Ah. Good. Jun knew what would be best to do here. She spoke words that he felt, would help stir something within the rogues. The demands weren’t terribly difficult after all... A bit of a threat, but, it was not something uncommon with the rogues. His cold gaze flicked to the white captain, a small sneer finding its way onto hisface for the briefest of fleeting moments. Hmph. At least he would not support the mainland... It was better than completely opposing them... Still, as much as he disliked the white captain now, and the smirk on his face, he had a small point. What was Jun and the Flight planning?
His ears twitched, hearing whispering at the table. He could make little out, understanding it was simply a discssion of thoughts between Samael and the one he had brought with him. Hm. Nothing interesting. Perking up once Samael began speaking again, Zhen felt a soft smile grace his face at the mention of verifying the documents. “I’m quite literate, if I was to say so. My father raised me on books, maps, and literature. I can verify the documents easily, read them aloud if you all would like, then I can pass them about so you all can look upon them yourselves and make what you will of them.” A small gleam of interest flickered in his gaze as he reached out, a deep blue glow enveloping the documents as he pulled them over to him, hesitating to open and read them. “That is, if we are in agreement? Ah, pardon my somewhat rushed actions, Captain, this is essentially my job after all.” He looked at Kidd, the documents floating in front of him, remaining unopened.
It was mostly a faked apology, simply to keep peace and seem humble. He would very much rather not get on any rogue’s bad side at the current moment. He needed their trust. He would like to simply go ahead and read the documents, but, if he wanted to keep all parties happy, he should get permission... Sigh. ~ ~ ~

Breaths passed through Kidd’s nostrils more steadily as tensions declined. Heavy air still hung between all the parties gathered around the table, though they were considerably lightened once the Flight’s spokesperson of sorts offered physical proof.
The captain rose his head to get a better look at the documents she held out, but then… that memory will not be yours to keep unless we have an agreement. Oh, no thank you to that. The ominous nod the pegasus gave to the flippant grey mare turned his stomach. Previously perked ears twisted to lie against the crest of the buckskin’s neck, and he suddenly began to wonder what powers could be in use in this meeting unbeknownst to him. The familiar drum of his heart echoed in his head as he fought to retain his unimpressed scowl.
Kasimir’s mind whirred with questions, distracting him from the voiced thoughts of the other captains- not quite enough, however, to miss Sunil’s more than obvious projection. That only added a mild coat of annoyance to his suspicious state. It was just silly that the other would say those things out loud and make himself appear weak in resolve right in front of those he would enter contract with.
Samael’s immediate follow up to Sunil eased his irritation greatly. The paint carried himself the way a respectable captain should in a meeting like this, keeping emotional blabber out of the equation. Kidd happily regarded him as he finished with a steady glance.
The stallion’s own plus-one’s rapid reaction to the documents and maps momentarily pulled his attention away from the developing conversation. “Consider yourself pardoned- and permitted to confirm those on my behalf, Zhen. I take no interest in having my memories manipulated in this meeting, in good faith or otherwise,” he passed over his shoulder before sending a leery look across the table.

Well I'll be fucking damned, they actually delivered. Calypso took a blunt look at the documents that the pegasus had just presented the rogues. "You know it would've been easier if you'd have just shown us the papers at the start of the meeting," she huffed. "You could've just gone: 'Oh look, we have trade routes to Sirith. Here's the paperwork so you don't fucking doubt us.'" Calypso snorted with annoyance. The way that the pegasus spoke was professional, albeit possibly a little drawn out and longer than Calypso would've liked. So they did actually have the documents, good for them. If they'd gotten to this sooner, maybe there would've been less bickering earlier.
Her attention switched to the white captain, who'd expressed his opinions on group themselves. Her expression remained the same as before, not really showing that much reaction. She could see where he stood on the matter, as she had similar thoughts on the subject herself. Blocking access and cutting ties to the mainland were things that she could do after all, and one that she did on pretty much a daily basis given that she rarely left the isles. However, she didn't necessarily agree with the extreme measures that the pegasi took to establishing what, in their eyes, was 'justice'. She heard whispers from nearby, inaudible and hushed. She quickly glanced to Miles, before her eyes reset back to their previous position. Still, she had to consider the matter, going off on what Samael added on top of Sunil. Her 'trade', if you could call it that, was mostly based on pick-pocketing or scavenging to make a profit. Even if they refused the deal, the outcome would be about the same for her as one where they accepted. But, even Calypso knew that it was easier to side with your potential enemies than face the consequences afterwards, if they eventually caught up to her.
However, her gaze soon shifted and her eyes fell upon the strange half-pegasus/hippocampus. She tried to hold back a laugh as she watched the older mare rise up before nearly falling to the floor and transformed into her aquatic form. She let out a snort, accompanied by a few short chuckles of amusement. "I'd watch your temper if I were you, you may end up boiling yourself if you're not careful." She gave a snide remark to the mare, a visible smirk appearing from under her covered hood. If only she hadn't downed her drink so quickly then she would've been able to take another swig of it afterwards.
With that incident aside, she focused again on the documents. She did not fully trust these equines, but nonetheless she decided to make the choice to side with them on the deal. She turned to the unicorn, who'd gained possession of the papers. Calypso didn't care that much about whoever took them, it wasn't like she could read any of that legal gibberish anyway. She sighed. "Just someone read the bloody papers. I don't care who's reading them, the sooner this is done the sooner we can leave."

