VoidraA Dark Healer It wasn't so unlike others to worry, to be fearful or over cautious. The Cult had themselves to blame for such an act. For years they had hunted down many in these parts, so Voidra did not seemed angered by such acts instead she took a step back fearful. That was until a nothing dashed forwards and Voidra took a step forwards. "Aiolos, please get back here." she remarked to him, fear in her voice as she watched as one seemed to have an arrow armed for the child.
"Please don't hurt him, he is just curious like all children are." she begged. Acting easily like a worried mother over her flock. Voidra looked to them sadly as they questioned her, the whole lot of them. She knew what they were doing testing her, seeing how vast her knowledge was of War Forged. As if they did not know the cult lived here among them. Such a pity, they'd never know. But she could tell how things were going they were not going to give in, they had a single moment to strike.
Voidra looked to her makeshift clan, and offered them a reassuring smile. "We don't belong to clan, just loosely tied group bound with a same sense to try and find a place for us. Vagabonds." she remarked as there was no point in lying and many Vagabonds have been fleeing hiding from the war that was brewing everywhere. "We'll get out of your hair" she remarked looking like she was heading out of their way backpedaling. Voidra looked to them, her smile hidden from the views of those outside the cult. A knowing smile, a signal. Get the child.
With that a rumbling and shaking was seen in Voidra bag, was something moving in there? Without a second to spare bones dropped out the bottom of her back and formed into a an odd skeletal beast. A creature with three head, and seemed to whish its long skeltal tail as it moved closer to the group, prowling towards them ready to attack. Voidra smiled. "I've changed my mind." she laughed. Let chaos reign

Alvane tensed up at the word Vagabonds. She scrunched up her nose and mouth into a snarl. “Then I must ask you to leave. Vagabonds are NOT welcome here.” Her voice harshened into a gruelling tone. She lifts her crossbow. Aiming it at the mare talking as she began to leave. She seemed to be their leader. But something was bitter. She just gave up? Alvane wasn’t buying it. Not in the slightest. The group's posture changed. Even though she had told them they were leaving they were still standing there. Their small child-like eyes bore into the blue-haired mare. Alvane’s once hostile and defensive demeanour went into full-on fight mode. Something fell and clambered around on the ground. It twitched unnaturally, forming into a formidable beast made of bone. Alvane’s eyes changed from that of anger to fear. She watched as 3 heads grew from the pile and it stood on all fours.
She wasn’t sure if it was fear or adrenaline but her body trembled. Her teke gripped around the crossbow. Bringing it up in front of her face. Aiming towards the beast. A sharp inhale, a metallic clang, a clattering of a bolt hitting bone. The mare grazed the cheek of one of the skulls but the bolt bounced off. Flying and falling to the ground. Alvane’s eyes raised in surprise as the blot had done nothing but scored the white bone. That thing will sure be pissed now. The mare swallowed hard. “Forya! Run. Get him away from here!” Alvane spat out the words in panic. Before throwing her crossbow to the ground and drawing her short sword. “Run!” She repeated.
Alvane wasn’t going anywhere. She’d either have the vagabonds retreat or she’d die trying. Or so she would think. She bared her teeth again. Brow furrowed. She’d go down protecting the Warlord flesh and blood if she had to. But the Vagabonds would have a hell of a time trying. "The Mountain Stands!" Her voice announced. Water rolling down her face, a ferocious calm washing over her. A storm was growing within her. Who dares challenges her would feel the wrath.

Nott Nott drew in a sharp breath with the annoyance of the young Pegasus having the guts to strut around their group. But seeing Froya aim the bow before the Pegasus made her smile slightly. Stray too close to the fire little one, you'll burn, Nott thought. This group was too uncertain to her; the way they suddenly appeared, having the audacity to prance around the group of Valkyries, and the way their leader just said that they were Vagabonds. Darting her eyes to the mare, she saw the latter's posture shift. This was starting to become uncomfortable and she knew to trust her gut instinct when something just didn't feel right in the first place. Flicking her ear upon hearing her familiar give out another low growl, Nott saw that one of the Vagabond member's had gotten too close to her. The mare glared at the young colt, hoping to send daggers his way. And hearing him give the Valkyrie a comment made her stomach boil. "You better watch your tongue little one, or I'll-" the sound of bones clattering cut her off and drew her attention back to the scene that was unfolding. A beast of some short took form from the fallen bones and was making its way to their group in a haunting matter. Seeing Alvane's attempt at shooting down the creature had gone downside, Nott used her teke to ready her sword out in front of her. So this is how it's going to be, eh?
Tao's sound of displeasure grew louder, switching from hissing to growling and repeating. Nott hoped that her familiar was focused on the Vagabond colt that was still too close within their range. If he planned on attacking her while she was focused on the ghastly beast, the child was going to wish he didn't pick a fight with her. Agreeing with Alvane was shouting to the older mare, Nott stepped out in front of her in a protective manner. "Froya, please run! We mustn't let harm befall on the child. Alvane and I will stand our grounds to buy you some time!" Nott shouted over her shoulder. She was going to stay here and fight. If she must, she'll stand strong as Mount Skeldr and will have to be forced to move from her spot. The mare was more than willing to show these Vagabonds the power and strength that their War-Lord had taught the Valkyries. "Alright you vile slithering snakes, who wants to dance first?" she smirked, sliding her tongue across her lips in anticipation.

