She followed her siblings and her sisters into the glowing cave, extremely glad that all the heated talk had subsided. Addeva sided with her fellow Valkyries of course, but at the moment all she wanted to do was explore! The plants and the gems embedded into the walls enticed her. She looked at each one with wide eyes as her hooves happily clicked on the smooth stone below. Casper sniffed at the walls, his large tail flicking back and forth as he followed behind the zonkey.
Addeva slid into formation as Lark announced it, taking her place next to the much larger stallion and watching Aly as she walked immediately in front of them. By now the light from outside was gone, and all they had to help them see was the glow coming from Alyshia's chest and the faint ebb coming from the walls.
The Valkyrie kept her eyes and ears open, alert but extremely curious as she glanced at one beautiful plant in particular, slowing down a bit to take a closer look.
Its beautiful! Look at those leaves... Oh! Right, stay in formation.
She sped up her pace to catch up to Lark, his strides much bigger than hers as she listened to the clops his hooves made versus her small rapid clicks. Her blue eyes glanced up at him then back to the road ahead of them. "Sooooo..." She realized she might be poking a sleeping bear here, but went with it anyway to try to lighten the mood, "Isn't this cave super cool? I wonder what's down here, I can't wait to tell Hira. What do you think is down here? I bet whatever it is has to do with Kaia herself, I love her decoration choices." Addeva went on talking to the patrol leader, smiling to herself while maintaining her connection with the earth around her.

Ales|War Forged|Scout
Ales kept a watchful over the group as they "debated" (more like argued) among themselves. Honestly Ales never saw the problem everyone else did with the entire "Mares vs. Stallions" thing, probably because he knew multiple times where Kathra, Addy, and Aly (as well as many other mares) could hold their own in a fight, more than some stallions he knew at least. He did know that his father didn't really agree with the new idea that the Valkyries "brought up", but he didn't disown the idea either, so it had to had some merit. After all, if the truth really was that mares couldn't do the same things as the stallions, why would Kaia and the other gods bless them all the same? Why did none of the gods treat them differently?
Finally, when it seemed that all of the yelling calmed down, and Lark barked out position orders for the tunnels, Ales lightly landed next to the Shield. "Where do you want me at? Because as much as I like keeping watch, I really want to explore this place too." The scout happily questioned, waving Jaggy off to fly around the cliff side with a flick of his tail. There was a little bounce in his step was he saw Addy walk over to Lark and bombard him with questions and conversation, as per his adoptive sister's norm.

At Lark’s call for organization, Alyshia’s steps slowed to a stop. She turned to look back at those now entering the cave after her, ears wavering back as she met Froya’s eyes. The giddiness that had first whisked her away was now subsiding, leaving behind a restored sense of reason and clarity. She had moved forward brazenly, without either Lark’s or her senior armsister’s blessing. Lark she could care less for, but Froya had risen to challenge him for all of their sakes… and Aly had chosen that moment to act like a child.
Had they been alone, she could have apologized for her rash impulses, but pride in the face of two stallions held her tongue. She instead nodded to the plan that everyone seemed to have agreed to, teke absent-mindedly folding around the star shard hanging from her neck.
“Right,” Alyshia confirmed. “However-- I lead the way, but I don’t lead the party. Let me know if I should slow down or stop at any point.” The unicorn glanced pointedly at Froya-- hoping she’d understand-- before making a humored grin at Nott’s teasing.
“So long as you slay whatever beast awaits us at the end of our fable,” she answered playfully before resuming the way forward.
The party continued to walk in relative silence, aside from low voiced small talk between the others now and then. Addeva’s comment on the Earth Mother’s ‘decoration’ made her smile softly to herself. Of course the warmhearted zonkey would try to break the ice with Lark.
But again her gaze and thoughts drifted to the gentle glow of the foliage around them, and the geodes that shone in pace. It was exciting at first, but now it also felt… eerie, to share that quality with the cave. To feel as though she was somehow of it, a missing piece on four legs returning to an unfamiliar home…
“The light is reminiscent of the Silverwood.”
Alyshia blinked, tail curling. “It…. is.”
Surely there was no coincidence to be found in these phenomenons. Just what was Kaia trying to tell them?