The captain's gaze followed Renata for a moment as she got up from the table, clearly frustrated with the conversation. He shook his head slightly, attempting to keep from rolling his eyes too dramatically at her minor, self righteous outburst. "I'd watch your temper if I were you, you may end up boiling yourself if you're not careful." Sam struggled to choke back a laugh as Calypso spoke up again, her blunt, impudent manner a breath of fresh air. Samael turned his attention to the dark unicorn and his captain as they spoke, the conversation ending with Kidd giving his companion permission to verify the documents on his behalf. While he hadn't seen much of the equine before, and a rogue as literate and well versed in such things as Zhen claimed to be was rare and intriguing. Sam nodded in agreement as he studied the unicorn for a moment. "Please, be my guest, mate. I have to agree with Kidd on this one. Even if I could make heads or tails of it, I'd prefer to keep my memory in tact, if possible." He chuckled, glancing warily at the Flight's representatives for a moment as he pondered the possibility that memories had already been manipulated. Though even if that was the case, there would be little he could do about it at this moment. That said, he made a mental note to seek out someone who could after, just in case. He just hoped he'd be able to remember. Word Count: 250 Post # 5

JUN Jun wasn’t surprised by Sunil’s words, nor was she happy with them. That, however, did not matter, as long as they got what they wanted. She simply nodded, calmly, before replying: “If you cannot support us, or spare the details, I’m afraid our plans are not something you will be privy to. But follow the agreement on cutting the ties, and our plans will not hurt you.”
She did, however, appreciate what Miles had to say, and waited politely for the two to be finished with their short talk. Her blessing helped her fill out what she could not actually hear, but she did her best to look nonchalant. When Samael spoke, she nodded again: “Very well.”
Then there was Renata. Jun was never one to lose her temper or to slip up from her smooth approach, but right then she did innerly groan, and there was momentarily certain sharpness in her teal gaze. They were making way here, and she would not have any of the Flock mess up the grander plans. “Renata, will you go to the counter and fetch us some new drinks?” she asked kindly, but the undertone of her voice made it clear enough she was not actually asking but telling.
Jun was indeed very pleased when Zhen offered to be the one to look over the documents, and chose to ignore Kidd’s dismay at the memory manipulation. She could understand how it might not have been a pleasant thought, but it was not up for negotiation either. While she was at it, she ignored Calypso’s crass words as well. Some sassy attitude from a rogue could not deter her from her goals.
Samael agreed to let Zhen look at the papers as well, and Jun simply added: “Please. I don’t mean to rush either, but I would rather we reach a decision before we attract too much attention." Gatherings were bound to do that, after all. It would be a shame to be interrupted before they were finished.

A R C H E R Freedom's Flight
......
The discussions pingponged between all the captains and their crew members, leaving Archer more or less to observe the body language of all present, and to see how genuine they were with their words and their promises. Irritation twitched his flank as Jun laid out all the cards at once-- then again, he supposed he was the only spy among them, which right now served to be a detriment, especially after Renata's outburst. Archer shot her a sour look-- they were both in this fight together, but the rogues were not creatures to provoke. Showing extremism to perhaps the most neutral party in all of Talori was not exactly going to win them any points with this salt-encrusted crew.
Archer's ears did go up at Kidd's remarks about the Isle risking itself for a cause. Archer evaluated the captain far more than before. Who knew these pirates had a heart after all? Perhaps not all of them were a lost cause... The rest were coming around as well, and while Archer did not appreciate Jun's blunt tactics, it seemed between the trade routes and the threats, even Sunil and Samael were starting to come on board.
This was good for the Flight, wasn't it? Yes. Allying with a bunch of criminals while they starved out Talori... Well, if Talori had been smarter about this entire thing, they would have kept the pirates closer in control. As it stands, no such thing was happening, and the Flight had, at the very least, the cooperation of the Rogue alliance signed on the dotted line.
Well, as soon as they signed. If they could sign. They were appointing Zhen to do so, the only pirate who had not taken a drink. Just as Archer contemplated how strange that was for a bunch of, well, pirates, Jun sent someone else to get more drinks. Archer stared at the ones he had brought over previously. "You know, I already did that," he muttered, more or less under his breath. Yes, just look over the spy, apparently he was too good at his job. He swallowed his bitterness down by grabbing one of the drinks he had brought with him earlier, tilting the cup to the assembled pirates.
At least Calypso seemed like someone he wouldn't mind having a drink with, once all of this was settled. He snorted at her blunt assessment of getting someone to read the papers.
"Apologies, loves," Archer spoke up for the first time since the meeting had started. "I would offer to read it aloud for all of you, but I think having a Flight Member do so destroys the point of anyone verifying it with their own eyes." He chuckled dryly at his own joke, stubbing out his cigarette and pulling out a new one, before on second thought, offering some to the equines assembled at the table. "A victory smoke, anyone?"
His ear twitched to Jun when she mentioned not rushing. Archer's gaze swept around the tavern, hearing the rain beat against the wood, but no sound of approaching hoofbeats or angry shouts. If the rest of the Flight preperations had already went off without a hitch, Antiope was soon raining hell down upon the unsuspecting Talorians anyways.
This could only prove to be good to the Flight-- to all of Talori. If the pirates saw that, then their cause had a new flame.