Froya | Valkyrie All traces of the sun’s golden rays had faded, night settled and the scene was illuminated only by the ethereal glow of the Silverwood. The clouds above, hidden from the parties below, thickened along with the rainfall.
With an ear angled to capture the continued conversation, Froya kept her eyes on the young pegasus. He was small and didn’t appear much of a threat, but a blessing or hidden dagger in the hands of a runt could still deal damage and the Valkyrie wasn’t keen on the risk. Revealing themselves as Vagabonds, the lead mare turned to leave. Froya thought it best to let them go despite their illegal status, since they outnumbered them and the Valkyries’ priority was Grigori’s safety. Almost as the thought came, it disintegrated as the scenario quickly spiraled into a fight.
She heard Alvane’s crossbow fire, the bolt deflect off bone, and the rising panic in Alvane’s voice as she ordered Froya to flee. A twisting in her belly warred inside her, she did not want to abandon her sisters, but with the War Lord’s son upon her back she had greater responsibility. There was pity in her heart for the colt before her, for he was young and perhaps a corrupted innocent, but it did not stay her teke. Her arrow bridged distance between them and plummeted into the pegasus’ chest, delving deep into his flesh until it nested itself underneath his shoulder blade. Swift as Ignacio’s lighting she readied a second shot and bellowed sternly at her companions, her voice commanding and harsh in an attempt to shake Alvane from her panic.
“Keep your wits about you, now’s not the time to lose your nerve!”
Leaping forward, she let her second arrow fly as she passed the Nothing and it sank into his hip. A light glow of teke rested over Grigori, to help keep him secure on her back as she ran. Snaking between massive, gleaming trunks, the Valkyrie regretfully abandoned her peers. She had faith in them, despite the odds, because she had to.

The time had finally come. The Valkyries had not bought into their story for even a second. His muscles tensed beneath his dark coat as he heard the clatter of bone. It unsettled him, but his fears were not important right now.
Kota honestly could not decide what to do at first. Everything happened quickly. An arrow ricocheted off of the homunculus and fell pathetically to the earth. The Valkyries began to shout at each other and two arrows sunk into the flesh of the youngling and Kota's blood ran cold. Rage flooded through him and his heart pounded behind the eyes carved into his chest.
He streaked forward after the mare that fired the bolts. She seemed important, and the Forgeds were foolish enough to shout their plans across the group. He knew it was dangerous to follow after a leader, but he knew only of his goal. If he could capture that foal, Kota knew that a large reward would be in for him. He did not have a blessing, and almost questioned whether he would ever receive one, so he had to outsmart and outrun her.

E V A N O R A☽ The Rotmother ☾......Wavering on the fringe of their motley crowd, Evanora's muscles were tense; coiled like a viper waiting to strike. She watched with her cardinal gaze as the Valkyries stood before them, wary and antsy in a way that delighted her. Oh, how she wanted to watch them squirm! They were certainly an impressive bunch, gleaming and heavy in all their fancy gear. A tingle in the back of Evanora's mind reminded her that she had once thought the Valkyries were argent heroes, in a life much younger. How funny now that they saddled themselves on opposite sides. The Silverwood's milky copse bristled under the chill as night washed over them, though Evie wasn't paying much mind at the moment.
It took all of her self control to remain silent while Voidra spoke in that viciously honeyed voice of hers, every instinct in her was thrumming to be let out; fight, kill, destroy. It was a desire that was taut and wickedly sharp-edged, a liquid glass that trickled through her veins. The molten need bubbled against her rib cage with every breath and beat of her heart.
Evie managed to keep her muzzle shut, though the greedy look in her eyes was one unable to be quelled. She was a grease fire waiting for water. When their hellion of a leader finally set her cult free, severing the fragile ties of peace, violence erupted within the clearing in a glorious, bloody tide.
The metallic clink of the Valkyries readying their weapons rang through the woods, followed immediately by the sharp whistling of two bolts spearing through the air while their apparent leader turned to flee. With a fleshy thud, they landed snug in the meat of the little Nothing from earlier. Kicking into action, Evanora darted forward low and fast, snaking towards the injured Nothing and the Valkyrie Mare who had so boldly called them snakes. "Hilarious," Evanora barked out a laugh, "don't you realize you're all going to die?"
As the swampish Mare slid to a stop before the Valkyrie, her hooves dug firmly into the earth and kicked up a plume of mud and dust. The radiant silver sheen of the grove casted the horses below in an otherworldly afterglow, pearls of lustrous light that seemed to make their battle all the more supernatural. Through the haze, Evanora locked eyes with her enemy; her sanguine stare was wild-eyed and giddy. She grinned.
"Your nerves will be numb by the time we are finished with you, silly Valkyries." She crooned, the cloying sweetness of her voice severely belying her sinister words. Without a moments respite, the mare suddenly plunged forwards: she aimed for the pale brown Valkyrie's legs, hoping a strong kick would land in the nook of her joints. She didn't want to waste time fighting this fool; she had to get around her. The child was their mission.
Though not equipped with much in the way of armor or weapons, Evie made up for it with a hefty size and a certain madness to her actions. She was an unpredictable storm, her tangled mess of a mane knotted around her face like a blonde tornado. No, Evanora did not need petty metals to win her this battle.
Digend's strength was all she would need.

