alcippe The wishes I've made are too vicious to tell Everyone knows I am going to hell Alcippe wouldn't lie. Despite the annoyance and the possible cost to their group of having a skirmish like this in the woods, a fight was a far better prospect than having to play therapist to Vidar. Admittedly, she would absolutely have done it--she certainly wouldn't have offered if she was not going to listen--but a fight, a series of pure, impulsive, adrenaline fueled actions, would be better for her wife than any words she could have offered. It was certainly easier on her.
Vidalia yelled her warning and Alcippe whirled, barking orders that seemed to be (blessedly, due to their training) mostly useless as the Flanks sprang into action. Her shipmates engaged the enemy on many fronts, too many for her to just blast off a sonic scream in the attacker's general direction. Her target would have to be more narrow. She saw a dagger flung and barked out a loud yell of "Dove! Incoming!" There was possibly enough force in the yell to knock the pink mare out of the line of danger if she had aimed correctly.
Another glance satisfied her that most of the combatants were engaged but the bright flare of a fire caught her eye. Whirling, she ran for the kirin, opening her mouth to allow a powerful, wordless scream out at Gemini at the moment that Vidar made the sun rise.
Familiar faces snarled back at them from their opponents and she smiled with renewed determination to beat them back. Bleeding hearts and defectors--they'd deserve it.

Faraji | Bloody Flank Medic
Somewhere, deep within her mind, she knew the stranger's words were wrong. She felt the building tension within her relax however as the effect of Viktor's blessing took over. She sighed but did not move closer to the strange unicorn, knowing deep within her that this was wrong. "Who are you?" She asked him, her eyes narrowing on the smaller spotted frame and moving up towards the sharp, v-shaped horns that were a brighter red than his coat. She knew he had to be part of the group of horses who were attacking. Despite this though, she somehow trusted he would not hurt her. "I don't know you," she started again, frowning, feeling panic begin to rise again like a tide within her. "Step away from the building," she raised her dagger and was furious to see it quivering, her usual control over her nerves slipping. "I...I won't let you near those children." She raised her voice, hoping someone from the Flanks might hear her. There was some strange magic at work here, and whatever it was, was beginning to warp her mind.

Viktor | Disciple
Viktor's smiled remained in place. The old weather-board farmhouse sat behind him and he knew if he could get inside of that building that he would find more followers for Digend. If not that, well they would make suitable sacrifices. Perhaps if he might be able to convince this mare to kill the foals inside herself. Oh that would be more than a perfect gift for Digend, then perhaps he would convince the mare to join them. If not he'd just kill her himself, but either way, it was going to be fun. "Viktor," he gave his head a slight bow. Annoyance flashed in his eyes for a moment as he saw her fighting his blessing, but knew soon enough the fight would dwindle. "Oh, I won't go near those foals in there." He smiled again, ever so kindly and sweet. "I did say I wasn't going to harm them, didn't I?" He heard her quiet "yes" and his smile grew wider. "But that isn't to say that you won't hurt them." His smile dropped and the facade fell away. He stared straight into her eyes, fueling his next set of words with as much as his blessing as he could muster. "Those that you think are mere foals, are not. They are children of Digend. If they are not destroyed now, they will only add to the Chaos and Carnage that you see now." He could see the fear in her eyes, the distant battle of wills. But he would win. "There is no one else who can do it, only you. Only you can kill them. Kill them." He snarled the last words, pouring as much as his blessing into those words as he could. It left him breathless and wary, but oh if it worked...Digend would be more than pleased.

Dove remains uncertain if her arrow actually struck the flesh of someone. She keeps her teeth gritted and her ears are constantly swiveling, her head moving about as she remains vigilant as she uses her teke to load the next bolt and lifts her crossbow when she hears the hoofbeats. They could take these shields.. Dove doesn’t fret. She curls her lip back, wolfish and poised as she stands waiting for the shield to approach, her hooves practically dancing as she prepares to move away, completely unawares of the other individual coming up on her.
She grits her teeth and starts to propel herself and launches another bolt towards the figure. Then a voice breaks her focus, her eyes turn towards Alcippe until she feels the push of the shriek. Dove stumbles sideways, then feels a knife graze her flank as she is moved out of the way. Her eyes then turn towards the figure who threw the knife and backs off to load another bolt… Then light is shed upon them all and she takes in the sight of former clan mates, former flanks. All she is feels is sickening anger and she curls her lip back in disgust, but she doesn’t let it distract her from the conflict at hand.
She takes in the two that have come at her and remains poised, anticipating their next moves. Dove is not ready to die, let alone be murdered at the hands of rogues and traitors.