Interacting with: Lark
Kelby snorted at Lark's words, and then flicked her tail at his orders. Stay at the rear? Her ears pinned, and her eyes flashed with murderous intent for a split second as they pondered what it would be like to tear the overgrown, overbearing Shield to pieces. Bloody, and no doubt fun, as well. A smirk lit up their face as Lark pranced by, all high-and-mighty. She dipped into a bow, done with full sarcasm, and glared at the stallion as he passed her to take his "rightful" place at the front. He had no claim over them, over the Valkyries, because he had physical balls whereas they had balls where it actually mattered- in guts, and never-give-up attitudes.
Their words came out scathing, laced with contempt. She would follow his orders, because unless she wanted a fight on her hooves, she had to, but she would still resist the stallion in any way she could. From their low, mockingly deep bow, they smirked, "At the rear? Oh, gladly, oh wise stallion. I'll gladly protect your rump from anything wanting to take a bite out of it."
The smirk was still present as they drew their sword, letting the other Valkyries pass as they took up their place in the rear of the party, their ears flicking every which way to prevent anything from sneaking up on them. "Like me, you damn beast," Kelby muttered below their breath, certain that they were far enough away that the beast in question could not hear them. "If Hira allowed me to I'd sick a gytrash on you and take your spot as Shield, since your opinion on mares is so gods-damned backwards."
A snort escaped her, even as she took in the beauty below the Earth. She sent a prayer to the Earth Mother then. How in the world would you deal with stallions bossing you around, Great Mother? A sigh escaped her then, as she resigned herself to remaining at the back of the pack and seeing the wonders of the passage last. Gods-damned stallions.

Froya | Valkyrie Her eyes met Alysia’s and Froya briefly bowed her head in acknowledgment, grateful her shield sister was aware of her brief folly. Quiet swirled around them and closed in as the maw of the cave shrunk away behind them. The silence became deafening and was broken only by their light hoofsteps, but Froya’s mind began to fill the void with a pulse that matched the earth and Alyshia’s beating glow. Could she hear the gentle rustling of plants in their accelerated growth? She was uncertain, but it felt as though the Earth Star was reaching out to them … attempting to communicate.
Addeva’s small voice piped up, eager and excited, shattering the overwhelming stillness and reaffirming their hold on reality. Froya allowed a smile to briefly creep onto her lips, grateful to have Addeva to break the rising tensions. She was certain Lark wouldn’t have the same appreciation for the filly’s exuberance; secretly Froya reveled in watching his skin itch from the girl’s babbling.
The zonkey helped keep it at bay, but apprehension still squabbled for dominance. How long would this tunnel wind into the earth, and what would they find at its core? Perhaps a beast of Kaia rested there, a potential guardian in these troubled times … or maybe it was something more sinister. The Silverwoods were of Kaia in the same way that the tunnel and it’s flora and gems were; but it was important to remember the Silverwoods did not offer impenetrable protection and they should not this cave to be without peril as well. There was a tickle in Froya’s throat, rough and persistent, suggesting the anxiety that this may be a trap. Her eyes fell to the luminescent minerals and plants and found relief in their visage, dripping with the Earth Mother’s influence.

Out of all of them it was perhaps Alyshia who had the right of it, in her sense of returning to an unknown home. Of belonging. No surprise there, truly, when her soul still resonated so recently to the physical manifestation of Kaia. A god’s touch on the physical realm was slow to fade, and even slower when that touch was on a mortal.
So perhaps, as the malcontented group rounded a bend in the tunnels, Alyshia would have felt a flash of premonition. Indeed, perhaps all of them might have, children of Kaia that they all were.
One moment their hooves rang on intermittent polished stones, and the next…
Well.
A chasm dropped beneath their hooves, a vast, bowl-like depression within which was nestled unmistakably the remains of a city. A home, though it was not theirs. Had not been anyone’s it seemed, for quite some time.
But the remnants of that city indicated that once, it had been glorious. Towering, delicately carved columns of stone, magnificent stairways, massive statues. All crumbling, forgotten, decrepit.
As your group stood and stared, crystals began to glow along the walls, the floor, the buildings themselves, as if in greeting.
And then, out in the dark depths yet unlit, something shifted. A sound like stone on stone, the clinking of gems in a pouch, and a deep, guttural moan that shuddered the very air. It trailed away into silence.
Perhaps the ruins remained a home to something yet.