Vitali rolled his dark brown eyes and snorted softly at the tone Kota took with him, as if he was a mere Nothing. A child. He chose not to respond, hanging back and watching, observing, as the events played out in front of him. The tense muscles of the Valkyries and the disgust on their faces riveted every sense in his body from nose to tail. He acted as the angsty teen being dragged along by his family, not really far from the truth. The true Nothings toyed with the wary mares as the humble “Flora” tried to explain to them their situation.
They weren’t buying it and Vitali could tell, he kept his head low readying himself for the bloodspill he signed up for. Goliath shifted anxiously with anticipation by his owner’s hooves. He was so used to being able to wander off as he pleased but now wasn’t the time. Strained words were exchanged and before Vitali knew it, weapons were being fired. Bones and dark magic roared from in front of him, which caught his full attention. Bolts were fired, metal clanged against bone and the sound of flesh being pierced, caused a malicious grin to form across the boy’s maw.
The Forged mare with the foal upon her back bolted from the fight, cowardly Vitali thought but he was not having it. Moth wings fluttered through the chaos, straight for the fleeing mare followed closely by the pegasus. Goliath caught up with her before Vitali did. The giant moth pestered at her haunches like a bug to a bright flame. With a sinister smirk, the boy called upon his blessing, one he was begrudgingly born with, however, learned to find it useful. He focused it on the Valkyrie’s legs hoping it would cause her to slow or even better, stop.

Froya | Valkyrie The Valkyrie had made headway long before the moth had began to badger her. Continuing to run, she ignored it and focused on placing her hooves upon solid ground, attempting to avoid the slippery Silverwood roots. Over the rain and her own intake of breath, she couldn’t hear how many pursued her and didn’t dare spare a glance backwards. A moment's pause could mean everything, and she had to cover as much ground as possible before the vagabonds broke free from her shield sisters’ diversion.
Sooner than she had hoped, the vagrants had caught up to her. Vitali’s pain filled grasp reached her, infesting her legs. She let out a bark of pain as her hind limbs buckled beneath her, Grigori tumbling from her back and slamming onto the wet floor of the grove. With teeth gritted against the burning in her limbs, she swung her head to assess her adversaries. She could pick out two shapes slipping through the shadows and light of the Silverwoods. With difficulty, she stood and limped to where Grigori lay, shakily lifting him with her teke and shoving him into a small nook formed by tightly knitted roots. Standing over the burrow, she used herself as a barricade to protect the foal.
Again she fitted several arrows into her bow, sending two singing in the direction of the closer of the approaching cultists.

VoidraA Dark Healer Eyes were calm, her heart did not race as the scene unfolded before her like a grand show opening its curtains. It was all so beautiful and Voidra was on the front row of chaos,. Her pretty little pet, had an arrow hit it, and Voidra rolled with laughter and delight. "Bolts will do you no good for my child." she purred out with delight. Voidra took a step forwards, until she was walking into the chaos, head lifted as she reigned ruler of this chaos.
Her skeleton chimera pet rolled closer to her, as the dark magic began to glow, suddenly the creature was changing a bit as skeletons of snake slivered out, skulls changed to have fangs like cats on them. Three snake bodies for a tail and the rest the usual chimera. "Perfection." she sighed with delight. her creature a force to be reckoned with. Yet as she looked outwards, she noticed the Nothings were hit. Good. Let them learn this life will never be merciful, let them know if they wish to pervail they must over come this. They must be more then the pain that will be scared onto their body.
The chimera hissed and snarled, as the bones clattered together snapping at any that tried to get close to her, and then she saw the leader with the child separate from the herd. Did they never learn. Such a fool. Separated from the flock, just like prey, they would be consumed by the cultist. Had the valkyire not seen this done so many times in the wild? Wolves to their prey always separated one from the pack, and look at that, they did it with such ease. Two of her own began to follow in her quake. Voidra did prey that would give her hell, the child would be unharmed.
"Such a pity, you left your leader so very alone." she tilted her head with a smile. "Do you really think we would be the only ones here in the woods? The two following after her will be lighting the signal. A do wonder what will happen to her, so far away from her fighters... She maybe a match for 2. But what about 5?" Voidr grinned, her words rolling out like poison. "Id hate to miss a good show what about the rest of you?" Voidra was making it clear, they were here for the child, forget the rest, go after the child and if any stopped them. Kill them.
"I'll give you a second, to pray for to your gods, I do hope they find mercy on your soul." She spoke so gently, as her creature leaped at Alvane. "Please send the gods my regards, I'm here for the wake of their destruction." she purred out as the creature aimed to rip at Alvane's shoulder.

