and he did his best to cover his mouth, to coughing on himself but it was better than coughing everywhere else. "Sorry." he said in a shaky voice once the coughing died down. Eyes shifted as he looked around the little building before looking to his healer awaiting the orders of what would come next. "Eh, you can't help it. Take a seat before you fall over. I'll be right back." I said, feeling my way to the storeroom. I sniffed around, looking for the right herbs. "Oh, your not allergic to anything right?" I yelled over my shoulder. All I got back in return was another cough followed by a sniffle. Probably not, I thought, snatching up a jar. I felt around for the engraving in it, finding the symbol I put on the bottom of the jar. A honeycomb shape was carved into the ceramic, large enough to feel but not deep enough to snag or break because of it's thinness. I grabbed another, smaller, glass bottle. I didn't have to look for a mark to know what this was. A strong, minty smell reached my nose. I sneezed, then wrinkled my nose. I hate the smell of peppermint, I thought, grabbing a small bag on the way out. I reached the main part of the clinic again, darting around the counter to the fire beyond. There sat an empty pot next to the fire. I set the herbs down on a table, taking the pot outside. I felt around for the water barrel, shivering against the sudden cold. Finding the barrel, I slapped the pot into it, hearing the thin layer of ice crack and crunch. Feeling the weight of the pot, I hurried inside, stomping my hooves against the stone to keep my muscles warm. Coming back inside, I set the pot up so it could heat. I grabbed the honey, then made my way back to the stallion in the waiting room. "Here. Suck on this. Don't eat the wax." I said, passing him a small honey comb from the jar. "You can get more of this at the local market. It may be expensive though because it has to be imported." [Word Count: 314] [Tag: FaunaFawn ]

Evokar || Stone Circle
Evokar nodded briefly as the horse told him to take a sit, and he felt himself flower down and take a seat. His body shook and relaxed as soone as he was down. His joints ached and all Evokar wanted to do now was sleep, he felt so exhausted, yet her barely done a thing today to feel such exhaustion. Curved ears flickered up as Medic asked him a question. "No, I am not allergic to anything." he remarked his voice a bit hoarse due to his coughing. Eyes looked to the floor and he felt himself wanting to lay down, but the last thing he needed was to sleep here in the Medics way, he didnt want to be a bothersome to them. He nearly jumped when the Medic spoke of sucking on this honey comb to not eat the wax. Evokar didn't realize he was spacing out, so when he spoke it nearly made him jump straight up. "Sorry, I can't seem to keep my mind focused." he remarked as he took the honey comb and placed it into his mouth. He sucked on it and felt the sweetness of it all fill his mouth, though it tasted good, Evokar was truly unsure of how exactly honey would help him. He merely eyed the Medic curiously, not wanting to ask as if questioning their work, but out of curiosity's sake. Yet all Evokar could manage was a soft. "Thank you." Pitiful, he thought meekly to himself. WC//251 Tag firebirdfallingNote: Sorry this is so late, dealing with writers block and still not feeling like my writing is up to par, sorry ;u;/

"Your welcome." I said, setting the jar down near him. "It's to help sooth your throat, if your wondering." I added, wandering back behind the counter. I can feel the heat coming off of him from here. I waited behind the counter, counting the seconds between the stallions wheezing breaths. 1...2...breath...1...2...3...breath. That pattern continued, accompanied by more coughs. Well, his breathing sounds fine at least. I went to the fire and, hearing the sound of boiling water, grabbed the herbs and plopped them in, while simultaneously moving the scalding pot to the stone floor. "The brew is almost ready, just need to wait for it to cool down." I said over my shoulder, carefully walking around the pot to snatch up a cup from under the counter. A minute or two passed, then I dipped the cup into the mixture of herbs and water, sniffing it to make sure they mixed. I walked around the counter back to the stallion, saying, "Here, drink this. It'll help with the fever." [Word Count: 176] [Tag: FaunaFawn ] [OOC: omg, I feel so bad about keeping this off. School and all, then having no ideas about what to respond with. D:]

Evokar || Stone Circle || War Forge
Sooth your throat. Evokar almost wanted to purr at such words. He needed that, to feel relief of some sort. Instead he was in a daze as if he drank ale all day. He couldn't think straight, he could recall anything... He was a mess, as if drunk. Evokar nodded . "Thank you." he remarked and drank it down. Yes, sweet relief, he didnt mind the taste as he guzzled it down. His curled ears perked forwards a bit as he watched the stallion move about so effortlessly despite being blind. He was impressed and admired the stallion to keep moving forwards. Though Evokar wondered was he to talked down for not being the strongest of the strong, though maybe it wasn't best to ask. "Ritan." he spoke out softly. "I cannot thank you enough for seeing me during this harsh times." Ears flickered downwards a bit, he had to do something more. "If there is something more that I could do.. Please don't ever hesitate to ask." he remarked offering him a smile, though it was weak and tired, it was all he could muster. "I can help with herbs or anything of the sort. I have a knack for plants it seems." he chuckled a bit as he had plant manipulation. But surely that would help here, in a world of cold and bitterness. Anything to help make plants live a little longer, or grow a little faster. WC||245 Tag|| firebirdfallingNotes|| Oh no worries I totally understand! Ive felt it a bit myself. I am trying to catch up on all my rps since I been exhausted from work so don't worry one bit!