Ales|War Forged|Scout
Ales walked with the rest of the group, staying close to the back of their party. There wasn’t anything really fascinating in the tunnel itself, then again even before he received his wings, Ales had never been a big fan of small places. There’s never enough room to move. But as they continued on by the light of Aly’s glow, the tunnels seemed to open up until they reached a large chasm. “What is this place?” Ales questioned the group breathlessly, staring around the decrepit underground city. Strangely like a lot of the stories that his grandfather told about the home to Argus’ herd, Breim. The scout looked at the rest of the group and looked over the edge of the cliff, listening to the sounds. An idea hit Ales as he glanced down, after all this is one of the very things that he was trained to do. “I’m going to see if there’s an easy way down.” Ales said, opening his wings and taking off, slowly making his way down to the bottom. Their long, seemingly never-ending (but pleasant, in her opinion) path was interrupted by a deep gouge in the earth. Addy peered over the edge at the large ruins at the bottom, taking it all in as the crystals lit the crumbly city up as if it somehow felt their presence. The zonkey took a few steps back as another low moan echoed through the place. It made her skin crawl and her heart race, feeding directly into her curiosity despite being a teeny tiny itty bitty bit scared.
Her eyes drank in the beautiful ruins. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before, and man did she want to check it out. She had heard of the Breim, how they made their living underground and wondered if it was anything like this.
Addeva watched as Ales took to the air and floated gracefully down. All she had to do was glance at Froya before rearing once again and slamming her tiny hooves into the cool dirt, erupting a pathway jutting from the side of the chasm, hugging along the side. "Well, we can't gather much information from up here! Can we go now??" The Valkyrie looked between Aly and Froya and Lark, doing a small, subtle eager-dance on her hooves. Lark will probably think her ramp is somehow "unsafe". Please. She turned back to her rocky creation and stomped a front leg, extending a crude "railing" along the edges of the ramp so that nobody dramatically plummets to their death. "See look! It's perfectly safe!" She turned, ready to descend when given the word. Word count: 265 | Post #5

Lark War Forged | Shield
Though Addeva grated on his nerves relatively less than the rest of the group, he still ignored her happy chatterings and concentrated on the task at hand. It was alien to be burrowing through the earth like summer moles, after an entire lifetime of keeping his feet in the sunlight. It gave him an eerie feeling. Were the walls starting to close in? His peripherals started to warp, and he shook his head frantically to clear them.
The illuminated flora was interesting, but he moreso concerned himself with the integrity of their path. A tunnel collapse was more than possible if this place hadn't been tread in a long time- or at all. No foreign smells entered his nostrils other than deep wet rock and soil. If someone carved this tunnel, they hadn't been here in a long time.
With each step his fear of a collapse became more and more prominent. He started to sweat. The entrance could fall behind them, trapping them like livestock. He tried not to think about the tons and tons of solid earth hanging above their heads. One shift, one step too heavy, and they'd be snuffed out like candles.
And the thought of dying isolated in a hole with all these valkyries was enough of a threat to voice his concerns.
"We've gone far enough, let's not toy with Kaia's mercy. We should turn-"
He nearly bumped into Alyshia when she stopped short. Before a curse could escape his lips, his breath stopped. His eyes slowly widened.
In the tradition of being a seasoned member of Hira's guard, Lark had acquired his position partially thanks to years of experience in combat and their accompanying wisdom. He had spoken to clan leaders, slain his share of insurgents, heard all the ancient stories of their goddess. The opportunity to fight alongside Garok, and later Hira, took him all over their grand continent and opened his eyes to everything Onea had to offer. Few things surprised him anymore- and he preferred it that way.
But this had no explanation.
Crystals bloomed across the chasm in delight, as if they knew the group stood there. Lark could only stare at the crumbled city and imagine the ghosts that walked along its streets. Dramatically cast in shadows- and the illuminated stones & flora shining much brighter than should have been possible- made the landscape a jagged puzzle of depth and light and shadow. And death.
He frantically searched his memory for an inkling of recognition, perhaps a story his mother told him as a young foal about an ancient people who lived underground in their precious Onea, but found nothing. Who lived here?
He barely heard Ales announce his departure, but the wind from his takeoff tickled his whiskers. That snapped him back to the present, where he found Addeva had already conjured up a ramp alongside the chasm that curved downward. She practically vibrated with anticipation. He sighed.
"All right, listen." His voice echoed loudly, clanging off the stone walls. Someone had to maintain control before the earth swallowed them with this siren's song of an exploration.
"Addeva first, keep the path wide, we don't all have donkey feet. I'll follow. Everyone else choose an order. Keep a grip on your weapons. Stay alert. Tread quietly. Kaia have mercy." He pulled his sword out from its sheath, turning it over in his teke- it flickered blue and purple with reflection. He closed his eyes and recited a quick prayer. Descending into a completely foreign civilization- even if it was long abandoned- was foolish, but necessary. He demanded to know what Onea hid under her crust.

