Krein wouldn’t have said that the past few months were easy, since the lifting of the curse of the Wilds, and the call of King Soleil and all. Krein had spent the past month and a half traveling the Wilds in its new state, trying to get a new sense for everything that had happened. During his journey of self discovery, Krein had come across a few old buried documents from times long past. Once he had returned to Inaria, he spent some time reading over them and realized one seemed to be a map of the Temple of Time, near where the refugees had first discovered his existence and had lived for the first few months of his new life.
Returning to the family wasn’t something he had originally planned to happen so soon. Though to be fair, when he left, he wasn’t even sure if it would even come back or if he would follow the call back to his kind. Back to a war he had no memory of until now. In the end, the past few months had seemed to effect him more frequently than he had originally imagined. The return home had been an emotional one for all involved, filled with a lot of hugs and crying. Not that Krein will admit to anything.
Originally Krein was just going to just check out the Temple on his own, but not too far away from their home, Dawson had told him that he was heading in the same direction. Just some sense the freaking fish horse had, again. Which gave Krein half a mind to turn around and just go back to bed. These senses had been a bane the last time he decided to follow them.

By now, Dawson had learned to trust his instincts. They were paramount in what had happened in the past, and though he couldn't tell if it was purely his instincts or his Goddess calling to him once more, the feeling was undeniable.
The past few nights, Dawson had woken up to cold sweats, and a feeling that he was needed somewhere. The dreams were fractured by the time he woke up though, so he couldn't figure out where exactly it was he was needed. But if he'd learned anything by this point, the river must follow its' path diligently, patiently, before reaching the ocean. So too, would he follow his path until his destination was revealed. Each morning he would go about his daily rituals, helping his family around the house, doing his job, meeting up with friends. But a little voice persisted in the back of his head, truly it was nearly a silent one, but one he couldn't not ignore. The voice kept telling him that something was going to happen, and it would be soon.
The reunion between Krein and Dawson's family had been emotional, Dawson had feared when the kirin left, that it would be the last time he saw his grumpy friend. The hippocampus remembered the day he left with a pang, but it wouldn't do to dwell in the past, after all, everything turned out alright in the end.
As such, when Dawson woke this morning, with an undeniable knowledge of where he was supposed to go, he didn't even think twice before packing his saddlebags with the essentials, Naiya chattering happily as she rode on his back. He did however, find himself surprised when he found Krein on his path, realizing they were on the same path. Dawson told Krein of his mission, and he swore he saw something flash in the kirins' eyes, though he didn't say anything.
They walked in companionable silence until they reached their destination: The Temple of Time. Staring at the Temple, Dawson flicked his eyes over to Krein and realized they were both back where they first met. It seemed like a lifetime ago that he'd met the kirin, when in reality, it'd been naught a year since Krein popped into his life.

JALA "Oh, oh, oh, where did the time go?" It feels funny, but every time he looks at these trees, he swears he's seen them before. It isn't the first time Jala felt this way: behind that wild and tossled mane, and those dopey eyes that so often stared dreamily at the sky, a deep, inner conflict stirred somewhere within that always seemed to trouble him a little. His and Poranthes' farm sat just north of Inaria, on a stretch of land not uphill from the distant edge of the Wilds. His housemate and employer would point out to him, time and time again: "You keep starin' and spacin' out at the woods! Quit daydreaming, boy, and get working!"
Yes, every time he found himself on the edge of their hillside, carving into the soil with tack and a plow fastened to his back, he found himself staring at that stretch of jungle far off in the distance. Each and every time, as though it tugged at his heart. His being.
Not that Jala payed much attention to it. Since he had taken up agriculture to aid Poranthes, the young stallion had not made much an effort to recall his past, nor made it his priority to do so. He was pleased just going about his day and doing his job. But today was a little different. He had been just about to hook himself up to the plow and till soil in the early summer heat, when Poranthes shoved his way into the tool shack with a proposition:
"Hey tenderfoot, they're askin' if I want em' to help with some ol' knicknack they found in the jungle. They're lookin for some willin' folks to take a look, but I'm much too busy for that sort of thing." In reality, Poranthes was afraid of the Wilds, "Why don't you take the day off and help in my stead? You seem keen about that place, anyhow! Bahaha!"
And so, here Jala was, grouped together with a bunch of eager horses, and still, feeling pretty weird about his surroundings. He broke the silence with a little chuckle, and an enthusiastic comment to boot: "Ya know, the more I look at this place, the more I swear I've seen it before! These trees look familiar!" And then, he snorts. "But then again, they're palm trees, and we got palm trees everywhere, ha-hah."