Aiolos;Vagabond | Nothing Keep your head down, say nothing. The nothing gave a shake as if shedding a skin as Voidra's tone changed, giving the cult the signal that their acting was finished. Feathers ruffled and crest raised, the pegasus turned his head and looked the valkyrie dead in the eyes as she aimed the arrow directly at him. Like he hadn't dealt with worse!
Thunk. The pegasus recoiled as pure hot pain thrust its way into his chest. The fire lit a grin up on his face, it had been years since he felt like he could play like a child. As the fear covered words were tossed between the mares, the Nothing grew more excited. Now it all really began. He barely flinched as the second arrow lodged its way into his hip. Scoffing, Aiolos pushed through the pain and took to the sky. His teke pulled a hidden slingshot from his wings and began shooting sharp rocks at the remaining warriors' eyes, keeping them distracted while Vitali and Nott took after the child.
After a few shots hit their mark, the Nothing heard the instruction in Voidra's tone and swiveling his ears he caught the sound of the group up ahead with their target. Grinning at the opportunity to use his wings with no repercussions, he flapped harder and swiftly made his way to them. Hovering just above them, Aiolos was happy to be the distraction the group needed, however he was grateful not to be the target of the two arrows that were sent by the leader.
"I think it's best you give up now. They will stop at nothing, I should know. I am nothing." He told her with a sickeningly pure grin. Landing on the ground, Aiolos was prepared to give his life for the mission.

Echoes rang throughout the forest. There were so many sounds snagging his attention that he nearly missed the twang of a bow string. Unfortunately it was too late for him to do anything about it. He braced as the arrow rended a strip of flesh from his neck. It was a thick wound, but nothing detrimental. The heat of the ripped tissue and fresh blood sent a new wave of determination through Kota.
The Forged mare stumbled, throwing the kirin child from her back. He took the opening to sprint forward, his movements thwarted by her bolts. He no longer had the element of surprise. While she moved to reload her bow, Kota lunged toward her with his mouth wide. He aimed his teeth for her face, hoping to knock any of her senses useless. Her vision would be the most helpful to her but the hardest to damage.
Kota hoped that Vitali would use the distraction to his advantage and go for the foal. Kota knew that he was likely to take more damage by ramming head on into this trained fighter, but he hoped savagery would be on his side. He felt Digend with him, stirring his rage and boiling his blood. The hammering of his own heartbeat in his ears fueled him. This is for my family. He gnashed his teeth and struck out, hoping to land at least a few blows somewhere.

Froya | Valkyrie As Kota closed in on her, Froya dropped her bow and drew her sword. She slashed at the stallion’s neck and chest while his teeth repeatedly grazed and tore at her face. Blood trickled from his successful bites, but she continued to straddle the entrance of the burrow where Grigori was stashed. Her blade leaving deep, seeping wounds over Kota’s dark pelt.
She did not hear what Aiolos said and honestly didn’t care, but the Valkyrie was certainly surprised and momentarily confused as to how the young colt had recovered so quickly from taking two arrows at close range. Three cultists had managed to follow her into the depths of Kaia’s woods... had Nott and Alvane really been overwhelmed so quickly? Frustration bubbled up inside her and she swung her blade savagely, aiming to embed it where Kota’s jaw met his neck. It would be a wound that would likely lead to the vagabond bleeding out, if he didn’t avoid it in time.
“GET BACK!” she barked, kicking a front leg out and planting a hoof into the Cultist’s chest as she brought her sword down onto his neck.

