golgotha YOU DONT BELIEVE IN GOD, I DONT BELIEVE IN LUCK
The flight began like most others, the Furies jostling and roughhousing before taking wing at breakneck speeds, trailed by raucous laughter. Golgotha knew the other branches of Serora's military treated the Fury irreverence with some chagrin, but Golgotha didn't think it was bad to have some fun in the air somtimes. It's not like the Furies didn't understand what they were up against. They knew their work was dangerous -- hell, more often than not, that was why they did it -- but it was essential, too. Serora's only advantage against their better-equipped, better-trained invaders was the sky. Sure, Aodh had pegasi of their own, but they didn't know the painted infinity of Sedo's skyscape like the Furies. The Furies could feel every change in the desert winds almost before it happened. No one could catch them up here.
Well, except maybe the thunderbirds. Golgotha cocked her head to look back at their massive companions out of nervous habit every time she felt one of their wingbeats suck the air out from under her. Historically, feeling the draft scooped in a thurnderbird's wing meant you were way too close to serious pain. Having the terrors of the sky on her side probably should have been empowering, but even the smell of their proximity made her instinctively nervous. Looking down at one, she caught its sharp, intelligent gaze, and dove with a frown to fly out of its range.
Just in time, too. The target furia were faint streaks across the sand below, tailing some terrified Serorans with their equine Aodhian handlers galloping behind. She gave a wordless whoop to her comrades, tucking her wings to dive for the attack. Furia were still mysterious to them, creatures of unknown power. Golgotha had never even heard of one before facing them briefly in battle, but they'd proven to be tough customers.
She flew in low, snapping her wings loudly, her head dropped to spout long plumes of flame below her to try and get the hellhounds' attention.
It definitely worked. With a hollow cry, one of the dogs made of flame began striding in her direction, trailing steam and embers. She set her jaw, arcing off to one side to lead the earthbound creature on a merry chase. With a victorious call, she reached her teke around to her harness, freeing her boomerang with the intent of using it to ring the little doggy's bell. When she looked back, expecting to see the furia leaping across the ground, she felt her stomach drop.
It wasn't running. It was flying. And it was fast.
It shrieked, its body suddenly roiling steam, tearing after her with unholy speed. Golgotha shouted a curse (she wasn't sure what) and changed her path to fly straight up, her huge wings gaining as much altitude as possible. It was the only way to outrun it. She had to get out of its reach -
But she didn't. Golgotha didn't look down at her attacker when she felt the impossible heat collide with her side. It corroded her body like an acid, tearing through flank and flesh, eating into the webbing of her batlike wing. Her vision went dark instantly when the blast of pain became too great. Her bulk's momentum carried her upward for a moment after she went limp, but it didn't take her long to fall.
The furia tore through the wing skin like a serpent then spiraled away, a dart of hissing steam, and left Golgotha in free fall. The pegasus plummeted far faster than she'd climbed, and struck the sand with an earth-shaking sound, her mass tearing a trench in the earth like a meteor strike. post 1 well that was fun, thanks for having me everybody djkfsd

Serora | Fury
......
Flying with the thunderbirds was certainly an experience. While Ruani understood some of the Furies unease at the situation, Ruani happily threw himself into trying to set up a communication with the creatures. Someone with shared wings seemed like a good equine to keep things flying smoothly between the two. As the furies approached their mission, Ruani was happily riding the thermals, dipping and diving around the thunderbirds some avoided. They shot him looks, but Ruani just tipped his wings at them in solute.
And then Gogo went down, and went down hard. They had hardly even approached the flame-dogs and their handlers. It all happened so fast. “Shit,” it was barely a breath from Ruani as Gogo went down. How could this happen. How could they lose one of their strongest this fast? That hellhound flew and took her out in an instant. “Come on, guys. We gotta go!” He cast an imploring look at the closest thunderbird before turning back to the remaining furies. Then, he dove.
Ruani tucked his wings and angled down like a falcon. He didn’t have weapons or a blessing that would let him get close enough to the dogs and one look at Golgotha told Ruani he did not want to get close. So he aimed for the handlers, casting a wide berth around the dogs. He hit the handler on the far left, driving his hooves into the Aodhian’s shoulder with a satisfying crack. He didn’t look as the handler tumbled out of full gallop. Instead, Ruani leveled out the stoop to avoid the ground and arched off to try and avoid the furia’s wrath. Yet as he climbed, he felt a heat on his hind grow and that could only mean one, very bad thing.

