{Tahla did his best to follow what was left of the conversation despite the howling wind, to little avail. The single phrase that did stand out, however, was Savvy's yelled warning. Though far from an easy feat for the large stallion, Tahla readily obeyed the order and threw himself to the ground, just barely missed by the massive creatures that swooped just above his back. His very skin crawled with the proximity of the Thunderbirds, and the moment they had passed he scrambled back to his feet along with the others. What few plans had been built were suddenly scattered with the gusting wind as they broke apart, each desperately attempting to put distance between themselves and the winged creatures that mercilessly bore down upon them. His own heart pounding rapidly, mind churning as he attempted to sort out what they were to do now, Talha instinctively began to follow as the others took off across the sand. Falling back to one of the rear positions, ensuring all their companions were keeping up and safe, Tahla barely even registered the fire until his sense were assaulted by the acrid smoke. Dread crept into his mind as the implications of such an event began to enter his thoughts, potential plans shattered at the prospect of such devastation touching their oasis. Post 4 | 219 words

"Run like hell." Kat said, responding to the mare's question.
Time to show these oversized birds who really keeps the order around here.
She bolted back into the sky, an arrow with red feathers finding it mark as she found her first target. It was a smaller thunderbird, a little farther from the group, but just close enough for the others to follow if it needed help. That one. She thought, swooping in for a quick slap. And it was a slap. Her left wing smacked the thunderbird upside the head, instigating it to act. It screeched in fury, dive bombing to follow her. This is where things get a bit tricky.
She dropped like a stone, trying to outmaneuver the lithe thunderbird. Kat was known for her strength, not her agility. She wasn't quite cut out for aerial chases and the sharp turns that it entailed.
"Roland! Get your ass over here and help me distract these thunderbirds long enough to put the storm over the fire!" She screamed. Right after she said that, the thunderbird screeched, and the scent of lightning reached her nose just before the flash followed. Oh shit!
The bolt just barely missed her on his journey to the ground, but it was bright enough to blind her for a second or two. The sound made her ears ring as well, effectively making her blind to the world. Roland, you better have impeccable timing because I'm not going to last long by myself!

Aragon | Fleet Feet | Seroran Hearing Katarina's reply to her question about the Thunder birds Aragon let out a breathy laugh. This heat and the usage of her abilities were starting to get to her. Her icy eyes slid over to the fiery mares and watched as she bolted back off into the sky, then she looked back into the fire that seemed to be making one last stand. She checked up on all of her fellow battalion members "Are we all alright?" She called out to them, her voice louder than the raging fire and oncoming beat of the storm. 'Wait.. Beat?' Aragon scrunching her nose in sudden confusion and looked up to see pegasi. Not just Roland and Katarina but another squadron with them! "oh praise Alya, they must have already been pushing those demon birds here!" She said hopefully as she watched them all fly around, pushing and pushing the storm on wards, to the fire. The little red mare could only watch as they brought the storm to her. As rain gently started to fall she closed her eyes from a moment and lifted her dished face up to the cool droplets before opening her eyes. The rain suddenly filling her with enough energy to run laps around all of the Sedo. And she got back to work, gently coaxing the storm to come closer and closer. { Post 5 | Word Count: 230 }

Roland You say I dream too big, The stallion tucked his hooves last minute before a Thunderbird tried to take a bite, swearing internally as his short tail brushed his stomach. Damn these things were feisty. He heard shouting over the wind, picking his head up to see Katarina in the distance, shouting at him to get his ass over there and help. What did it look like he was doing?? Cursing under his breath, he tucked his wings to the side and started falling, ducking himself under the flock of Thunderbirds. They seemed confused at fist that their prey had suddenly disappeared, but it didnt take them long to find the tasty stallion again. Roland's wings spread out as the wind caught him, bringing him down closer to his companion. Bright green eyes scanned the ground below them, sand kicking up and swirling with the billowing smoke. His eyes narrowed as he noticed others forming in the distance. More helpers? Possibly.
As one of the Thunderbirds aimed right for Katarina, the stallion flashed out his front leg and bopped the bird in the face. Not enough to knock it out, but enough to certainly catch its attention. The bird screeched and shot a bolt of lighting in his direction, barely missing his face, but catching a part of his forelock. The scent of burnt hair played in his nostrils, his eyes widening as he tried to remove the flash of white from his vision.
Yes, that was too close. Too close.
Dipping away before the bird had a chance to go after him again, Roland pulled himself over the flame, smoke gathering in his goggles. Now, the storm just had to follow.
I say you dream too small. WC: 276 | Post #5

Whirlwind - Seroran Fleetfoot
Thunderbirds? Whirlwind cursed under his breath and grumbled incessantly about it. Why did it have to be thunderbirds? But there was nothing to be done about it by now. They were upon them, but with it perhaps their only hope to put out this fire. He heard them before he saw them, and popped up onto his hind legs to swing himself around to face them. His body was laced with sweat already, the heat having sapped his energy. But just as quickly as it was depleted, it was returned to him by his adrenaline. By something burning deep within that was going to be much harder than even this fire to extinguish.
It was only a split of a second before he indeed realized, he had to follow. He had to run, especially after he ducked aside to narrowly avoid one of the birds that were swooping down upon the group. Tail flagged, head low, he bolted, towards the other and rapidly away from his past location. Someplace safer. Someplace that they may even have a chance against these beasts that threatened their very wellbeing. What was worse? The fire, or these birds? One solution had come but with it another problem.
Let's hope it's worth it... he thought desperately as his hooves pounded on the ground ahead, his muscles aching with the effort of catching back up with the group.