Biting his tongue to curb an eager smile threatening to grow on his face and simply nodding, Zhen listened to the agreements from the rogues around the table. Hm. Scared of getting their memory manipulated. While he may not... Appreciate it himself, it was simply a small, tedious task to endure for whatever plan Digend wished to set into motion. Ears twitching, Zhen's gaze lifted from the papers to Jun. "Very well." He replied, looking to the documents, and finally opening them to begin scanning them.
First there were trade agreements with establishments located in Sirith. Studying each agreement closely, he looked for any potential loop-holes that could cause distrust between the rogues and flight. He did not know how well educated the other rogues were, but if anyone changed their mind and chose to read the papers themselves... Hm. Thankfully, he could not find any issues or holes in the agreements. Clearing his throat, he carefully placed the documents on the table in front of him.
"All of the documents are valid, verified, legal trade agreements with Sirith establishments. I closely examined the agreements and terms, and I could find no loop-holes or potential frauds which would be detrimental to us." He said first, pausing for a moment. "There is no doubt in my mind that what is before me is indeed a benefit to us, not a bane. However, I have yet to look at the map, which, it seems like no other would be willing to tolerate the memory manipulation, so I will again look it over and verify it." He nodded towards Jun, extending his teke in a silent ask for the map.
Once obtaining it in his grasp, Zhen pulled it over to him. Drawing in a deep breath, reminding himself that this was for Digend, and that he and Jun seemed to be so close to gaining the wanted goal, he opened it, slowly looking it over, drawing on his extended knowledge of cartography to understand the symbols and markings. He supposed, he could not tell the rogues of the nature of the map. That it went over the barrier mountains, and then to the aforementioned establishments. He only vaguely recognized the region and shape from old, faded, dusted maps his father had brought with him from Sirith itself, his birth home. But it matched what he remembered.
Closing the map, and placing it on the table with the other documents, sliding it back over to Jun, he closed his eyes, again taking a small breath. "The map is legitimate, and accurate according to what knowledge I have of Sirith from my studies." He opened his eyes, looking at Jun. "Everything they have brought is legal, official, and has no visible detriments to us as of now. I see no problem in agreeing to their terms, but, that is up to the captains to decide." His gaze shifted to Kidd now. "You may wipe my memory, if it pleases you." ~ ~ ~

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic I don't wanna hurt you, it's not my nature.
The grey mare had been silent since her sudden outburst of rage and her face told little to nothing about her feelings at the moment. The Rouge's mocking and despicable reactions to her words were under no circumstances a surprise - but it still affected her. She would probably remember this unpleasant meeting for a long time, unfortunately. Gladly they quickly moved on to the next topic.
Renata's words told her that she wasn't alone with her opinions. Jun and Archer however seemed much more comfortable than the two medics and once again Othala wondered why she even was a part of this mission. Her ears twitched and then laid flat against her back as Renata suddenly fell, unable to control her still new form. For her it was also still strange to see her former mentor with fins, and her first impulse was to help and shield her from the Rouge's eyes. But that wouldn't make things better. It would probably causes the opposite effect. So she remained reluctantly at her place.
When June almost ordered the older mare to go away for a few minutes to get some more, and completely unnecessary, drinks for the whole group, Othala could hear Archer's silently spoken words, and with that he immediately earned some plus points from her. She didn't knew much about the pale coated stallion, but she was still glad that he was here. He radiated a strange calmness that was really soothing.
Time passed by and finally, the captains had decided who should read and verify the documents. While the dark unicorn cross-read the map and other papers, she automatically thought about the impact of this alliance. Most of the Rouge's seemed willing to accept the Flight's offer. For the small group of freedom fighters this was a huge step, a great accomplishment that would drive their cause forward immensely. However for her family and friends in Aquore were hard times imminent. Thanks to the Seroran treaty, the Flight's efforts and now the betrayal of a large amount Rouges, her little brother could possibly be starving in a few months. The thought made her sick, and it was even worse because there was nothing she could do to change it.
Zhen's words suddenly brought her back into the here and now. She raised her head and walked towards the pirate. The mare deliberately ignored his sarcastic words and called her blessing. "Don't worry it won't hurt, and I'm not looking at anything besides that certain memory.", her voice was professional now, as if she was talking to a normal patient. It didn't took long to locate the memory, for it was still fresh and it was always easier to find something if you knew exactly what you were looking for. Once she found them, she mentally grabbed them and tore them out of his memories until he would only remember reaching out for the documents and putting them aside again. Their content was gone.
Othala stepped back swiftly and gave a small nod to June. "It's done".