(minor tw: mention of vomit)
Nah man they are chill. So chill they could freeze Ignacio’s flames. So chill they definitely didn’t feel breakfast creeping up their esophagus, prepping to spew chunks over the furia.. It’d certainly be a unique choice in attack they note to themself.. Certainly might leave an impression on these invaders. Monserrat turns their gaze to the thunderbirds but swiftly turns their eyes forward when they feel their body slowly careening towards their gaze. Focus FOCUUUUUSSSSS, They shriek internally, each movement a calculated movement. They got this. Yes. They got this.
“Fly fast! Fly strong! And fly safe!” Monserrat calls, “And may Alya’s winds guide us!” They sure hope their goddess is watching, because lord knows they need the guidance. When they see the.. The things their stomach churns and breakfast begins crawling up again. Monserrat whips out their stick. Out of their corner of their eye they spot Golgotha, one minute she’s cruising and the next she’s crashing. A cry of shock peals from their lips but they don’t have time to dwell. It’s time to thrash some bitches.
“LET’S TRASH EM!” They scream and then they dive down. Yeah they’ve got this.. They’ve got this.. Monserrat charges towards the handlers stick gripped in their teke. “GET OFF MY LAWN DIRTBAGS!” They take their stick and prep to wail down a rage so hot it’d make Ignacio tremble.

Syel | Fury Post 1 | WC 271
It was the first time she’d been sent out on a real mission with her mentor. It was the first time she’d gotten so close to the Thunderbirds, her fluffy wings feeling so tiny against the mighty sails that beat alongside them. It was the first time she was out flying over the Seroran wilds not for lessons or practice or idle traveling, but for battle. And mingled in with the young Fury’s apprehension was true excitement at the realization that the time to prove herself to her peers and to defend the Wind Mother’s lands had come at last.
The excitement was choked, just barely, by the sight of the strange skull-demons that seemingly appeared out of nowhere to challenge them.
Apprehension gave way to stomach-twisting dismay when Golgotha fell, plummeting so fast that they could hear her meet the ground even from way up here.
Fear clambered over dismay as the hellhound turned its eyes onto her, and her comrades.
And fear, as it faced her homeland’s invaders for the first time, shrank in the shadow of righteous anger.
Ruani was the first to dive, while Monserrat gave just the battlecry Syel had wanted to hear.
“LET’S TRASH ‘EM!”
The Marwari gasped, teeth bared, eyes flaring, as she charged for another of the handlers, narrowly dodging one of the demons on the way down. Her hooves met with the invader’s sword, and the force of her impact managed to shove it out of their telekinetic grasp. She socked them in the face as they bit her in the foreleg. She spat onto their eyes in retaliation.
Your ash on the wind!!!

Rowin loved the wind in his face, in his own territory. Talori was an... interesting land, but there was something about being home, with the warm sedo sun warming your back and the faint smells of the sea that made the flight all the more better. Rowins icy blue eyes snapped open as he was jostled. A deep belly laugh burst fourth from his lips as he rough housed with his fellow furies. He didn't feel nervous, even with those large thunder birds flying net to them. He was there when the pact was formed, and knew they were good for their word. Sooner than he thought they were above the action. Monserrat's shout rose above the sound of beating wings and screams.
Golgotha dropped from the sky like a nuclear bomb Rowin whooped a war cry and went after them. Seeing one of those damn beasts fun at him Rowin slammed to the earth, skidding to a halt, and whipped around in time to catch the hound jumping at him by the neck, letting his venom sink into the beasts body he violently shook it before throwing it to the ground, rasing his sword above his head he brought the blade down, severing its head from its neck. Pulling his sword free rowin looked back to the handler for this one. The horse was quaking where it stood but hadn't decided to run yet. "What an idiot." Rowin mumbled but stopped in his tracks hearing a earth rummbling slam. One of his brethren had fallen.