Alvane let out a breath. It weightlessly getting lost in the rain. She had saw the three split the pack and head for Froya. Just like she thought they would. The beast continued to form. A monstrosity grew in front of the Valkyries. The small grey Nothing began shooting rocks at the two. All the while the mare wanted to rip his little head off. Voidra began speaking. Her calm underlying tone could almost be called soothing if not creepy and strange in this type of situation. A crack of lightning followed by thunder played in the distance, just barely illuminating the almost darkened area. A devilish smile crossed the blue-haired mare's lips as the cultist leader continued.
Her defensive deminer lightened. Instead of her head down ready for a fight. It raised up, held high. “I don’t need salvation from my gods, They have already given it to me.” Alvane let out a growl from her throat. “How about you shove your god where the sun doesn’t shine!” Her voice becoming more grilling and deep. The others began moving in on the mare and her companion. Though Nott was doing her best to fight them off. “I’ve had enough of playing with you, I think it's time we leave.” The smile regained on Alvane’s lips, her brow furrowed as she took her defending stance again. The mare’s nose scrunched up as she spoke again, “Bite on this, Bitch!” The mare let out a roar as the skeletal monstrosity leapt at her. A sound wave shook at the trees. Throwing anything that wasn’t rooted into the ground, away from the Valkyries. A deafening thunderous clap rained across the Cultists and their pet, save for the two on Nott. That would surely give them a moment, perhaps more to run for Froya.
Alvane ran at Nott, Hoping she caught the drift to stop fighting. Alvane, bolting in the other mares direction. Sword bared and aiming for one of the Nothings fighting with Nott. She came to a sliding stop, rearing at the pale coated mare. Attempting to get in between the two “I suggest you back off!” she hissed before thrusting her sword at her in attempts to push the mare away. Ears back and teeth bared. The mare leapt away at Alvane's thrust but the mare just managed to nick her neck before she ran past the two Valkyries and into the tree's, towards Froya. Alvane again shouted towards her comrade. “Go, Now! We don’t have a lot of time.” The mare pushed at Nott to run. The mare swivelled on her hind legs and bolted in the direction of Froya and the colt. “Hopefully we’re not too late.” The mare called back towards the Grulla. All the while trying to pick her footing right over the roots and slippery ground. Her forelock had come loose and flew in the wind. Not that she cared at all now. They heard Froya’s yelling first. Alvane came to a stop as well as asking Nott to as well. “You keep going forward, charge into there and do what you have to.” The mare nodded before heading a little more off to the side. She would use the dark to her advantage. They would hopefully get distracted by the Grullo coming in that they hopefully wouldn’t notice Alvane quietly flanking in from the side. This was now her playground.
The mare cantered almost silently around the trees. Her hoofbeats wouldn’t be heard over the struggling and shouting, or at least she hoped. She slowed and rounded the back of the tree’s, stepping lightly and carefully enough to not step on anything.

E V A N O R A☽ The Rotmother ☾......A thunderous ripple tore through the dirt as the other Valkyrie's sonic voice roared in a sonorous war cry. It shook the earth beneath their hooves and set Evanora's teeth on edge with a static sensation. The vibrations made her bones hiss, but thankfully the brunt of the attack had been focused on Voidra and not her. She recovered with a sharp shake of her head, her thoughts clearing in a calming swathe. Focus.
Evanora did not have the luxury of time to see if her kick had been effective to the Valkyrie before her. Time was of the essence, this Evie knew - though she was quite disappointed she wouldn't be able to admire the visceral crunch of leg bones snapping.
Digging her hooves into the ground and pulling back, the mare swerved to get past the Valkyries, launching herself into a gallop down the muddied path that Froya had fled upon. Her dodge had been a second too slow, the tip of the Valkyrie's sword leaving a gash along Evie's shoulder in a brilliant splash of crimson. Yet the pain only made her feel more alive! Chaos bled in these veins for Digend - there was nothing that could stop them. She had to get to Froya and the child. It seemed the other two Valkyries had the same idea. Not wishing for them to slow her down, Evie split away off the path and through the trees: a possible short-cut, if she was lucky. 'Twas a race to the finish line!
Hoof beats punctuated the silence, the thick trees melting into a silver blur as her legs pushed her forward with a surge of adrenaline. Years of living in her overgrown, dense Onean swamp had prepared the pale cultist for this moment; she navigated the Silverwood with a deft ease. Though she was not the fastest horse, Evanora's agility was certainly more than enough to guide her through the woods. She leapt over the gnarled roots that writhed in the dirt like silver fingers, weaving between tree trunks until finally she neared her destination. Though Evanora had no clue if the Valkyries managed to keep up with her, the confidence brimming in her grin told her it was doubtful. She did not care to look back.
As the pearly branches thinned, Evanora soared into the clearing. There she saw their Valkyrie commander Froya crouched, tense and vicious like a wild cat defending its young. Her fellow Cult descended upon her like starving wolves. Hah. Then let Evanora be the bull that clears their path!
Gathering up all of her strength in a steely wall of iron and thorn, Evanora did not slow from her sprint. Shoving forwards with the rapid momentum urging her onwards, she veered towards Froya like a speeding bullet. If she was fast enough, Evanora would try to slam her body into the dark Mare's side and shove her aside; thus leaving an opening for the Cult to snatch the whelpling child curled up behind her.
The only warning that Evanora was able to bark out to her Cultist kin came out in a breathless cackle; "Prepare yourselves, and get the whelp! Make Digend proud!"