“Please. I don’t mean to rush either, but I would rather we reach a decision before we attract too much attention."Samael nodded in agreement, knowing full well how quickly a small party could garner the unwanted attention of wandering eyes. That said, he imagined he wasn't as worried about it as these representatives were. "Apologies, loves, I would offer to read it aloud for all of you, but I think having a Flight Member do so destroys the point of anyone verifying it with their own eyes. A victory smoke, anyone?"
Same chuckled as he accepted the offered cigarette, gripping it firmly in his teke while letting Archer light it. Taking a slow drag on it, savoring the smoke as he inhaled it, Sam leaned forward as Zhen took hold of the papers. He watched with great interest as the unicorn read through the agreements and maps, noting that everything seemed to be in order and legitimate. Sam nodded, acknowledging the stallions words as one of the pegasi spoke. "Don't worry it won't hurt, and I'm not looking at anything besides that certain memory." Her words were hardly reassuring, and Samael was relieved that he'd not been the one with the mare probing through his mind. It didn't take long for the mare to finish what she'd set out to do, and just as quickly she spoke again. "It's done".
The captain eyed her warily, but just nodded instead, turning his gaze to the apparent leader of the bunch. They'd made good on their word, and as promised, so would he. "It would seem we have an accord." He said sincerely, glancing at the other rogues at the table briefly. "I look forward to working with you." Samael added with a wink. Word Count: 294 Post # 6

S U N I L rogue alliance
......
Sunil glanced at Renata. Her outburst, possibly triggered by him not wanting to fully cooperate with the Flight, caused her to change form and fall to the floor before getting a hold on herself. He couldn’t help but snicker, especially at Calypso’s remarks. He did feel a little bad, he could feel they really needed all the help they could get. However, pleads or no, Sunil wasn’t going to support a cause that felt like terrorists and whose moral compass was messed up. He shook the thoughts away, looking to Kidd and his unicorn companion. It seemed he wasn't the only literate pirate. But something in his mind held him back and gave the dark unicorn a nod if approval instead. No point in having two verify the documents. As for the map, he certainly wasn't going to have his memory manipulated.
He watched as the unicorn stepped forward, looking at the documents and map, giving the rest a nod of approval. So it was true then. And real. The grey pegasus stepped forward to take away the memory of it. Sunil almost felt bad. At least it wasn’t fake and that gave Sunil a bit of reassurance. Samael was the first to speak up after the verification and manipulation. He nodded towards Samael, then looked to the leader of the Flight group. “Seems this meeting is coming to an end. Can’t say it was a pleasure, the circumstances are a little too.. harsh for that. But you have as much support as I can give” He gave them an expressionless look, they knew what he meant. No fighting, but he could deal with no contact to the mainland. But he only supported them, because it meant he’d survive. The mainland would have to survive somehow, just as he did.

"We've reports of suspicious activity?"
The guardians may have been stretched thin, what with many of them having been shipped to the war front and the rest helping to monitor crowds watching the Great Qotoki Migration, but it appeared that even so, they would not grant you respite. Often, there are not guardians in the Gutters despite this being the Mainland's portion of the town. It is easier for them to ignore it all together.
But perhaps there was a greater need now to monitor the goings-on within the little town; especially now that it was known for Flight recruiting. If you were merely a rogue here, regardless of any crimes you may have committed, they may have ignored you. After all, they are not here for you. But, at this moment you are not just rogues, you are rogues colluding with the Flight which is completely different and more than enough cause for arrest.
The barmaid seems to nod in your table's direction. There are only five or so Guardians, but they are heavily armed, gilded swords, bows, and shields glinting. They are weighed down by their armor though, so as long as you can find a way to outrun them, perhaps you'll be fine.
The one in the lead appears to be saying something, but who cares. Those of you in the Flight must escape lest you be arrested and put at the mercy of those killers amongst the Council. Those of you from the Isle must escape because being arrested could mean an end to any trade lines you met here to ensure the safety of. You could perhaps even be tried as one of them. 1. There is a door behind the bar that you know leads out into the main street. It's a clear shot down the street and towards the rogue portion of the town. It's also closest to the guardians.
2. There is also a door only a few feet away from you. This one leads into an alley as far as you know.
Guardians could be watching either or both doors. Choose one and run or stay and fight.

JUN Jun pretended not to hear Archer’s words, or the inner dialogue to go with it. She had her reasons, whether her comrades liked it or not. She also knew the documents to be legit, but it was still oddly nerve-wrecking to wait until Zhen declared them to be valid. The chaos of it all was tantalizing – just one chip laid out differently could change everything. It was glorious and it would have been scary, had Jun not long ago made the decision to lay down her own comfort to serve the chaos. After Zhen had looked over the documents, Jun handed the map and waited.
Once it was done, and the memory removed, she nodded to both Zhen and Othala: “Thank you.” She couldn’t blame Othala for having her doubts about her, but she also could not afford to really care. She then went ahead, and nodded at Samael with a small, polite smile: “Likewise.” Sunil’s words warranted a more solemn nod. She started gathering the documents, and suddenly stilled.
Before she could answer him, her attention was grasped by new thought currents. She might have missed them otherwise considering the crowd she was already in - emotions and thoughts shooting across the room - but these, too, carried enough emotion to be picked up. She was immediately startled – not again. Jun watched the barmaid nod, and her gaze went from Renata to the rest of the Flock, and then the rogues. They needed to get out, now. One way or another. She shoved the rest of the documents hurriedly into her saddlebag in no particular order.
“We have to get out. We have no time”, Jun said hushedly, in an urgent tone. She couldn’t expect the rogues to protect them against armored guardians, so she didn’t ask. There was, however, a certain desperation in her glance. It was the first time in a long while she felt the true cold clasps of fear around her pounding heartbeat. "Come!" she told Archer and Othala under her breath, darting first towards Renata seeking for her eye-contact, and then right to the door behind the bar. If there had been room for planning, she would have made sure everyone was on board and wouldn’t split into a different direction, but right now she couldn’t afford to wait. The guardians inside could see them and some were shouting commands, but Jun knew this route and she could also hear the thoughts of the guardians outside. Out of two bad choices she made the one she thought less bad, holding onto her knife.