SHEVA | SERORA | FURY
See patience is a virtue,
and I'm all out of time right now.
Sheva had to struggle not to snap her wings shut at the visual nightmare unfolding in front of her; the smell was abhorrent, but the fall was worse. Despite the wind that whipped between her ears and the guttural cry that came from the blackened jaws of the Furia, she could not block out the sickening thud that accompanied Golgotha as she hit the ground.
The sight was enough to make her almost lose heart.
Almost.
She looked towards her comrades, her friends, then to the Thunderbirds they had secured a fragile alliance with. Gritting her teeth, she contemplated what few options remained to them at the revelation those things could fucking fly. Most of the furies seemed to have unanimously agreed to go after the Furia handlers instead, meeting them head-on with their usual bravado, but Sheva hesitated; would the dogs turn tail simply at the sight of the masters' demise?
Somehow, she wasn't convinced.
Dipping towards one of the birds that accompanied their downward flight, she locked eyes with them and jerked her head towards the pack of Furia.
"Try aiming for their heads, let's take the bastards down!"
Sheva's voice remained level, eerily calm despite the rising dread threatening to interfere and smother what little composure she had left.
They couldn't afford to lose, they just couldn't.

It was going to take some time getting used to the thunderbirds flying alongside him. Sure, the group had tested out a few small missions with the massive creatures, but this was the first time Predwin had been out with them for more than an hour or so.
He wasn't used to it, and on some very base level, it was hard to say that everything was right when the furies were working with their supposed mortal enemy. It made thoughts of the future... of after the war, difficult to decipher. Would the thunderbirds go back to being enemies with the Serora?
It was something Predwin didn't really want to bother with. He had never been the philosophical type, and even now the effort it took to even consider the implications of what was to come was taking it's toll on his flight. He refocused himself, checking for his sister and Syel. That was, until he watched Golgotha take a nose dive into the sand, the dragon pegasus' wing and side burning from the creatures below.
Predwin flinched, taking note in how the medics were quick to help get things on the road for the now fallen fury.
By Alya's winds, what are these creatures of fire? Of course Ignacio would create something so disgustingly dangerous.
Prid snarled the words to himself before tucking his wings in, leaning into the winds to dive down towards the creatures, hoping to get a better view of them. Sure, the other furies were probably going to focus in on the handlers, but this dumb stallion wanted a closer look.
Would air put them out? Could he use his wings to try and snuff them like a candle? He wasn't sure.
"Give them hell." Was all he yelled out before preparing himself for an attack. Post 1 | Word Count: 303

The large wing beats of the thunderbirds sent rushes of current under his own wings. The beasts of air where more then his mind could really comprehend! They where so massive, so large and yet they flew beside them without question. Hooves cut through the air, driving him forward. Rumors of their own being tormented did not sit well with Tito. After the shakey start to the Talori happenings, Tito was really looking forward to defend his own. Making it up to them!
As the band ventured further over the land, the large brown mass of Golgotha came into view. They where as magnificent as ever and their form seemed to take up the whole sky. That was until some sort of fire launched from the ground and scored up her side and ignited her wing. The flesh seemed to melt away and as the large form hit the ground, Tito was frozen in the air. The largest and one of the bravest of them... Gone without so much as a breath. The others around him took up the fight, screaming and hollering before launching forward. Yet he remained, wings beating heavily. Eyes scanned back and forth, Thierry's teachings bombarding him.
Cut off retreat...
While the others went for the throats, Tito decided he would take up the flanks and come at them from behind. With a small breath of his own the young equine veered far to the side and circled around the handlers, feeling the air rush through him. "Wind Mother, give me strength!"