Meredith Talori - The shoal [gatherer]
......
Meredith had awoken early to the sounds of some tropical birds sitting on her window. It was going to be a special day, atleast for her though. She was going to explore the Wilds! Since that the curse has been lifted of the tropical forest, Meredith has been eager to explore this jungle and to uncover all his secrets. But she has been busy for the months as her orders had doubled due to the increase of need for more medical herbs. Her eyes shimmered with happiness as she picked up her saddlebags and a few mangos which would serve as rations in worst case scenerario.
With a happy trot, she walked out the door to the Wilds. She knew it a little as she had already traveled to it. It was just a few months ago that she felt a calling of Cascade to the Temple of Time. The journey was rough then as she and the group she traveled with were attacked by a hydra then. But then they discovered the Shrine of Songs, which lifted the curse. Thinking back to that still makes her happy and proud, even though she still had the fright of her life with the Hydra.
She traveled through the Wilds as she stumbled back onto the Temple of Time. Her heart made a little jump. The grey mule eagerly galloped to the temple as the urge to go explore it had overtaken her. I mean, she had already been in the temple before, so what's stopping her to explore it?

Nefertiti Cleric | Talori
"We have built cathedrals out of spite and splintered bones, of course they aren't pretty, nothing holy ever is--" The thing was, Nefertiti... Well, she wasn't quite sure of what kind of help she would be out here. In the Wilds. In the once dangerous Wilds -- the place no one was supposed to go at one point. There was some form of doubt scratching at the back of her mind, screaming that she was here for one thing and one thing alone; medical aid. That had to be it, right? It's difficult to fight those thoughts back at first; a sense of doubt crawling forward each time she shakes herself from it.... But there had to be a reason for it. Things just haven't been going their way -- her way.
And if that wasn't the case. If she wasn't running of a streak of bad luck... Maybe the gods had some sick game of dragging her into situations she just didn't quite fit in. That had to be it! First, Sedo. (Well, she fit in okay-ish there, but... She's not going to admit that.) And now this. Eyes of blue dart up towards the sky -- how funny. Absolutely hilarious.
This had to be one hell of a punchline.... And frankly, she didn't find it funny.

AliTalori | The Shoal | Florist
Ali squinted up at the sunny sky, enjoying the tickling sensation of the light mist in the air.
“I wonder if there’s a rainbow somewhere. What do you think, Big Mama?” Ali asked her gentle, towering familiar, an Aquorian Elephant. Not that Ali could understand her large companion. She had yet to begin the art of learning familiar whisper. The tan pachyderm let out a short trumpet in response.
“Yeah we probably can’t see it from here,” Ali surmised, guessing at the meaning of Big Mama’s communication. “Maybe Aunt Phoebe can back home. You can’t really see too far out here with all the trees.”
Early this morning, Ali awoke with the sudden urge to visit the Temple of Time and check on the flower gardens she used to tend there while she was a refugee. It had been a huge undertaking as the gardens were quite extensive and completely taken over with other plant life. But the part she had made a decent dent around the main entrance area during her stay there was now in full, colorful bloom with all manner of flora
After enjoying her handy work, Ali and Big Mama had starting some weeding around the entrance. Ali would pull out the weeds. Big Mama would eat them. A very efficient system. And all the while Ali chatted away to the pachyderm with cheerful demeanor, eyes smiling, telling her of all her adventures here in the Wilds.
“One time Dawson and I came across a snake as big around as your leg out here, I kid you not! And---“
She was interrupted by a gentle tap of Big Mama’s trunk on her shoulder, who then gestured to the main trail that lead up to the entrance where two horses were now walking her way. She instantly recognized them, eyes opening wide in joyful excitement.
“Krein! Dawson! Cascade bless you all! What are you two doing here?!” ---------------------------------------------------------------