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic I don't wanna hurt you, it's not my nature.
Slowly the tension in her began to fade. The meeting went relatively well, considering how bad it started. The mare still wasn't happy about this newly forged alliance and most of the Rouge's appeared like they felt the same. But most of them had agreed to support them nonetheless - simply because the other options were even worse for them.
Suddenly an authoritarian voice was raised and drowned all other conversations in the tavern. "We've reports of suspicious activity?" A small group of heavily armored guardians had entered the building and thanks to the bar-maiden, they where looking directly into their direction. Othala felt her pulse quicken as she looked from the stallions to Renata. The apothecary was standing so close to them...
June's words directed her eyes away from her mentor, and to another door. An escape route... Despite her distrust towards the teal feathered mare, she still trusted her to handle the situation. When she ordered her and Archer to move, she didn't argued or wasted any time considering other ways. June was an excellent strategist and always kept a cool head. Renata would also hopefully be able to get out through the other door. The mare swung around and opened the door quickly with her teke, before she ran outside. Everyone knew what had happend to the last Flight members that where captured by the Talorian's and she doubted that they would handle it differently this time.

Renata | Flock (Apothecary)
Renata tried not to feel petty over the fact she was being ordered around by someone half her age. She was the one who lost compositon after all. All their actions reflected upon the flight’s image right now and they couldn’t afford to have the bad advertising. Regretful she took the opportunity for what it was, a moment to compose herself and for her fellow flock members to take care of this agreement without distractions.
She couldn’t help it. She didn’t trust these rogues. With half her own family having abandoned their case for a life in Sedo, it was hard to trust, even harder when you took in account these equines’ questionable motives. They were focused on themselves rather than any rightful causes. How could they remotely relay on that? She got the impression that they would sell their own child for the right price.
She huffed, ordering a round of whatever standard drink this shady tavern had. She glanced at the rogues, still chatting away. She glared silently at the white captain’s head. It had been silly of her to hope that some of them would feel for their cause. Or perhaps at least would be decent people, just like them excluded from the mainland for unfair reasons. She could understand them wanting something. The flight was also always in need of supplies. No, but it was their attitude she couldn’t stand.
The bartender was shoving the drinks in her direction when a feeling of dread started clawing at her stomach. Her head snapped over to the table, half expecting trouble with the rogues, but instead found Jun looking at the bar, but not at her. She looked aside, noticing the guards. Dear Cascade now. How had they known? Head snapping back, she saw Jun already on her feet and seeking eye contact with her. She gave a short nod before deciding the drinks might as well serve as a distraction now. Hoping it would give Jun, Othala and Archer a bit more time she acted as if she lost balance and tossed the cups to the ground, making some patrons complain as they become collateral damage. Then she was leaping over the bar towards the other door, using her wings to glide the rest of the way. Up and out.
She hope they’d make it out okay. She hope she would.

"We've reports of suspicious activity?"
The statement caught Sam's attention as the meeting was coming to a close. "Well it looks like we're finished here. I'll see if I can't distract them." He said with a whispered laugh, winking as he stood from the table unceremoniously. Watching as the flight ambassadors headed out through the door, Sam stumbled through the crowd, playing like a drunken fool as he made his way past the guardians towards the closer door. "Evenin' officers" he slurred, half running into them as he continued on his chosen path, trying to hold their attention and block their way behind the bar. Though he likely appeared oblivious to onlookers, he kept a watchful eye on the guardians, studying their movements and preparing for a fight if necessary. Alya had blessed him with a powerful voice, and by the gods he was ready to use it. The captain was also keenly aware of the sword strapped to his side, mostly hidden beneath the folds of his cloak. Glancing briefly towards Miles to check on his position, he attempted to slip out the nearby door. (Sam exits through Door #2 into the alley) Word Count: 186 Post # 7

Miles Rogue
The meeting seemed to start coming to a close after Zhen verified the trade routes and documents. Miles waited patiently, keeping quiet and just watching. Samael seemed pleased with the outcome of the meeting, and Miles only hoped that business would start to roll once more. Just as he started to relax, something shifted in the bar. He could hear the pounding rain more clearly as the door to the establishment opened and stayed open as guardians started to enter. From the corner of his eye, Miles noticed the barmaid point in their direction, and he sighed.
Jun was the first to move, followed by Othala, with the former urging her party to leave. They were quick with their movements, trying to seem inconspicuous. Miles slowly left his seat, watching his captain play drunk as Samael headed towards the other door. While Sam kept the guardians distracted, Miles reached out with his blessing and felt for liquid sources. Inside there was enough to maybe knock one or two of the guardians off their hooves if he needed to, but once outside in the storm...Miles would be in his element. With how hard the rain was coming down, it would be easy to turn the droplets into projectiles that did more than bruise.
Coming up to Samael’s side, Miles pretended to help his “drunken” captain out. “I told you to keep yourself in check...what would your wife say?” he said, extra loud and obvious. He kept his teke on Sam’s shoulders, pretending to hold him up as they left the tavern and entered the alley just outside.