{ } Monserrat watches the aodhian eat gosh dang dirt and it tastes SWEEEEEET. That still doesn’t put an end to the invaders or their threat. She gives a solid thrust of wings and gives herself a more lift. She then turns her head and spots one of their allies, the hulking thunderbird dealing with one of those damned dogs. Monse pins her ears back against her skull and turns towards the large bird, flapping her wings and attempting to gain speed. “I’m going in to help Caw!” She calls, unsure if anyone in particular will hear but.. Oh well. She starts cruising towards the right, spotting the thunderbird that looks caught up with one of the flying balls of fire. I got this, yes i totally have this, she desperately tries to reassure herself.. It’s perfectly normal to run to the rescue of someone who’s probably eaten one or two people you know.. Yep, perfectly normal indeed. Monserrat focuses her eyes on her goal as she tries to draw closer to the dueling pair. . “YOOHOOO FIDO,” she yells as she begins her descent, slowly pulling out her stick and grips it with her teke. “YOOOHOOO WOO HOO FRIEND!” She continues her shrieking and whistling towards the furia and tries to get closer and closerl. “AYEEEE AYEEEEE,” she shrieks one last time before gritting her teeth. “Alya guide me,” she whispers and uses her blessing to close the distance. She can feel herself zooooooom by until she’s up close and personal with the dog. “Hey there fido!” She chirps and then aims a very sharp kick to the creatures skull with her front hoof, waiting for a sweet crack and to watch that bitch fall. ----------------------------------- Notes; Distracts the furia by being obnoxious Uses h yper speed blessing for 2 actions Punches the furia in the face as the attack

As the sand shifts beneath his feet, the young fury looks upon the battle field. His friends, his family, they where all fighting these strange equines. Equines with backup. His head tossed and a foot stamped. It was clear the aodhian's where really out to murder them, murder them all! Tito would not have that. With a own roar of his own, the pegasus reared up and took off once more. The sky was his field. Not the ground, these other equines could not do what he could! He would show them just as well that he was as good if not better then them!
The brightly colored Pegasus caught his attention, Monserrat, seeing them come face to face with one of the devil fire dogs. Veering to the side, Tito decided it was a good a time as any to enter the battle. The forcefield glimmered between the pegasus and the Furia, catching the light and only when it dropped did Tito drop. Wings tucked in close and the Fury careened straight to the ground, front legs out as he attempted to stomp the head of the dog into the sand and into oblivion.

SHEVA | SERORA | FURY
See patience is a virtue,
and I'm all out of time right now.
Summoning her courage as she watched one of the Furia freeze and fragment to ashes with a well-placed kick to the skull from Tito, Sheva followed suit shortly after; bowing her great head and plummeting to the ground, acutely aware that her window of opportunity was limited with the pack of spectral canines breath hot on all their tails.
She hit the ground hard, charging towards Mercutio with ears pinned flat to her neck and nostrils flared. Eyeing the battlefield and seeing that the veteran thunderbird was no longer encumbered she called out, directing him to follow. "Caw, with me!"
Dropping a leathery appendage as she ran, Sheva let it drag briefly along the desert's warm surface, utilising it similar to a sling and collecting granules of sand.
Just as she reached Mercutio, Caw screamed and dived towards the hippocampus. Seizing her chance, Sheva then diverted his attention with a hastily thought up insult,
"Hey! Fish fillet!"
and flipped the metaphorical bird at the exasperating Aodhian, flinging her wing up and spraying him with sand.

YES!!!
These first few moments of battle had been—at best—downright frustrating. Syel and her friends may have had the edge of surprise in the beginning, but as soon as they’d felled the first few lackies, their remaining comrades rallied together with newfound strength. The shield-maker’s force, especially, was one to be reckoned with. The bastard had already used his blessing to protect one of the hellhounds, marking him as an almost unanimous target for the furies. Thankfully, his reign of inconvenience was quickly cut short by none other than Ruani. And from there, the battle quickly turned. With a thunderbird freed and the Aodhians left defenseless, there was no time to waste. One of her comrades shouted an order, and Syel, nodding once and hoping they saw it, swallowed as she tapped Caw’s wingtip with hers. Big Birdguy, please understand. I will need you!Her eyes locked on the red-flamed beast snarling far beneath them, and she took a deep breath. Folded her wings. And dove. The young fury refused to think of what would happen if this failed, if she miscalculated for even an inch and she landed hooves-first into the searing heat that had sent Golgotha plummeting from the sky. All that mattered was the cursed hound’s gleaming obsidian skull.
-Syel uses 25 Vitality to take down Red! -Syel requests Caw’s assistance in the attack!