Odette // The Shoal
Odette had to admit its was mostly just curiosity that brought her out into the wilds now, wanting to see what had become of the lands that had been fearsome and dangerous not long ago. She hadn't left home much since the incident in Kiephis, staying with Eden and Haven while settling into her new role in society was.. nice. Relaxing for sure, and she love them both dearly --more than anything in the world-- but it was... boring. She was by no means wishing for more violence or chaos, she had seen enough of that for several lifetimes; she just needed to get out. To see the world and walk among the common folk of Aquore again; something she had not had the chance to do since she was a foolish filly.
With a flick of her amber-tinted teke, she finished braiding her multi-toned hair up into an elegant but practical up-do. She smiled over her shoulder at the tiny crocodile sunning herself on her back, "Are you ready, Scarlett?" she asked her familiar who responded with a slow swish of her white tail. Odette nodded in response and stepped forward into the brush. Her intended destination was the Temple of Time, a place she had heard much about, but had never been to herself. She longed to know more about this once hidden piece of history. It seemed, though, that she was not the only one to have the same idea. As she approached the temple she caught sight of several figures already gathered.
"Oh, good morning!" she greeted, ducking her head in embarrassment as Scarlett scrambled up her neck to hiss at the strangers, "Scarlett, hush! There's no danger here." She scolded. The tiny croc stopped hissing, to then instead settling into a dignified pout atop Odette's head.

JALA "Oh, oh, oh, where did the time go?" "Good morning!" He greets with a dip of the head as a group of mares emerge from the jungle brush to greet them at the temple entrance. Beneath that messy mop, his golden eyes shine brightly while they gaze onto the architecture of the ancient structure, never suspecting that he had set hoof here before. Yes -- deep, hidden memories of friends and loved ones emerging from the bush, tired and weary, their pelts burned and nicked by debris. This had once been a place of refuge for he and his siblings, and his best friend, when the Flight had initially attacked.
Aye, yet his memories of that fateful day had been lost in the murk of his mind, stuck somewhere deep and unable to surface out of the fog. It failed to flicker over his eyes, even as he stared up at the facade, etched with ancient carvings of the Wave Mother. "So, boss says that you guys found somethin' around here?" He glances up at Krein and Dawson from the bottom of the steps. As he speaks, and itch nags his withers, and his shoulder twitches irritably for it.
As Ali reaches the staircase in the company of a loyal pachyderm, Jala leans over against a nearby palm to scratch the itch on his shoulder -- as it turns out, a tick had crawled its way onto his pelt. "That'sa lovely elephant you got there, miss --" He comments while rubbing up against the palm tree's trunk. "Is this everybody? Or are we still waiting for a few oth -- oh, now that's not very polite of you, is it?" He noted the little crocodile's hissing.
If one thing still stuck with him, it was his odd penchant with animals. Oddly enough, he found that understanding and speaking their tongue just sort of clicked with him. Whether this was something he had in the past or developed after his memory loss is unknown to him. "Hah...she's got quite the vocabulary, haha." Post #2 Word Count: 329

S O A N A Talori ......
Soana didn't always play well with others, but she always seemed to be paired up with them. They could be... useful... sometimes, even she had to admit that.
It was growing later in the morning, the sun rising high above. As always, rain from the seas was pooling in clouds that seemed to sweep through the sky with no order. Even as she pushed another large frond out of her way to step through the brush, she could hear the gentle tinkle of drizzle coming down, only to fall flat against the higher trees.
It was no matter to her. The golden mare had expected to get dirty, being sent into the wilds like this. A little water coating her main to the bridge of her nose was nothing. Her dark eyes traversed the landscape, hooves quietly cutting through a bed of twigs and vines to carry her over the fronds.
Ahead of her, deeper in the wilds, several others were gathering around. Their chipper voices carried across the brush and detritus, making her ears flap harshly against her head. Too early for dealing with others, she thought. Too many others as well, no reason treasure should be shared between the crowd when she was here to claim it for herself.
With an annoyed chuff, she stepped forward. Her own stubbornness could only hold her back so long, so she let her legs carry her across another plume of brush, then onto a small path where the others were gathering, chirping their annoying greetings back and forth.
To those, she only gave them a glower, ear twitching, tail thwapping against her flank. When one approached, she drew her maw back and gave a look that commanded no greeting her way.
"Do not speak to me before mid-day," she grumbled. "It's far too early to deal with any of you."