Froya | Valkyrie Trailing behind the leading trio, Froya had remained quiet for the rest of the trek. When they rounded the bend, Alyshia’s glow suddenly expanded, no longer inhibited by the narrow walls of the tunnel. Her light pooled outwards and downwards into the suddenly available cavity, fading into the expansive darkness. In the shadows there were distant shapes, giving the impression of buildings, spires, and roadways.
Froya stode forward to station next to Lark and as she did so the city began to alight itself, revealing its crumbling magnificence. Peering over the ledge, apprehension nipped at her mind but her eyes were calculating, the Valkyrie turned her head to look sidelong at Lark. A grating and bellowing came from beneath and Froya’s gaze shot forward once more, her ears straining and swiveling to locate the direction of the sound’s origins. The city and its stone nest were too expansive, however, and the noise echoed of the walls; disguising the source. Again she turned to Lark, with more concern, and her words came out hushed and serious.
“Your thoughts?”
Before Lark could answer, Ales leapt off the cliff in a flurry.
“Ales!” Froya hissed, taking a single step forward and gritting her teeth as she watched the young colt vanish into an ocean of black, speckled with distant twinkling lights. Frustrated, her eyes reluctantly abandoned the scout’s fading form and fell back to her captain. Listening intently (and desperately wishes he wouldn’t be so loud), she nodded and tried to quell the snaking worry in her gut. A part of her wanted to drop her armor and weapons to shift, to follow after Ales as an eagle and shepherd him back to the group. But she swiftly abandoning the idea with conscious effort and instead fell in line behind Spylark, sending an approving nod Addeva’s way. The senior Valkyrie unslung her bow from her back and lifted a single arrow from her quiver, letting it hover quietly above her undrawn bowstring. With effort, she muted the golden shimmer of her grip.
“We’re not alone here, keep your noise to a minimum.” she murmured just loud enough for all the group to hear.
Like Addeva, Froya’s thoughts drifted to the cave dwellers of Sirith as she looked upon the rock hewn city. She wished her wife was alongside them now; Clarke’s experience in Breim might have been helpful to differentiate this architecture from that of the people of Argus. Addeva’s ramp rose to meet their feet as they picked their path down the chasm’s sides, riddled with the fluorescent life. Had all of this been growing here all along, or had the flora only sprung up after the rift opened? The towers and buildings of the city reached for the roof of the cave, rising above them as they followed Addeva’s path.
Her apprehension, much to her surprise, dulled as the city drew near. Something in her bones called to this place like a home and found it welcoming even in its decrepit state. Never before had she been so deep within the Earth’s embrace, so close to her Star’s heart it seemed they were. Eagerly her eyes sifted through what was before her, hungerly consuming every tower and intricate carving. Her mind was whirring, turning over all she saw over and over again, examining and digesting. The statues spoke to her, called to her, like ancestors.
Broken, mauled by time, but unmistakable.
“These works … they depict Kaia’s children alone.”
Her heart told her to greet them like old friends, to bow her head in respect for these long gone denizens of earth, and she so desperately wanted to oblige. She wanted nothing more than to walk through the empty streets and let the vanished life of the city soak into her soul.
But Froya had not forgotten the monstrous noises that had greeted them at the city’s doorstep, and she did drop her guard.