As the hippocampus took the hit, tito felt something inside him shift. A belief he had been lacking all this time. That he could do something, that he wasn't just a teenager going through the training motion. He was a Fury! With a small intake of breath, the Pegasus leapt off the land once more and allowed another fury to take his place. He knew without a doubt that the next attacker would bring the aodhian down and so the young brightly colored pegasus was onto the next.
The gleaming glowing embers of the red dog that had chased Golgotha down caught his eyes. Syel was doing a hell of a job showing the fire beast its place but Tito knew he could also help. Wing beats pumped hard, his head tossing as the pegasus landed hard in the sand flanking the beast. Back hooves rose, aiming for it's skull and as his momentum connected with the energy Syel was directing a satisfying CRACK could be felt and heard beneath their hooves. Red fire was swept away by their wing beats and Tito took a moment to try to get his breathing back. A nod was given to the Thunderbird, watching it turn away to survey the battle around them.
Tito was strong, but he was feeling depleted already.

The jokes and jests of their initial take off seemed worlds away now.
It started with the furia blasting Gogo right out of the sky. Sure Creo had dropped into her usual state of concentration as they came upon the group of invaders but then one of those damned demon dogs FLEW into the fury's heaviest hitter, sending her crashing down into the sands.
The next minutes were a blurr as she watched her companions take out several of the enemy, herself waiting poised to strike. She saw her chance with one of the common horse handlers. Turning to the veteran thunderbird, she let out a shrill whistle, summoning Caw to her side.
Tucking in her black and white wings, she dove down, snapping them open at the last second to stedy her fall as she slammed into the ground next to him. Quick as a flash she noticed the sword strapped to his side, using her teke to tear it from his grasp she took to the air again, but not before she felt a stab of pain in her back leg. Out of spite, she flung the sheathed sword away as hard as she could with her teke once she was in the air. Watching it smack into the sands away from the fighting. She turned to see Caw covering her escape before taking to the skies again himself.

His breathing was heavy, his body shaking. the raging of the battle around him was drowned out by the thick pumping of his own heart beat. For a brief moment, time stood still. The sand around them bursting into the sky from frantic movements slowed to a crawl. He surveyed his friends, his family as they fought for their lives, for others lives. Birds of prey, ones that usually killed the serorian's where now working side by side with them. This was their home!!
The world snapped back into focus like a slap to the face and Tito's legs launched himself from the ground, wings flapping hard. Eyes took in Creo from a short distance, distracting and disarming one of the other serorians. With a small snort he dived into the scene and spun around in the sand, using the microscopic peddles to shield himself and lunge for the sword on the others shoulder. Teeth where used to grab the hilt, wrenching it from sheath. The massive bird at their side flanked the equine, making sure his pathway for moving was completely blocked.

As Predwin came close to the hot flames of the fire dogs, he couldn’t help but take notice how hot and dangerous the damn creatures were. Sure, he has seen Gogo hit the dust, but that still didn’t mean he had felt the raw power up close. He blinked a few times, relatively relived to see that the battle was going well. He would have admitted that originally, the plan to attack the things head on was probably one of his sillier ideas, but that would've required him admitting being dumb. Predwin wasn't exactly the kind of guy to do that. He seized up for a moment, he had planned on attacking, but as far as he was concerned, there were more important things for him to be doing.
There were so many of them!! What was he going to do?
That was when he noticed the familiar draft of a large thunderbird flying overhead, the feeling of pain overtaking him before he realized that they were on his side.
By Alya’s Winds, it was still something he was not used to, but then he had an idea. Glancing up in an attempt to see which of the giant creatures it was, the fury squinted. Was this one Coo? Or was it Shriek? No! Talon! That was his name!
“TALON!” He called, flaring his wings out while trying his best to yell over the wind. “Help us by doing what you do best! Let’s take these guys down!”
Without waiting another moment, the stallion flared his wings, pushing the air from under him to thrust himself up away from the ground as quickly as possible, hoping to see the battlefield better.
He was by no means a tactician, but it was clear as day that as soon as the Aodians had lost the hippocampus with the force fields, the battle had become a complete masacre. A light smile appeared on his face. He couldn’t help but feel pride in what the group had managed to do. “We got this! To battle!!”
And he dove in. Post 2 | ~350 TL;DR: Predwin summons Talon! +4 Posts!