Krein|The Shoal|Talori
Krein sighed as more and more horses showed up to the temple's outside gardens. He had hoped for a quiet time of exploration of the area, but of course it wasn't. That wave mot... Cascade, didn't want to make anything easy on the kirin, it seemed. Though he didn't think he would be exploring one of these temples alone, at least Dawson would be with him. There are plenty of horses here that will probably follow him in, as exploration is one of the things that Krein has always noted gets everyone excited. To be completely honest, he probably shouldn't have been talking about with any writtenly acclaimed philosopher in the library that week trying to get more information.
Krein nodded towards Ali as she approached them. "Not much, I discovered a few papers the other week while traveling in the newly uncursed Wilds. One them seems to be a map of the Temple of Time, or at least some areas that I had never seen before. I was going to check them out, if you, or any of the others wanted to come along." He said, before starting to walk into the temple, not even seeing how many followed him into the Temple's halls.

Meredith Talori - The shoal
......
The mare smiled as she looked at the temple. There were a lot of new thiings to discover, so what's waiting? The temple wasn't going to run away of course, but what fun was there to push away the adventures to the next day?
Of course, she was just at the side of the temple so she had to find the enterance first. With a quick look around, she suddenly saw a bunch of equines standing around. She even recognized a few of them! With a quick gallop, she got to the group. With a slide as she slipped over some mud, she joined the group. "Hi!" she said excited. She glanced around the group, almost recognizing almost all of them. "Ali! Dawson! Krein!" She had met these equines before and was super excited to see them again.
She did not recognized the others though. But being with others that she does know took away her shyness. Some looked more kind than others , but she did not mind.
"Would you guys mind if i join in?" She exclaimed excited as she followed Krein. She was originally planning to go alone, but going with a group seems more fun. Defintely if something would happen, like a hydra showing up again.

Dawson | Shoal
Dawson was delightfully surprised by the amount of equines they found either at the Temple already, or arriving shortly after them.
"Ali! Krein found a map, and I just... I knew I was needed here for some reason. So here we are!" The stallion grinned at his friend, Naiya squeaking her welcome to the mare from his back as he spoke.
Saying his hellos' to everyone else, Dawson trotted into the Temple side by side with Krein. If they were all lead here for the same reason, surely they would see something spectacular. As Krein led them deeper into the Temple though, Dawson's ears began twitching as he swore he heard the faint echo's of voices, none of which came from any of his companions. Looking around, he tried to gauge whether or not anyone else heard the voices as well, and by the looks in many of their faces, Dawson knew he wasn't alone. Sure enough, soon the sound of conversation filled Dawson's ears and somehow it sounded familiar. How very odd.
He couldn't place why they were familiar or even what sparked his memory to them, but he couldn't shake the feeling.

The Temple was at first largely made up of ruin. Many of you were familiar with this sector of the building. Many of you had taken refuge in it. However, as you traverse deeper into the halls, the ruin becomes lesser and a timeless quality settles over you. By no means are these halls free of wear and tear, but they are not the piles of rubble you saw at the beginning of your journey. Every now and then you pass doorways, picture frames, crumbling statues of figures you don’t recognize. Krein, the philosopher, uses his map to the best of his ability, but it lacks basic notes that would tell him how to read it.
He directs you down a hallway, and as you turn as a motley crew, you nearly collide with two newcomers.

zyana
NPC
Zyana threw her head up, skittering back, her hooves clacking painfully loud against the marble flooring. At the very same time, a strong pull of her teke dragged her daughter back with her, saving them both from colliding with the strangers head-on. A kirin? The mother took another fearful step backwards, willing her daughter silently to do the same, however, beside the kirin was another. A hippocampus. It had Zyana relaxing only minutely. Looking around at the rest of the group, she was quick to notice that they were all horses like herself and her daughter. And yet… she didn’t recognize any of them?
She cleared her throat, “They have seen us met,” she said softly, the cultural greeting sliding off her tongue unnoticeably. She swished her tail lightly over her daughter’s haunches, a warning the young thing was unlikely to heed. Zyana drew her head up and narrowed her eyes at the newcomers. “My name is Zyana, but how come I do not know you?” She questioned, peering at the common horses in the group. “What are you doing here? Are you looking for something?”