Aiolos;Vagabond | Nothing Keep your head down, say nothing. Blood pounded in his ears as the chaos ensued. The Nothing was finally living. He enjoyed watching the warrior's face as she battled her options, realizing that they were very limited all she could do was fight them.
Struggling to contain it, Aiolos laughed at the mare's decision. Kota was on the ground beaten by a girl! But that was not what amused him. It was the fact that the mare thought she would stop them by threatening the life of one their own. "I really don't think you understand who you're dealing with." Aiolos had seen enough death to know the Cult did not care if they lost another to her embrace. Digend would praise them for it.
Crest flexed as the Nothing swiveled his ears, listening to the sudden oncoming equines. Drawing his slingshot again, the pegasus raised his wings, ready to take flight if need be. He smiled as Evanora broke through the darkness, heading straight for the bundle that was Kota and the mare. He nodded sharply and instantly fell in behind her as she made a beeline for them.
Adding to the fray, Aiolos quickly moved in front of the precious cargo as a small gap became open. He knew he did not have the strength to pull the child out by himself. So he took to being the guardian instead. One foot on top of the blanket with his teke holding the slingshot ready. Aiolos unfurled his wings to make himself look bigger than he really was. By Digend he hoped this mission would be over soon.

The young spotted stallion took a split second to assess his situation. The mare in front of him was frantic, on her last thread. Perfect. Dutifully, Kota was the first to strike at her only to befall upon her sword. A sinister grin stretched across Vitali’s muzzle. It was so fulfilling to see the others sacrifice themselves like some distraught heroes. His ears quickly fell back at the sudden war cry of the blue haired mare. Why do that have to be so annoying? He scowled in response, expecting the others to be closing in on them by now. And, he was right.
They were on their way and they had to act quickly. Vitali was ready to take the opening Kota had created, only to have it foiled by Evanora. The sound of bodies colliding threw him off guard, but, he took advantage. Watching the winged Nothing move in front of the child, he followed suit, figuring a bigger body would be better off than a scrawny one. He gave Aiolos a heated nod before joining him with his head lowered and wings unfurled.
Umber eyes kept hold of the chaos in front of the pair as Goliath watched their back. A glow of red-orange teke pushed down on the kirin foal, helping keep it’s small body in it’s place. Vitali raised his head ever so slightly, seeing the grullo mare in the distance. Alone. Where was the other he wandered? Maybe Voidra’s pet gave the evil mare new bones to play with One could only hope. Nevertheless, Vitali kept his guard up, ready for anyone or anything.

Froya | Valkyrie A light blur formed in the corner of the Valkyrie’s eye, but it was obscured by the shadows and glow of the Silverwood. She didn’t pay it mind, at first, because she couldn’t. Kota was upon her and he had required most of her focus. Unwilling to lose her sword to him required her to be deft and aware, a moving speck couldn’t be spared her scrutiny. Leaping through the treeline, like a pale comet in the forest’s light, the speck grew until it was a charging equine. Now it demanded Froya’s attention and she could not deny it.
Following through with her swordstroke until it made contact with Kota’s neck, she immediately released it from her teke. It held, momentarily, but as Kota’s body inevitably turned from the impact the weight of the sword itself caused it to slide out from the wound and be flung from the scene. It thunked heavily against the entanglement of glowing roots and it fell repeatedly over tree limbs before sliding to it’s final resting place. A bloody trail painted the roots in its wake, the plant illuminating the red stain from the inside.
As her weapon flew to the wayside, Froya had begun to turn to face Evie, her body started to hum with the color of the Valkyrie’s golden teke. When her eyes locked with the quickly approaching Evanora, the warrior had been transformed into a glowing specter. Her equid form slipped away in a golden dust, seeping from orifices in her armor until it all fell away into a pile on top of Grigori. The storm of gold reformed, quickly, until it was a glittering, massive sabre cat. Snarling, the animal stood ready to receive Evanora, it’s golden fur losing its teke illumination as the cultist plummeted into them, the collision dense and audible. The pair tumbled over the edge of the root structure, tightly knitted in an embrace as they rolled and rolled down the side of the rise. Froya’s claws dug into the mare’s flesh, tearing deep furrows as she held onto the bogwitch.
Grunting and yowling as her body repeatedly crashed upon root and rock. Once their rolling mass came to a halt, the Valkyrie released her hooks from the cultists’ pelt and began to beat her instinctually and mercilessly with her tremendous claw tipped paws. Froya’s heart was pounding in her ears, she couldn’t think of what was happening on hill above them, in that burrow below the massive Silverwoods. All she could concentrate on was being the mighty wildcat about to maul Evanora and that she deserved the mauling.