"Serves you right," she mumbled under her breath to the finned pegasus as she was sent off over to get more drinks. She took a quick glance to the wingless stallion, and to Samael who'd taken his offer of a cigarette. She didn't think much of it, but out of all of them he seemed to be the most tolerable. Meanwhile, Calypso eyed the grey pegasus closely and watched as Zhen had his memory wiped. An interesting blessing if she said so herself, imagine all the things she could get away with if she used this power to get whatever she wanted? The possibilities could be endless! You could rob someone and by the time they saw you, you could just zap their brain and run away and they wouldn't even have a clue! In her own thoughts, Calypso smiled mischievously. If only she could get her hooves on something like that.
She gave out a sigh, the outcome had been alright and something that hadn't really bothered her that much. "Good fucking riddance that's ov-"
It wasn't until the guardians appeared that her tone shifted.
"We've reports of suspicious activity?"
Oh fuck no. Her gaze shifted warily to the other rogues at the table, before glancing over to the barmaid. Who the fuck had tipped the guardians off? She muffled an audible groan, trying to keep quiet. This sure as hell wasn't going to end well if they didn't get out of there right then. If there was something that both the rogues and flight had gotten right was that the mainland still had control over the isles. She heard what'd happened to the flight last time, but what would happen to them?
These guardians were heavily armed, she wouldn't stand a chance. She surveyed the tavern, there was a door nearby. The flight were already heading towards the one behind the bar, and Samael and Miles were heading towards the one nearby. An alley door probably, once she got out she reckoned that she could probably get to the other side of town. Calypso silently pulled herself out of her chair and pulled down her hood further, hoping to get out of sight.

// Zhen \\
~ ~ ~
Despite the reassuring words, Zhen could not help but feel mildly disoriented afterwards. Something was off, a new blank in his mind, but he could not place it. Hm. Interesting. He released a small deep breath, listening to the responses now. Yes... It seemed like the mild sacrifice had been worth it. At least half of the rogues here had gathered and agreed to help...
Until new voices, clanking armor came in. Head lifting, Zhen carefully observed the guardians. Big. Bulky. Heavily armed and armored. Slow. Gaze flicking to Kidd, then to the others at the table, he watched Jun and the flight... Take flight first, he supposed. Then followed by Samael, who faked being drunk. Interesting. They were splitting. There was the door to the front street, which could give a clear shot to the Madumuerta... And then another, behind the bar, which led to an alleyway, but anything beyond that, he did not know.
There could be more guardians, it was highly likely in all possibility. Most of the captains were taking the door to the back. Eyes narrowed, Zhen contemplated for only a few more moments. The flight needed at least one captain who agreed with their accords. Sunil would not help them, though he would not be their enemy, Samael and Kidd would help and listen... It was only wise for him and Kidd to risk the main entrance. That way, if he and Kidd were caught, or Samael was caught, there would still be one captain for the Flight... Provided both entrances weren't guarded...
He felt like maybe, the main entrance was the safer one. The Guardians came through there, and were closer, perhaps they were trying to herd them to the other door... "I suppose it's time we leave, Captain." He hissed under his breath, setting a look of disgust on his face as if he had been cheated out of a deal, and stomping his way to the front door. Yet, he was still ready to take his own flight at a moment's notice. Perhaps the guardians would assume they had not had luck with the Flight... And, if they decided to draw weapons, he was quite sure that both he and Kidd were more than nimble enough. One of the rare perks of being on the smaller, and lighter, side of the weight class. ~ ~ ~ OOC: Zhen takes door #1 (main street)

DOOR ONE
THE MAIN STREET
Apprehension fills you; it always does when you are diving into the unknown. The guardians have been distracted, at least mildly, by Captain Samael's slurred performance. In addition, the bar seems to have come up in arms. It is a type of organized chaos that seems to pervade everything in the Gutters. If anything, your escape through the door behind the bar has proven... Rewarding. Outside there is little other than falling sheets of rain and the occasional boom of thunder. You can hear a ruckus behind you, someone coming through the door in pursuit? Who cares, you have a clear shot towards the part of town that the Mainland doesn't bother to regulate. You run, sticking close to the shadows underneath the buildings. Behind you, you hear shouts. But it's too late, you've reached safety and quickly disappear amongst the buildings and alleyways. ___ Well done Plot 605! Your character has chosen door one and is free from all chaos and pursuit! DOOR TWO
THE ALLEY
Perhaps the door to the main street was more threatening. After all, the guardians had been closest to it. The Captain is quick to distract them, a 'drunken' ramble enough to confuse for a moment. The rest of the bar is quick to come to your aid, an organized chaos befalling the joint. So you have slipped out of the unassuming door, hoping that perhaps it was the lesser of two evils. You were wrong. The second you have all slipped outside and into the rain, you realize your mistake. Even as the door shuts and locks behind you. To your left, there is a dead end. To your right, at the mouth of the alley, a (fairly large) contingent of guardians are springing into action. One starts to let loose their arrows even as the rest spread out to trap you. ___ Here's the deal Door Two people! If your character has a stat count of 75 or higher in Agility you are allowed to escape the alley.
If not, you may roll (out of 10) to see if you escape capture. Randomly generated numbers 1-6 will set you free, and numbers 7-10 will ensure your capture. You can ask for your roll in the discord chat.
Otherwise, well-done Plot 605! You are free to post wrap-ups (after you get your roll)! Please wait for admin confirmation to claim any chapter rewards!