JALA "Oh, oh, oh, where did the time go?" "Sounds as though someone still needs their morning tea!" Jala comments with a teasing air toward Soana's grumpy attitude. Naively optimistic, the young stallion proceeded forwards up the stairs, his long, gnarled tail swishing side to side. Heavy hoofsteps sound against the aged marble with each great step. "Onwards, team! Let's investigate!" Inside are hallways and rooms he might have once recognized. Great, thick vines snaked their way through cracks and weaknesses in the stone facade. If he centered his hearing, he might have noticed bird songs echoing from high up in the temple rooftops. Perhaps some of them have built their nests around here?
"Gosh, this place is huge..." He speaks with a softer voice this time, but even then, it still manages to carry an echo down the hallways. With a huff, Jala manages to shove aside some of the thick forelock obscuring his eyes to get a better look at the ceiling up above him. At last, Jala turns his attention to the kirin ahead of him, a horse who, surprisingly, did not disturb him in the slightest. Perhaps he owed that to his obvious amnesia. "So, my scaly friend. Does the map say anything about where this thing is?"
But before he would get an answer, there came a discordant sound of clattering hooves as they rounded the corner into another hallway. Much to Jala's surprise, a mare and foal had appeared, and they nearly collided with the odd little search party. Jala lifted a hoof in alert, shoulders bristling with anticipation. Then he stamped it back down as he eased. "Aw, hello!" The stallion would greet, dipping his head before giving it a quick sway so that a golden eye might peer through the thick locks between his ears. "We don't mean you any harm, miss! We're just lookin' for something. Our friend here's got a map!" Post #3 Word Count: 312

tozi NPC "Oh!"
Tozi squeaked protest at the sudden yank of her mother's teke, tiny hooves sliding for purchase across smooth marble. In the moments prior, she had made it a game of skipping over the veins in the flooring.
Now, game forgotten and her surprise eased, she peered curiously at this motley group. Unlike her worry-wart mother, the child had no reason for caution; in her three seconds of evaluation, she concluded that these foreign faces looked friendly enough. The striped one even said hello, making off handed mention of a map.
Brushing off her mother’s heedful touch, Tozi approached the map-bearer - a funny looking horse, embedded with glittering stones - and craned her neck.
“Oh - oh! Is that a treasure map? Can I see?”

Odette // The Shoal
Odette followed carefully after the rest of the group, unsure if she was exactly welcome to come on this endeavor but not particularly caring if she was either. She figured following along with others who have been here before would at the least be the safest way to go about things, and so trailed in the back of the group, taking her time in examining the temple. It was really something to behold, more beautiful the farther they walked, even Scarlett settling down to just enjoy the scenery. Odette jumped at the sudden appearance of another equine, instantly taking up a defensive stance. She had far too many 'random' run ins with 'strangers' to not instantly assume the worst in these situations. Sensing her owner's tense stance, Scarlett too took up a defensive posture, tiny jaws opening to show off needle-sharp teeth.
At the sight of the child, however, Odette relaxed, realizing a mother would not willingly drag a child into a plot of violence. At least not any mother worth a damn, she thought, but both the mare and foal seemed harmless after a moment's inspection. Odette quietly slipped her way to stand near the front of their group, smiling softly at the foal, "Perhaps it is a treasure map, would you know anything about that?" she asked the child, feeling more in her element with speaking to a young one than any of the adults.

Nefertiti Cleric | Talori
"We have built cathedrals out of spite and splintered bones, of course they aren't pretty, nothing holy ever is--" The Cleric, for now, bides her time with watching the others; taking note of everyone who has arrived -- just to be on the safe side of things. (A Kirin. Two Hippocampi. And three Commons, if she wasn't including herself in the mix.) Though, she might not need it, it did comfort her to be aware who was all apart of this; easing the maternal part inside of her... After all, they were under her care if anything were to happen.
Cocking an eyebrow up at Soana's words, Nefertiti doesn't press anything... Doesn't say anything that might make the mare even more cranky. (But Nefertiti does find herself softly snorting at Jala's comment. At least someone was in a good mood.) Following after the others, Nefertitit can't help but stare in awe at the Temple before her; it was absolutely lovely, at least in her eyes it was.
She had mentally prepared herself for some things... But what she had expected was to run into others.
The gold tie in her hair clinks together as she whips her hear around, trying to keep her shock down to a minimal level, hoping not to throw the newcomers off.
The greeting doesn't slip past her.
"Hello, Zyana," she calls, dipping her head slightly in greeting, her eyes drifting over to the child. Great, two more to keep a close eye on.
Hearing a few of the others speak, Nefertiti almost wants to stop them from giving too much away to people they don't know. Long ears swivel back against her neck, eye her companions with a cautious gaze. Sure, she might do her best to be welcoming, but there was no part of her that wanted to let the others get involved.
Especially a child.
For now, Nefertiti stays a few feet back, eyes shifting over to watch the newcomers.