Nott
Before Nott could respond to the swamp-looking mare who so boldly decided to kick at her legs and sweep up mud and dust, Alvane intervened and urged her focus on catching up with the others. The young mare shook her head to recover from the particles that were thrown at her. Using her teke to sheathed her sword back into her holster with the small amount of time the other Valkyrie provided for her. She quickly ignored the pain that was inflicted onto her legs and dashed off with her comrade. Retreating, Tao saw his owner rush off and scurried off to go aid his master, leaving the young colt he was occupied with. Nott did her best to keep up with the blue-haired mare, avoiding the gnarly, twisting roots of the Silverwoods and trying to steady her hooves into the slippery forest ground. I swear, it's like Kaia wants us to fall on our faces and fail... She could sense the worry in her comrade's voice, for she felt the same. The thought of the War-Lord's son being kidnapped by Cultists only urged the Valkyrie to push herself harder, ignoring the fiery pain that persisted her to stop and examine, only to hopefully make in time to to protect the young boy. Seeing Alvane come to a halt, Nott slowed down and listened to her plan, nodding at her in confirmation. Now this was something she was ready to do; charging in like a heathen and using her armor and her weight to body slam at least someone. Glancing down at her familiar, the grullo hoped he would follow in suit at what she was going to do. "Right now, let's get this over and done with."
Nott mustered up all her strength and barreled out of the lining of the trees, pushing out the speed she had conjured. She gave out a loud warrior cry, her hooves beating down on the ground with a thunderous rhythm, purposely making herself noticeable. Seeing that she successfully caught the attention of one of the Nothing's, the Valkyrie shoved all her weight into the spotted Pegasus, bouncing back from her impact she inflicted. The momentum she developed seemed to work for the Pegasus she aimed for had fallen over from her forced shove. Tao followed after his master and was caught by the attention of the giant moth that was near the little group. He pounced in front of the creature, snarling and swatting at the giant beast, flicking his tail in agitation. Turning her gaze at the other Pegasus who was decorated with blood from the shot Froya did onto him, Nott's amber-colored teke flashed over her halter and withdrew her sword in a swift, fluid motion. She raised the sword eye-level, aiming it towards Aiolos. "I suggest you step away from the child unless you want to loose your wings." She snarled, her features forming into a deadly scowl. The mare took note of her enemy's choice of weapon; a slingshot. It'll do little damage to her but she kept the weapon in mind. Nott inched closer to Aiolos, treading lightly so the Nothing wouldn't harm the child in her movements. Looking up into the tree lines above, she saw a conspiracy of ravens who seemed interested in the scene below on the forest floor. Delightful... the grulla hummed in thought. Using her Beast summoning blessing, the mare summoned one of the ravens to swoop down and at least blind the Pegasus' line of sight while rushing over to check up on the child.
Nott stood over him, with her sword still aimed towards the snowy-white Pegasus. "Back down now Nothing and I may just let you live but not without marking you up." The Valkyrie gave out a deadly warning.

The mare placed herself quietly around the tree’s, the commotion on the other side did not concern her. She had a plan and she was following it the best she could. The mare slid her mask over her face properly. Her teke slightly illuminating her face for a split second. Standing in the dark she could see the bundle tucked into the roots of a tree on the other side of where she stood, though Froya couldn’t tend to the child while fighting off the swampy brute. The two pegasus stood in the way of the child protectively… maliciously. But Alvane knew she couldn’t go in from the front as it would give away her position.
The mare watched and gritted her teeth as she wanted to help Froya fight these idiots but again she had to remain on her path. She waited till Nott charged in amongst the rabble and she made her move. Alvane lowered her frame and passed around the massively great tree’s slowly, around to the back side, just within reach of the foal. Nott’s big cat came bounding in to attempt to take out the large moth. Distracting them enough that they would be out of the way. But Vitali still stood in her way. His teke pressed down upon the child as if to ensure he would stay there. Her head poked around the tree’s base. Enough that she could see Nott charging him down. His teke losing its concentration in the midst of things.
Alvane could hear the colts scared whimpering. Obvious that Froya’s running had been enough to stir him awake, as well as being thrown from her back in amongst the fighting. It made her heart sink slightly that the group had let this happen. Another flash of lightning grew closer and a roar of thunder followed closely. Grigori jumped from surprise under his cloak and Alvane made her move. Her blue and black starry teke swaddled up the colt her words whispering to his small frame. “Quite little one” her tone soft and gentle “They will hear us. Let's get you out of here.” Alvane made sure that Nott had seen her pick up Grigori. And with a flick of her head, she signalled her to run off, hopefully with Froya and to lead the band away from her direction. Again placing the foal upon her back, though still wrapped in her teke. The mare hastily moved away from the small clearing. Hoping her sisters in arms could do so as well. It left a lump in her throat to leave them behind but Grigori’s life depended on it. The farther she got from the clearing the faster she ran. Though unsure if someone had followed her or not. They would get a dagger to the throat if she caught them.
Alvane: "This is mine now. K. Thnx. Bye."

KotaPost #6 | WC: 235 Kota had made a grave error. He had been a fool to throw himself at the heavily armored, battleworn Forgeds. His brute force meant nothing to plate and steel. Time had slowed, and he really wished that he would have planned better.
A wild arc of metal embedded itself into Kota's neck, only to be immediately released. For a minute the only thing the dark pintaloosa felt was the cold weight of a blade and ripping sinews. The blade used his flesh as a fulcrum, then flipped wildly away into the foilage with a bloodied tail following. Warmth spread down his throat then froze at his chest. He stared blindly forward as he fell to his knees, a gasp escaping his lips. How had this happened?
A miscalculation.
As the forest floor darkened, Kota knew he could not just lay here. He would be executed or worse if he gave up now. He slowly lifted his eyes to the chaos around him. Froya had moved on, seemingly to no where. A cacophany of yowls and screams bellowed through the gleaming tree trunks. The pegasi were currently occupied with another Valkyrie. Now was his chance.
Kota mustered what little focus he could to find the discarded weapon. His bronze teke gently lifted the sword, its weight slightly surprising, and he charged the nearest of the mares, aiming for whatever vitals were available.