THE TAVERN
THE LAST CHANCE
The Captain is quick to distract the guardians at the door, a 'drunken' ramble enough to confuse for a moment. The rest of the bar is quick to come to your aid, an organized chaos befalling the joint. And in that chaos, you did not leave immediately. Both doors were tempting, yes, but you wished to stay a bit longer. It does not take long for the Guardians to pin-point you, the barmaid must be ratting on you; telling them about who you have been meeting with today. You lock eyes with the guardians. Here are your options. ___ Here's the deal for anyone who had not posted before door prompts were released! If your character has a stat count of 75 or higher in Cunning or Speed you are allowed to slip past the guardian and escape through Door One.
If you do not have the stats to get out of Door One, you can attempt to overpower the guardian if you have a stat count of 75 or higher in Strength or a Level One Blessing.
If you have neither of the stats to get out of Door One you can attempt to go through Door Two. (See the Door Two rules in its respective post). If your character fails to do any of these actions they are captured and will be brought in for questioning!
Otherwise, well-done Plot 605! You are free to post wrap-ups (after you confirm your action in the discord chat)! Please wait for admin confirmation to claim any chapter rewards!

He had barely finished speaking, before everything went wrong faster than anything. He didn't even manage to get a clear look of what was happening. The Flock group's leader spoke to her group in a hushed voice. She seemed to be aware of the guardian's before anyone else. Perhaps, at another place and time, Sunil could have thanked her, for somewhat warning them. But he didn't manage to pick up what was said, only fleet glances at the guardians near the entrance to the bar. One of the other members of the Flock, who had been the one to change into her new form without control, was at the bar. She seemed to slip, spilling the newly acquired drinks everywhere, before slipping out of the door behind the bar. The rest of the flock seemed to go for the main door. The Captain Samael seemed to slip right past the guardians, with the help of his crew mate Miles - playing a drunk seemed to get him a long way. He eyed the unicorn and his Captain, Kidd, taking flight to the main door, following the Flight. Sunil made a quick decision to go through there as well. It seemed the guards were distracted just enough for him to be able to slip past them, with a quick run and shove. If anyone was near, he'd have no mercy getting past them - he wasn't going to get caught and questioned for a cause he didn't even want to be a part of. Not fully, at least.
Jumping over a table, the group standing there following the chaos with shouts stepped back in surprise. With his teke, Sunil pulled out his sword, prepared to defend himself. Despite the guardians being momentarily distracted, there might be more outside of the door. He didn't dare to look back as he came crashing through the door in a full sprint, but was forced to a halt as he started slipping on the wet and muddy ground. No one in sight, only Kidd and his companion, with the Flight further ahead. Getting his balance back, he put the sword back in its place and walked up to Kidd. "That was close, huh? SO what now, we follow them or we go to our ships?" He called out, looking to the fleeing group, the harbour in sight ahead of them. He didn't want to try and help them, but should they land on his or Kidd's ship, he'd follow until the coast was clear and he could return to the Isles of the Dead.

Samael Rogue Alliance l Captain
"Any damn fool can navigate the world sober. It takes a really good sailor to do it drunk."

"Evenin' officers." Samael slurred his words heavily as he bumped into the guardians, smiling absentmindedly as he did. "Everythin's fiiiiine here, there's no need to shout. Shhhhhhhhh." He chuckled softly as he spoke, using his body to block the group as the others made their way through the door behind the bar. 'Good.' He thought, glad his new business partners had made it out unscathed. Turning his attention towards the other door, he slowly stumbled towards it, laughing heartily as Miles approached him, catching on to his act. “I told you to keep yourself in check...what would your wife say?” The younger stallion said, leading him away from the guardians. "My wiiife won't even know I was gone!" He shouted, dramatically tripping over himself as the pair made their way through the door. Upon making it outside, Sam's ears flicked back against his skull as he heard someone slam the door and lock it behind them. This was a trap. Hoping the others fared better, he glanced at Miles, nodding slightly before rushing towards the fray of heavily armored guardians. Dodging an arrow, He called back to Miles, telling him to warn him before shouting into the group. Using his blessing to push a couple guardians out of the way, he managed to create an opening large enough for him to escape through. Dodging the weapons that swung towards him, Samael made his way past the guardians. Thankful for the rain still falling from the sky, making visibility more difficult and covering his tracks, Sam ran towards the docks, eager to get back to his ship and back to the Isles proper. Having secured new allies, there were plans to be made and new deals to look into, and the captain was ready to delve into it all. Word Count: 299 Post # 8

Miles Rogue
“My wiiife won’t even know I was gone!”
Samael’s act was amusing and if they weren’t trying to slip past the guardians, Miles was sure he would’ve let out a small laugh.
The two slipped out into the alleyway, Miles letting go of Sam’s shoulder as soon as they were clear. It was mere seconds after they stepped into the rain that he heard it. The door shut behind them and there was a small ‘click’. It was a trap. Now, a normal equine with no battle experience would’ve probably start to panic at this point. Miles, instead, felt calm, even as arrows started to fly towards them. Samael gave him a nod, before leaping into action. A back leg stepping back, Miles braced himself as he watched the arrows miss his captain and come towards him. He called upon the rain falling from the sky, the droplets falling faster with his help and dropping onto the arrows, knocking them to the ground at Miles’ hooves.
There was a short burst of loud noise as Samael made it through the guardians, a large gap where some once stood and Miles sprung into action himself. Gathering droplets, Miles used the water to create a barrier between himself and the remaining guardians. He pushed through the gap just as some swung swords at him. Their weapons slowed in the water, giving Miles enough time to jump ahead of his barrier and slip away unharmed. The water dropped to the ground, splashing the legs of the guardians as Miles ran off to catch up with Samael.
Once he caught sight of his captain’s form ahead, Miles finally let out the laugh he had held onto earlier. Things were starting to get interesting around here. Miles slips past the guardians with 100 in agility!