AliTalori | The Shoal | Florist “A map! Are we going exploring? I love exploring! And look at all the horses here. Oh this is going to be so much fun! Maybe we will see some neat visions again, like you did Dawson! I wasn’t there that time to see them.”A familiar voice called their names, and Ali turned to see her beloved, long eared friend. “Meredith! Sweet sunshine friend of my life! Yes, please join us!”Ali’s elephant familiar seemed a little uneasy at the presence of the baby croc familiar with one of the equines, flaring out her ears in it’s direction. Not surprising, as the scar on the pachyderm’s trunk was from an encounter with a croc. “Big Mama, I think you better say out here. Who knows where this map goes and things could get small quick in there. Okay? I promise to be careful. Love ya!” And she trotted off after everyone through the entrance. As they followed Krein into the Temple, Ali made a point of introducing herself to the equines she didn’t know. Although, the young, shaggy, striped stallion who had said some lovely things about Big Mama and was currently towards the front of the group did look a bit familiar. First Ali greeted the flaxen, chestnut paint mare who introduced herself as Nefertiti. Ali complimented Nefertiti on how lovely her hair was done, and shared that her name was fun to say. “Nefertiti. Nefer-TI-TI! I just loves how it rolls off the tongue.”The grumpy palomino mare Ali admittedly glanced over, purely to avoid possible confrontation. “Hi, I’m Ali. But you seem a bit cranky and told us not to talk to you so I won’t. But I just wanted to tell you, errr, you smell nice.”Next she said hello to the mare with the colorful hair and the small albino croc, who was trailing towards the back of the group. Ali did recognize her as a former concubine of Emperor Hawkeye. Ali delivered flowers to palace often, many of which decorated the concubine’s chambers. But the two of them had never been formally introduced. Ali apologized if Big Mama’s earlier behavior had made her uneasy, explaining the nature of the elephant’s apprehension around crocodiles. She then inquired to where Odette got her hair done, as Ali had also been thinking about adding some color to her own hair lately. “Does the color fade really quickly? How often do you have to go back to the salon to get it touched up? Do you get different colors done every time you go? I’m sorry, that’s a lot questions. I talk a lot, if you couldn’t tell. Hahaha.”Just then, something visibly startled Odette and Ali looked around as to what triggered this reaction. A mother and child stood before their group. Strange that there were so many horses drawn to this place today. “My name is Zyana,” the mother said. “But how come I do not know you?”Ali thought the mare’s words were odd. “Because we’re strangers, that’s why! Here. My name is Ali. I’m a florist in Inaria. Flower crowns are my specialty. I like to take muds baths, drink Jungle Juice smoothies, and meeting new equines from all walks of life.” She said that last bit, smiling in Krein’s direction. “There! Now we’re not strangers anymore!”

Meredith Talori - The Shoal
......
Her blue eyes looked around the halls of the old temple. She has been here befor, but it still amazes her to this day. Maybe she should visit the Shrine of Songs again someday. But not now. Now was a new adventure waiting for the grey mare. With a happy joyfull trot she walked next to Ali. She was kinda of relieved to see her best friend here. The last time that she met up with a group, they ended up getting attacked by a hydra. She softly hoped that this time there wouldn't be a hydra. The mare still tended to get some nightmares of the encounter.
She looked over at the rest of the group. She did not recognize most of them, but they seemed a happy bunch. Expect two, they seemed to have sticks up their butt. Meredith cared little for their grumpyness. Not much could bring down this mare's happiness.
As the group stopped to observe the two strangers. Meredith jumped up and walked cheerfully at them. "Hi! My name's Meredith." she said with a big smile as she looked over at the two. The mother seemed to be worried and a bit untrusty, while her child was a bright little sunshine. She looked at her friend as she seemed to tell her whole life story. "Ali! You're rambeling again." She laughed ''We don't need to tell them our whole life story!"
The mare then turned her head to the foal before turning her head to the rest of the group. "Shall we find the treasure? If so, i think we need to get going."