Kalei
As she charged into the darkness, she approached closer to her target, locking her focus on them. Everything else drowned out around her, all the chaos that raged with the fighting and flames flaring up into the night. Just as she barreled toward the white mare, it was like time had slowed down. In a moment's notice, the mare had shot an arrow at her, whilst dodging. The albino had dug her hooves into the dirt to brace and stop, turning to avoid the arrow. However, it only managed to lodge in her right shoulder. She huffed out a breath, rearing and letting out a roaring sound. With the adrenaline kicked in, it didn't hurt as bad as it should have, though an arrow being shot at one's shoulder was never a good feeling. On a dime she stomped her hooves down and turned, regaining her bearings and eyeing the mare in the darkness. Her mask shrouded her features, though she was quite furious. With her teke she managed to yank the arrow out, her shoulder bleeding all the while. Although now was not the time to tend to it. No, now was the time to strike.
Digend gave her strength to push harder this time, running straight towards her again, though this time she decided to change things up. Just when she got closer to her, she dove to the side, moving to ram her shoulder into her. After this, she pulled up her knife and swung it down toward her, wishing to strike or harm her. Each step of the way she seemed oddly focused, not allowing herself to be set back by the strike. As long as she was alive she would push through until it killed her, even through injury or strife. Digend willed her to do so. She was their pawn, and they were her all-seeing god. She would do as they pleased, no matter the consequences.

VIDALIA | BLOODY FLANKS | RAIDER
Rise and fall, the tide surrounds us and drowns us all.
Caught unaware once already, Vidalia did not fall a second time. Odina hit a wall of solid mass that shoved back, barely giving ground if not for her shattered rib. The unicorn swung her head around, teeth bared and snapping for the brindle's throat whilst another wave of ice erupted and shot up through the ground, catching the mare's foreleg and ripping violently through the soft tissue.
She backed up at the welcome distraction, unsheathing her blade and readying herself for the next round...
Only to be bathed in sudden sunlight.
She squinted for a moment, her gaze having to readjust to the sudden change again, watching as both her companions and enemies alike faltered. Anger began to well in the pit of her stomach at the sight of the turncoats now in broad daylight, fury splashing the sides like acid.
Her next words were animalistic, closer to a snarl than a coherent sentence. "I should have drowned you both the last time we met."
Vidalia advanced upon them slowly, eyes narrowing and wielding the sword at her side with an artful hand, then lunged towards Rose's chest.

Sybil Lαѕт cαll ғor тнe ѕυɴdαy ѕqυαwѕ, Aɴd тнere'ѕ ɴo rooм leғт ғor тнe нeм αɴd нαw.
We’ll ɢιve α ɢιғт loɴɢ overdυe, αɴd мαĸe α ѕυlтαɴ oυт oғ yoυ.
Sybil fell back a bit with a snort as Dove got pushed out of the way, leaving only a graze across her delicately colored coat. Not nearly the cheap shot the stallion wanted, not even a distraction. He only got himself noticed by the other. Chaos was the essence of Digend so he could never be surprised by a fight in the name of the cult devolving into such. He did however want that knife back, he'd need to find it when the fighting was over.
Sybil was, however, glad he hadn't been pricked with an arrow yet. He circled around in the darkness as Kalei had taken the honor of being the only pincushion in their fight so far. The stallion squinted at her as he noticed her teke on the arrow, "No idiot, don't--" Sybil called out before he cut himself off as the mare yanked the arrow out and dropped it to the ground. Now she'd be bleeding like a stuck pig! There was room for some intelligence in Digend's plan, wasn't there?
As Kalei went after Dove again, sunlight suddenly bled through the battle. Sybil snorted and shook his head as the light made spots dance in his eyes that had been adjusted to the dark. With one last good shake he brought his head back up and took in the field. Unlike others in the fight, the cultist didn't recognize former allies, only current enemies. With Dove surely distracted again, Sybil quickly trotted to the arrow Kalei left on the ground. He snatched it up in his teke and snapped around on his hooves. The stallion galloped back toward the fight he was engaged in, though he attempted to keep Kalei between him and Dove. Nothing wrong with a shield was there? He moved alongside Kalei and just enough past her, to attempt to slam Dove's arrow back into her thigh.
TL:DR -Sybil is huffy -Blinded by the light -Uses Kalei as a meat shield while he tries to jab Dove with the arrow Kalei discarded

He was so close to drawing blood he could almost taste it! It was there, right on the tip of his tongue, teasing him with a coppery ghost sliding across his tongue. He knew the flavour, the heat and the absolute indulgence which followed, yet his prey turned out to be swift and a true challenge. Vidar slipped beneath his corrupted form, missing his blade in the process yet wringing a sinister laughter from his throat. He had been made for this, DIGEND had made him for this! The hunt! The battle! AND THE KILL! Fletcher was no longer a mere foot soldier in the army of disciples! He was going to be instrumental in the world's inevitable descent into chaos, and with that madness plaguing his mind, he did not fear his opponent.
There was a moment of something familiar flashing on his opponent's odd face, but before Fletcher could act or think, suddenly his world was cast into angry, vicious light! All three eyes blinked rapidly and then shut tightly against the sudden onslaught. Blinded and burning he shuffled back, still a mass of undeterminable darkness and forms twisting in and out of one another, a horrifying amalgamation of identities.
Teeth were bared while he managed to open his third eye against the angry light, getting a fracture of understanding of the situation. It hadn't changed. Vidar was still the enemy, and therefore Fletcher charged once more, screaming at the top of his lungs for Digend's blessing!