Syel | Fury Post 3 | WC 298
Hah!!! The red demon was vanquished! With the help of Tito and Claw, his skull had shattered, and the flaming body dissipated. Now that they knew how to kill one, defeating the others didn’t seem so impossible anymore.
Quickly signing a ‘thank you’ to the both of them—but not pausing to see if they’d caught it—Syel took off with a sprint, intending to launch herself back into the air before a sharp pain caused the young fury to stumble. She hissed through her teeth, glancing down at the offending discomfort, and was disgruntled to discover that she hadn’t escaped the fight with Red unscathed. The hair on her foreleg was singed, and the burns on her skin roiled angrily. … No matter. She was a fury. This couldn’t stop her.
Biting the inside of her lip, the Marwari pushed through the pain and threw herself into a gallop once again, this time successfully taking flight. Her fellow furies still needed her, as did the Folk they were fighting to defend.
One hound in particular—the disgustingly bright green one—was in pursuit of an elderly Seroran whose sides were heaving with fatigue. Syel was incapable of calling out to it, had no blessings or items to throw and get its attention… so close combat again, it was, then! That was okay. She could do this. She could do this!
Flying low to keep in stride with the two, Syel hovered just above the hound and spat on its face. As soon as it turned its empty sockets onto her she climbed back up into the air. This was okay, this was good, she had his attention nowwww AAAND SHE COULD FEEL HIS STEAMING BREATH ON HER RUMP but THIS WAS OKAY—
—THIS WAS OKAY—
SHE HAD THIS.
Okay but just because she had this didn't mean she didn't need help, so the pegasus gestured wildly at Talon as she flew past. Perhaps the thunderbird could lend some assistance of his own!
The massive rush of wind that beat through her mane indicated that he'd (thankfully) gotten the message.
-Syel suffered a -15 Vitality Penalty in the attack on Red. -Syel uses 25 Cunning to distract Green, who is now hot on her tail! -Syel asks Talon to help distract Green (35 Cunning)

From the distance they see the other take down a furia and they call out to the group loudly. “Good going! Let’s take care of the rest!” They call out loudly and then start to circle over the other fire dogs. “Hey! Talon, let’s go!” Monserrat yells to the thunderbird and soon the pair start to chase after another one of those blasted fire dogs. The fury gives out a wild shriek as they seek to circle behind the dog, lowering themself downwards and whipping out their fighting stick. “DIP SHIIIIT OVER HERE!” They screem and then use their trusty fightin’ stick to whip up an impressive wave of sand towards the furia. “Fight me you worthless mongrel!” They scream and then try to gain a bit of elevation. They then start to fly forward and continue to scream to offer a distraction, hoping to give one of their comrades an opening at some point. ----------------------------------- Notes;

Rowin's sword slammed down with a great force into Atticus's neck, severing his head from his body instantly. Mere moments after Rowin landed hard, like a boulder being dropped. He stood over they Mules broken body, the blood of his enemy had splattered and was found on Rowins hooves, chest, and muzzle. His eyes lingered on the body that twitched for a moment before going still. "Good riddance" He snarled and Ripped his sword out from the ground. The blade, Snake-Fang, was coated in the handlers crimson red blood. His icy blue eyes snapped up to the others. So much chaos, comrades dipping and soaring in the sky, and those alya damn fire dogs everywhere. His eyes now locked onto one of the yellow furia. This beast seemed to sense Rowin too as he locked what Rowin assumed would be counted as eyes on him as well. He let out a high pitched whistle to attract one of his comrades attention, seeing a large thunder bird pause next to Monserrat. Rowin recognized him. "Talon!" He called to the thunder bird "Help me take this yellow fuck down!" Rowin had never worked along side theses carnivores before but together they made quite a good team. Zipping and rip roaring around Rowin and Talon picked on the beast, attempting to draw its attention for one of his comrades to swoop in and kill the fucker.