tozi NPC The child met this sudden overlap of echoed greetings and friendly faces with a boundless brand of enthusiasm. After the lengthy trip she and her mother had embarked upon, it'd been awfully boring within these marble walls with no new company.
"Flowers?" She piped up at Ali's long-winded introduction. Tozi loved flowers, but even more did she enjoy treasure, as the red woman and mule mare had mentioned. A tendril of impudent teke grasped at the edge of the antlered stallion's map; not waiting for further permission (for she hardly believed she needed any), Tozi pitched herself upwards to catch a glance of the elegant layout.
Abruptly, she began to laugh. A giggle that poured off her tongue.
"That - that's upside down! How're you expecting to follow it, silly?"
The teke returned, thrusting the map down. Eyes wide as moon scanned the yellowed surface.
"If we wanna find the treasure, we gotta go this way. Here, follow me!"

zyana
NPC
Zyana flicks her ears as she's greeted, but she finds little reason to further acquaint herself with these individuals. That is, until Tozi snatches the map and begins to take off down the hall. Just as quickly as the child begins to lead the group, Zyana snaps to action, her body run tense with nerves and apprehension.
"Tozi, sweetheart," Her voice, though strict, warbles just slightly with anxiety, "That's the wrong way, don't you know," The way she speaks has a distinctly Breimian accent. The way she calls to her daughter suggests that she has something to hide, or at least ample reason to distrust the newcomers. She shies away from the kirin completely, avoiding them as if they were the plague, and she points her head to a passageway leading to the left, away from the right-turning path that Tozi had begun to lead the group towards.
"Left to the Library, don't you remember?" She chastises. CHOOSE TO FOLLOW TOZI TO THE RIGHT

CHOOSE TO FOLLOW ZYANA TO THE LEFT

S O A N A Talori
......
For the most part, Soana could lump the adventurers all up into one group. There were too many horses, no matter what type of horse, that clustered together the moment she strode into the clearing. Their voices were high pitches of excitement, lilting along as they joked and laughed. One even crossed by her, making a snide comment about tea.
Soana didn't particularly care, they were all much too loud, much too early in the morning. They were also energetic, bursting at the seams to get into the whole adventure aspect.
In front of her, Soana could see the ruins she'd come for. They just stretched out over the treetops that she could see, old stone swallowed by vines and foliage. Flowers were blooming around shadowed holes in the stone, each one a possible entrance or den for some nasty creature or another. It was all quite beautiful, and Soana found herself idly memorizing the intricate stone designs as she joined the group, finding it much more interesting than the small-talk going along.
Stonework was something she hadn't had the chance to study in the past. But this... this made her want to try her hoof at it.
By the time she looked back, tearing her eyes away from the mossy stone to where the tour group was lumbering along, she was the last one still outside. The rest had chosen an entrance and began to clop their way inside.
Soanna trotted forward to follow alongside one at the back of the group. It was a mare, one with a pretty golden tie in her hair, that seemed to be the most mature of the group. This one she could stand being beside.
Without so much as a word shared, she stood alongside the other and followed the group after the new child and mare that had joined the group.

JALA "Oh, oh, oh, where did the time go?" "Heh-heh-heh. I'm Jala!" That much, he knew. He would not resist ending the line of introductions now, especially in the presence of a young filly. Jala was good with children, a piece of his old self that he didn't realize shone through with some of his old self. But then again, with the bright and optimistic outlook, it is hard for him not to find discomfort around anyone. With a swish of his sweeping tail, Jala maintains that dopey smile of his, dreamy eyes hidden behind that forelock. One might think he was absentmindedly zoning out. Quite the contrary!
"Aw, I'm sure you've got lots of flowers to work with here," True to his nature, Jala decides to humor Ali and more importantly, the little filly whose interests seemed to perk at the mention of the map and the flowers. His fuzzy, elongated ears toward Zyana, completely oblivious to her outlandish accent. A wiser him might have inwardly cringed, but he seems hardly even fazed. "So, do you guys live here?" The quagga inquired, noting both of their words. "Ol' boss said no one could even set hoof in the Wilds till' recently. You must be new residents! Pretty quiet here, huh!"
Oddly enough, the young horse doesn't seem swayed to move in a particular direction. Rather, he moves with the rest of the group, not unwilling to heed the mare's correction, but eager to humor the child as well.