Both sisters recoiled from the scream, their body shaking and jerking away from the source. The torch that had been grasped in their teke was thrown aside, flames licking at the doorstep of another building. The kirin though, the kirin near fell to its knees it was so disorientated.
Just as soon as the sound had hit her, so too had the bright sunlight illuminated the scene. It was easily too much for Andromeda, and in mere seconds, Carina had understood the situation and wrested control from her sister.
The Gemini took one look at Alcippe and decided they would much like to keep their hide. Carina wheeled the body around, and the Gemini was running. Engagement would lead to injury, and if Andromeda had been in control, perhaps that would be fine, but now Carina, the self-preserving sister, was in control.
They saw the other Cultists, locked in their own battles, but they, apart from whatever chase Alcippe may have been inclined to give, where free of much of the chaos. Perhaps, their time in the cult had come to an end. Carina could not say she was displeased with the result.
3 | 211 TLDR; Gemini's running. They have no interest in fighting but they will defend themselves if intercepted.

Rose
When Vidar's blessing brought clarity to their sight, few on either side seemed impacted by the identities of their opponents. As Vidalia resumed her attack Rose responded in kind; clumsily deflecting the sword's blow, its blade scored her chest. She hissed, calling Thorn down to put space between them. The bird flapped his wings in the mule's face so she could step back towards Odina.
"I don't know.", she grunted, "But whatever it is, I don't like it one bit."
If only Astrid was here, Rose lamented, squaring her body to face Vidalia again. Of the family who'd found themselves with the Cult she was the only one Vidar might listen to. Blood dripped steadily from her wound to the ground. All the while she was only somewhat aware of the Cultists and Flanks brawling around them. The confidence in their victory had long since abandoned her; it was anyone's game now.
Weapon held tightly to her side, she made a move for her opponent's flank. She leaped forward to swing the hammer low, its path arcing upwards in a bid for Vidalia's ribs.

alcippe The wishes I've made are too vicious to tell Everyone knows I am going to hell Like most small battles, it was a snarl of bodies scuffling haphazardly around her. Grunts, involuntary pained cries, the flat slaps of bodies colliding with force, and the wetter, nearly obscene sound of weapons breaking skin and burying in their targets was an uneasy, unregulated, staccato soundtrack. She added to the odd symphony with her screams, the first knocked Dove off balance but out of the way of serious damage of a knife.
After the group of confused cries at the sudden bright light, she split the air with a second scream, this one knocking the weird shape of a kirin--a kirin!!-- from their feet. The ancient beast stood and fled. Alcippe smiled sharply as she turned back to the group. Haphazard it was and she scanned the group to see who she could engage next. Despite the sudden, the opponents seemed to be even less prepared than the Bloody Flanks. Most who wandered the wilds of Onea learned how to identify a Cultist--or often they ended up dead, and she could see hints of that fanatical sect on the bodies attacking her shipmates. Good to know they seemed less effective in groups.
She heard Faraji's words and whirled towards the medic. By this time, she knew the mare could hold her own in battle but it was still a fair difference than it being your primary duty. Fuck, the kids. The pale mare took off towards the farmhouse and toward Faraji and Victor to try to protect the bothersome gremlins.

VIDALIA | BLOODY FLANKS | RAIDER
Rise and fall, the tide surrounds us and drowns us all.
[warning for slight gore and death.]
Rose might have been a wonder with sutures, but she was unbalanced with a war hammer, and it showed; ichor now marred the front of her chest, dripping steadily down her legs.
Vidalia reared momentarily at the sudden appearance of Thorn, enraged and spitting at the other mare's cowardice. She swung her blade again, guiding it upwards with her momentum; aiming to cleave the damn bird's wing clean in two. Rose, sensing an opening, followed shortly after the vulture, attempting to take another swing at the seasoned raider. Vidalia just managed to slip by unscathed, ribs burning but with inches to spare and kicked out in retaliation, only to spot another figure trying to flank her, their dagger swinging wildly...
but she was ready this time.
Baring her teeth, she sent this one to its grave, to rot in Kaia's abundant graveyard.
The pointed shard of ice shot up suddenly - like a pike - cutting clean through the Cultist's throat and up through her skull. The mare died choking on her own blood, warm liquid pooling and frothing at her lips as she fell.