E V A N O R A☽ The Rotmother ☾......The rocky crag-side buffeted their fall with a bed of unwelcoming stone and earth as Evanora tumbled down, violently entangled with the hissing wild cat that was once Froya. Already she could tell that her body would be sorely bruised at the end of this, promises of angry violet splotches soon to come. Swabs of cotton floated in her head, dizzy and disoriented from their fun little plunge into the leafage.
The first sensation to trickle in through the haze of vertigo was pain. A white, knife sharp pain that felt like strings of glass slashing across her skin - Froya's claws snagged and tore through the Bogwitch's fur, vicious and unrelenting. A horrid blend of laughter and pained shrieking howled from Evanora's raw throat, shaking the uncaring silver branches around them. Blood soaked the verdant grass, droplets spilling onto the silver roots in a vibrantly macabre contrast.
"How sweet you are to fight so hard, little kitten! It will do you no such good in the end." The witch declared between her desperate gulps for breath, a smile accompanying the wince on her face, "In the end... everything... is for Digend!" As she spoke her God's glorious name, Evanora finally rallied her wits and sharply kicked up with her back legs into the furious cat on top of her. Scrambling backwards, Evie tried to put some distance between them as her ruby gaze fought the urge to glance upwards where the rest of the battle was. She had to trust that Digend's strength would see them through.
And if not? Then she'd go out fighting with every bloody tooth and hoof she had, come hell or high water.

VoidraA Dark Healer The scene before her was unfolding ever so nicely, she mused to herself. The one with the loud mouth of a gift forced her back and soon everyone was running forwards, while Voidra stood there for a moment, her mind racing forwards, plotting and planning. Enough seconds have passed before she looked to he creature and nodded. "It's time." she purred out to her own skeletal creation.
Voidra took off to the side and was rushing onwards following the mass group from the side, it wasn't hard to follow them. Gods knows they all made enough noise to ensure Voidra was on the right path without truly being seen. The mission was clear for her from the start. The child was to be taken, and nothing and no one would stand in her way. The chase was always her favorite part of the hunt. Was there not always a thrill to give the prey some hope, as if they really stood a fighting chance in this madness?
Hooves began to slow as she drew closer to the fighting scene, it seemed they had caught up with Froya and the child. Good, good. Let them taste failure, let them return home with the fact that had lost Hira's child. Voidra hoped this would destroy her spirit, take a bit of sparkle out of their eyes. A smile grew on her lips, showing off her sharp fangs, yet that loud mouth mare was quick on the defense, almost popping out of no where and took the child. Bunch of daft fools, she sneered as she looked to her creature and nodded. "Get her now." she hissed ever so quietly.
The creature leaped forwards instantly on the pursuit as Voidra seemed to follow after with ease. Bones clattered together as the creature made its way to Alvane, swiping its paw and her hind leg, allowing her to stumble to trip up, enough time to allow the creature to leap once more and tare at the swaddling of the child. Let chaos reign.
A child screamed, and Voidra was quick to take in on the scene. "Don't harm the child, we need him." she spoke, even though it was not needed. She merely wanted to let her presence be known. "Truly you thought you'd win in this? Digend said the child will be ours. But if you are so determind to be with the child. Well I see no issue with bringing you along." Voidra grinned. "We've had prisoners, before, Im eager to see how long you can make it. The last one made it a week before the madness began to take them. I do wonder what gets under your skin." she remarked. During her little talk the creature pinned the child down, mouth near its neck, showing it would kill if needed. Would kill if Alvane acted up, Let them bring back a dead child as if it would be any better.
"So come along, watch over your little war lords son. Let you be a witness for what Digend has planned for the child." she smiled as looked to the mare. "One wrong step, and we'll scar the child, take an eye out, rip a scale off. The more trouble you create, the more backlash for the child. So come with me peaceful unless you enjoy the wailing of children." she chuckled. Voidra took out a halter and lead tying it on both the mare and child. The creature clattered its teeth at the pair ensuring they both moved along with Voidra into the darkness of the tree. The rest of the cult would catch up after they had their fun.

Congratulations on completing your plot! Full rewards to Froya, Voidra, Alvane, Evanora, Aiolos, Nott, Kota, Vitali, Sigastira The Valkyries fought fiercely and bravely, and made the Cultists pay for every victory in blood, but a Cultist victory it was in the end. Voidra was able to overwhelm the fleeing Alvane, taking the Valkyrie hostage along with Grigori. The bloodied and furious Valkyries spent hours hunting the Cultists, but to no avail, and eventually the group limped home, probably preferring the prospect of another Cultist attack over breaking the news to Hira.