Nefertiti Cleric | Talori
"We have built cathedrals out of spite and splintered bones, of course they aren't pretty, nothing holy ever is--" The mother and daughter were a rather odd pair; the accent the mother carried the oddest part of it all... But Nefertiti couldn't just them at the moment; there was no telling what had brought them here... To hide out in the recently tamed Wilds.
Hiding. Nefertiti wonders, for just a brief moment, if that's what this pair was doing out here. But, she could worry about that another time... It was not her place to ask.
Nefertiti watches, her eyebrows knitted down together in thought. Something just wasn't sitting right with her, she just couldn't shake the feeling... But then again nothing ever felt right when approached by people she didn't know.
The Cleric snorts; that's how people get hurt. Going along with people they didn't know... But, the small group didn't seem to have much of a choice in the moment. Well, they did...
Follow the mother or follow the child.
Keen eyes notice the way the mother seemed to step away from the Kirin. A younger, more naive, Nefertiti might have done the same, but something in her heart burns at the small show of distrust.
Nefertiti made her decision; turning to the right, the Cleric chooses to follow Tozi.
What harm could following a child do? Certainly someone so young would have no business in lying to them? She couldn't steer them down the wrong path on purpose, would she?
Feeling the presence of someone at her side, Nefertiti eyes the mare next to her up and down with a gentle gaze; seems she had not been the only one to trust the child.
How many more would follow their move?

Dawson | Shoal
The two newcomers were a surprise to Dawson, even if he had heard them coming. He blinked slowly at the mother daughter pair that nearly collided with the group, and immediately his heart melted for the little filly, reminding him of his sister. He did have a soft spot for kids after all. Rolling back on his hooves, Dawson listened to the group converse with the pair. Perhaps they were why they were all here. He would have to wait to let the events unfold themselves.
Normally, he'd indulge in the playful antics of kids, after all he was barely out of his kid years himself and was used to playing games with his sister, but the filly had zeroed in on Krein's map and seemed to know where to go, fully in exploration mode. Her mother seemed dismayed that the filly was leading them in one direction, suggesting that perhaps the filly was wrong. Her voice was tense, for reasons unknown, but Dawson decided he'd humor the filly. After all, if she was wrong, they could just backtrack and go down the mother's path, and it would be a fun time for the filly to be in charge of the group.
Stepping up beside Tozi, he lowered his head, Naiya slipping from his back to hers as she chattered and squeaked in hello to the kid.
"Well, I'll follow you Tozi, lead the way!" his eyes shone playfully as he encouraged the filly.

Krein|The Shoal|Talori Krein almost jumped in surprise as the two new horses appeared out of nowhere, and of course one of them had to be a child. That always seemed to be the kirin’s greatest weakness when it came to these nonkirins, more than likely due to his and his wife’s old desires to one day become parents from before.... it all happened. It seemed to be the only thing that kept him from flat out refusing assistance when he was first reborn, the idea of children themselves. As Krein stood, lost in his thoughts, the child had snatched the map and had .... corrected his positioning to say the least, though how this child knew how to read the map, or where this child and it’s mother, who was being extremely rude in Krein’s mind but what else was new for these fish horses, even was in this section of the temple, was beyond the kirin. Krein decided that kind should be returned with kind as he nodded towards Tozi. “Well let’s see this treasure, if you wouldn’t mind. I am quite curious to see what lies in this place.” Post #3 Word Count 200

tozi NPC Emboldened by the support of her newfound 'team' (and their smattering of familiar companions), as well as too emblazoned to heed Zyana’s quiver of a warning, Tozi took a sharp turn.
“Right is right!” She had cheekily explained to her mother.
With the congregation at her heels and the map fluttering in a precarious grip, the child ventured far down the meandering hallway. Hooves tapped in tandem across cold marble floor. Past walls, bare and cracked but for the occasional remnants of a sculpture or an etched-in mural she hardly stopped to admire. There were frames of doors that were no longer there, plied promises of secrets within these solemn walls.
All the while, her eyes followed the map. Her brisk gait betrayed no hesitance, not until they stopped abruptly at the foot of a winding staircase.

zyana
NPC
The mother watched with growing concern as her child grew more emboldened to lead the way. She shot an affronted look in the direction of the small filly, and hurried along behind her, shooting a venomous glance at anyone who strayed too close to her child.
They turned the corner, and Zyana felt her heart drop. She wanted desperately to turn the group around again. She didn't know the magnitude of the room which lay at the bottom of the stairs, but she did know she herself had been ushered away from it many times before. She's confused why there isn't anyone heading them off now... after all, this is a group of strangers with a kirin at the forefront. Surely, they are less trustworthy than refugees from Breim.
And yet, no one comes out to block their way. Zyana steps in front of the staircase.