There was no sensible way to explain it. Alyshia felt the presence of the city moments before she even saw it. She halted instinctively at the great expanse that yawned before the party. At their arrival the city seemed to sigh in welcome, the glow of the stone and flora from before illuminating the ancient ruins with a gradual, infectious radiance. It led their eyes across the crumbling majesty, from the roads to the buildings, to the worn statues that still carried themselves with a certain timeless dignity. Adorning their skulls were horns of all different shapes and sizes. Unicorns.
Alyshia was captivated by it in mind and body both. She didn’t move, didn’t think, heart swelling and fading in time with the city below. Again her memories of the starscape returned, and a wave of indescribable emotion was what stirred her, finally, from her spell.
Her mouth parted as she tried to think of something to say in the silence-- but Ales beat them all to it. Quite suddenly her thoughts were perfectly coherent as she hissed his name in the heavy air of the cavern, but her brother was already gliding down. It was hard to be angry with him-- she was excited too, unbelievably so and she wanted nothing more than to explore the little world Kaia had hidden away just for them and technically he was doing his job-- but a sister’s worry was well adept at overruling anything else.
Something moved beyond the darkness, something groaned as the earth betrayed its presence. She couldn’t help feeling as though that was their true objective; but there was no glow there, and Alyshia’s comrades would need her to provide light for them in those depths. They needed to move carefully, but briskly if they were to catch up to Ales.
Addeva had already made a ramp down, complete with its own railings, and her excited little dance warmed the older valkyrie into a big grin. So of course Lark had to cut in with his constant need for order and control.
Annoyed at the reminder that the grouchy old man existed-- but not up for another argument with him-- Aly rolled her shoulders and responded politely. “I can follow after Froya. Whatever’s down here seems to be in the darker depths of the city, and you’ll… probably need me at that point.” She winced a little saying that, now feeling somewhat self conscious.
“... That and I don’t trust the integrity of some of this architecture. My force fields can protect all of us if need be but, we’ll need to stick close. We should tread with caution, but… perhaps not with fear.” She allowed herself a small smile. “We’ve clearly been expected. We’re here for a reason.”
She stepped onto Addy’s path after Lark, but paused when she noticed Poofkin was slow to follow. The snow leopard remained sitting at the edge, taking the city in with a pensive look.
“... Hey… you can stay here if you want. Keep watch…”
Poofkin responded to that by springing to her feet with an indignant Muh-rowh! Her lashing tail and punctuating huff was both comical and reassuring to her master.
“Alright! Alright, then. Just keep up.”
The city was no less captivating up close, but it was certainly more intriguing. The work here was like nothing Alyshia had seen. Much like the others, her thoughts also drifted to Breim and their underground kingdom. For a moment she wondered if this could have been the work of the Mountain Callers, descendants of both Kaia’s children and Argus’ refugees alike, but then… she would have known about it-- read something about it in her family’s library, wouldn’t she? Wouldn’t her dad have known? She was sure he could have never kept such a thing from the family, no less the clan from the entire herd. It wasn’t the Onean way. And if it had been the Mountain Callers’ doing, then there almost certainly would have been horses alongside these unicorns.
“... Perhaps the work of an old clan,” Alyshia suggested quietly. “One with… strict policies on blood. The age before the kirin war does come to mind but... could a city from that time have even survived...? Even in a place like this?”
Noting Froya’s readied bow, Alyshia casually drew her sword.

Interacting with: Everyone
Kelby felt the group ahead of them slow to a stop, and they rose onto their hind feet trying to see ahead of the other equines. What is going on? they thought, trying desperately to move forward. Eventually, they were able to squeeze their way through and find a spot at the front of the crowd.
Their jaw opened in shock. A city lay beneath their hooves, fashioned from earth and stone. "Dear Earth Mother," they whispered, in shock and awe of what their herd's goddess had laid out for them to find. She felt Addeva move the ground, forming a path for them to go down, and looked up in time to see her add a railing. Addy's enthusiasm was infectious- soon Kelby was smiling widely, slightly prancing in place, trying unsuccessfully to keep their excitement in check.
Not wishing to cause any more strife in the group today, Kelby looked to Lark for his ok to move ahead. Kelby fell in line with Alyshia, since she liked the mare and was slightly fascinated with how she had won the Earth Mother's favor. Keeping her hoofsteps soft, Kelby looked around, unable to keep a smile from her face. Turning to the mare beside her, she whispered, "What do you think this is?"
Froya's remark then came to them, and Kelby pricked their ears forward. "Only unicorns?" they mused, tilting their head. Alyshia's response then came through, to which Kelby responded, "Then could it be from a time before the God's War, perhaps? I think I remember hearing a story about how the Great Earth Mother's herd before the war was made of only unicorns."
Noting Froya's drawn bow, the arrow pulled from her quiver, Kelby gently put forest-green teke over the pommel of her sword. She did not wish to disrespect the Earth Mother by taking out a weapon in what could be a sacred place, but neither was she wanting to be caught unprepared in case the rumbling she had heard was from a not-so-kind creature.
Kelby then turned to her shield sisters. "Do you think Kaia wished us to find this today? Do you think that this was why she opened the fissure in the earth?" Her ears flicked around, listening for every sound she could hear. She would not be caught unprepared today.