His body was tiring too quickly, and with the sound of wings just overhead growing louder, he knew the Thunderbirds were getting closer. Nero wasn't sure if it was his tired eyes playing tricks, or whether he had honestly seen pegasi shoot by. As his legs moved numbly below him, he turned his head to try and establish whether he was losing it. No, there were pegasi flying around the Thunderbirds, trying to draw their attention. Noise seemed to fade around him, the only sound was the echo of his hoof falls and the clash of thunder above. Those pegasi were drawing the Thunderbirds towards the fire.
Suddenly he could feel the heat from the fire. Nero returned his focus to what was ahead of him, and was surprised he could already feel the heat from such a distance away. But then, he could see the fire clearer now. Bright embers shot skywards, amber and blazing golden flames were dancing high. This fire was enormous, dangerously so. New panic replaced his fear of the birds. The gentle, steady drumming of his hooves continued, then stopped. Now, Nero should have realised that when you can't hear your own hoof beats, it means you aren't moving, but his shock had been delayed. His legs had locked. Due to his lean form one of his hindlegs had hit the ground wrong, meaning the other had travelled over his hock. The arches of his hocks meant his legs were stuck together. Again, when moving quickly, stopping suddenly is not ideal, especially when you now only have your two forelegs functioning correctly. SMACK He hit the dirt with a thump, skidding in the wet sands a few paces. The fall hadn't hurt him, but his legs were tangled. 'Thanks Mother...' he groaned internally. If it wasn't for his stupid long legs he wouldn't be in this mess.
His copper eyes looked skyward as he thrashed his hind legs in slight panic. "Come on, come on!" He yelled at himself anxiously. He stopped fighting and tried to steadily get back on his hooves, his legs had disconnected the instant he had hit the ground. He looked at the others around him, his group. They were already close to the fire, and he wasn't sure how much further he could run. His lungs were already burning.

I survived because the fire in me burns more intensely than the fire around me.
- Run like hell.
Xer show a small smile. Oh well, that's a good plan! She can't deny that. The black and red pegasi fly away again, but the 3 legged mare stay a bit more quiet, try to catch her breath a bit more. She close her eyes and finaly sigh, now, let's run...
- Are we all alright?
She turn her eyes to the young pink mare. And for unic reply, she show a small smile before she follow Katarina. She try to run as fast as she can to not lost the black and red pegasi. Small gouts of rain start to slowly fall on her back before the rain turn bigger and bigger, the atmosphere turn a lot more weighty and the lightning in the dark clouds show the big monster birds inside. They are numerous, they are gigantic, they are dangerous. After the fire, here come the thunder. Both are Ignacio elements, and she can't think about it was maybe a bad omen... But for now, she can't think about it she must do something to stop that fire. Katarina found a small Thunderbird a bit distant from the rest of the other birds. They are to hight for Xer can do something, she could only follow them and look at the events with some fear for Katarina and Roland, Which, fortunately, join the mare and help her.
Why don't she have wings?! For now, she can't do anything to help them, she can only watch... She looked behind her to see her group, and be sure everyone was fine, and look behind her and... She saw other horses. First she cna't say how much they are or who they are, but she know they try to brings the Thunderbird to the fire. They fun fast, and she finaly could see them and... Nero?! What is he doing here?! And he fall. When she saw this... Her legs move alone, and she run in his direction. The other are enought numerous To get by alone! And she run, as faster as her body let her run, moving away from the fire and turn closer to the other Thunderbirds but she don't care about it right now. Her purple and light blue eyes are only turned to her cousin. She turn closer to him each spet she do, and he can now say he his afraid, maybe more panicked and afraid to say the true. Even with the rain that fall, the fire is still warm here, and she still feel her skin be hirritated by the heat.
- Nero!
And she stop close to the grey stallion and looked at him. He don't really look hurt, but he was for sure tired, and this is now she noticed she have difficulties to breath too. The fire, the rain, but also her race right now. She was tired, but she don't care about herself and she try to help her cousin to get up and looked around her to be sure no danger will come.
- You can't stay here like this! You need to get up!
If she wanted to ask him what his he doing here, she know this is absolutly not the moment right now for that!
What am I doing

Crescent Fallabor
Seroran Fleetfoot
The red mare frowned, watching Roland as he tried to push the Thunderbirds their way. And one apparently decided the group looked nice for dinner.
Crescent squealed, leaping out of the way. Sand flew as her chest connected with the ground. She went skidding for a few feet, rolling onto her side, before she was back up, watching the birds come closer with bated breath. Her chest hurt, but she could manage for now. Silver turned towards the voices of others.
Other horses! She turned to look, shaking like mad, as the other group ran towards them. And she felt the distinct crackle of another bird's swoop. Her cloak lifted as she tried to leap out of the way, narrowly avoiding the bird's beak. But, she didn't come out unscathed. It did hit her slightly, sending her rolling once more, a new cut across her back. She was winded, having hit the ground harder than before. She looked to her stinging back, before she looked up again, her body protesting her movements. She wobbled to her feet like a newborn foal, huffing and buffing. Crescent looked up, gulping.
And she bolted after Whirlwind