Almost soon as Calypo slipped through the door after Miles and Samael, it clicked shut behind them. "Shit, shit, shit!" She hissed under her breath, trying to fiddle with the handle with her teke. Locked. She took a step back, her ears pinned back as the guardians had come into view. She snorted briefly, taking a small moment to analyse the situation as best she could. Of course this would be a fucking trap, how could it not be? How many guardians were there, how did they know? All these questions whirred in her head, brewing up a storm. She couldn't hear anything other than the thundering rain and the sound of her own mind. She tried her best to pull a poker-face, but other features gave her away. Her back hooves dug into the ground standing frozen in place like stone. The now damp hairs on her coat rose on their ends. Eyes blinked with a dangerous uncertainty to them, like a wild animal. She couldn't think, she needed to find a way out of here.
It wasn't until one of them had started firing that she came to her senses.
The other two had managed to block most of the fire for her, but a stray arrow had managed to find its way towards Calypso. She let out an exclamation mixed in with a colourful variety of profanities as it managed to get caught on her cloak. She pulled the arrow out, leaving a tear and her head now exposed instead of hidden behind shadows. A snarl twisted on her face, any closer and it would've grazed her head - or worse. She let out a hoarse cry of frustration and charged, following the escape paths of Miles and Samael. She made an effort to follow close in their trail, but there was a sinking feeling that she wasn't fast enough. The guardians at the wings had started to swing at her with their swords as she ran and were closing in on her. Her eyes stared wildly as she tried her best to move out of the way of the blows. They were starting to surround her, and she was unarmed, and blessingless. But, as she started to find herself surrounded, her sights set on one guardian who was nearby.
Fuck it, let's dance.
She charged full force into them, who was caught off guard by her sudden action. She took this opportunity to steal their sword while they were still dazed. She held the sword firmly with her teke, gave what one could really comprehend as a war-cry and charged full force into that crowd. If she was going to get out of here, she needed to fight her way out. Her eyes flashed with fury and ran like the absolute fucking maniac she was, swinging the sword around at anyone in her way and kicking/shoving those that tried to get too close. Calypso only had one goal, to escape. She snapped at and even managed to get a few hits on the ones that got too close to her. She gave one of them a good kick in the jaw, grinning maliciously at her accomplishment. She'd missed these sorts of stakes in a fight, this thrill of a chase. Calypso could finally see an opening into the street. She gave a final burst and tossed the sword aside, sprinting away to her freedom.
Tl;dr: Calypso swears, gets shot at by guardians, steals a sword and fights her way out of the blockade.
Calypso gets past the guardians with a roll of 4!

A R C H E R Freedom's Flight
......
Archer should have known that this would not go off without a hitch. Then again, if he had been able to scout the area beforehand with just a little more time on his side, it probably would have.
But there was really no fun in that, was there?
Everyone heard the hushed conversation in an instant. Chaos did not so much as break out as unfold rapidly, like a mechanical toy meant to amuse. If only there had been a way to bribe the Barmaid, if only there had been a way to monitor this meeting--
Jun hissed at Archer to leave, but Archer hung back, trusting his instincts. There was no reason to leave with the rest of the Flight members and look positively more guilty than he already did, not to mention blow his chance at ever entering the Isles of the Dead unnoticed.
As Samael went to distract the Guardians, Archer grabbed a bottle of wine off the table, finding that the more-than-usual amount of drinks served him well in the moment. This could either go amazingly well or amazingly awful-- and while he looked at his lighter and thought how tempting a Molotov cocktail would be, now was the time to worry about himself and getting out alive.
With a deep breath, Archer dumped the wine over his head, staining his white coat a purple-red and causing him to reek of fermented grapes. He ducked through the crowd of unruly bar patrons now on their side, bypassing as the Guardians and barmaid tried to seek him out.
There had been enough distance between him and Jun and the other Flight members for him to escape now. He went for the door closest to the Guardians, stumbling on his hooves and letting his beautiful tail drag in the grimy tavern floor.
"Halt!" One of the Guardians, a hippocampus of course, stopped in front of Archer. Archer looked up at him through his sopping wet mane, feeling the wine drip onto the floor.
"S'evenin's 'ine lad," Archer slurred his words, letting his used cigarette dangle off his lip. "'Sa this fuckin' fuss about?"
"Let him go," Another Guardian said. "That one reeks of wine and isn't even white."
With his nose twisted in disgust, the hippo Guardian let Archer past, and so Archer clipped into the main street. He dropped his cigarette, crushing it under his hoof, and lit up a new one.
After this, the Flight owed him a goddamn bath and a gold star.