N O TT Valkyrie "Bare those teeth and snarl, baby."
......
Nott watched closely to everyone's reaction at Larks command. Only a few of her sisters-in-arm gave back snappy replies and didn't really want anymore conflict among everyone. There's no use arguing when they are in need of working together to figure out what is going on in this creepy, giant, glowing cave.
"So long as you slay whatever beast awaits us at the end of our fable."
The grullo smirked at Alyshia's comment, feeling confident that they both can get past by their previous mission they spent together last time. She raised her sword towards her fellow Valkyrie and gave a slight bow. Pulling her focus on the group that went on ahead, she ventured close to Froya, until Lark gave everyone their position orders. She went towards the middle of the troop, her long sword at ready and Tao quickly by her side. The moment Kelby gave back a reply at having to take up the rear, Nott's eyes widen in shock. Ah, feisty you are dear Valkyrie but be careful, she thought to herself.
Silence soon fell in the group, making it feel quite uncomfortable. She took a quick glance back and taking mental note of how small the opening of the cave has gotten. They really were venturing inside this monstrous place, with Alyshia's light and the plants glow being their source of seeing objects. The plants glowing reminded her of the Silverwoods, the place where... Nott quickly shook that memory out of her head. Let the past die, what already happened happened and there is nothing I can do about it, she scolded herself inwardly. She focused her attention to listening to Addeva babble, something she was grateful for. Just hearing the zonkey's voice put the young mare at ease.
But Nott didn't let herself get too comfortable, still having her senses on edge. Whatever the Holy Earth Mother had in store down here, it could always somehow end up being a trap. The moment they kept walking, a loud sound erupted from in front of them. Tao hissed at the sudden surprise and Nott ready her sword until her eyes laid upon what was down below. A whole city. So many stairways, detailed craving in a place that the Valkyrie was not familiar with. Her eyes scanned along the walls and the entire city, taking note that the crystals down here were glowing bright at the presence of her group.
Nott was about to open her mouth to comment but the unsettling sound of what sounded like hooves scraping on stone. Her skin started to crawl as if she was infested with ants dancing along her body. Tao hissed again, growling at the sound too.
"It's alright Tao, calm down." Nott said in a soothing tone, a tone that she rarely used. She was proud that her familiar caught the eerie sound as well and mentally praised him further.
"Well, we can't gather much information from up here! Can we go now??"
Nott wanted to chuckle at Addeva's eagerness to keep on exploring except she awaited for orders from Lark. Satisfied with Lark's command, she stuck close behind him, hoping he would mind her treading so close to him. The Valkyrie unsheathed her sword and solely focused on descending down below. Everyone seemed to be wondering the same thing; was this meant to be discovered? Who lived here before? How exactly old is it?
So many questions swarmed her head.
"If anything, the only way we're going to answer what buzzes our minds is to investigate down below. Down there, in this ancient city will hold the answers... hopefully."

Sochi stared down at the forgotten city. He listened to the murmurs around him, but he had been stunned into silence. What was a city like this doing in the deep earth? Judging by the statues -- huge unicorns, he wondered if maybe this was a special group that had lived here. Maybe the first children of Kaia had lived here, within the womb of the ground? Or maybe it was something different, a special sect of only unicorns? He had no doubt it had once been something important by the sheer size and construct of the place, but what had it been?
The loud noise sent Sochi's mind straight to a fight. He grabbed the handle of his war hammer with his bright blue teke. If there was something done there, his hopes was that it was not aggressive.
His hide quivered again with the nerves of a potential battle, and he watched as Ales took off. He wanted to scold the scout for being so quick, so risky, but he could not chase after him.
Gradually, he moved with the others, watching his footing as he made his way down. The others had also prepared for whatever might lay at the bottom, swords and other weapons at the ready. He just hoped they would not have to use them.
Whatever the case, this was going to be an interesting adventure.

Ales|War Forged|Scout
Ales landed on the ground near where Addy (or the scout assumed it was Addy) had placed the ending of the earth trail that lead down the cliff. The scout watched as the rest of the group managedto make it down the slope without issue, giving all of them a brief proud look.
"Don't know why you thought I wouldn't jump down." He said jokingly to the group. "I'm a scout, and I'm able to fly. It's exactly what I'm trained to do. Jump into to more dangerous situations to scout the path ahead and warn everyone of coming dangers." Ales stuck out his chest, his joking tone seeping into his body language and uncontrollably out though his blessing, as Jaggy landed on the scout's back, a bored expression on his face. Ales glanced around the area they had discovered more closely, keeping close eye on the statues of the unicorns, and feeling strange about the whole situation. The fact that the rest of the group decided to draw their weapons didn't help matters any as he decided to draw his scarcely used sword as well.