SHEVA | SERORA | FURY
See patience is a virtue,
and I'm all out of time right now.
Sheva grimaced at the gruesome sight of the battlefield before her, watching as Attitcus, the brown Aodhian mule, twisted and contorted wickedly in the air as he was dropped, trying desperately to save himself...
But it was too late.
He landed awkwardly, gasping for breath and visibly incapacitated, his limbs jutting out awkwardly beneath him. She had no doubt his back was broken. Rowin followed suit, diving down with a snap of his wings and delivered the final, killing blow, severing Atticus' head from his neck with a few vicious swings from his sabre. Ichor gushed from the wound, staining the desert’s surface crimson in rapid succession.
Sheva shuddered as if the blade had pierced through her own neck, before forcing herself to look away and focus on a new target.
Throwing a quick glance towards Talon, she caught his eye and threw her head towards one Furia in particular that snapped and whined too close to the heels of exhausted Serorans. The Thunderbird - with a few powerful strokes of his wings - began to fly above the creature; diving and swooping, beak clacking as he struck out towards the charcoal black skull.
Angling her flight downward, Sheva pressed her wings close to her side and landed heavily to the ground once more. Within a few strides, she had caught up to the beast’s side and started bucking, kicking wildly and throwing yet more sand into their face and hollering with obnoxious candour, forcing them to change direction and started herding the mutt directly towards Predwin.

R U A N I
Serora | Fury
......
Seeing Atticus go down brought a smile to Ruani’s face. Rowin got in a good hit, now that that barrier fish boy was out of the way. The furies were kicking Aodh’s butt and he’d never felt better while doing it. Well, he’d felt better, since he was kinda hungry and a bit thirsty. The heat lightning flashing on the horizon just made him feel the dust in his throat more pronounced. Still, the pain in his stomach and ache of muscles in his wings just told him he was still there to fight. His herd was suffering more than him, and they were furies, here to protect them.
Still, the furies needed help. As Ruani circled back from his attack on the barrier spouting Aodhian, who he was glad to say had not got back up, he heard a thunderbird shriek in anger. Quickly wheeling in that direction, Ruani saw Screech trapped under a net, with a lance wielding Aodhian approaching for the kill. With a screech of his own, Ruani dropped. His opponent turned at Ruani’s challenge, lance swirling in his direction. Thinking quick and drawing on his talent with fighting, Ruani pushed it away with a burst of teke and hit the ground at a run. He felt part of the lance slice under his wing, into his armor, and let off a shout of frustration. He reared up, smashing down on the horse before they could react. The horse fell over prone and Ruani reared up, then crashed down with his front hooves extended, using a downbeat of his massive thunderbird like wings for added force.
He backed off the body, panting. That might have been a bit overboard, and now his armor felt a bit loose from the lance blow. He looked over and saw Predwin, relatively unoccupied and called to his ally, “Hey, Pred! Give me a hoof here with Screech while I check my armor, ya?”

Hilariously, even though the stallion was more than ready for a fight, it seemed that he was entirely playing as a support, zooming between the others to make sure that everything was clear and good to go for the others to attack and deal the real damage. After all, he was a bit better suited for the fast work anyway. He dipped and dodged for a few moments before taking note of Ruani as he shoved himself into the fray, taking out a Furia with relative ease.
“Hey, Pred! Give me a hoof here with Screech while I check my armor, ya?”
"You got it!" The stallion called back, knowing full well it'd be easier to untangle the poor fella now that the stupid dogs were out of the way. It took some time, as Pred tried to use his teke to untangle the net from around the poor creatures wings, careful to avoid pulling any feathers out as best he could. There were a few moments of uncomfortable screeching from the large bird, but soon enough, he was out and ready to deal some damage.
The stallion smiled, feeling more than just a little proud of himself as the large bird let out a loud cry. "Go cause some hell, Screech, these guys deserve what's coming at them."
As the large bird began taking off, the Pegasus glanced around to see who was nearby.
